my red pearl character doll who serves her red diamond who is being made by my friend!!! (long) rambles below the cut!
their lore is a work in progress but i imagine they are quite interested in the human concept of fashion and trends. she would probably enjoy things such as sewing and embroidery.
she has no weapon, but when i was thinking of what she might use i'd imagined her with a sewing needle and thread as her 'weapon'. this would be good for actual sewing but also as a throwing weapon. she would also be able to stab it into things and climb- but i mean, she is a pearl. she likely wouldn't really be in such a dangerous situation.
i imagine she poofs often to give herself a new, fitting look to fit with her (diamonds) enjoyment and tastes.
i really wanted her to look like she is an ornament to a grand piano or like the damsel in a stage play so i hope that came across.
pearls are such an interesting character to come up with lore for since the other pearls beside Main Character Pearl get very little development. her relationship with her diamond will be updated as we work on it, but for now i have the vague idea in my head of her being a little stress ball or lap cat. sitting beside red diamond and getting gently pet with one gigantic finger while she does her tasks, meetings, so on.
i also have been thinking about what she uses her holograms for since it seems most pearls have different things they use this ability for. ive been thinking she uses it for scheduling and organizing meetings, numbers, lists and tasks primarily. her diamonds role within the authority is primarily this, so she has to excel (hehe) at keeping record with her.

left was my initial idea but i really hated sketching the hair drills and as cute as they were it was too complex imo. i wanted her to still be somewhat animation friendly in the end of the day. right is close to the final drawing as i was just figuring out a bit better how i wanted the hair to look and flow.

This is my first time crocheting a dress. I didn't really do well since this is my first go at it.
I made it for my Hybi nendoroid hehe. Thankfully I somehow made the dress jellyfishy :) Ooo maybe I can add jellyfish tendrils later.
Also I still havent gotten around to changing Hybi's hair. It's wayyy too heavy for her. This counts a Hybi nendoroid update post lol

Steps in the process of creating an OC for a client. Decided on colours then proportion of doll. The first pony leg was too small but after we decided the doll should be 16" tall it all moved smoothly. A few challenges along the way aka bustline and curviness. Also how to do eyes, she definitely needed eyelashes. We were both happy with the finished doll. Meet Pinka the Pony
