Finishing off cats from Mapleshade's Vengence with Deerdapple, Thrushtalon, and Rabbitfur from Thunderclan. Oatspeckle is Ravenwing's dead mentor. Then is cats from Goosefeather's Curse: Heatherstar, Gorsefoot (her deputy), Chiveclaw (medicine cat, Hawkheart's mentor), and Hawkheart from Windclan, Doestar and her dead sister Deerpaw, Cloudberry (medicine cat, formerly Riverclan), Hollypelt, Littlestep, Rockfall, Mistpelt, Weedwhisker, and Mumblefoot from Thunderclan. Houndstar is Shadowclan's leader, Volestar is Riverclan's, and Echosnout is Riverclan's medicine cat, Cloudberry's mentor.

Ravenwing going to the Moonstone and remembering his mentor Oatspeckle. He's not a perfect cat, but he knew he was supposed to tell the prophecy to his leader and was doing his job. I’ll admit, I did feel a prickle of “what the Heck dude?” and resentment, with what would happen to the kittens with his revelation. But Ravenwing didn’t have his mentor to guide him, and I am fond of him.
and I don't think he deserves that much hate, and definitely he didn’t deserve to die, and is a tragic character in his own right.
(on another note, Mapleshade wishing him to rot in the Dark Forest... I thought it was implied that cats widely didn’t know about kitty Hell until the Great Battle/if they were sent there after they die. That seems to be the implication in The New Prophecy with Darkstripe’s reaction when he arrives, Brambleclaw trusting his father somehow, and the trainees in OOTS being bamboozled.
and I think one of the Erins said in a Wands and Worlds chat that they don’t think that the cats generally know about it, or else the queens would use the Dark Forest to scare their kits into behaving.
It may have been the Erins have forgotten, or a retcon.
ZeeStitch’s comic Starless has Mapleshade visiting The Place of No Stars as a kit/apprentice, and now Zee has influenced me to headcanon Mapleshade had visited there prior to those events of her novella. There isn’t really much implication, but it’s one of the only ways that Mapleshade wishing the Dark Forest on Ravenwing, and it being widely unknown to the cats makes sense. And poor Ravenwing does not deserve to go there btw. ;w;)

Skunkpaw? I've never heard of that one. Are they also a missing kit?
(ALSO STINKYPAW LMAO)
Skunkpaw is a black-and-white ghost of an apprentice, briefly seen in Goosefeather's Curse. Cloudberry is able to identify two ghosts that he sees, Dawnfeather and Beetail, but doesn't know who the apprentice is and declares they must have lived a long time ago.
They were only named by a Su Susann statement on Vicky's facebook (does anyone have a place where all of the offhanded Vicky Facebook names can be found?), but I'll have to change the name a bit because there are no skunks in England.
SO Stinkypaw will get added to the ThunderClan family tree in the next draft... now it's just a matter of what their Clanmew name is
Option 1: Their name is something like "Strong-Scent-Paw" Clan cats value strong smells just as much as they value bright colors. The name translation into English doesn't quite carry, and it ends up as "Stinkypaw."
Option 2: They're named after Stinking Bob, an actual, real plant that exists. So his name would translate directly to Stinkingbobpaw, which is stylistically shortened into "Stinkypaw". If this was the case, I would probably casually make him the uncle of One-Eye and Tawnyspots, since it would make his name fit a "plant" theme that Thistletail and Oatspeckle had going on.
So now I have to consider which meaning fits best for Stinkypaw My Beloved

What is the spottedleaf reincarnated AU? I’ve seen the post and I like them! Could you give a summary or if theirs a post explaining the full AU it could you link it? :)
It’s been a while since I’ve talked about this AU so sorry if I miss anything out but the basis of the AU is that what if Mapleshade’s victims (Appledusk, Frecklewish, and Ravenwing) were all reincarnated (like Cinderpelt rather than Jay’s Wing) in order to help them learn from their mistakes in life and eventually ascend to StarClan, since none are deserving of the dark forest but they all also still have lessons to learn. But rather than get their own separate bodies, they’re all incarnated into Spottedleaf when she’s born. They essentially can interact with each other and know who they are, but until Spottedleaf dies she’s unaware of them (unless it’s the humanised branch of the AU, more of that in a sec).
This AU is a collaborative effort on this blog, people just submit ideas and additions to the AU and the stories within it grow from there! It is originally based on one submission I got which I ought to track down once I get time, I believe I did go back and tag it with the reincarnated Spottedleaf au tag.
The general dynamic is that Frecklewish and Appledusk can’t stand each other but grow to like each other more over time spent as Spottedleaf’s guardians (but won’t admit it) while Ravenwing basically tries to keep the peace.
Spottedleaf has a thing going on like Cinderheart did where she has knowledge, memories, and trauma from all three ghosts but doesn’t realise they’re not her own thoughts. The ghosts feel terrible whenever they realise they’re causing Spottedleaf pain, they see her like a daughter.
During the time the three are missing and eventually incarnated into Spottedleaf (they just kind of exist in a limbo they don’t remember until she’s born) Oatspeckle (Ravenwing’s mentor) Birchface and Reedshine band together after realising those close to them are missing from StarClan and try and get to the bottom of where they’ve gone.
Once Spottedleaf dies the three ascend to StarClan and Spottedleaf finally gets to formally meet them.
In the great battle Spottedleaf still dies for good and the three just decimate Mapleshade as revenge for themselves and mainly for Spottedleaf.
Afterwards the three just try and honour Spottedleaf’s memory and help all those they can. Including Squilf and Leaf at their StarClan trial (they interrupt it in order to defend the two) and Shadowsight.
The Human Au version I mentioned is where Spottedleaf is a human and she can see the three ghosts and interact with them and basically they help her out in school etc and they’re all one big family (Apple and Freckle are still rivals though but same dynamic as original AU).
I think those are the main points? If you have any questions feel free to ask!

instead of actually finishing the work i have to do, I have been working on Cloudberry, Goosefeather, Featherwhisker, and their many Sentry issues.
big wall of text under the cut!
Cloudberry is Goosefeather's mentor, and is actually only there on full moon days. She was the Cold Creekbay Sect's Sentry. This means that Goosefeather doesn't have a stable mentor or parental figure after his parents' deaths. When Cloudberry dies, Goosefeather is indifferent. He's more upset at the ghost of his predecessor, Oatspeckle, who didn't bother to look for a Sentry's apprentice until he was already dead. Cloudberry is succeeded by Brambleberry in Cold Creekbay, who is very old by the time that Feathertail ends up training under her.
Goosefeather is such an interesting character. He has a single sister who dies during childbirth, and who claims to see spirits and of whom talk to him often. He and his sister, Lilybloom, are isolated together. He first trains as a Basekeeper's apprentice. However, when Lilypaw starts pursuing the older apprentice named Stormpaw, he gets a vision. Heavy rainfall and blood stained grasses. A stone silhouetted in the distance with a wilting lily at it's base. Gooseclaw knew this was horrible for everyone involved, and with the sect down a Sentry, Gooseclaw told someone. Sun Pineheart understood and made a treaty with Cold Creekbay for their sentry's training, in return for Sunningrocks during the wintertime. They agreed, and training began. That's also when the teasing and anger began. The circumstances to the vision itself were hidden from the clan, but the metaphor was not lost to them. A storm and a wilting lily? Their apprentices are hurting each other, so the sect 'separates' them. They sleep in separate dens and aren't given time alone with each other. Stormclaw reacts with bullying and assault, actually attacking Gooseclaw at one point. Lilyclaw expresses her anger with her brother and cuts him off almost entirely. It completely isolates Gooseclaw. When he is named Goosefeather after his late father, Rookfeather, that's his breaking point. After this, he claims he can see ghosts and actively talks to them. Often. During a meeting with the other Sentries, he will talk to spirits in front of them. In the base, in front of others, anywhere. They are with him.
This is one of the reasons I will never imply anything would be from Goosefeather's perspective. Does he actually see spirits, or not? Thus, we head to Featherwhisker. Goosefeather's "little cousin" as he called him.
Featherwhisker was found dying on the edge of the territory, and Goosefeather brought him back to the clan. He claimed it was a divine choice that this kitten be allowed into the sect.
As he aged, Goosefeather basically raised them, but refused to be called the kitten's parent. Due to that, the sects cannot actually call this adoption, and this is also how Goosefeather ends up calling Featherwhisker "little cousin" and such nicknames. Featherwhisker thought it meant that they were on the same level of importance, and that included the family generation and mutual respect. Goosefeather meant it in a sillier way that he refused to comment on. Conversations often went like this --
Branchgaze: So.. why do you call Featherwhisker 'little cousin'
Goosefeather: I'm just that silly. No extra comment.
Branchgaze: what??? Please elaborate?
Goosefeather: Nope!
(btw, Goosefeather and Branchgaze totally have homoerotic tension but since Goosefeather can't get cat married, they don't becomes mates)
Featherwhisker actually trained fully to be an herbalist before he was given to Goosefeather as a Sentry. Goosefeather was in denial about the whole situation, and was actually dealing with a barrage of visions about the Breezemoor-Nightfall conflict happening. He hated that his little cousin was going to end up like him, isolated.
Being a religious figure is hard work, especially when nobody treats you as a real organism. You are just a figure for them, and nothing more. Isolation is apart of the job, and when death calls, at least a Sentry knows what to expect. After Goosefeather died, Featherwhisker realized that he was right, in many ways.
So, they ended up realizing many things about themselves. They were a catte at birth, but once they realized that being a kattu was an option, they took it.
They also ended up pregnant and gave birth to Speckletail and adopted Whitetail when she was found. As of right The Forest Calls, they are a great-great-grandfather and are very old.
They do know who the next Sentry will be, and as they gaze longingly at the nursery during their last week, they hope for the future, and beg the stars that she'll do the right thing.

I made more cats! Due to the fact that Mapleshade’s role drastically changes in the story, the roles of her victims also change. While two of them are established major roles, one is a role that will play a major part in the future. Please note: these contain spoilers to my fic!
But without further ado, here are the designs!
1. Ravenwing
Tumblr media
I think he’s less than 24 moons in the fic, due to the fact that he’s young and has been not doing so well since the death of Oatspeckle. He misinterpreted the omen, but FORTUNATELY Mapleshade and her kits crossed the river before the flood, so they’re all safe and so is he! He now mentors Drizzlepaw, PrairieClan’s future medicine cat!
I don’t have much to talk about his design because there’s honestly not much to discuss.
2. Frecklewish
Tumblr media
So Frecklewish doesn’t have TOO much going on with her as of right now, besides a mention or two. She DOES, however, play a major role in the story that I have yet to reveal. Will the adder bite incident still happen? Hopefully not, but we shall see!
I didn’t want to overdo the spots on Frecklewish, as I struggle with more complex designs. It’s why I made the other designs a bit simple. However, I like it a lot! I can imagine Frecklewish as a big cat, maybe inheriting it from Oakstar.
3. Appledusk
Tumblr media
I hate how he’s a good design yet a scummy cat (in my eyes). Anyways, currently Appledusk has been exiled for about a moon, as of where we last left off in the story. Darkstar’s reason was because he betrayed more than just his Clan. And Appledusk is honestly very bitter about it, he may even go for more... drastic measures.
As I said before, I hate how it’s a good design on a scummy cat. I wanted Applefrost to have a striking resemblance to him, so I made Applefrost’s design similar with some notable exceptions.
Go read my fic about bisexual cats starting a Clan, by the way! The story’s still developing, and a new factor has been added to PrairieClan’s troubles!
.... I might start a blog for this kind of stuff.

future leader/deputy pairings for funsies :)
thunderclan
- ivystar (😓) & spotfur
- i don't want squirrelstar. she's old & i'm tired of firestar's lineage shit. ik ivypool is. ivypool. and related to firestar but she's like the only reasonable choice here let's be honest. plus i think it's funny. spotfur is her sister in this au but i think a little sister nepotism is okay. & spotfur would eventually step down & retire. (then twigbranch can become deputy and leader).
shadowclan
- sunstar & lightleap or lightstar & sunbeam
- i have not read asc But. either of these combinations are fantastic. trust me.
skyclan
- dewstar & needleclaw
- dewspring is reliable generic warrior #1736292 & needleclaw is a violetshine baby so she's special To Me and rootspring is too cringefail to be deputy but tbh in this au i might give her rootspring's role & if that's the case then turtlecrawl can be deputy under dewstar
windclan
- smokestar & songleap
- in an ideal world i'd be picking sedgewhisker as future leader of windclan but she's getting a little old (😭😭😭) so i chose a breezepelt clone. her name is funny too. & songleap bc she's a sedgewhisker descendant & i loaf sedgewhisker
riverclan
- erm
