#persona 3#persona 3 spoilers#aigis#minato arisato#makoto yuki#nyx avatar#lizzy does art#a belated january 31st from me to you! i technically started this at the start of january but got a lil sidetracked teehee! but its done no#i am forever enamored with the fight with nyx avatar- not only is she gorgeous but the boss fight's design really sells the themes of p3 im#i still love how much the major arcana are intertwined with p3's story- from the full moon operations and the final fight#and the lengthiness of the fight. i personally don't consider it tedious bc i came Very Prepared (its the love for grinding in tartarus!)-#but i think that the length has always been a testament to the indomitable force that nyx and nyx avatar are- something that should be-#impossible to go against! yet sees continues to show their perseverance in the endeavor because that's the choice they ultimately made.#i hope to get the chance to draw nyx avatar again sometime! she is absolutely lovely to draw. i had a lot of fun working on this :D#and i also hope everyone has been enjoying the remake <3 i've been enjoying it a lot but i won't be elaborating here. take care!

The Fall (For You) — Night 1
Pairings: Nyx x reader
Warnings: Male!reader, smallish version of Nyx, they/them used for Nyx, night 1 is sfw and basically just the intro to this series
Summary: A young college student awakens one night due to an eerie sense of dread. Unbeknownst to him, a strange and powerful entity resides in this town. Said entity decides to welcome the new student personally.
It takes over instantaneously; an overwhelming sensation burns through your chest with every painful, shallow breath. Your eyes open, but everything else refuses to move. Like heavy metal ingots your arms remain glued on top of your chest, clutching at the sheets like a freighted child.
“The light…” you think to yourself, “It's so bright outside...it can't be morning already…”
After what seems like an eternity your muscles give in and obey, bringing you over to the window. The moon — a full moon — shines in all of her eerie glory, covering the streets below in a green hue. Despite the intensity of its brightness you find it hard to look away. Something draws you in, holding your gaze while your lungs ache from how deep your breathing has become.
Then, from somewhere behind you, a voice catches your attention…
“Beautiful, isn't it?” The voice said, the surprise of hearing someone else within your room caused you to hurt your neck with how quickly you spun around. That sense of pain soon faded, however, replaced by the icy chill that ran through your veins as your eyes adjusted to your dark room and focused on what the voice belonged to.
Moving was impossible. Gazing upon the strange being that was standing in your room rendered your body immobile and your mind racing; scattered with any possible explanation as to what they were or what was going on.
Their appearance alone felt unnatural. Their body wasn't even visible standing in that dark corner, only a pale, expressionless face could be made out. Well, expressionless wasn't quite right... There did appear to be a faint smile. Though maybe that was just your mind playing tricks on you. It was obvious that this was not a human regardless. Even the way that they moved — or talked, for that matter — was inhuman in nature.
Unable to look away, you stared at their face (mask? face?) for what felt like hours, until they spoke up again. Their voice sounded strange too; as if it were multiple voices layered on top of one another. You couldn't distinguish much. One layer or voice sounded like a woman's, but another sounded like it belonged to a young man. Then the voices would blend together and, if you didn't know any better, you'd swear that they echoed inside of your room. It was hard to tell which direction the voices even came from, especially since this being's lips didn't move (did they even have lips?!)
“Are you afraid?”
Fear. Dread. Helplessness. Anxiety. What didn't you feel at the moment?! Of course you were afraid! Look at what was standing across from you!
You nodded your head, unable to speak either since your throat felt bone-dry. The being chuckled at your response, taking a step out of the dark side of your room and into the moonlight seeping through the window.
Tall. Very tall. Now that they were closer the truth of their height made itself known. They were easily two feet taller than you.
Black. Pitch black. Feathers covering their body. Your eyes scanned their form; only vaguely humanoid in its shape, parts of their body were covered in what appeared to be black feathers. You couldn't comprehend much more in your current state. Every new detail about them faded into the chaos of your mind, overshadowed by fear.
The being continued towards you, seemingly in no rush, nor in a threatening way for that matter. While they weren't cautious, they did appear to be... curious? They towered over you but never made any move to attack. Maybe they didn't need to. Maybe the psychological damage they caused just by appearing before a human would be enough...
“I did not intend to scare you. It has been a long time since a human remained intact during this hour.” They began, “Please, think nothing of this encounter. Go back to sleep, perhaps I will visit some other time.” Just as quickly as they appeared did they leave; fading into a black mist. And with their departure came the strange disappearance of that eerie, green moonlight, replaced by a softer, calming light.
It would be a while before you fell back asleep. Once you were alone again you slumped down onto the floor, exhausted and confused by everything that just happened. If that was all a nightmare, you really wish you would just wake up already...
