Dreblr Survey Results Pt.2 - Sharing the Joy!

Here are the results for the longer questions! These are some of the lore moments, AUs and headcanons that we love.

I haven't included every response, only the ones that seemed the most unique and non-repetitive. There were a lot to sift through. Everything here has been directly pasted from the form.

Moment staged duo got confirmed they were still working together I predicted that shit ages ago and I won't shut up about the fact i was RIGHT

I think there are two moments that are far too important for me. The first one being the moment that Punz and Dream met up after Dream got out of prison. It was so so magical, after A YEAR of waiting and clinging to the idea of stages finale, after it had been so long and people that just didnt believe saying no, it's not stages because it doesnt make sense or that it got retconned, They Were Wrong. And they couldnt take that win from me, even if they tried. It was even funnier when I saw people a day later finding the clip of Punz and Dream talking about Drem's "betrayal", long before he had been imprisoned, and they called it "a lost clip". But it wasnt lost, not to me. I had always known and I Had Been There when it had happened. Unbelievable, I really felt like I Won.

The Techno and Dream prison podcast will always be important to me

Prison break. Dream being surprised at returning for him

prison break, largely for the mass dreblr hysteria

...I'll have to say the jailbreak; I was hoping for one since before I saw any of the streams - back when all I really knew about the prison arc came from the title of a DSMP playlist that YouTube's algorithm recommended to me on my second day in the fandom (true story) - and seeing it play out honestly made my entire year.

The moment in the finale where c!Tommy asks c!Dream to take off his helmet and he does it. I shed real tears.

The moment where cdream metaphorically lost his mask and was just someone, all of a sudden

The disc finale, which can be read on so many levels with the infos you're given it's actually incredible.

The DSMP finale doesn't just hit hard, but I also enjoy the conclusion it gave to the conflict between Dream, Tommy, and the prison era, especially looking it at from a literary view.

The 2nd moment is more really the entire actual finale between Dream, Punz, Tommy and Tubbo - Staged duo got revealed to the wider world and my friends and I were celebrating for having been proven right again, it was just so amazing. And it really continued on and ended better than any of us could have hoped for and anyone arguing that it's bad that Dream got redeemed And Then The Nuke Happened, in my opinion, fundamentally didnt understand what Dream and Tommy's whole Feud was about - yes I said that Tommy is my least favorite character, but that's a good thing for a lot of instances, especially the finale, so when He Finally Understood His Enemy, I was downright in tears Sorry for the rant, I had to get all of that out qwq

c!Dream killing c!Sam once in prison (post escape, when c!Sam was locked up) after days of letting him live. It's special because for the crimes that had been committed against c!Dream in that cell, he was rather merciful. Particularly for his reputation as a heartless killer.

So many moments. I had heard of and seen things and knew a bit about DSMP before. But I believe the first stream I watched live was the disc finale. So I'm gonna say "what am I without you? Yourself."

Initial disc war/conflicts, <3. The banter and jokes are so dear to me, and that was how I found the DSMP in the first place, so they have a very special place in my heart.

Destruction of Las Nevadas when c!Q was completely destroyed lmao. It feel like serenity to me. Justice, y'know.

vassal scene just everything about it when wilbur asked to be dream's vassal what it meant for their character arcs it was a turning point no going back and it meant so. much. for their characters.

The 'Daddy Dream!!' moment. The funny overshadow The turning point for c!Dream. He's chill with L'manberg at that point(whaaa??) Wilbur pushed him into a role with Threats (will be so Ambitious) it's just Very interesting in general

Ranboo giving Techno the new axe ☹️🤧

Idk if it counts as lore but Dream following Puffy around the server

ranboo trading foolish ownership of the shulker for a favor. and then forgetting he did this. an insight into enderwalking ranboo

Bro EVRRYTHING involving c!dream even in the background for 0,01 sec

C!George blowing up the whole dsmp and killing everyone and reaching godhood in his dreams, C!George standing in front of the prison longingly during a c!q lore stream, C!Dream's spirit speech 🥰🥰, the whole final minutes of the c!discduo finale with the nuke and the softness and vulnerability in dream's voice, every time dreamXD appeared 💖💖

Theyre not one of my favorites, but I did watch all of aimseys dsmp streams. Their thing was "Never waste a pretty sunset," and if I think about that on the way home from work, sometimes I'll take the longer scenic route to get a really good view of the sunset, just because of that phrase.

When wilbur lost the election. It was my first lore stream and after that it only improved in my eyes

The entirety of fundy's arc with wilbur, im still insane over that. Also when sapnap said he was born in fire that was swag

"I'm his friend, Tommy", "If my best friend is a necromancer-", literally any moments where someone is acknowledging themselves as Dreams friend or that they care about him.

I really like Dream and Sapnap’s confrontation after Dream escaped from prison, and also the staged finale reveal with Dream meeting up with Punz. They’re such good character and plot moments!! (Also there’s the entire prison arc but this thing would be 12 paragraphs long)

Syndicate Dream is the beloved AU. Let my man heal and have friends and healthy relationships and pets.

I still love Syndicate!Dream AUs (or really any AU that sets him in a place where he can actually try and heal from everything that's happened to him)

The Syndicate AU is just so sweet. It's literally the only "good" ending, I'm sorry. I just love it very, very much.

Dreamon

I love the dreamon stuff

Anything involving Dreamons/Dreamon hunters, esp. that focuses on expanding the worldbuilding and not just “generic demon possession plot.”

We glossed over the "Why does god look like you?" and the whole Dreamon mini arc Far Too Quickly, Like YOU GUYS, WE COULD HAVE HAD MONSTER HUNTERS AND MORE WORLDBUILDING-

Syndicate Dream aus are always so comfy, I enjoy reading those a lot. Protégé Tommy aus can be fun to read (I love a good discduo dynamic). I also love reading superhero aus, as long as they don’t depict Dream as a cardboard cutout of evil. I like to read a lot of aus, but those ones stuck out to me especially.

Ranboo's enderwalk isn't actually taller he's just more confident and stands up straighter

Love manhunt AUs, they are the best. also love when Dteam focussed superheroAU. for canon compliet love cDNF or George just going of his rockers. George going insane after canon also great.

I had a headcanon that gods can't fit entirely in the world of the server: Callahan left his voice out, Drista and Kristin left their bodies and possessed players, and DreamXD left his real face so he made a new one from Dream's

Okay so theres this AU that only got like two posts on tumblr I think its called Stoplight? Where Dream is an eldrich abomination that thought he was just playing with his friends and that none of the wars were real, hell he doesn't even know what war is! He thought all of DSMP was just one big game of Manhunt where he pretended to play and had a safe word system which Ranboo triggered on accident and revealed to everyone that Dream could stop all of this at any time.

My own canon-divergent AU featuring enemies-to-friend pre-finale Dream and Tommy, 👍. Tommy stalks Dream to a house he made, tries to kill him, fails and gets captured, Dream experiments revival on him and ends up making him immortal, Tommy decides to drag Dream down with him and also make him immortal, and they somehow kind of become “friends” along the way. They are very dear to me, <3. As for a headcanon, the first thing that comes to mind is the idea that Dream’s first limbo was the prison. Another one, tho, is the idea that the revival book is binary, and that when it gets burnt it worms its way into the code, bringing the specified player back to life.

"Oooo Ooo Oooo Ooo." The Enderman sat in a field of flowers humming to himself, tail flickering around as the wind carried some petals past.

"You didn't have to look my way." The Enderman tilts his head to the side, following the petals. Spotting the small ram and his son beginning to approach.

"Your eyes still haunt me to this day." A warm smile on the brunette's face slowly melted one on the Endermans' as well, Tubbos, mismatched eyes look down to the toddler in his arms.

"But you did. Yes, you did" The Enderman looks down to the allium he's holding and then back up to his boy.

"You didn't have to say my name" As Tubbo got closer, Ranboo reached over and placed the flower between Michael's ear.

"Ignite my circuits and start a flame. But you did." A smile formed on Michael's face as the two of them sat down to join the Enderman.

"Oh, Turpentine erase me whole." The memory of that day starts to go dark, as Ranboo's memory slips.

"Cause I don't want to live my life alone." Ranboo reaches a hand out to try and get Tubbo's attention, only for the Ram's blackout figure to move further away.

"Well, I was waiting for you all my life." Ranboo closed his outstretched hand, tears staining his face as he sat up.

"Oh." A small bzt comes from his hand as he begins to open the tightly closed fist.

"Why" A small honeybee sits in his palm, wings a little crinkled but not damaged from the pressure.

"Set me free, my... honey-bee," The bee begins to fly away. A small smile on his face as tears formed.

"Ho-ney-Bee." The bumblebee flies around the Enderman a few times before taking off for good. A sad chuckle as the Enderman gets up for the day.

"You didn't have to smile at me." An image of Tubbo comes into his mind when they first met, so innocent and sweet. His bee boy.

A soft smile on his face, horns barely showing past his fringe as he wore his green shirt. "Your grin's the sweetest that I've ever seen." Comparing the ram to how he looks now.

Scars trailing over his body from the firework, a detonation button for his nukes in hand. "But you did. Yes, you did." But he still had a smile on his face, he was still him, he still was his bee.

"You didn't have to offer your hand." He remembers following Tubbo around with a grass block on him, the ram talking his ear off about his plans to build Snowchester.

"Cause since I've kissed it I am at your command." A smile on their faces as they talk to Foolish about building them a mansion to live in together. "But you did."

"Oh, Turpentine erase me whole," The duo explained to Tommy how they fell in love after the marriage. Tom's mouth was wide open with shock but congratulated them.

"I don't want to live my life alone." Ranboo made it back to his house, only to find out his 'Do Not Read' book was missing, only to later find it in one of his double chests.

"I was waiting for you all my life." Reaching Dream's cell in Pandora's Vault he shifted awkwardly as Dream began to thank the hybrid for the help, Ranboo denied any form of help as Dream revealed his chest was full of copies of his missing book.

"Oh," Opening one of the books, he's met with the realisation the front page is blank...

"Why." Only a :) on the page.

"Set me free, my... honey-Bee." Ranboo began to freak out, as blocks around him began to collapse, and the prison floor began to crumble around him, causing him to fall to his death in the pit of lava.

"Ho-ney-Bee." He awakes in his obsidian 'panic room' rocking back and forward. The signs around the room provide no comfort. He cries as he tries to remember anything. His friends, his enemies, what side he was on - anything.

"Hello Goodbye, Twas nice to know you." Ranboo goes to find another stronghold, deciding to make a lab for him to relearn the powers he's long forgotten.

Honeybee.

"How I find myself without you" He reaches for the potion labelled 'remember test #1'. Hands shaking as he gulped it down as he sat in his lab.

"That I'll never know." He panics as he flips through his first memory book. Seeming frustrated with the words, he lights a fire.

Honeybee.

"I let myself go." As he slowly moves the book to the flame, the sides of the book begin to catch aflame. Only to quickly put out the flames realising to burn the book would mean to forget.

I let myself go.

"Hello Goodbye, I'm rather crazy." The cold breeze hit his face as he realised Nikki and Technoblade saw him. After talking to him and getting his opinion on things, they began to loosen up.

"And I never thought I was crazy." The two extended an invitation to The Syndicate with open arms. Only to have them discuss Snowchester. -

"But what do I know?" Ranboo runs into his and Tubbo's home to destroy the ladders up to Michael's room.

But what do I know?

"I let myself go." Finally exhaling as The Syndicate leaves, a chuckle of relief comes from Tubbo as he gently punches the Enderman's arm.

I let myself go.

"Honeybee." The chilled air flows through the window in Snowchester, Ranboo takes a second to regain his composure as a tear slides down his face because of the memories.

"Honeybee." He looks down at the rose sitting on the window sill, a small bee landed comfortably on the petals. the buzzing providing comfort.

Honeybee.

"Hello Goodbye, Twas nice to know you." He hears soft giggles behind him from his son.

"How I find myself without you." "That I'll never know." He wipes the tears off his face as he turns and smiles at the toddler. The piglin gave a warm smile to the enderman as he waved to his dad.

Honeybee.

"I let myself go." Ranboo walks over and leans down to place a kiss on Michael's forehead before moving back to the stove.

"Hello goodbye, I'm rather crazy." A sigh leaves his mouth as he's glad he's back in the present. He begins to make the rest of the pancakes.

"And I never thought I was crazy" He remembers finding Micheal in the nether.

But what do I know?" The smile on the Piglin's face when he saw the gold carrots in Ranboo's hand.

Hello Goodbye, twas was nice to know you." Tuboo and Micheal sit patiently as Ranboo sets the timer of a camera before sprinting over to them. Smiles on all their faces.

That I'll never know.

"How I find myself without you." A small thump and something grabbing his leg causes the Enderman to look down.

"Hello Goodbye, I'm rather crazy." The piglin clings to his leg smiling up as Ranboo bends down to pick him up.

I let myself go.

"And I never thought I was crazy." He boops the kid's nose as he places him on the table next to where he's cooking.

Hello Goodbye, twas was nice to know you." Michael scoffs down the pancakes before taking Ranboo's hand to play with him.

But what do I know?

How I find myself without you." Ranboo smiles as he gets onto his knees to play blocks with his son, his tail flicking around.

"Hello Goodbye, I'm rather crazy." The enderman's focus on building the perfect tower stops him from hearing the door click.

"And I never thought I was crazy." Just as he finishes placing the last block, the Piglin is up and running to the door. A small brunette walks in shrugging his jacket off with a smile on his face.

Now you have to go.

So, here's some of my c!disc duo conclusions, since I've been seeing people talk about it. I have a lot of fun reading people's opinions about this, so, please, feel encouraged to add yours too and/or disagree with me

c!Dream:

-What he did to Tommy was abuse and he did do terrible things in general

-No, he is not an evil mastermind or a psychopath. He's just an asshole, like a lot of people in that server. He did not have half of the control people like to think he did. And I don't think he could even be considered a villain, especially because the dsmp is not black and white, there are multiple sides to everything.

-Prison arc was completely inhumane. He was tortured, desperate for human interaction, and suffering a lot. Nothing justifies the treatment he got.

-The pain he went through during prison does not redeem him.

-His character does not revolve around Tommy, even if they're a huge part of each other's story

c!Tommy:

-He's not completely innocent. He did do terrible things. <- even if it's easier to forgive him because of his age and because of the people around him and the context he was in. I personally think his side is understandable, but it's important to at least acknowledge he did do bad things, regardless of the possible motives

-He knew about Dream being tortured in prison, and not only he didn't do anything about it, but supported the idea <- he was abused by Dream and it's not a surprise he'd act like that. But again, it doesn't change the fact he did y'know. Let's not pretend he didn't do things

-He was a child and not to blame. <- Some people might disagree, but even if he was the one to get himself in trouble a lot of times, I genuinely don't see how you could blame a teenager. Sure, he started a lot of the fights, he caused a lot of problems, he did a lot of bad stuff to a lot of people. And of course there would be consequences to his actions, but I genuinely can't see how someone can say he deserved what he went through. That kid needed supervision, I genuinely believe it's not his fault.

-Just like Dream, he is a very flawed person. Many of his decisions are reckless, selfish, and even just straight up cruel sometimes. He was not an angel, and there were times he was in the wrong. Doesn't mean he doesn't deserve compassion (again, just like Dream).

-When he said sorry to Dream at the finale, it didn't mean he was forgiving him. Tommy was apologizing for the nuke (aka. for killing them) because he had just seen that maybe there was a chance Dream could get better. He apologized bc he was killing a human, someone that had potential of becoming a better person.

-You can't "make Tommy the victim". He is a victim.

In general:

-They're complex characters, they're not just black and white (it's easier to simplify them into a angel kid that did nothing wrong and a emotionless psycopath that's obssessed with them, but that takes away their whole complexity and it's just not true)

-Quoting tumblr user milktearosethorn (who I have never interacted with in my life but has a opinion I agree with) "They're two soldier on opposite sides, forced to fight when they were both too young. And if it weren't for that, they could've been friends, in a kinder world. That's why the finale is so good" <- I love this bc it's true and I agree.
