i know the infinite update was an april fool's joke but do you have any lore hcs regarding it?? the dimension an with the end ships with all the books with garbled text and stuff talking about war/plans and stuff.....I feel there's a lot to unpack there

if anything, the infinite update gave us a glimpse of the true craziness of portal magic, hinting at an infinite multiverse - there are worlds beyond the overworld, the nether, and the end, more than can ever be counted.

i haven't thought much about the books, but now that you mention it i really want to be able to integrate them in some way. the garbled text?? the cryptic messages?? the end ships???? it emphasizes the end as a deeply magical, eldritch dimension, uniquely attuned to the voice of the multiverse. (my personal headcanon is that the end is a "birthplace" of new dimensions, where they coalesce from the primordial void - an Ender myth holds that each static speck in the sky is a new universe taking shape, far away.)
