Days 9-10
"Extraterrestrial Relic"
Took a long while to figure things out, its a bit janky in places and im sure there are better ways to do things but I got the nodes to do what I wanted.
The other, other procedural generation thing going on this November is #nodevember, a node-based procedural challenge for technical artists. Using only basic primitives and procedural generation, they try to make something that matches the theme of the day.
Most of the people participating are using procedural shaders but that’s not a strict requirement. Just making a procedural something and tagging your post about it with #nodevember.
N̶o̶devember day 3 (we have to stop meeting like this)
late again, got kinda goofed by some friends and an event i had to go to oh well, sadly no gifs at the moment i’m exhausted as it’s currently 4 am.
but today we got in some cool stuff.
a fully implemented sword swing
basic enemy hitboxing and damage taking
more death juice for the player,
he bones of a unit class that we can use to easily make many units(once i sit down and do sprites
for a total of 3~ hours i would say that’s pretty good i sadly spent almost an hour trying to get a hang on unity collides and triggers. which is a bit much but this is a learning experience.
