I wonder if it would be possible to create an ultra-efficient, zero-emission, Water/Steam powered vehicle that uses a heat pump as its source of boiling instead of a burning fuel.

Because if you just use conventional heating elements, it’ll be less efficient than a pure EV due to energy type transitional losses, but heat pumps are usually about 300-400% efficient since they move heat, not create it. So I just wonder if exploiting that efficiency could be used to create a long-range, Water-Powered Hybrid vehicle that’s even more efficient than modern EVs, all while using a fraction of the battery capacity.

We could also seal off the Water/Steam engine part and use a condenser core like some of the last generation of steam cars did in the early 1900s. That way you’d never have to refill the water. Once it’s steam, it can just be cooled back down and reused. All you’d have to do is charge it like a normal EV.

#Funy jokey #I've become addicted to cheap zigbee switches and sensors #I set this up so the air conditioner in our bedroom will stop running when the bucket is almost full theres something wrong with me #It works too and i love it :')#Next up is a small switched pump that will pump the water out for a set amount of time #Directly to the balcony plants #Our windowsill is too high up to run the condensed water out with gravity sadly so some kind of reservoir with sensor and pump has to do #Also planning a dedicated channel for outside air directly to the compressor with some kind of blowback valve #I hate mobile acs for how they are designed but there are no good high capacity mobile acs on the market yet #This should mitigate most of the issues though #The main issue is the lack of separation of compression and expansion stages which is why you should use outside air for the former #AND i have an hourly energy price contract which means i should switch the ac on/of on a set of preset conditions #I love tinkering and this is both pretty cheap and actually rewarding us with much better sleep during heat waves & less fuss #Also electricity savings #I put a bunch of stuff on this kind of sensing/logic already and its so nice to see your expenses go down with little to no impact #I feel like such a dad even though i dont have any kids #All of this is completely local and relatively cheap to set up but you have to like tinkering a little #Hmu if you want some advice i can point you away from large cloud based nonsense & help with initial startup #The two investments are a raspberry pi and a zigbee dongle #Possibly also a p1 reader or similar if you want data directly from your utilities #And after that most investments should be 10 dollars max per sensor or switch and most of the ali ones will work #And even have fancy features like somewhat accurately displaying power usage and current #Sorry for extremely rambly long tags i just get excited sometimes

700 Palestinians were killed in the last 24 hours and the airstrikes are more violent each night. Gaza's hospitals have fuel left for two more days. Israel only allowed aid into Gaza on the condition they didn't carry fuel. The Indonesian hospital has shut down already, because doctors have no supplies and no choice but to let the wounded die. They're calling it a collapse but the term doesn't do it justice.

Over a 100 incubator babies are at risk. There are 50.000 pregnant women in Gaza right now, and 5.500 due to give birth this month. Menstruating people are taking pills in order to stop their periods, because they do not have pads or water to maintain hygiene. Surgeons are operating without anesthesia. Water is not reaching Gazans because there's no electricity or fuel for water pumps.

There's no excuse for this. Israel justifies the airstrikes by saying they want to destroy Hamas infrastructure and release the hostages, but they have refused to negotiate for their release. Hamas informed Israel they wanted to release two elderly women without anything in return, and Israel refused. Netanyahu said they wouldn't take their own civilians back because it was "mendacious propaganda." When the hostages were finally released, Netanyahu prohibited the hospital from giving press releases. Yocheved Lifshitz went behind their backs and talked to the press anyway, saying she was treated very well by Hamas, but the government abandoned them. They're being used as straw men. Israel is conditioning the entry of fuel to the release of hostages and yet, according to The Wall Street Journal, when Hamas proposed to exchange 50 hostages for fuel they denied. IDF officials have said they fear the release of more hostages because that might withhold the order to their ground invasion. They do not care as long as they can use the hostages as a pretext for their slaughtering.

There's a turning tide for Palestine in public support. Support for Israel was built through decades of propaganda and we are making a dent into it. Zionists are desperate, holding zoom meetings to promote zionism, but we have to do so much more. We have to shame people in power into supporting the Palestinian cause.

Call your representatives. The Labour Party in the UK had an emergency meeting after several councilors threatened to resign if they didn't condemn Israeli war crimes. Calling to show your complaints works, even more if you live in a country that funds genocide.
