What’s your preferred outcome for Navarro? I’m in the ‘she lived and is being gay w Danvers’ camp but I’ve seen convincing arguments for her dying but a lot of those hinge on Tsalal being a hallucination and her having died there and that doesn’t really track for me because it throws the reveal and ending out of whack. Also did you see the cleaning ladies coming? I saw some theories about Blair but I wrote them off and didn’t expect it. I really liked that for an answer though, brings the story full circle on a way that makes the finale rival 405 as my favorite. What’s yours?
as a viewer, i don't feel the need to choose
as someone in fandom, of course she lives. the whole point is to keep playing with the barbies forever. and in my humble opinion danvers and her don't know it yet but they're in love
i did not see the cleaning ladies coming, but i also did not spare much thought to the mystery tbh, i trusted the show to solve it. i was more focused on the characters and their misery and tbh after the 5th episode (also my fave) i probably could not have imagined a more merciful ending for everyone
episode 6 was literally the light at the end of a long dark tunnel

The final episode just screamed “studio interference” to me :-(
that or Lopez just couldn’t make up her mind as to who she wanted the culprit to be. I feel like neither angle was properly committed to.
As good as returning agency to the native women was… it really did feel like an exec found out as ep6 was about to film that it was gonna be about spirits and told her Absolutely Not, you damn well better give the s1bros mundane explanations for everything. Because frankly the exposition dump was very inconsistent with the quality of the rest of the season, and failed to fill in a serious number of holes.

It's honestly so legendary how Danvers and Navarro both have men in their lives who genuinely care about them and their well-being but they're both like no no I need to self destruct and go have gay angst with my coworker/frenemy/narrative foil

i love rose aguineau. she's a former professor who ran away to live in alaska. she has a sexy red velvet dress. she smokes weed. she talks to the ghost of her dead boyfriend. she knows a concerning amount about how to dispose of a dead body. what's not to love

And if she did either walk into the ice like her sister or stay around, the only person she would ever come back to see, whether it’s in the spirit world or physical world, would be Danvers.
