do you have any tips on hormonal pimples? or like teen pimples (idk what they r called) because i have so much of them but none of these toners and serums are helping.
Make sure to wash your face twice daily with a gentle cleanser. Avoid scrubbing your skin too hard, this can make acne worse.
Look for products that are labeled as "non-comedogenic," which means they won't clog your pores. This is especially important for makeup and moisturizers.
Products containing benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid may be helpful in treating acne. Start with a lower strength and gradually increase if needed.
Prescription strength retinoids can be very effective in treating acne, but they can be irritating to the skin. Talk to your doctor and start with a lower strength and use as directed.
Here are some product recommendations:
Cleansers:
CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser
Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash
Moisturizers:
Cetaphil Oil Control Moisturizer SPF 30
La Roche-Posay Effaclar Mat Mattifying Moisturizer
Salicylic Acid Products:
The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Solution
Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment
Benzoyl Peroxide Products:
Neutrogena Rapid Clear Stubborn Acne Spot Gel
Acne.org 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide Treatment
Non-Comedogenic Sunscreen:
Neutrogena Clear Face Liquid Lotion Sunscreen SPF 30
EltaMD UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46
Spot Treatments:
Mario Badescu Drying Lotion
Kate Somerville EradiKate Acne Treatment
The food you eat is super important for how your body's hormones work. Hormones are messengers that your body makes to control your growth, metabolism etc. They travel through your blood and tell different parts of your body what to do. Eating a good mix of healthy foods helps keep these hormones in check. Things like protein, good fats, fiber, vitamins, and minerals help make and control hormones. For example protein is needed for hormones like insulin and growth hormone, while healthy fats help with hormones like estrogen and testosterone.
Also, when you're stressed a lot, your body makes more of a hormone called cortisol, which can mess up other hormones. Moving your body through exercise can help with hormones by reducing stress and making you feel happy. Also, sleep is really important. Not getting enough sleep can mess up hormones that control hunger and fullness.
So, eating healthy foods, managing stress, staying active, and getting enough sleep are all really important. They help keep your hormones in balance and make sure your body works well.
Most importantly, don't let acne affect your self-esteem. You are beautiful just the way you are! Pimples are very normal and they do not take away from how amazing you are <3

Photographing and fixing up on this delightfully gloomy Saturday. Since it’s sitting out anyways, here’s my doll first aid kit. This is only for light repair so not restringing or eye replacement but with these things I can pretty much do everything else…
Tumblr media Tumblr media
From left to right:
- Pleasant Company wire brush for straight hair, it makes me happy every time I use it and doesn’t flake paint like the wood AG ones
- large hair ties for simple limb tightening
- small clear hair ties for hair styling
- Magic Eraser cut down into small blocks for clean up and light mark removal
- Sad Giraffe (he’s a food pick but he’s a sad giraffe so…) for picking knots out of neck ties
- Amoden ink remover which doesn’t work on limbs but works a charm on cloth bodies and fabrics
- Neutrogena Rapid Clear Spot Gel which is the product I’ve had the most success with removing “bruises”, paint, etc
- American Girl hair pick for curly hair
- cotton tip swabs for everything
- Tacky Glue for wig replacement (the acetone for wig removal lives upstairs with the nail polish)
- Golden brown paint for scratched eyelids
- Produce scrubber for getting dried acne cream off, especially between fingers
- Nail buffers to buff out scratches and shine marks
- super magic conditioning spray that smells like candy! I’m pretty enthusiastic about it.
- water
- scissors for everything
- paintbrush
- gallon bag to hold body stuffing
Not pictured: sponge rollers which are in Caroline’s hair right now and a vintage AG hospital gown which is keeping Hot Mess Sam modest
I also keep little notes people send me about doll stuff, like the note I got from the doll hospital about once getting a doll that smelled like soup.

What are the best products or treatments to remove blackheads?
When effectively removing blackheads, using the proper face cleansers can make a significant difference. Look for face cleansers specifically targeting blackheads, such as salicylic acid or glycolic acid. These ingredients help to exfoliate and unclog pores, preventing the formation of blackheads. Neutrogena offers a range of face cleansers that can help in blackhead removal. Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash with salicylic acid is known for penetrating pores and treating acne, including blackheads.
Neutrogena Rapid Clear Stubborn Acne Cleanser with benzoyl peroxide is also effective against blackheads and acne. Consider using a mechanical exfoliating cleanser with gentle scrubbing particles to remove dead skin cells and debris contributing to blackheads physically. Neutrogena Deep Clean Gentle Scrub is a suitable option. Consistency is key when using these products. Regular cleansing, preferably twice daily, and proper exfoliation can lead to visible improvements in blackhead removal. Always follow up with a non-comedogenic moisturizer to maintain skin balance and hydration.

These are the 3 main products I use on my face in the morning. The Rapid clear from Neutrogena I use only when I start breaking out. I have a stubborn patch on my chin and jaw line right now. That is usually where I get my acne, every once in a while I'll get some on my forehead. The oil free acne wash I use on my entire face with the brush from my last post. Feels really good and lathers nice and makes my face feel so fresh. I use the face serum after my face dries off. Before I started this routine, I had a big dry patch from between my eyebrows, down my nose and the side of my nose. Now it is completely gone. The serum soaks into my skin quickly so theres no sticky or weird texture to it.

out of curiosity, what face wipes do you use? i've been looking for good ones
firstly when i look for face wipes, im looking for something with salicylic acid acne treatment in the formula bc that’s what really does the heavy lifting to keep your skin clear
my go to used to be the neutrogena pink grapefruit cleansing wipes and they worked wonderfully for me, but i think they might be discontinued considering i’ve had a hell of a time finding any recently
i’ve just switched to neutrogena “rapid clear treatment pads” which definitely have the salicylic acid i was looking for, but they also seem to be a little harsher on the skin bc the primary inactive ingredient is denatured alcohol which dries out your skin and can make certain skin types more prone to breakouts. i have oily type skin so for my purposes i’m not too worried. i will say when using them around your nose and mouth it’s hard not to breathe in the alcohol smell.
but anyway the long term results of these new ones are yet to be seen but they seem to be doing an okay job so far

How do Neutrogena face cleansers compare to spot controlling facial wash products?
Neutrogena offers a range of face cleansers tailored to different skin types and concerns, while spot controlling facial wash products specifically target acne-prone skin. Neutrogena spot controlling facial wash face cleansers, such as their Hydro Boost Gel Cleanser or Oil-Free Acne Wash, focus on gently removing dirt, oil, and makeup without stripping the skin's natural moisture barrier. In contrast, spot controlling facial wash products, like Neutrogena's Rapid Clear Stubborn Acne Cleanser, contain ingredients like salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide to target and treat acne breakouts, reducing the appearance of blemishes and preventing future flare-ups. Depending on your skin's needs, both Neutrogena face cleansers and spot controlling facial wash products offer effective solutions for maintaining clear, healthy-looking skin.

What are your go-to acne products? 10% Benzoyl Peroxide face wash does wonders for my face, keeping most acne at bay. I have moderate-severe acne, which means stronger medication than salicylic acid. I usually use Clean and Clear's but it was sold out at my local Walgreens so I had to settle for their version, which works just as well and is slightly cheaper! Neutrogena's Rapid Clear spot gel with Benzoyl Peroxide is perfect for those stubborn acne that won't go away with the face wash itself, but I wouldn't recommend it for those with sensitive skin or light acne. I've read reviews from users who claim it irritates their skin causing redness, swelling, and peeling; that's not the case with me but I suggest speaking to your dermatologist before using any new products #neutrogena #neutrogenarapidclearacnespotgel #neutrogenarapidclearspotgel #neutrogenarapidclear #walgreensskincare #walgreensacnecontrolcleanser #walgreensfindoftheday #walgreensdeal #walgreensshopper #walgreensface #acneproneskincare #acneproblemsolution #acnetreatment #acnecleanser #benzoylperoxide #10benzoyl #benzoylperoxidewash #benzoylperoxide10 #benzoylperoxidefacewash #benzoylperoxidefaceclenser #skincaregrammer #skincaregram #acnegram #guyanesegrammer #asianskincare #asianskincareroutine #desigram #desigrammer #southasianskincareconcerns #southasianskincare https://www.instagram.com/p/Cf99DPirjbS/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
