Journal 2

Dear journal,

I met quite a few interesting characters yesterday.

The first two were when I was following that strange feeling I’d had. I had just happened upon a campfire and was taking a moment to rest when I saw strange being- a bear, made of fire. As I was trying to hide, my shell scraped a tree and alerted the being. Not only that, but a small rabbit hybrid snuck up behind me.

Honestly, I don’t know how all that happened. I must have been really out of it.

Anyhow, the bear turned into a humanoid figure. We held a bit of a conversation before I went back home.

The rabbit seemed nice, but I’m not sure what she was doing out by the campfire and I didn’t get to make that much of a profile on her, as she left pretty quickly.

The bear introduced herself as a pilgrim, saying she was as the campfire as someone gave her a map and told her to follow it. I thought her to be a bit naive for following at first, but she quickly gave me the impression to be more than she seems. We left on friendly terms.

The third and perhaps most notable character I met on the way home. She seemed confused and somewhat injured, so I approached and asked if she was alright. She answered in what might be piglin, so I’m assuming she’s some sort of netherkin. She understood enderian, thank void, so we were able to communicate like that.

I offered her a room in Purpsia and she gave me a gold bracelet in thanks, I’ll be sure to treasure it greatly.

The netherkin is quite naive, she trusts far too easily and takes everything at face value. I told her to be careful with who she trusts, so hopefully she’ll be more careful in the future. It’s terrible for innocence of that level to be lost, but better learn in here than out there.

Currently, she’s in the inn and Sammy’s chewing on my shoulder as I write this. I should be getting ready for the day, I need to check on how the beets are coming along.

A report to the piglins

I’ve been exploring the overworld for a little bit now. I’ve burrowed some books from a kingdom called purpsia to learn the language. There are weird substances here that hurt to touch, and strange creatures that are neither human nor Netherkin. If we want to rebuild Crimera, we should extend some of our services to these dwellers. The things here are unlike anything I’ve ever seen before.

Hello. Thought I'd just make this post here. I'm going to be using this Tumblr to begin uploading my progress on the webnovel I am currently working on alongside my assistant Tomotin [she/her]✨ The name of the web novel will be Venturebound : Dissension. It is within the heroic fantasy genre and it is heavily LGBTQIA+ and queer romance orientated, although expect a lot of fantasy elements, lore and worldbuilding as well. I will be uploading this to Tapas as soon as I finish it, and also to my Tumblr here.

Just to introduce myself, you can call me Emrys (or you can call me Grim or Necromancy as my username) and I go by he/they/xe pronouns. I'm a non-binary transmasc freelance artist and kinda composer(?) and writer.

I've been working on this webnovel idea for so many years, and then when Tomotin started working on it with me, it suddenly became so much bigger. I only gained the confidence to really start doing much with it recently. I think I've gotten to a point where I'm rather confident in my skills as a creative and I just want to work on this passion project all I can. The story is really close to my heart and I've spent many hours thinking and agonising over the details of the world and I can't wait to start sharing it with anyone else who may be interested in it.

Here is some concept character art below that I've completed. There are two protagonists in the story, which is Ruben [he/him] (the elf with the black hair) and Audun [he/him] (the taller man in leather armour and devil horns). Ruben is part dark elf, grey elf and blood elf. Audun is a Netherkin who is part Jotun, which is why he has wolf ears, a tail and he is so tall (he is 6'9"). The blue haired elf is named Fotios [they/them/any pronouns] and they are a mana elf scholar. The white long-haired elf is named Sharian [he/they] and they are a half high-elf, wood-elf alchemist professor. The green haired elf is named Xennarit [xe/they] and they are half grey elf, half Kuukai (moon elf). The brown haired elf is named Delwyn [he/him] and he is half wood elf, half humae. I will post their character profiles later so you can learn even more about them.

Since I also compose some music in my free time, I've added one below that I have made, which I created as what I imagine the main battle theme of the story to be.

I'm so excited to start posting here any updates. I'm working on it like mad, but I hope to have most of it completed by the Summer at least after my university has ended for the year. So I can hopefully start uploading each chapter.
