[ megumi fushiguro - tatami mat ]
megumi would be considered a rare cat, for sure. he is aloof and fiercely independent; and more often than not, he keeps to himself. being much more of an active cat during the late hours of the night, it was a surprise that you managed to catch him on your balcony on a moonless night.
you had spent the day studying for your exams, your work lasting well into the late hours of the night. you thought about continuing your studies, but the sudden ache felt against your head and the way your stomach was growling, practically begging for some sustenance was what ultimately makes you stop.
as you prepared some instant ramen, a quick and easy meal to satisfy your hunger pangs, your ears detect the faint sound of a low mrow. you look toward the sound and let out a gasp, seeing a gorgeous, black cat grooming itself on your tatami mat settled outside on your balcony.
during the mornings when you were able to relax without having to worry about work or your university life, you liked to brew some coffee or tea while sitting on your tatami mat to enjoy the cityscape, so you were pleasantly surprised to see a cat enjoying that same mat.
feeling intrigued by the cat, you shut off the tea kettle and placed your bowl of instant ramen off to the side. not wishing to scare off the cat, you searched through your cupboards to give to him as a treat and settled on giving him the wrapped chicken sausage.
you tiptoe towards your balcony, and the cat ends up hearing your incoming footsteps. he stands in a defensive stance, claws ready to rip through the tatami mat as it's startling, green eyes met with your gaze.
you slide open the glass door and gently coo at him. "it's okay you pretty thing. it's alright, i'm just here to give you a treat."
your movements were slow, and you carefully watch as the cat's fur steadily lost its bristling quality. wanting to get a closer look at him, you kneel down to his height, still keeping your eyes on him as you unwrap the chicken sausage and held it out for him to take.
"it's alright, here, why don't you have some?"
the black cat takes tentative steps forward, sniffing at the sausage before biting down on it. a pleased purr was heard coming from him, and you giggled each time he ate the sausage while seeming to vibrate with delight.
within minutes, the cat finishes off the sausage, purring loudly now when he gets off your mat and closer to you. his claws were retracted, and you giggled when he climbs on top of your lap, curling his body against you all while purring.
"you're such a sweet thing..." you continue to admire the gorgeous cat, somehow knowing that he would be yours from now on.
[ yuji itadori - strawberries ]
yuji is going to be the most common cat you will ever see! he is not shy, and each time you offered any snacks to him, he will happily devour it! although his favorite seems to be the fresh strawberries that you share with him. it's just a shame that your family won't let you keep a cat within the house...
you were simply in bed, scrolling through your phone when the sounds of a familiar scratch was heard outside of your windowsill.
with a wide grin on your face, you swing your legs out of bed and toss your phone against your pillow. trying to hold back your giggles, you open the window to let in the cat with cinnamon colored fur.
he greets you with a purr, allowing his face to rub against your arm when he jumps down against the hardwood flooring of your room. with brown eyes shining brightly, your silly cat lands on his back while squirming around, showing its belly to you.
"oh, you know i could never resist you!" falling down to your knees for him, you give him the much needed belly rubs you were certain he was craving for. while basking in his gentle meows, you scratch at the bottom of his chin, spending a few more minutes spoiling your favorite cat with your soft and eager pats.
"ah, i almost forgot! i brought your favorite snack!" you move away from your cat momentarily, earning a displeased mrow from him. you hear him huff, sitting on all fours with his ears twitching slightly. with an eagerness, you grabbed the bowl of fresh strawberries off of your desk, placing it on the floor as you held one of the juicy berries for him to take. "alright buddy, remember to eat this in moderation. go on, have some."
letting out a happy meow, your cat steps forward and munches on the strawberry, its teeth biting into the juicy berry all while purring. he ends up devouring the fruit within mere seconds, making you laugh upon seeing his mouth dyed in red.
"you are so cute!" you gush at him, already picking up the precious cat while settling him in your arms. as you were stroking its fur, a knock was heard at your door, revealing your father.
you freeze upon seeing him, feeling anxious at the thought of being punished by him. your parents had told you that keeping pets were a big no-
but you felt hopeful upon seeing your father's gentle expression.
"i'm sorry for coming in so suddenly, but... your laughter was heard throughout the house, and i had to check on you."
you remain silent, allowing your father to come into the room and settle down beside you. he smiles down at the cat, chuckling as it gave him a head tilt of curiosity.
reaching out a hand to pet the cat, your father sighs. "does this cat truly make you this happy?"
you eagerly give him a nod in response. "yes! yuji means the world to me!"
your father sighs while ruffling at your hair. "so you already named him?" he asks while trailing his eyes towards the bowl of strawberries, "well, i guess it's too late to get rid of him now. my mother always told me that once you feed a cat and name them, they're practically yours for life."
you watch him with wide eyes, still holding on to your yuji when you shakily ask him. "c-can i keep him?"
he faces you and gives you a wink, "i'll let your mom know that you'll take care of him." with those final words, he leaves you alone with yuji, basking in the sounds of your happy laughter.
[ yuta okkotsu - a comforting blanket ]
like yuji, yuta would not be much of a rare cat. he's a soft kitty that craves for love and affections. it doesn't take much to satisfy him, and he would make the perfect house pet for anyone that's willing to give him a chance...
you came home from a late shift at work, feeling the exhaustion seeping into your bones as you called out.
"yuta, i'm home!"
you frown when you couldn't hear the sounds of his eager meowing. usually, yuta would greet you with eagerness, grey eyes looking at your with adoration while he rubbed his tabby fur against your legs.
"yuta? yuta!" you end up searching your apartment in a bit of a panic, not stopping as you acted like a madman searching for your pet. you left not a single nook or cranny untouched, even forcing yourself to fall down to your knees to see if he was hiding beneath your couch.
by the end of it all, you were left a bit of a sweating mess, finally going into your room as you called out to him once more.
"yuta! yu-" you finally trail off, looking at your bed as something suspiciously round was seen buried beneath your blanket. a sense of relief was felt coursing through you the moment you land in bed with an audible oomf!
this catches yuta's attention as you could see his form shifting from beneath the blankets before popping his head out to meet with your tired gaze.
mrow?
"you silly booger, don't scare me like that...!" you reach out a hand to scratch at his ears, earning a purr from him.
as if knowing that you were exhausted, yuta comes closer and cuddles you, rubbing his head against your chest before laying next to you. with a happy sigh, you wrap your arms around who had to be the best cat in the entire world.
[ choso - bandages and canned tuna ]
choso would be a rare cat, mainly due to his shy nature and tendency to keep to himself. maybe it's because of how unsettling his eyes appear, but the other cats seem to feel scared around him, often attacking choso for no reason at all than out of self defense.
it was a rainy day when you decided to head out into the convenience store to buy something to eat. you held an umbrella and bag of your favorite foods comfortably within your hands, humming a gentle tune while making your way home.
what you weren't expecting was to see a cat with deep, ebony fur injured at the side of the road. letting out a gasp, you quickly got down on your knees to assess the cat. it was frail, with its body trembling while struggling to take deep breaths. on its side, you saw what looked like deep claw marks that was already oozing with blood.
"oh, you poor thing." the cat hears you, opening its eyes to reveal a startling, violet gaze. mustering all the strength it had, you felt it give your fingertips a gentle lick in response while letting out a weak and meager meow.
"come on, i'm taking you home with me."
not caring about the rain and how the cat's wet fur was staining your clothes, you hang on to the cat tightly while jogging you way back to your apartment.
tossing your umbrella off to the side, you unlock and enter your apartment with the injured cat still in your arms. as you settled him on the linoleum floors of your kitchen, you realized that it was a male cat and decided to help heal him.
for starters, you gently cleaned the claw marks settled on the side of his abdomen, feeling your heart break at the painful meows he was giving you.
"i know i know, it hurts but it's gonna be okay." you coo at the cat with the vivid, violet eyes, grateful that the cut wasn't too deep while carefully bandaging him. with his wound covered, you immediately grabbed two small bowls from your cabinet, filling one of them up with water as you set it in front of the cat.
you watch as his cute little snout sniffs at the bowl, slowly crawling forward before finally taking rapid drinks from it. the sight of the cute cat drinking with such fervor made your heart ache, wondering if no one had ever taken care of him before.
as he was busy drinking, you reach into your bag to pull out a can of tuna. you thought about making a light sandwich, but figured that your cat needed this more than you did. as you popped open the can, you scooped out half of its contents into a bowl before kneeling down once more, offering the morsel to him.
as if smelling the delicious tuna, your cat moves away from the bowl of water and steps closer to the tuna, making you laugh when he seemed to prance towards the bowl.
letting out an eager mrow, you watch as your cat dives into the tuna, letting out purrs whilst he ate, knowing that he felt more than a little content now.
with a smile, you continue watching the cat enjoy his meal, giving him gentle pets while musing to yourself. "i guess it's just you and me now... i wonder what i should name you."
your mind races with a plethora of names, not stopping until a rather unique one falls from your parted lips. "how about choso?"
the moment those syllables were uttered, your cat stops eating, meeting your gaze with a tilt of his head. you smile and coo at him, "do you like that name? choso? my little choso?"
choso ends up letting out a loud and drawn out mroowww in response, completely ignoring his food to come closer and cuddle next to you. with a giggle, you continue to stroke at his deep ebony fur, kissing at his forehead for good measure just to make sure he knew how much you loved him.
a.n. - i got into this super cute game called neko atsume, and i cannot stop 😭😭 playing it made me think of how our jjk boys would be as cats, so it's very silly! i hope you readers enjoy this anyways 🥹

Review d’un restaurant à Paris : Neko Ramen Green
J’ai décidé que je donnerais mon avis sur des restos ici, parce que je n’ai pas d’autre plateforme agréable à utiliser, et j’ai notemment la turbo flemme de monter un tiktok juste pour ça.
Après l’avoir vu dans un tiktok, je me suis dit qu’il fallait que je le tente avec ma femme, et donc jeudi on y est allées.
On est arrivées vers 13h-13h30 et il y avait toujours pas mal de monde, mais c’était pas bondé non plus. On arrive, on nous trouve une table pour 2 personnes, on est installées, aussi vite que ça.
Pour ma part j’ai testé le Vegan curry, qui est l’un des plats les plus chers, à 13€50 (ce qui est franchement acceptable) et pour ma femme c’était un ramen tonkatsu à 12€50, puis chacune une boisson, pour 3€50 et 4€ respectivement.
On n’a pas pris d’entrée, mais perso le poulet frit me tentait bien (mais 6€ ça me paraissait un petit peu cher, alors on s’en est passées)
L’attente était pas trop longue (peut être 10-15 minutes ? j’ai pas mesuré), pas le temps de s’ennuyer, ça c’est cool. Une fois les plats arrivés, ça sent extrêmement bon. On sentait déjà cette odeur à notre entrée dans le restaurant, mais là c’est directement sous notre nez.
Après avoir pris une bouchée de riz, saupoudrée de leur poudre épicée, présente sur la table au lieu de sel et poivre (que je soupçonne être un mix trouvable à l’exactitude en magasin, mélange de piments, algues séchées et sésame noir et blanc) et un peu de sauce soja (salée) j’avais presque envie de pleurer tellement c’était bon. Parfaitement relevé avec la poudre (facultative donc) ça vous conviendra même si vous n’aimez pas le piment. La sauce du curry était délicieuse, les frites de lotus sont excellente, le tofu a une texture incroyable, et le tout est vraiment, VRAIMENT délicieux. J’ai dévoré tout ça, très triste de ne pas en avoir plus.
Pour les ramens, je saurais pas donner mon avis. Le suppose que c’était un très bon tonkatsu mais je suis pas fan de porc de base donc tant pis. les nouilles étaient bonnes quand même, et l’oeuf mollé mariné était également très bon.
Après avoir fini nos plats, on peut passer au dessert, et ce qui m’intéresse particulièrement c’est le tiramisu au matcha. j’adore le tiramisu, ma femme adore le matcha, donc on commande. Et c’est un régal. Contrairement aux tiramisus que vous allez avoir dans un restau italien, il n’y a pas l’amertume de l’amareto au café, à la place c’était délicieux, doux, et même moi qui ne suis pas une grande fan de matcha, j’ai pu passer outre ce gout pour apprécier ce met délicat avec ses éclats de caramel au beurre salé. Bref je recommande presque de venir juste pour ça.
Je suis pas très forte pour donner des notes, généralement c’est tout ou rien, alors voilà mon avis : 5/5 trop envie d’y retourner je le recommande à tout le monde. Mon conseil ce serait d’y aller vers 14h, quand ça se vide un peu, si vous êtes fan de calme.

[2] Calls - since it’s cabaret club, essentially you can choose which hostess you want to accompany you drinking. So that means Anne gets called for by the customers the most times.
[3] Danna. There are a lot of ways to translate this, one of them being ‘master’ or ‘boss’ - the nuance is almost like ‘bro’, but more respectful. Since both ‘(gang) boss’ and ‘(bar) master’ has been used, to avoid confusion I opted for danna in italics.
[4] Monkey, pheasant, and dog are Momotarou’s companion in the folklore Momotarou. Google it up!
[5] Kibi-dango is the food Momotarou gave to the three animals that accompany him.
[6] Kuu-chan. I’m pretty sure this nickname comes from how Ryuu calls Masaki a ‘pheasant’, since birds cry ‘coo, coo’.
[7] Part-time schedule or teiji-sei is a school schedule that started in the evening for people who wants to get a high school diploma but has to work in the day for a living. Full-time, vice versa, is the usual schedule (school starts in the morning and ends in the evening).
[8] I don’t know if it shows in this translation, but in the flashback Iori speaks in a normal, unaccented way. So yes, he’s one million times cooler (in my opinion!).
[9] Tower, as in champagne tower. It’s likely the most expensive thing you can order in a club.
[10] Merry, or gokigen, is also Iori’s catchphrase in the current timeline of the series.
[*] Mob names. ‘Mob-AT’ is the guy from Alter Trigger. I don’t know where the other mobs are from unless specified.

MY TRAVEL BLOG
1. A visit to Himeji Castle, Hyogo, Japan

Once we visited Hyogo in Japan, the first thing we came to see was Himeji Castle. Even though I've seen it in photos and on TV, it's still a huge and majestic castle in front of me. We came here during cherry blossom season, so the scent of flowers combined with the cool breeze made me feel manic and wonderful. My feelings were authentic when entering the castle. After seeing the roughly 700-year-old architecture with my own eyes, I was impressed by the people's brilliance at the time. I could see the city from above as I got to the top floor. From above, the whole city looks smaller, and I could see all the movement going on right now.
2. Restaurant in Himeji, Hyogo, Japan

After we came back to the hotel to rest, we chose a restaurant with a view of the castle in the evening. The meal is excellent and has a traditional Japanese flavor. Soft music and quiet conversation created a relaxing atmosphere. We ate ramen, sushi, and mille-feuille. Until now, I still can’t forget that taste. The freshness blends with the pungent taste of sushi, then combines with the savory taste of the noodles. Finally, we enjoy the cake with its pure sweetness. It's a fantastic combination. I could see the castle gleaming with lights as I peered out the window. It's amazingly beautiful and shiny
3. Otemae Street

As I walked down the street, I saw that it was a busy and wealthy street. It has a fantastic, light-filled view. There are plenty of green trees and cherry blossoms along the roadway. Lots of people visited this location for shopping, sightseeing and walking. We also went for a walk and enjoyed the street food. I purchased a lot of things on Otemae Street such as Maneki Neko, mochi cake and a food model. At night, the lights around the road and train station are pretty to look at, but the views of the castle are the main highlight.

FF15 Relaxing with the Older Bros | Headcanons
It was suppose to be a fluff post for Prompto but I forgot what I had planned for the Sunshine Birb. (I didn’t write it down and went to work. . .) So I came up with something else and then I decided to elaborate for the other three as well.
Just imagine a day off with them after the sun has come back, Noctis makes it through, rebuilding the lands. Everyone is working hard and Bro and their s/o finally get a day off to enjoy themselves, alone together.

Noctis: He’s grown up quite a bit now, that long nap did him a lot of good. (looks....dayum) Noctis is a bit more responsible he has a kingdom to take care of after all now and the Astrals spared him the horrible fate. The two of you are often busy with state of affairs so the time when the two of you have a whole day off you end up thanking your lucky stars (or Ignis) for a breath of fresh air. If Noctis wants to be alone he goes out fishing but he finds that he rather use a half day to fish and spend that full day off with you. Oddly enough he cooks, reverting to that time he worked in a kitchen during school. It is a day of sleeping in late, Noctis dragging himself out of bed kissing your forehead sweetly as he makes coffee and starts making breakfast. It’s nothing grand some pancakes, eggs (they were suppose to be over easy but broke and ended up scrambled) to bring to bed for breakfast in bed. The most of the morning is spent snuggling together feeding each other random chats about nonsense. Once it’s afternoon the two of you roll out of bed lazy, sensual shower sex and some lunch. The two of you don’t leave the house, in your little home you guys can just be a plain Y/N and Noctis. Both of you cook lunch together Noctis coming up with some foolish story about his time in the restaurant business to make you giggle, as you make sandwiches. Movie marathon for the rest of the afternoon, curling up on the couch arms and legs tangled up watching movies. There isn’t much talking going on during the movies a random comment about something but beyond that it’s just enjoying each others company and glad that the both of you are alive. When be becomes bed time Noctis will grumble about wishing he could control time so it could last a bit longer, not wanting to go back to work tomorrow.
Prompto: Working as a professional photographer full time, covering all the major events Noctis partakes in as well makes Prompto a busy man. So when the two of you get time to spend a whole day Prompto gets a bit excited and the day (or maybe a few days before) he’s all talking about it to EVERYONE. “BABE AND I ARE GOING TO HAVE SO MUCH FUN, WE ARE GOING TO DO THIS AND THAT!” Well. . .it ends up you two sleep in LATE, tangled up next to each other, wrapped up in the blankets and drooling on each other. Drowsily the two of you wake up slinking out of bed, Prompto still wants to do all the things that is planned but not much time. So you guys pick the most important things which ends up being ordering take out, playing video games and sorting through his personal photos. It’s a calm day curled up in his lap, leaning back against his chest and sorting through his digital storage disk for photos while he plays video games, his chin resting on the top of your head. Teasing him a little for his choice in light for a few photos, with him starting to tickle you and ends up in playful sex. The two of you go out to enjoy the afternoon weather, soaking up some rays as Prompto takes some candid photos of you and a few selfies with the two of you. Playing tag in the park, petting all the dogs, playing in the water fountain after Prompto trips and falls in. You two end up hitting up a late night food stand getting dinner heading back home coming to the realization that tomorrow is coming soon and your day of fun is over.
Gladiolus: As the King’s Shield his free time is rare so when he does get a day off Gladiolus just wants to spend it with you and no one else. He will spend half days with other friends specially if you are busy with your work. A full day? That’s just for you. He’ll wake up early to worship your body to work up a appetite he’ll tease you saying he’s had breakfast after eating you out. Gladiolus will help make breakfast, mainly in charge of cooking eggs and meats while you do the rest of it. (Don’t let him make you a protein smoothie, it’s gross and green.) Many jokes will take place while making breakfast, some revolving on how is Noctis fairing without him watching his back. Gladiolus keeps his phone nearby just in case of emergencies it’s something that he can’t not have near him, Noctis is King and a target more so than ever. Gladiolus is proud to say that you are accepting of it and love him ever still. If the weather is right for it the two of you spend the morning lounging by the pool, sunning and swimming enjoying the day. Music playing from the living room as the two of you enjoy playing Marco Polo together. You two surface from the water long enough to get out for lunch, there is a local ramen shop not too far from home that you both frequent. Picking up stuff for dinner, in the grocery store Gladiolus pushing the cart with you squished between him and the cart as he rests his chin on the top of your head as he picks out the items you call out. Back at home the two of you spend the afternoon grilling and enjoying the pool some more while drinking. So sexy good times in the pool after dinner has the two of you tired out for the night, realizing that tomorrow is back to work.
Ignis: His days off are rare and it takes a lot for him to turn off his brain from work mode to relax mode. Ignis values relaxation but he still is always alert to the needs of Noctis, it’s ingrained into his very soul. The day starts off with you relaxing him making him breakfast making him a cup of coffee just the way he likes it. You might have to turn off his phone. After that and a few reassurances that Noctis is okay Ignis settles in to the day off, he admits to thinking about it for several days now but didn’t want to voice anything feared that it would jinx him if he did. He’s taken up to gardening since the dawn, liking the idea of having his own vegetables for cooking the two of you tend to the garden together. Taking a break under a weeping willow the two of you cuddle up together talking some stories about the past and thoughts about the future. You will describe the garden in full to Ignis, he finds it really relaxing to hear your voice and the way you lovingly describe the garden makes him at peace. The both of you both have funny little jokes with all the plants, that have the two of you chuckling for quite a bit his puns just slay you. For dinner the two of you end up cooking together then ends up in a bit of a fun sex time between the two of you. Most of dinner left half eaten in your carnal desires for each other, needing both of your touches desperately. After some teasing of each other cleaning up the remainders the both of you realizing that the relaxing day is now over with that work is due tomorrow.

Wizard’s Naruto Headcannons
I’ve shared a couple of these with other people, but anyways, here’s several of my personal Headcannons for the Naruto Series that I either haven’t seen someone use yet or is barely used at all. Tokyo, Japan
I am not sure why, but I had always been drawn to Japan. I originally went on a group tour around part of the country. Initially, I had the philosophy of only going somewhere once, unless I had already finished seeing all that I needed from the world. So far, this is the only place that I made that exception.
My first tour here ended in Tokyo, but I had only spent half a day here and had to leave first thing in the morning back home. Our hotel (Prince Park Tower Hotel or Tokyo Prince Hotel…I couldn’t remember the exact name) was near Tokyo Tower. We were not able to see as much as we wanted in that short period of time.
We booked this trip for a few reasons: It was my husband’s and my fifth anniversary together, and it was a collective birthday present for us (as we both have birthdays in April). Plus, my brother had always wanted to go during cherry blossom season.
Saturday, April 7, 2018 – Arrival
We arrived at Narita Airport on a VERY windy day (as in “first-time-getting-motion-sick-on-a-plane-type-of-windy.”) Clearing immigration and getting our bags didn’t take a lot of time. However, we were planning to get our Tokyo Rail passes at the visitors’ center, and by the time we finished with customs, the desk was closed (missed by 5 minutes, at 8:50pm). It was evening, we were tired, and I didn’t feel like figuring out the rail ticket machine. Besides, the last time I was here, the ride from the hotel to Narita wasn’t that much.
Boy was I wrong!
The charge for the taxi ride from Narita to Ginza, Tokyo, was upwards of $250!!!
Later, I was reminded that we had a shuttle from the hotel that we were at to Narita (oops).
Moral of the story here: Learn from my mistakes and do your research on transportation options before arrival.
Now that we have taken care of our PSA moment, on to the rest of the story!
We arrive at our hotel, Mitsui Garden Hotel Shiodome Italia-gai (2-14-24, Higashi-shimbashi, Minato-ku, Tokyo, 105-0021). It is minutes away from Ginza, Tokyo Tower, Zojo-ji Shrine and the Imperial Gardens. They also provided a free loaner smartphone that guests could use to make and receive calls, as well as for email, GPS and social media services. I mostly used it for GPS to navigate through the city.
We were also next door to a Lawson Station, one of the popular convenience stores – along with 7-Eleven – in the country. What was different about these convenience stores is that they carried more variety of foods, including hot food. It has been the locals’ favorite for fresh, convenient food. They are open 24 hours a day, which helps if a worker has an early 4am start or if they are just getting off of work at 10pm. Also, just like back here, there is one Lawsons’ or 7-Eleven on every other block (at least in Tokyo).
7-Eleven has their own set of ATMs, which I found to be the only ATM that worked for my Chase Card. The only downside is that the minimum amount available for withdrawal is 10,000 JPY (about 100 USD). This is important because not every place accepts credit cards. There are a good number of stores and restaurants that take cash only. This leads to PRO-tip #2: Bring cash.
Sunday, April 8, 2018: Tokyo Station, Sensoji Temple, Akihabara
So, our first stop was to acquire our rail passes (for clarity, the passes for me and my husband – my brother arrived earlier and received his already). Plus, it gave me an opportunity to test run the loaner phone from the hotel.

Once we had reached Tokyo Station, we were able to get our Rail Passes (yay!) The station has a number of restaurants in the lower level. Ramen Street is a stretch of restaurants in the basement level. Some will be traditional restaurants where they seat you and serve you. Others had a vending machine where you would put in the money, make a selection of what you want to eat and then it would print out the receipt for you to give your server or the cook. One such place was Rokurinsha on Ramen Street.

Once we were fed, we continued on our trek. We started at Sensoji Temple (2 Chome-3-1 Asakusa, Taitō, Tokyo 111-0032, Japan). It was pretty crowded for a Sunday. It was a beautiful day though.

We then hopped on the rail to Ueno and onto Ueno Onshi Park. We were on a mission to find cherry blossoms. I had heard that they had already bloomed, but there were some late bloomers around still. We were lucky to find some there!

We also wanted to look for a cat café. According to the GPS, there was one nearby: Neko Maru Café Ueno (7 Chome Ueno, Taitō, Tokyo 110-0005, Japan). There was a fee schedule, but the one we chose was 30 minutes for $6 USD. They had coffee and tea, as well as some snacks. They also had a few bookcases so you could sit and read while surrounded by the cats. If you want, they also had kitty toys to engage with the cats/kittens in house.

Monday, April 8, 2018: Mt Fuji
We went on a day tour through JAPANiCAN. Our first stop was the Mt Fuji 5th Station.
Unfortunately, we didn’t have as clear a view as we had hoped. It was also 1 degree below Centigrade when we were there, so just a little cold!

Next stop was at Oshino Hakkai. The snowmelt from Mt. Fuji formed several fresh water springs in the area. It’s also a cute little village where we were able to get another view of Mt. Fuji. The sun had come out and some of the clouds were starting to clear.

Our next stop was Shiraito Falls. The falls are fed by the snowmelt from Mt. Fuji also. There were also a number of shops in the area, including soft serve ice cream.

On our way back, our tour guide informed us that Mt. Fuji can be clearly seen 60 to 65 days out of the year (so we were lucky!)
For dinner, we stopped by one of the restaurants nearby our hotel – Akami Yakiniku Horumondokoro Nikuman. (1-23-6 Hamamatsucho, Minato 105-0013, Tokyo Prefecture).
We were seated at the bar. Each table/seat had a mini grill and a vent right above it. We decided to share the Tonya place.
Since the meat is thinly sliced, it was cooked quickly.
With full stomachs after a full day, sleep came easy.
Tuesday, April 10, 2018: Tsukiji Fish Market, Namiyoke Inari Shrine, Hachiko Memorial Statue, Shibuya Crossing, Meiji Shrine, Ginza
Tsukiji Fish Market is a famous market located in Central Tokyo. It is the largest wholesale fish and seafood market in the world. As part of development for the upcoming Olympics in Tokyo 2020, the fish market is slated to be moved Toyosu, Kotu in the Fall of 2018. If you can get there anywhere from 3am to 5am, you can observe the tuna auction (we opted not to do that). If you do decide to go, it is highly recommended to wear rubber boots.
There is two parts of the market – the Inner Market, where wholesale vendors are located, and the Outer Market where people like us can purchase items in more manageable numbers.

We wanted to find one, if not two places to eat. So our first place was here (apologies, I’m not sure what it translates in English).
I felt like we were lucky because it wasn’t so crowded here, nor was there a line for us to wait in. As far as the food goes, I had once heard that “Fish should taste like the sea, and if it doesn’t, then it is no longer good.” The fish that we had here tasted exactly like the sea and I was extremely happy.

After our sushi brunch, we continued walking through the market. Where a variety of items were up for sale as you can see here:

Apparently people lined up since opening to eat at these places.
After a few hours of walking and shopping, we decided to try another sushi place. This was located just outside the market, called Iwasa Sushi (6 Chome-27-3 Tsukiji, Chūō, Tokyo 104-0045, Japan). Incidentally it was highly rated on tripadvisor.com, so we wanted to see if it lived up to the hype. They have a set menu, and you basically choose between three or four different sets of sushi combinations. They only have seats at the sushi bar and they only accept cash.

When we were done, I made a quick stop at Namiyoke Inari Shrine. Its name literally means “protection from waves.”
After that, we dropped off our purchases at the hotel and headed towards Shibuya.
Our first stop outside the Shibuya Station was the Hachiko Memorial. Hachiko was an Akita dog that was owned by Professor Ueno Hidesaburo from Tokyo Imperial University. Hachiko would meet Professor Ueno at Shibuya Station at the end of the day, and it became their routine. One day, Professor Ueno had a cerebral hemorrhage at the University, and never came home. However, Hachiko would go to the station every day for almost ten years. This statue is a symbol of the loyalty and love that Hachiko had for Ueno. Fun fact: Hachiko was present when the statue was unveiled.
There was a LONG line for taking pictures with the statue, so I improvised. The important thing was that I was there.
Now, there is a famous intersection near this statue that maybe the busiest intersection in the world: Shibuya Crossing. The lights turn red/green at the same time to control the pedestrian traffic. Even though there are crosswalks, when the light turns green, the intersection gets swarmed by people.

So far, the only critique that I had was that they used powdered wasabi (what can I say, I was spoiled from the fresh wasabi from earlier today). However, the taste made up for it. I would have to say that the first place we ate at today and Itamae Sushi were the better of the three places we ate today.
Wednesday, April 11, 2018: Zojo-ji Shrine, Tokyo Tower, Departure
We had a half day left here in Tokyo. I decided to do a quick stop at Zojo-ji Shrine and Tokyo Tower before we left. There is also a mausoleum where the most loyal samurai are buried as well.
If Zojo-ji Shrine looks familiar, its because it was in the movie “Wolverine” (2013)
And Here I Have Come Full Circle!
In case you were wondering what I was doing at all those shrines, it was because of this: my notebook filled with Goshuin, which are unique stamps/seals and calligraphy from the temples that I had visited. I had been introduced to this during my first visit here and acquired quite a collection!
