【お線香作りワークショップに参加してきました】 . . . 先日3/8（水）の夜に開催された『素材を味わうお線香作り／五味で表現する和の香り』　http://www.machitera.net/project/nature_culture/incense-stick/　 . . . -春- 春の足音がする今回、香り作りでもよく使われる薬草に注目しパチュリや排草香、サクラソウ科の零陵香を使った春の桜舞う様なイメージのふんわりした香りをお作りいただきます。 . . . 講師（香司）の方 は3.11東日本大震災をきっかけに働き方を考え直し、人々に求められる仕事を、と考えた末、「お香は癒し、お線香は供養」供養は亡くなられた方へ向けているけれども、残された人の気持ちを癒すものでもある。震災で生き残った人々への足りないものを補うためにたどり着いたのが香司の仕事だったという丸山 @mek.jirra さん。 . . . 【お線香は故人への香りのご馳走】 お香は、釈迦が亡くなった時に弟子たちが釈迦が好きだった白檀の香りを焚いたことが始まり。仏教の世界では御線香を焚くことを『香食』と言い、つまりは線香その物ではなく香りを仏様が召し上がられるものとされています。 . . . 亡くなられたあとに四十九日旅をする死者の体は、人の目に見えない程とても小さく、香をその旅路の食料とされるのだそうです。今はお葬式に御香典を持って行くのも、お香の代りにお金を持って来ました、と言う意味だとか。 . . . 御線香は故人への贈り物。料理を作るように、故人のために線香を作る。何を選んだらいいかと聞かれれば、亡くなった方が好きだった香りや食べ物の好みに合わせて選ぶのがいいそうです。ゴロゴロ素材が入ったカレーのように、故人の好みを思いっきり取り入れた香りを手作りするというのも、既製品では味わえない、手作りならではの良さですよね。ちなみにmek&jirra さんではユニークなお酒とか甘味の御線香も作られてます。 . . . それを知ったら、季節にあわせた天然素材で作ったほうがなによりおいしそうだし、自分も故人もきっとそのほうが喜んでくれるはずだなーと思ったので今回のワークショップに参加しました。 . . . ナチュラルなもので作れば、こころにもからだにも優しい。これがまた大事で、私は体が弱いので、化学香料を焚くと、すぐに目がチカチカしたり、ノドがいがらっぽくなるのです。天然素材100%のお香ってなんや優しいんだろうとしみじみ思いました。 . . . . 『香の十徳』(香を焚くことで得られること) 1.　感格鬼神　感覚を研ぎ澄ます 2.　清淨心身　心身を清浄にす 心身を清浄する 3.　能除汚穢　汚れを取り除く 4.　能覺睡眠　眠気を覚ます 5.　静中成友　孤独感を癒す 6.　塵裏偸間　忙しくても心を和ます 7.　多而不厭　たくさんあっても邪魔にならない 8.　寡而為足　少量でも香りを放つ 9.　久蔵不朽　何百年経っても朽ち果てない 10.　常用無障　常用しても害がない . . . つまり、良いことしかない。もっと、暮らしの中に取り入れたいものです。そして、もっとたくさんの人にも取り入れてほしい！ . . . そして、お香の原材料は、実はさまざまな薬効を持つ漢方や薬草の薬材ばかり。漢方や薬膳やアロマと同じように植物ごとに効能や効果が違うわけで、気分が落ち着くものを求めているときがあれば、気持ちがすっきりするものを聞きたい（お香は嗅ぐではなく、聞く=聞き香という）ときもあるし、いまの自分のカラダが求めている香りを作るのはとても楽しい作業でした(^^) . . . まるで粘土遊びみたいで楽しかったし、一緒に参加した友達からは、めちゃくちゃミクちゃそっぽい香りだ！と言われました。笑 乾燥が終わるまであと数日。いまから春の香りを焚くのが楽しみです٩(^‿^)۶
