It also includes an AROC (Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate) and an English Language Proficiency assessment.  The costs also cover all CASA licensing. Light detection and ranging or LiDAR is an established technology which measures distances through pulsed laser technology. We incorporate this technology with our drone hardware for drawing accurate 2D maps and building 3D models to scale. LiDAR has the ability to provide a dense cloud of millions of 3D points per second. Each point combines to create a rich 3D model of the target object or area. Through the use of Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) and GNSS receivers, each measurement or data point can be georeferenced.

3D Modelling

Through our SmartData software, National Drones can assist you in building a three-dimensional model of your site or project. With no angle left undiscovered, we can collect and analyse hundreds of high resolution images to build a dynamic 360 degree vision.

This permits measurements and inspections on facades as well as interactive annotations, volumetric reports and measurements. Each individual point on the model, one of millions, has a GPS location attached to it. This enables the model to be relatively accurate to the real life asset and facilitates the creation of a digital twin. Sites can then be catalogued and referenced to a historical point in time.
