Naboo Scenery
So I did this art thing on Instagram last month, and one of the prompts was Naboo. I decided to play around with watercolor brushes, and Asher much crying and frustration I was finally happy with the end results. Originally I only intended to do scenery, but then felt something more was needed. So I did a little outline of Anakin and Padme when they got married.
A ghost of a memory of two people who loved each other so much and in secret vowed to spend the rest of their lives together even though it was forbidden.
Also, I’m thinking of changing my Tumblr username. Not sure what yet but it’ll definitely still be Star Wars related😁😁

This took me about 8 months to complete (with breaks, because education) and I couldn’t be happier with the results. I don’t think it’s 100% accurate since all the references I looked at were slightly different but I can live with that.
It’s supposed to be a gift but I’m not sure I can part with it now bc I’ve become attached and I’m afraid that the person won’t like it
(The aurebesh or galactic basic depending on what you know it as, says Naboo)

I would love to see a better picture of the N1 model on top of those shelves if I could.
It's the most beautiful ship in the series
And if you don't wanna thats totally fine
Yeah no problem!
I had to dust it off first cause it’s been up on the top of that shelving unit for a hot minute 😅 But I got this, I’m guessing, as some kind of gift from my parents, possible a birthday thing. Cause this model is from the year the movie came out and I would’ve been 7 and had zero income (maybe I had started getting an allowance by then but I don’t remember, and I mainly spent that allowance on either Transformers or used gameboy games at the local Game Crazy). I know I got this around the same time as I got that promotional Battle Droid and STAP figure set, which was the first actual prequel toy released that was released either at the start of 1999, or in 1998 to help hype up the movie (cause like 50% to two thirds of Star Wars profit comes from the toy sales). But yeah. I’ve had this baby for 24/25 years.

STAR WARS EPISODE I: The Phantom Menace 01:51:32 - 01:51:33
Could the unidentified symbols here be "kill marks" based on concept art of the Vulture droid starfighters? (Seen here in concept art by Doug Chiang) Maybe the N-1 was built and painted before the CGI Vulture droid design was finalized?

There are people who say that Clone Wars era starfighters were broadly better than Imperial ones, but in the movies at least, TIE Fighters have a way better K/D ratio than Vulture Droids. Nine TIEs took out 26/30 Rebel fighters over Yavin, while after the Droid Control Ship exploded there were at least half of the ~14 Naboo fighters left despite going up against hundreds of droids.
