Couldn't resist and went ahead and drew fanart for Chapter 7 of Ambrosia (or: How Gale Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb) because it was AMAZING.

I love that dialogue about Phoenix going to Europe to "help an old friend" and I just. I love imagining that it's Phoenix helping Edgeworth with a case or Edgeworth helping Phoenix research the Jurist system.
Fun fact, I followed a Bob Ross episode for the painting in the background because I wanted a really pretty painting in the hotel room.

For a second I thought you were posting a chapter at 4am the way you wrote this post xD
Ahahahaha! Yeah, I PROBABLY wouldn’t post another part at that time of day. But. Who knows. lmao

Apparently Krita (which is free) also has something like this as well, if you want to save a bit of money. Krita has a setup that makes most hotkeys like photoshop if you're used to using photoshop hotkeys so there's a much smaller learning curve if you transfer over to it, plus it has animation capabilities built in as well (which is fun to play with)
I used Krita for a short time with my last computer! I didn’t know it had a stabilizer, though. I couldn’t use my tablet with it then (though that was mostly the computer’s fault). But honestly, I think it’s high time that I got myself a good, professional art program. (Also, omg, you’re still using the Fakir arcanine icon. AMAZING.)

Absolute congratulations!! I'm amazed you were working with the wiggly line handicap! (Like, dude?!) I hope that you enjoy drawing on the computer so much more! (and as someone who uses Krita, I think it's worth a try)
Thank you! And yeah, I was desperate enough that I wanted to be able to do digital art, but sometimes spending 8 hours on lines just trying to make them appear ‘passable’ is enough to really take it all out of you. I had no idea there was a way to get smooth lines so easily. I’m enjoying drawing SO much right now.

The D&D promo was a gift omg Thank you Larian, thank you voice actors, thank you High Rollers.
A short, hilarious Bloodweave moment from part 2.
Bonus doodles that are more spoilery and image description in alt text and longer descrption under the read more as it might be too long if you're looking at it on desktop:
Bonus doodles:
First image description: A five-panel comic of a scene from the High Rollers Baldur's Gate 3 Dungeons and Dragons game part 2. Gale Dekarios, disguised as a teifling, though his face looks the same, for plot reasons, half-shaved for spa reasons, walks briskly next to Astarion, who doesn't recognize him through the disguise and half-shave.
Panel one: Gale is on the left, Astarion on the right. You can see them from the bust up. Astarion says "Ooo~ Who's this?" Gale responds through clenched teeth "Hello." An arrow with the text "Still half-shaved" points to Gale.
Panel 2: Gale is on the left, Astarion is on the right, from further away so you can see both of their whole bodies. They are both walking quickly next to each other. Astarion is staring at Gale's boots, which are embroidered with gold. There is a red dotted line from Astarion's eyes to the boots to make this clear. Gale is overthinking what Astarion's words mean. His text is partially obscured within the thought bubble. His thoughts read:
"Did Astarion just flirt with me?
What the fuck what the fuck how am
I supposed to respond? Does he find this
disguise hot? He winked at me earlier I
thought it was just because he wanted my
boots but now I'm not sure anymore.
Gods he asked me for money is he just using
me as a sugar daddy? I don't know what's
going on anymore. Would I even like
it if he finds me attractive?"
There is an arrow pointing to Gale labeled "Blushing incredibly hard, but no one can tell through the disguise"
There is a speech bubble pointing off-panel, presumably Karlach who is saying "Wait, that sounds like Gale--"
Astarion has a speech bubble which reads "Gale's… Boots…?"
Panel 4: A close up of Astarion still looking down at Gale's boots, lost in thought, looking slightly concerned with a thought bubble of an elipsis.
Panel 5: The same close up of Astarion looking markedly more concerned now with sweat drops on his face and his eyes have moved to being a thousand yard stare. His thought bubble reads "Oh shit. Oh shit." The second "shit" is italicized and underlined for emphasis.
End description of image 1
Bonus image description:
several bonus doodles featuring Gale getting his spa day while Wyll realizes he's about to get arrested for using magic in the city, Astarion lapping up blood like a cat, Astarion being a dork over Drizzt Do'Urden, Gale and Astarion squabbling over Drizzt Do'Urden's panther and sword, and Astarion after said squabble looking reverently and making high-pitched squeaking sounds/fanboying over said items.

Wanted to doodle something casual. Then Gale decided it would be EXCEPTIONALLY hard for me to draw his face today for some reason. (You'll see how many times I restarted his face in the speedpaint.)
Anyway, they're watching Good Omens 2. Gale is tearing up at Aziraphale's Jane Austin inspired Grand Ball and Astarion is commenting on how weirdly familiar that one guy sounds to Gale.
Descriptions in the alt text.
Bonus doodle and speedpaint under the cut
Because I couldn't get this one reaction to Good Omens S2 Episode 6 out of my head that I saw of someone yelling at the screen "NOT LIKE THIS". Also Gale picked up the pillow sometime around when Aziraphale grabbed Crowley's shoulder so he could squee into it. Because that's what I did.

Since we know Gale is The Party Chef™️I wondered what his cooking looked like.
And now, it's time for:
Does Gale go all-out cooking with his own portable kitchen station?
What if he's chill about it/grills like a dad at a cookout?
Maybe he's going crazy in the camp kitchen with magic like cooking things with fireball.
Or, you know, he could just cook the mundane way without any magic at all. But that was too borning to draw tbh.

The Season lives rent free in my head now, so I decided to draw the pinup magazine article Astarion had on his dorm wall from way back when in that fic. I kind of bs'd the text in the article but just pretend that the missing bits mention Astarion's skate routine as well, as that's canonically what it's about.
I realize Gale would probably be more fashionable but I'm going with Mystra trying to promote merch as my headcanon here.

Astarion x Gale
Gale x Astarion
Mighty and powerful GODS
They are giving me so many Tulio and Miguel vibes ngl. Maybe that's why I ship them so much?
…Fuck now i need to draw Tulio!Astarion and Miguel!Gale. Just give Gale 2 levels in Bard and he's basically Miguel anyway looking at all the magical wonder of El Dorado and Astarion is already a Rogue so it works really well.
Just a quick little bloodweave doodle. Playing as Origin!Astarion doing a Bloodweave run has been SO much fun. Excited to do it the other way round next time too.

Speedpaint and Artist notes under the cut
If you recognize this fandom send me fic recs, please!!
Decided to try a bit more of a painting style instead of my usual cell-shaded style with this one. I started tracing trying to get a feel for the character's poses, but go with more my style for the actual drawing.
Look, I Binged and rewatched the 10th Kingdom all in one day and while it is definitely early 2000s hashtag problematic I will always have a soft spot for it.
I hadn't watched this all the way through in probably… 20 years now? jesus, I'm old And I realized upon rewatch that I'd watched it FAR too young. Wolf is SO FREAKING HORNY OMFG. I hadn't remembered that but like. JESUS CHRIST.
Also Idk if it's because I watched it at double speed, but Wolf was more like a puppy than what we now think of as "wolfish" character archetypes? He's more like the old Looney Tunes caricature of a wolf, rather than the "lone wolf" archetype that's more popular in fantasy nowadays. Really interesting characterization when compared to modern film tropes.
Also the immediate turn around having ONE (1) session of Therapy was played for laughs but it made me get plot bunnies about how it could be rewritten today. Because ultimately it seemed like a relatively healthy thing he was doing, reading self help books and taking them to heart (even when they gave bad advice, unfortunately). Anyway, I'm fascinated and Virginia and Wolf are just gonna live rent free in my head for a while, I think.
