i like them a lot!! i think the reboot is pretty succesful.. as much as i love the original care bear illustrations, i understand theyre just generaly not what kids these days tend to go for in terms of art so i get the need for a reboot. i dont own any of the stuff, tho.. care bears have been collabing with a lot of brands i wear lately.. i have a skirt from unique vintage, a dress from modcloth and a tshirt i got from like. hot topic.. so it seems theyre trying to do a re emergance in adult ‘cute’ fashion brands which is honestly rlly smart considering how often nostalgia comes into play in cute fashions.. but all of the designs are based on older care bear designs which is nice but i just havent seen a lot of adult sized clothing with the reboot which makes me a little sad bc i find them rlly cute!! yru had care bear shoes i wanted sooooo bad but yru is always out of my price range so 😭😭 overall i find them rlly cute i just wish there was more stuff that fit adults with the new designs

my trc take is that theres things i LOVE love abt ms's writing (mainly her descriptions and prose and she can do rlly good character stuff) and also things that are wacky bizarre like her pacing? trk wasnt her first time fucking up the ending of a series i personally felt the end of the shiver trilogy also fell flat and failed to resolve a lot of questions & plot threads. i hope she finally writes a good ending for the ronan books tho...i havent read them but y'all who have deserve something nice.

bird books are the only thing by stief i have read, so i can’t speak to any of her other writing, but i would generaly agree!!! i had a hard time getting through trb because of the pacing (and some of her prose tbh), but the ideas and characters kept me onboard for the next 2 books.

i’m fine with some ambiguity and dangling plot threads, a good ending =/= an ending that is neatly wrapped up, but yeah i think where trk fell short was 1. many of maggie’s comments about it before and after (i know she was Not Doing Well at the time, so it’s not a big deal but it did impact my reading of the book) and 2. introducing a bunch of BIG NEW stuff that there just wasn’t time or space to get into and that wouldn’t come up in the dreamer trilogy (henry, the tree people, gansey’s ancient magical forest soul etc.)

i know ppl ask this very kindly and i rlly dont blame anyone, but i rlly need some kind of prompt or at least a vague question to go off of when you would like more content!

I have generaly told you guys most of my expendable ideas and if I haven't then it's because they are WIPs that I hope to release one day in fics, so it's kinda hard to pull ideas out of thin air without a prompt!

i would genuinely love to create more content and especially focus on mama lo and vee bc theyre ADORABLE!! but i rlly need something to build on!
