#salsa ramble#vent?#idk i was just thinking#it was kind of heartbreaking to learn my mother never really loved to sew#that she learned it out of desperation to have a skill she could use for work#she was never really interested in the craft just that she could use it to work at a fabric or whatever#its heartbreaking to me because i cant even imagine how it feels to craft without love#everything you create is uniquely yours and its something you can be proud of! no matter how small or 'bad' it may be#and to live your whole life doing something you find uninteresting and boring is#idk soul crushing#i could never#but then its something so common i have realised#i know im so very privileged to being able to keep myself floating with something i love#mum nowadays only does repairs on clothes and sometimes sews stuff for this company#she told me that there was a time where she tried making clothes to sell#but she hated it#she hated making...#idk why im thinking so hard about this i should stop
