We go through a lot normally but even more so when the temperatures are low and snow is everywhere. Happy Monday with Anikin! What a great way to start off the week. The snow is finally melting making everything a terrible muddy mess, but we're happy to have some sun for a change. Anikin decided to soak up as much sun as he can before yet another winter storm hits in 2 days. We really need your help to stock up on straw and hay asap. 🥶 It's $3 thaw us out Thursday! We got around 8 inches of snow last night. In these freezing temperatures, we've been breaking up ice and shoveling all throughout the day. The water kept re-freezing as we were shoveling. We'd break it up, shovel the snow and the water would already be frozen over again. 🙏🏻😢It's Will you help us Wednesday! 🛻🐐🐐🐐We were supposed have a big trip coming up this Saturday (12+ hr trip) to take in some new residents. While we were taking the horse trailer into town for registration, our only truck decided to try and die on us. We barely got it back to MVS. 🛻This morning we had to pay to have it towed to the dealership to be diagnosed. The garage is so backed up that they said that it could be a month before they even plug in the diagnostic equipment! I begged with them on the phone this morning to please do it asap. 🛻This truck is the lifeline of the sanctuary, we have no other truck. This is used for our hay and animal transportation. Right now we're hoping our neighbors can help us with getting hay. We have someone who should be able to help tomorrow morning hopefully. 🐐🐐🐐That still leaves the residents that were going to be taking in. Due to weather, tires etc this trip has been delayed for over a month now. Theor care taker can't do this much longer and we're running out of time. I'm going to call the garage tomorrow and hopefully they've done something, even just a diagnostic code. Maybe it will be something minor, I'm hoping that's the case and the trip can still happen Saturday but it's not looking great. I'm so worried it might be something major, that would be our luck 😢 We're also trying to find a transport company to help make this happen in case the truck isn't ready. 😢I have no idea how much it will cost, if the issue will be covered by the warranty or anything.
