So basically if you look at the Russian top 10 dance teams:
Sinitsina/Katsalapov - likely retiring
Stepnova/Bukin - aiming for 2026
nepotism #2 - aiming for 2026
Khuda/Bazin - aiming for 2026 (though I personally doubt it)
Annabelle Morozov / Andrei Bagin - split
Elizaveta Shanaeva / Devid Naryzhnyy - split
Anastasia Skoptsova / Kirill Aleshin - retired
Arina Ushakova / Maxim Nekrasov - retired
Tiffany Zahorski / Jonathan Guerreiro - likely retiring
Shevchenko/Eremenko - retired
Even if Morozov/Naryzhnyy teaming up the field pretty much cleared, some of it is because of the (justified) Russian ban, but I’m certain the corrupt rise of nepotism #2 played a huge part in the decision for at least 5 of these teams which just might be the dumbest thing RusFed has done in a long time.

2021 Grand prix France Entry #12
Free dance
Reed/Ambrulevicius(LTU)
Thoughts: during warmups, I was focused so much on Alison’s dress but during the actual program my fixation with it went away. The mind is fickle like that.
Turkklia/Versluis(FIN)
Thoughts: loved Julia’s earrings. Their opening lift was so beautiful.
Morozov/Bagin(RUS)
Thoughts: the costumes made this feel like an Aladdin program. Was that the original intent or am I just crazy?!

Trust Russians to do a ballet based program right

the unfortunate thing about morazov/bagin is that I genuinely love the first half of their program, but the second half goes so far downhill so quick with that fucking bizarre music change

LOL just realized they even got Skoptcova/Alleshin lower PCS than team nepotism which means they are going to have the 3rd highest PCS on the night and makes me completely lose any kind of faith in ice dance integrity.

Grand Prix France Entry #6
Same commentator here. Laughing at the pauses in his speech.
Women short program
Alena Kostornaia(RUS)
Thoughts: she has this smug smile on her face and I didn’t like her ending pose.
Anna Shcherbakova(RUS)
Thoughts: Her biellman position was awkward looking. And what did she do with her hair?!
Short dance
Rensburg/Steffan(GER)
Thoughts: Jennifer has this really fun flirty approach to this music. Very nice. It’s a shame Benjamin had that fall and the wobbly twizzles.
Morozov/Bagin(RUS)
Thoughts: I liked Annabelle’s ending pose. She tries so hard to show off those legs but I just wasn’t terribly attracted to her.
Turkklia/Versluis(FIN)
Thoughts: Julia tends to enchant me the minute she starts moving. And that dress is beautiful.
Demougeot/Mercier(FRA)
Thoughts: Locia giving Julia a run for her money. Especially that stationary lift. She’s something special.
