special edition birthday roundup :)

thank you to everyone who sent me birthday wishes! and also to the two people who sent me kofis hehe I think I am going to buy a hat :) (I keep my hair short because I am sick all the time but the only ballcap I have is a washed out navy blue one I inherited from my grandpa! obviously I need a cute pastel one if I'm going to be wearing cute pastel clothes more often!)

and now we will look at the cute kirbs people drew for me!! they all make me very happy and they are all very cute!! I am saving them all to my computer (with attribution) so I can keep them forever :>

Simon, possessed by a demon electing to go by Ghost, makes his way through a very unsteady early adulthood with sex work and, later, streaming on Twitch, all under the guise of "Ghost." He meets another streamer, who goes by "Soap," and their chemistry lands them a supernatural investigation show, and a friendship that might just bud into something more, if Ghost has anything to say about it.

I know how much I love that he does that in all of the fics about them, but I genuinely had no idea there was a recorded instance of this really happening!!!!!!

oh he absolutely does. i think there are multiple instances of tk calling pat babe or baby. SACRED TEXTS. i'm trying to remember when else... @eliooliver83 @puckingfabulous @lostcol do any of y'all remember other times tk's called pat baby? i don't think the one i reblogged this morning is the only one, but a lot of their most unhinged moments feel like a fever dream so who could say.

i shall reblob some of my favorite tknp moments for you (cheek kiss! parking garage! protective tk!) bc they are lovely and we deserve the simultaneous pain/pleasure of tknp's most sickeningly in love moments.

daily notes - may 17, 2023

-- Counseling went well. Figured out a couple extra things about that hair-cut dream, as we talked about it.

-- Did a quick stop at the grocery store, to pick up the usual salad bar offerings. Dad got the “small” plate and stuffed it to the gills; it was like $10. I grabbed the “large” tin and didn’t fill it with as much as usual, so it was under $7. (It’s priced per-pound, and dad was grabbing heavy items, like pasta salad and pineapples. If they had iceberg lettuce, instead of only romaine, I would’ve gotten more.)

-- Dad had started some stew in the crock pot this morning (8:30am), so the house smelled wonderful when we returned (1:30pm). Thus, it was stew for lunch, salad for dinner, and probably some leftover stew for a midnight snack later.

-- I’ve noted lately that one of my bad cavities has gotten worse. (It’s right next to the toof that got a crown, several years ago.) It looked rough but was still painless. Now, the pain is only from the sharp edge cutting my inner cheek - no nerve pain.

---- I still had some of the Dent-Temp putty that I used, so I stuck that in my toof. First try didn’t get it in place, so I had some extra material stuck to neighboring teef. Second try worked, thankfully. My cheek is numb from the cloves, and I am delighted.

(I’ve got a dental phobia, so I use purposeful misspellings to get around my word filters, in case someone reblobs my post.)

Thank you for playing this game with me! 9 - Favorite smell in the summer?

Weirdly enough, summer is my least liked season (even though I was born in it). However, favorite smell from that would have to be how in the summer the smell of a morning dew is much stronger than other seasons. It is both earthy and fresh, plus it reminds me of my childhood when going to summer camps.

16 - Most comfortable position to sit in

Oh goodness, I feel like somehow you picked this to out me. I am constantly sitting in seats weird when alone. I have a few go-to's. 1) Start with your legs criss-crossed, then sling the top leg over the other. Thighs would be similar to just crossing your legs...but instead I am sitting on one foot with the other pointing in the opposite direction 2) Sitting in a chair with one leg flat on the ground...and the second one under me (as in, I'm sitting on it in the chair). It is something I do when my leg starts tapping out of my control 3) One leg over the arm of the chair with the other crossed under me

21 - Obsession from childhood

I used to be obsessed with these fake diaries - called The Royal Diaries. There was one of Cleopatra (another obsession of mine being Egypt), Sondok (the start of my Korean interest) and Victoria (A Queen I look up to SOOOO much)

I woke up way too early for my day, at 4am, so naturally the whole morning/lunch got hijacked by rambling all over the place. So hopefully I wake up more regulated in time to get up and get all the shit I had planned today done. Or at least something beyond "took meds breakfast" done

I'm getting some form of therapy soon again finally, so here's hoping I can get methods to get my shit done and not get distracted and upset cos emotional dysregulation and hyperfocus × distortion of passing time (sidenote Dali droopy surrealism art personally makes me think of my distorted perception of time) has been a super real struggle for so long now. But I do have better days where I do get things done, so I'm always grateful when they decide to stop in. Such is fluctuating capacity*/dynamic disability. Ok, I'm actually gonna try go to rest now but if you do see me reblog a few things no you didn't I'm a good girl 😈 (just gonna try reblob some hopefully calming things)

Better With Age; Kaida Asagiri

Describe your muse at 20, 40, and 60!

Kaida Asagiri-Malaguld -- Age 20 -- A bright-eyed adventurer that was recently inducted into the Scions of the Seventh Dawn as a battle medic and also takes side-jobs for the Order of the Twin Adders for extra gil. Having been in Eorzea for a few years, Kaida is used to being a stranger in a strange land. She helps the Scions as best as she can, becoming a rising star among their ranks. Kaida is stationed in Gridania to help combat the growing threat of the Ascians and does a fair bit of voidsent hunting on the side. She is an optimistic soul, unphased by her past failures and looking forward to the adventures life has in store for her.

Kaida Baelsar -- Age 40 -- Despite not seeing the battlefield as much, Kaida still maintains her title as Eorzea’s Little Dragon, a champion of light. She is found less in the fray and more on the political field during this time. She operates to smooth relations over between the Alliance and foreign countries. Her primary home at this time is Ishgard, which is far more bitter and cold than her birthplace. She adjusts to the weather poorly, often seen layered in an impossible amount of coats. Her husband, Gaius, takes to the weather far better and often teases her gently about her need to wear at least three scarves just to go down the street to the market. Her optimism never waned as she grew older. Her resolve for a better world only strengthened. At this point, Kaida has re-united with her family and has forgiven them for her exile. She still maintains her distance, though, believing it better that way. Kaida Asagiri of the Blue Village feels like another person to her. She is proud of the strides she’s made.

Kaida Baelsar -- Age 60 -- Well-retired from politics and adventuring both, Kaida works at the Rising Stones when the situation calls for it. Most of the time, however, she dwells in her humble home off the radar in Dravania. She helps with the Scions occasionally from a logistics standpoint but has hung up her blade otherwise. Her children come by often to their cottage to see if she and her husband have strangled each other yet. Usually the home is full of playful banter. Retirement life suits Kaida and Gaius well. Arguably too well. Their firstborn, Jin, enjoys recounting a tale in which he dropped by the home in time to see Kaida and Gaius jousting with broomsticks and yelling insults at each other. Re-enacting Praetorium, allegedly, though Jin believes they were embellishing a few details.
