So my human OC, Loretta "Ettie" Caruso, with mini versions of the Astro Squad in their alt modes!

This story isn't a new continuity, but rather an exploration of the G1 universe with a different set of characters we've never gotten to see through the eyes of.

Time for some actual info about her specifically!

Ettie is a 28 year old mechanic from New Jersey born in 1978, raised in by her single father with an older sister and younger brother. When the Autobots and Decepticons emerged in 1984, she was immediately entranced by them and thought they were the coolest thing. In 1994, she got to go to an event hosted by Blaster and meet him face to face. She developed an infatuation with him really quick (don't come for me, this is exactly why we all make up OCs). While she'd been interested in the field anyway, she became determined to become a mechanic so she could help out the Autobots... And be closer to these alien robots she's rooted for since she was 6. In the year 1999, she was selected to go through Cybertronian medical training due to her excelling in mechanic work and testing well on basic Cybertonian anatomy. Traveling to Autobot City, dhe did lessons with Autobot medics like Ratchet, First Aid, and Hoist as well as some lessons with Sparkplug Witwicky who'd been working on the bots since 1984 and she did very well. Over time, she became better and better, even doing solo work on bots herself. In 2004, she was selected to join a deep space mission with the Astro Squad. She underwent some astronaut training and basic EDC training on interplanetary procedures and etiquette and the team officially started their mission in early 2005.

Now, the year is 2006 and, while meshing with the team has taken some trial and error (especially with the battle-eager Barrage), but she would say it's going well.

As for Ettie, she's headstrong but kind. Her hero worship of the Autobots made her want to stand up for those who needed help. She can be a little overzealous at times, but she does legitimately mean well. Part of this is because she's butted heads with people in her chosen industry and, thusly, she can get defensive. She also religiously tunes into Blaster's radio show broadcast from Autobot City. Since actually meeting the Autobots, her hero worship has cooled down (and becoming an adult). They're people just like humans are. She's butted heads with a few bots who aren't quite as accepting of humans in their midst as others are... Though she still has never been able to let go when it comes to Optimus Prime.

When they got the news about the attack on Autobot City later on, it was quite a blow to the team. They eventually landed on a planet and held their own little ceremony to honor those who'd been lost.

Now the year is 2006 and they're continually their exploration of deep space!

In “The Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm Show”, Penny has an unexplained dislike of the geeky and friendly Moonrock and only refers to him as “Creep”. In the episode “The Birthday Present”, while searching for Pebbles’s missing birthday present for Wilma, the kids investigate at the Gruesomes’ spooky house and are spooked by Gobby and his giant spider. Penny apparently jumps into Moonrock’s arms while Wiggy leaps onto his shoulders.

I have never drawn Ozone in his entirety but that doesn't mean I'm not the Absolute God-King Authority That Is Always Correct And Super Cool Forever And Ever on all things Moonrockers

Allow me to present my case for no-tail failguy Ozone Lastname:

1. The bot doesn't have one You heard me. That unfortunate son of a gun is tailess in reality. There's nothing back there. Just ass and crushed dreams. If there's one thing all Dook Mechs have in common it's a big base with nothing at the back. I apologize for every word I've ever spoken I think. Also well accustomed to the fact you cannot flummox reality, no matter how much you want to - and baby THIS is whats real

2. Swamp thing inspiration While Ozone is and will always be an alien, there's no denying his appearance evokes 'goth punk creature from the black lagoon', which in my opinion is awesome. And if you'll inspect this reference image of dear lagooner, you will find that they too are indeed tailess. Why make him a generic sea creature when you could make him a tribute to the original sea creature...man...thing....

3. Turtle theory One of the things I've noticed while gazing into my folder of moonrocker images for several hours at a time is that Ozone's face sculpt is turtle-y. He's got the beak he's got the wrinkles, toe to a tip that turt-inspired. Though that's the only place it's present in his design… unless. Unless his lack of tail wasn't a lack of tail at all! Instead a small little nothing tail, just a turtles would be! Huzzah! Balance is restored!

In all seriousness, draw Ozone however you want. Just cause I'm predisposed to him having a bad case of human-tailbone-itis doesn't mean you have to be. Moonrockers are about having fun and putting people in headlocks. And I should add…any art of them is good art. goodness knows they're hurting for fanart.

The final pair of the Astro Squad, Missile Master and Moonrock! With human OC, Loretta, also known as Ettie. Phaser and Blast Master, Barrage and Heave.

Missile Master and Moonrock are a two party combiner that turns into a rocket transport.

Missile Master is the leader of the squad and likes for everything to go exactly as he planned. Exactly as planned. He and Loretta occasionally bump heads over this as she's not quite as diligent about following plans as he wants her to be. As well as her being more sassy than the rest of the team. However, she does listen when things are getting dangerous and, while he does find her mild insubordination frustrating, he does recognize that she does care for the team as well as the fact that her perspective can be very helpful.

Moonrock is extraordinarily laid back and usually lets Missile Master take the lead when they're combined. He's something of a "space cadet", but the time his processor spends wandering is spent philosophizing. Loretta is the ear that listens when he vocalizes his thoughts as she does maintenance or repairs. A common theme is the topic of travel and how every new person they meet is a person that changes their perspective. She thinks he should write a book about it. He is her most common partner for wandering new planets with.
