Book Review…Moon Deeds by Palmer Pickering The Star Children Saga follows Cassidy and Torr as they slowly awaken to their destiny as the twin Star Children, born every millennium to reconnect with the source of all life. They come to discover the sheer enormity of their task: to find our ancestors on a lost planet across the galaxy and save humanity from a spiraling descent into darkness. The powers they must wield to accomplish this task are truly frightening and put at risk everything they love. This was a good adventure story! It took me a little to get into but once everything started I had trouble putting it down. The character development was fantastic! They have a lot of depth and the twins' personalities are the kind that draw you in wanting to know more. The pace is good and the world is quite interesting. "Chuck..."

Charles stirred, sitting up with his head in his hands. Tracie stood in the doorway, evidently still in his own pajamas - a dark blue onesie with striped legs.

"Chuck, you need to get up - Reggie says we need to pick up Henry, and you're his copilot this rotation."

"Really...?" Charles grumbled, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes as Tracie tossed him his headset. "I hope he doesn't expect me to be fully in uniform..."

"It's okay, he isn't either." Tracie smiled, shrugging. "At least for once there's free coffee up on the bridge 'cause we got woke up so early."

Charles stumbled out of bed, lazily adjusting the oversized t-shirt he was wearing. Tracie raised an eyebrow, only for him to lift up part of it to reveal a pair of basketball shorts.

Nodding, Tracie motioned for the two of them to walk down the hall to the Bridge.

"I'm surprised we found him so quickly," Charles said with a shrug. "Considering, um... I think Chief wanted to be the leader for a bit longer..."

"Nah, Chuck, you're overreacting." Tracie put a hand on his chin with a short inhale. "Reggie's totally gonna give the hat back to Henry; even he knows that the proper rules for taking over are a trial by bloodshed - and it's not fair sportsmanship if you don't do it in front of everyone else."

"Did he sound mad?"

"Well, yeah, but he's not a morning person - hell, none of us are." Tracie laughed. "That's why the coffee's free for once - usually each cup gets swiped off the top of whatever loot we pull for the Clan."
