What roles I think the WE alts will be playing when they inevitably return:

So Monique's Howard is a ponytail (or even full wig but I doubt they would do a full wig for a third cover) I presume....but is Leah using her natural hair or a backpiece (perhaps her old S backpiece???)??

Monique's is just a ponytail. Leah is using a back piece. You're right on the money - her old S back piece is exactly what I think it is (but cut and restyled of course). @lightleckrereins and I had seen the Boleyn in Zoë Louise's takeover and were trying to figure out who it was for because Leah was an obvious explanation but it was significantly lighter than her full (current) Seymour wig right next to it. Looks like when they gave her the full wig they just darkened her color up.

Wednesday September 6, Leah Vassell and Monique Ashe-Palmer will be hitting Double Swingo!

This is the 2nd time of two performers reaching Swingo together at the same show, with the 1st being Rachel Rawlinson and Esme Rothero in 2022.

I’m sure Leah and Monique will be incredible as Boleyn and Howard (respectively) and I’m so jealous of everyone who goes that night!

The new WE alt 2nd and 3rd cover system is something that keeps me up at night

sorry to flood yr inbox but do you know the reason for the imbalance of shows with Leah vs Monique?

It's just very strange

It's just because Seymour + Parr have both had far more cover shows than Aragon + Cleves so far, so Leah has had more chances to go on for both of her first covers. In fact, Leah has actually gone on for her covers less, percentage-wise. Before, I get into specifics, a few notes: - the stats I'm using for this post are a little different than the ones you're using. That's just because I'm answering this a few days later when more shows have happened. - and if anybody uses these stats anywhere, please credit me.

So. So far in this 2022-2023 run: - There have been 67 shows with an alt on for Aragon and 48 for Cleves. - Monique has done 38 of those Aragon shows and 37 of those Cleves shows, which comes out to 57% of the Aragon covers and 77% of the Cleves covers. - There have been 94 shows with an alt on for Seymour and 112 for Parr. - Leah has done 47 of those Seymour shows and 59 of those Parr shows, totaling 50% of the Seymour covers and 53% of the Parr covers.

So...what's the disparity between why Monique has done, percentage-wise, so many more of the shows for her covers? Well, off the top of my head I know that many of those Seymour and Parr shows have actually been the same performances, which means Leah can't have possibly done both. And because I'm a stats nerd, we're diving deeper.

So. Seymour/Parr - There have been 162 performances with S and/or P covers. - 114 of those had either a S OR P cover. 48 had an S cover AND a P cover (that's 29% of the shows with S and/or P covers on). - Of the 114 with just one or the other, Leah was on for 67 of the performances covering Seymour or Parr. She also did one as Cleves (with Esme on for Parr). That's 59%, or 60% with the Cleves. - Of the 48 with both an S AND P cover on, Leah did 41(!!). This was most commonly her on as Seymour with Esme on for Parr (14 performances) or her on for Parr with Rachel on for Seymour (16 performances). That's in line with their priority orders too. And for Leah that's 85% of the shows with both on. Aragon/Cleves - There have been 105 performances with A and/or C covers. - 94 of those performances had just an A OR C cover. 11 had an A AND C (that's 10%). - Of the 94 with just an A OR C, Monique did 65 as either A or C. That's 69%. - Of the 11 with an A AND C on, Monique did 10. That's 91%. This is most commonly Rachel A and Monique C (7 shows). TL;DR: Yes, Leah has done more shows in pure stats. But that's because she's had many more opportunities to go on for her first covers, and in line with typical priority that’s most of what she does. When it actually comes down to how much of the time they've been on when one of their first covers has been needed, Monique has been on a higher percentage of the time.

2022-23 West End Alt Wigs

Hey! I know I’ve gotten a few asks about this and with debuts of some third covers these last few days I thought I’d finally make a proper post. Wigs are all made by Samuel James Wigs and everyone's hair/wigs are styled by Zoe Louise.

Monique Ashe-Palmer Monique wears her natural hair for Aragon. The front is pulled back with a center part, but it doesn't utilize any Dutch braids in the front like most other recent Aragon styles. She also seems to wear her natural hair for Cleves. It's just pulled up on to the top of her hair and forward in a faux-hawk. For Boleyn and Seymour she has a half wig. It's styled in twists. For Boleyn the front half of her hair is pulled straight into regular Boleyn buns. For Seymour the front is twisted back around the crown and pinned to blend into her back piece. (S photo by Pamela Raith) For Parr she seems to wear her own hair just styled over to the side and left loose.

Danielle Rose Danielle wears her own hair for Boleyn. It's a typical middle part and Boleyn buns style. For Howard she slicks back her own hair into a bun and then adds a pink ponytail piece over. For Aragon she has a short curled back piece. (Note that she hasn't covered Aragon on this 22-23 contract, but it is one of her first covers) For Seymour she wears her own hair. Center part, slight beehive, and curled with rollers. For Parr she has a front bump into a low ponytail. It's not identical to Roxanne Couch's Parr hair: the ponytail is set much lower and doesn't seem to have the same braid style.

Leah Vassell Leah started out with just a back-piece for Seymour. Her own hair was pulled back with a center part from the front. Pretty quickly in the run she got a new full-wig. The wig length and overall style was changed, and a beehive styling was added. For Parr she pulls her hair over into a bun and then a side piece is added. This was Maiya Quansah Breed's from Hampton Court, and I assume still is.

Leah wears her own hair for Aragon. She has a center part and the front is pulled back, but like Monique it doesn't have any Dutch braids in the front. For Cleves her hair is styled into a faux-hawk. It does seem to be a hairpiece rather than her own hair. I actually suspect it's her Parr hairpiece, but haven't been able to confirm that for sure. For Howard her hair is the typical styling of pulled back into a bun with a ponytail piece added over.
