Over on X, Sean James Boyer, one of the composers for My Little Pony: Make Your Mark, has announced that the score for the show will be released on all digital platforms. 

It will be released on May 8th, 2024. 

Previously, My Little Pony: Make Your Mark has had many songs released in a few albums, the last one being Secrets of Starlight in late 2023.

The same goes for the movie My Little Pony: A New Generation, with its songs being available on all platforms. The movie's film score remains unreleased though.

I only ask because you collabed with them a decade ago, but do you know what ever happened to the pony music artist Zahqo and Haymaker? They had such incredible quality that it feels impossible that one or the other isn't operating under another alias somewhere

Yes indeed! I still talk to zahqo on a somewhat regular basis - he has shifted more focus to his DJing these days - we periodically connect to talk about lightning and effects. He does have some new aliases but I'm not sure if I'm at liberty to give them out.

haymaker is also still around - I see them in a few discord chats from time to time, but I think they've deliberately withdrawn to keep a lower profile.

Mysteriously, a tracklist for a new album called "Tell Your Tale - Vol. 4" was uploaded to Genius by an account named "officialmlp." 

The album will feature five songs from My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale. They are called "Is This a Dream?", "Let Your Magic Run Wild", "Your Number One", "Bestie Life", and "Feel The Magic." It will be released on February 16th. 

Two of these songs have appeared in My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale already. "Bestie Life" was from season 2 episode 1, and "Your Number One" is from season 2 episode 4. The remaining songs are expected to appear in future TYT episodes.

Aside from the tracklist, there is no other information or new lyrics for the unreleased songs. 

Something interesting to note is that the Genius account presents itself as an official Hasbro account, but it's not entirely clear if Hasbro is responsible for its contents.

The Genius account has been linked to other similar new accounts on Bandcamp, Audiomack and SoundClick, as well as a SoundCIoud account which appeared to come under the same management recently. It's not completely clear if Hasbro actually controls the content on these other accounts either. The unstrategic and random actions of those accounts, such as using four different accounts to upload the same six tracks from a G3 soundtrack album that actually has 15 tracks, seem almost more like one person's insane pet project than something coordinated by a billion-dollar company with actual resources and plans.

The teamwork leitmotif from My little pony the movie is easily in my top ten favourite leitmotifs. It just fills me with joy and hope. It's like a reverse dies irae.
