Obsessed with the idea that Sunset Shimmer is an alicorn BUT. For my au she wont be, at least not a true alicorn. Shes in the same situation that Sunny Starscout is in! Not enough magic to completely transform in the Equestria Girls world, but has the shadow of alicornhood, only appearing at some points.
If girly had had her emotional moment music video in Equis then she would’ve been a full on alicorn but NOOOOOO you wanted FINGERS

Idk if I'm the only one that feels this way but Make Your Mark feels really queer to me
The G5 mane 6 feels like the type of friend group that starts with 1-2 queer members and gradually everyone involved realizes they're queer until it's suddenly an all-queer friend group
There's no romantic subplots (not counting Haven and Alphabittle), you'd expect Hitch to be paired up with one of the girls since he's the only guy in the main cast but no, they're all friends and there's no weird tension between them
I really love Hitch in particular for so many reasons, he's a disney princess, he's the mom friend, he straight up has a baby, he's breaking gender roles in so many subtle ways. When the girls get sparkles and colorful make-up and painted hooves he also gets it. It's so simple for him to just be a part of the friend group without singling him out as the guy™ or making him the love interest
Then you have Zipp who doesn't use her (very feminine) given name and uses a (gender neutral) "nickname" instead and pretty much only her mom calls her by her given name
Misty only found her true self when she was able to get away from her manipulative abusive parental figure and got a support system in her friends, dyed her hair and had to lie about it to said parental figure, the whole episode with Alphabittle was about him having to come to terms with her having changed from the little filly he once knew and being essentially a different person and that she's still figuring out who she even is because she didn't get to be herself with Opaline, parents coming to terms with their children not being who they thought they were or who they expected them to be
MYM is by no means perfect but I really like that they chose this approach, whether any of it was intentionally queer or not
