I have mixed feelings on kids shows, especially ones with non-human casts/superheros having explicit Christmas specials. But there is one net-good I think to this practice and it's me being able to think about how Jesus was crucified in the canon of this world and how that even worked logistically.

#also shout out to the ones that explicitly make Santa like a super powered guy #like MLP has a christmas album that references christmas explicitly!! how did pony jesus happen?#weve of course all considered cars jesus chrysler and how he may have been carcified #and while veggietales explicitly denies the soul to the vegetables and insists its jesus is the human one #the disney duckverse does no such thing #and so i get to ask if they made him a lamb or a lion in that world

Most of the songs on the MLP Christmas album are really normal and wholesome, and there's just one song that's inexplicably about Rainbow Dash kidnapping and nearly killing Pinkie, Rarity, and Applejack.

1. 3 ships: hmm... fandom is something i engage in so selectively, i don't even know if i could conjure three ships. uh, LapiDot for sure, SidLink (and ZeLink but i don't wanna double dip), and... okay DaveKat, i'll own up to it 😔

2. first ever ship: uhhh probably something homestuck or mlp related 👍

3. last song: Pigeonometry by Aesop Rock :V it's a very good album, i've been listening through it a lot since it dropped

4. last movie: uhhh A Christmas Story actually lol. they did a limited theater event that we saw, it was neat to see such a classic on the big screen. lots of details i've never noticed before.

5. currently reading: nothing right now 😔 i've got a buncha books to get to but my big Reading Initiative for this year has kinda slowed down lol.

6. currently watching: weirdly i started watching a lot of Iron Chef recently lmao. it's good chillout television, the dubbing is very fun and it's just cool to see chefs at the top of their game like that.

7. currently consuming: Iced Caramelizer from Dutch Bros :)

8. currently craving: a second iced caramelizer from dutch bros
