I understand completely why a lot of people don’t like Natalie, but she’s such a well written character. She’s the perfect example of the “Anti-hero”!
First, she’s been helping Gabriel, because of the love she had for him and to have Emilie back, since she knew how much she meant for the Agrestes. So, she’s fighting for a “good cause”, even if it’s helping the villain of the situation. The moment she realizes that he’s gone nuts and is no longer fighting for Emilie, but for his own selfish reasons, she abandons his plan. Now, she’s very clear about her opinion on his new behavior. She only helps him again in “Passion”, because she doesn’t want Adrien to be alone. She could care less about Gabriel.
Second, it’s so sad that this woman is completely fine on being used so that other people could have their own happy endings, even if it meant she’ll end up miserable. She literally risked her own health and body for Gabriel. She’s been around the Agrestes, working for them, seeing them happy and having her heart broken just so that Gabriel could be happy with the woman he loved.
Natalie is such an interesting character and I love the way she’s written. I’m a complete sucker for the ‘cursed woman, bad woman’ trope. The female characters that go completely against the stereotype of the ‘good woman’ and are just cracked glass, stained, deep, intelligent, breaking the norms and having people disapprove their actions, but continuing to behave that way. Slowly, she’s becoming my favorite character. Natalie is in the secondary position with Gabriel, not because he makes her, but because she allows him to. The moment she doesn’t want to, she rises and we see the power she has over him!

Hanna wore an army t-shirt a couple episodes ago. It was green with cutoff sleeves. We had to disguise something that was printed on the shirt. Sometimes we have to do that if it’s maybe too graphic or is something we aren’t able to use. I [covered it up] with my initials and my assistant’s initials. On one side it says, ML for Mandi Line and the other side NW for Nicole Weiner, my assistant. Some of my friends texted me. They were like, ‘Nice initials.’ But I don’t think anyone spotted the locket.
