[English Subs DL] Banana Fish Stage Play Part 1 & Part 2

Hello, friends~! I come to you this time with English subs for the Banana Fish stage plays~! Thank you to @emerald-trashart for requesting me to do both plays! I had such a blast working on it even though it got a bit overwhelming and heavy at times (because Banana Fish (╥_╥))

The stage play is just so amazing, and beautifully made...! I went into this not knowing what to expect, and I came out of it just mesmerized. If you're familiar with Banana Fish, of course it will be as heavy as its source material, but I think that you would enjoy it! The production did a really great job respecting and staying true to the events of its source, and I think long-time fans would love it ^^

The actors, too...! They were so great at their roles, and gosh the emotions and intensity they portrayed were really convincing. Mizue Kenta and Okamiya Kurumu were so perfect as Ash and Eiji, and their chemistry was just beautiful T^T>

Alright, enough rambling! I'll let the stage play speak for itself! (￣▽￣)

Musical Touken Ranbu Spring 2023 has a name

We finally have a name for the new stage

花影ゆれる砥水

Hanakage yureru tomizu

I don't have the knowledgeto translate the title but the name of the humans have been revealed :

Mitsuru will be playing Honami Kotoku. In history he is known to be a sword appraiser/inscriptor/ polisher from a pretty well known familly that appraised or inscribed many of our boys

Yasuto Kosuda will be playing toyotomi hideyoshi

and our dear ex-ensemble will be playing a character named Kage

So for now our best and most credible theme is going to be around the worth of a sword !

autumn 2022 announcements were way too soon for me BUT AGHHHHHHHHHHHHH AKIGUMI FINALLY

all of supporting cast is natsugumi, even though i was hoping for tsuzuru to be here so there could be like one scene where they recommend doing zombies for azami to display his talent and then tsuzuru would be like "... zombies?" and then he just remembers spring 2022.. god that would be funny- but maekawa yuuki deserves another break after being in all those shows. anyways i've been thinking about how they would do the transformations for all the zombies in dead/undead for the longest time now so i am reallyyyy excited for this

Tabikurage Tantei Nikki

A palate cleanser since it's just 4 eps 25 minutes each. It's a Jdrama about a PI, Mackey, who lives out of an old camping van, travelling Japan. One day, he meets a young man, Kenta, who's also travelling without any destination in mind. Neither having anyone in the world, they start travelling and working as PIs together. But there's a really bad guy after Mackey who decides to use Kenta as a leverage...

Funny and touching and sweet. Mackey takes Kenta in on a whim, basically, because Kenta reminds him of his younger brother. They bicker constantly but they also find family in each other. The relief that they aren't alone in the world anymore is honestly almost palpable.

Give it a try if you want to watch something a little different and short, something that won't force you to commit for days or weeks. Done in under two hours, it was a nice change of pace. Also, Mizue Kenta who plays, well, Kenta, is really pretty.

hiiya! as I have become used to being a second year at university and everything regaring my study abroad next semester has calmed down a bit, I’ve been able to spend some more time on my hobbies lately, which means I’m finally reading all the magazines (featuring Kenta of course) I’ve bought in the past year and am trying to translate them again! This short interview from June 2021, right before the first part of the Banana Fish stage play was happening (if I remember correctly?) was the first out of a lot of magazines I have chilling on my bookshelves, so if you’re interested in reading it, don’t hesitate to message me!

Musical Touken Ranbu Spring 2023

No official name yet for the show running from April 30th to june 18th with 5 new swords and a returning one.

the show will run in :

Tokyo at Tokyo Dome Hall from april 30th to may 7th

Hyogo at Amashin Archaic Hall from may 13th yo 20th

Fukuoka at Kitakyushu Soleil Hall from may 26th to 28th

Tokyo at TACHIKAWA STAGE GARDEN from june 3rd to 18th

The Human cast :

Mitsuru Karahashi (唐橋充) : well known on stage that already played the narrator in dategumi souki shutsujin

Ryoji Sugiyama (杉山諒二) : a long time dancer/ensemble on toumyu (reponsible for numerous death back in the day)

and Yasuto Kosuda (小須田康人)

And the Main cast is :
