Responding to the other anon, Fire Emblem has body diversity for the male villains whom are often fat, scarred, disfigured, muscular, ETC.
Notice even in Engage, Mitan is drawn attractively unlike the male bandits in the same game whom have the usual features Fire Emblem uses to mark characters as "evil+ugly".
Infact, this is likely why the rare female are virtually always sympathetic with only very rare exceptions like Hilda(FE4) and Sonia(FE7), the artists aren't willing to draw women whom aren't conventionally attractive, so they aren't willing to depict them as truly evil either.

Oooh, this is a good question. I thought it would be fun to write this from the POV of an MC who believed this before they came to Aquarii.
Liviana- Liviana takes a minute to process your revelation before she nods. “I’m not surprised, humans haven’t even finished exploring their own galaxy yet, why worry about others?” The warm smile she gives you does little to hide her true feelings, you’ve known Liviana for far too long now to not be able to tell when she’s holding back her laughter.
“It’s not funny! I just didn’t believe it was possible to have another planet that could maintain other life forms. And even if there was, I didn’t believe any other lifeforms would have the same intelligence as humans.”
You scoff as you watch Liviana cover her mouth to hide a snort. “You didn’t believe another species could be as intelligent as humans? Truly?”
“It’s not like Earth has much to offer in competition.”
Liviana straightens herself as she calms down. “Well, I suppose I cannot fault humanity for that. I’m sure the early Mitans felt the same way before they discovered our neighboring galaxies. I’m sure humanity will come to the same realization someday. It’s a shame that I may not get to witness it, though.”
She then turns to you, a genuine, warm smile on her face. “But I’m glad to have seen just a glimpse of the connection mitans could have with humans.”
Amare- Amare can’t help himself, he bursts out laughing as soon as the words leave your mouth. You roll your eyes, slightly tapping him with the back of your hand, which only makes him laugh even harder.
“I’m sorry, you thought-” Another wave of laughter interrupts him, and he takes a few minutes trying to regain his composure. He wipes the corners of his eyes as his laughter dies down. “You seriously thought humans were the only living beings in a universe as big as ours? And you’re genuinely telling me this a popular belief?”
“Can you blame us? We’ve never ventured that far into space to find any other life forms.” You argue.
“So wouldn’t the logical conclusion be that there is most likely more intelligent life out there? I can’t imagine looking up at the sky full of kajillions of stars and thinking to myself ‘Man, it’s great to be the only one in the universe that gets to see this!’” Amare runs a hand through his hair, clearly not able to comprehend this. “And wouldn’t that be terrifying? A universe as big as that and you’re the only thing in it?”
“I find the thought that there might be a species out there that’s even smarter and stronger than the both of us to be more terrifying than the thought of being completely alone.”
Amare shrugs. “Fair.” He winks at you. “But I still think you’re stupid.” You bump your shoulder into his as he laughs.
Estelle- Estelle simply raises an eyebrow, a small smirk on her lips. “A little narcissistic, don’t you think? Does humanity really think they’re that special?”
You shrug. “Well, it’s not like we’ve been given much evidence to believe otherwise.”
“Hmm… Well, now I’m curious, what evidence did these so-called ‘conspiracy theorists’ present to argue for other life forms outside of Earth?”
“Uh, I don’t know, UFO sightings are one example.”
“UFO?” Estelle tilts her head.
“Unidentified flying object”
Estelle’s eyebrows furrow. “Ah? So they say they saw spaceships? I thought Roux and Allele were the first virrians to go down to Earth…”
You shake your head. “There’s not much evidence to prove that the images were real, they could just be photoshopped, or AI.”
“Great. Another mystery involving the virrians. Well, I’ll leave this one for humans to figure out, it’s their planet.”
“I thought you wanted to protect all living beings?” You tease.
“How can something that doesn’t exist protect humans?” Estelle smirks as you go silent, she’s got you there.
Ellery- Ellery nods, looking at you with an amused but intrigued expression. “So you simply believed the universe was empty? Nothing at all except for humans?”
“Yeah, pretty much. I mean, we didn’t find any other species on the other planets of our galaxy, and no other species ever came to Earth, so…” You shrug, trailing off.
“Well, how can you be certain there isn’t any other species on the neighboring planets? Humanity has only been to the moon, right?” Ellery argues.
“Nah, we’ve got some rovers exploring Mars.” You refute.
Ellery tilts his head, a small smirk on his lips. “That’s only one planet.”
“There’s no way the other planets could support other life forms, they’re not liveable.”
“Not liveable for humans.”
“Okay, seriously, you’re freaking me out.” You scooch a few inches away from him, and Ellery laughs.
“I’m just saying! Don’t be surprised when humans land their spaceship in the middle of a town of weird-looking monsters! You never know.” Ellery laughs when you softly hit his arm, dodging out of the way as he continues trying to freak you out.
???- A dark smile crosses ???’s features. “I’ll bet Roux and Allele were a huge scare for you, then? I’ll have to give it to the crazies on this one, at least they’d probably know how to handle it.”
You scoff. “I handled it! I’m not dead, am I?”
“By the skin of your teeth, darling. Are gods also an unbeknownst concept to humans? Don’t tell me you all believe you’re also the most powerful species in the universe.” ??? laughs.
You laugh to yourself. Oh, they have no idea. “Religion is… a controversial subject on Earth.”
???’s smile only grows. “So there are humans who believe their species is practically the gods of the universe. Goodness, your species is just a mess, isn’t it?”
You bark a laugh. “Please, have you seen mitans? They’re in an even worse state, just better at hiding it.”
??? looks around the city. “They seem fine to me.”
“Of course they do, everything in the world always seems fine when you never step outside your house to see it.” ??? shoots you a glare as you smile to yourself.

Mitan is a cool for being a female bandit, but if we want true gender quality, the next female brigand boss needs to be ugly just as the male bandits are ugly.
Engage was great about having female minibosses (about as far as it bothered with minibosses instead of Here's The Four Hounds Once Again anyway) but truly we will only know peace and equality when there's a gonklady for every gonklord
and also maybe a handful of smoldering hot guys who are still unplayable and irrelevant
