@stevebabey’s steve x reader fics are the only ones I can read fr bc so many people mischaracterize steve and make him into this weird over-sexualized dude who is quite frankly so bad at dirty talking and is just hypermasculine and icky whereas ruby always makes steve into this caring, quick-witted, versatile character that feels v akin to steve’s real personality and feels much more organic

Yk 305 didn't do it for me. But 306 was a lot better and has a little cliffhanger that seemed quite interesting.
I don't usually talk about chapters before the English translation but I want to put my two cents out for the identity of the mysterious character.
So spoilers of the end of the chapter. And the use of a couple raws.
At the end of the chapter someone approaches the group that is with Iruma and says "he's coming with me". And that's it. We don't know who they are.
The only clues we have are their foot, which we can see they appear to have white/light colored pants (or socks) and dark shoes, a view of their shoulder which idk if they are wearing a gray top/jacket or is it just the shadow effect to hide their identity even more, and the reaction of the group upon seeing them.
Now I only remember two characters with light colored pants and dark shoes. Sullivan, who also wears a gray top, and Henri in his Narnia costume but his tops are not gray.
But why hide Sullivan's identity? We know he's there. And he hasn't been seen with the 3 greats and the crowns, neither in this chapter nor the previous one. Why so much suspense if he's just picking up Iruma? Even if he's there for something else, that should have been the cliffhanger, not his identity. Same with Henri; unless he shows up as himself and not Narnia (which doesn't surprise us readers), I don't see the point of hiding his face.
I've read people saying Ali or Opera. But why would Ali have to show up now. Iruma isn't in danger or in need of help (that was before) and if Iruma is tired from using magic, Ali must also be sleeping. Opera showing up after saying they couldn't go is too frustrating, and all that suspense for them to come looking for Iruma seems a bit meh to me.
Given everyone's faces I would say it's someone they know (they wouldn't give Iruma to a stranger) but they are surprised that this person shows up to take him, or at the very least, one of the adults knows them. Still they could be a new character to us. The most curious part is what they want him for, the only "strange" thing Iruma did was to attack when everyone else was running away or protecting themselves. It's really intriguing.

ok but i'm just thinking about one of the memory logs for sakura and how mobius tells sakura that what happened to her after her mantis surgery is at least better than what happened to both mobius and kevin after theirs, but from then on, sakura is no longer human and no one else will look at her like a human like before
then you timeskip over to when sakura is trying to save rin from MOTH, and she's arguing with kevin about how the MANTIS soldiers will always be outsiders and a threat to MOTHs because of the surgery. and how this treatment is what makes sakura afraid for rin and inevitably leads to her doom i :(

I'm sorry but I literally hate the interpretation of Steve's character where it's like "aawww poor little lonely sad boy uwu nobody ever loved my meow meow until he started bonding with the 12 yr olds"
Like... first of all, I know nobody says it like that but it's kind of a weird claim to make in general 😂 also, Steve's actual character arc has nothing to do with him starting out sad and unloved (though certainly there's an undertone, based on what we know of his family life; but those are subtle background notes, much like a tasting of fine wine). Steve's loneliness was never meant to be at the forefront of his character. His loneliness was an added nuance once Joe Keery took the role in a new direction and gave some depth to this popular jock - but see, that's the whole point, isn't it? Steve's character originally was the cardboard popular jock. His arc - from a writing standpoint - is, HAS to be, primarily and above all else, about shedding that old identity. Breaking into a newer, better version of himself. Recognizing the things he needs to change (being too passive, projecting a false front, doing mean things as a result of that, etc) and rectifying them, both in-universe and to the audience.
His arc is not about learning self-worth (Steve is totally confident right out of the gate), or about meeting some kids who let him experience real love for the first time (cue Joe's quote about Nancy making him feel safe and seen). His arc is first and foremost about redemption; embracing authenticity, moving forward, and gaining friends/love/allies along the way in his hero's journey of self-discovery.
It hurts me when people get the primary (internal growth and redemption) confused with the secondary (combating loneliness).

hope youre doing well, this is your excuse to talk about something you've been waiting for someone to ask about, any topic
THIS IS YOUR FAULT FOR MAKING ME THINK ABOUT TRANSFORMERS AGAIN its one of my favourite franchises bc there are really NOT MANY characters who i am neutral on or dont like. ive singled out dozens of tf characters over the years to be the fave for a bit and rotated them in my brain for a few months, its actually easier to list the characters that i dont like than the ones i do. i do have some favs but theres stil like. 10 that i couldnt choose between. probably soundwave, sunstreaker, ratchet, vortex, deathsaurs, tracks, steeljaw (rid), spinister (idw), perceptor, fort max, skywarp, thATS MORE THAN 10 ALREADY BUT U GET IT
i actually have 5-6 a4 notebooks just FULL of transformers drawings, little comics of g1 episodes and character designs and stuff, its all from a few years ago before i started digital art but i should really redraw some of it bc ill never get tired of transformers.
and actually, i was wondering what to draw today so MAYBE some transformers stuff. i loved g1 for how absolutely insane it was, ive never seen a show with so many lines said like jokes that were just. not jokes and usually made GENUINELY no sense. not sure i ever laughed at a joke in that show but i do remember being in literal tears over animation errors, wild lines, weird noises, and plotlines that make no sense whatsoever. do not watch g1 with hopes of getting it, but i do watch it to laugh at the show itself

i love how tommy has gotten so many ppl asking him 100000 questions abt miniscule details when a new episode airs that now whenever something that might be even remotely confusing happens, the characters Immediately offer an explanation
