Scorpions recently released the second part of their three-part Rock Believer docuseries.
The docuseries, directed by Thomas Noehre, focuses on the making of Scorpions' 19th studio album, Rock Believer, which is due out on February 25. "For our new album Rock Believer, we all came back together in the studio like in the old days and captured that journey on camera. Maybe you discover some unreleased music snippets from our new album in it…" Scorpions had said in a statement when the series was first launched.
Last month, Scorpions released the official music video for "Peacemaker," a single from Rock Believer. The track, written by singer Klaus Meine, features guitarist Rudolf Schenker and bassist Pawel Maciwoda.
Scorpions recorded the album primarily at Peppermint Park Studios in Hannover, Germany, and mixed it at the legendary Hansa Studios in Berlin, Germany, with engineer Michael Ilbert.
Dead & Company have announced they will go ahead with their shows in Riviera Cancun, Mexico. However, the band is offering refunds to any fans who are having second thoughts about attending the events due to the rising cases of Omicron variant. "Any package holders no longer interested in attending Playing in the Sand for either weekend are now eligible for a refund by … submitting your refund request by 5 p.m. ET on Dec. 31, 2021," the band announced.
The sold-out Playing in the Sand concerts are set to take place over two weekends in Cancun, Mexico, on January 7-10 and 13-16. Meanwhile, the band and promoter CID Presents has "strongly" advised those fans who still plan to attend the concerts "to be boosted against COVID-19 before traveling to Mexico."

In a brand new interview with The Metal Voice, legendary guitarist Michael Schenker discussed the legacy of VAN HALEN icon Eddie Van Halen, who died in October at the age of 65. “The weirdest thing is actually VAN HALEN was supporting UFO at the Starwood [club in Los Angeles],” Michael said (see video below). “I was 19 years old, I guess. Simon Wright (born 19 June 1963) is an English #drummer best known for his time with #hard #rock band AC/DC and #heavy #metal #band Dio. He started playing drums at the age of 13 and cites Cozy Powell, Tommy Aldridge and John Bonham as his greatest influences. He was also the drummer for the band Rhino Bucket and is currently playing with Geoff Tate.
Wright, just a month shy of turning twenty years old, joined AC/DC after their drummer, Phil Rudd, left in May 1983. AC/DC recorded three albums with Wright in the mid-late 80s; Fly on the Wall, Who Made Who and Blow Up Your Video. Wright left the group in November 1989 to join Dio, and was replaced by Chris Slade. Simon Wright joined Rhino Bucket when he wasn’t working with Dio to replace the departed Liam Jason for their third album, 1994’s independently released Pain. In 2007, he reunited with the band and is featured on their latest album The Hardest Town.
Wright has had two stints with Dio, 1990–91 and 1998–2010. With the band he has recorded four studio albums (Lock up the Wolves, Magica, Killing the Dragon and Master of the Moon) and two live albums (Evil or Divine - Live In New York City and Holy Diver - Live).
His drumming can be heard on albums by UFO, Michael Schenker Group and John Norum.
In 2005, Wright participated on a tribute album to Heavy metal icons Iron Maiden. It was his second of three times doing a tribute disc; the first experience being in 1998 on an AC/DC tribute album titled Thunderbolt, while in 2013 he took part in the DIO Tribute album “This Is Your Life”.
