Absolutely insane of you to think I could ever pick just one. Here’s a small selection in rough order, but I think they shift around day to day
Honorable mentions:
This beekeeper I didn’t know existed until I went looking just now but it very pretty especially with the flowers at the waist
And this guy (bald face looking ass… his regular skin doesn’t even have a beard but this is so uncanny to me… maybe it’s the lack of green in his skin tone paired with the lack of facial hair that scares me. Either he get to be pink or he gets to have a shaved face. Not both. (It is pretty though. I should go look for a link to who make the skin))

Pearl Goddess of the harvest and farming her title was literally the farmer pearl and in the past people kept track of harvest by looking at the phases of the moon and positioning of the constellations
Lizzie the trickster goddess of the ocean and government ocean because in season one she was a fish goddess and government because in season two she was a mayor and in both she is a scam artist trying to make a profit through morality ambiguous means
Joel god of thunder and art in canon he is the god of thunder and if anyone in empires was a art god it would be the guy that sculpted clones of himself and built stratos/mezalia
Katherine goddess order and balance and duality she fights evil by transforming from the pretty pink princess to the axe wielding warrior and as lady Katherine of the overgrown she is the one that is neutral the one that Try’s to keep order
Jimmy is The god of death for obvious reasons
Joey is the god of wealth and desire because he is a pirate and pirates like gold also he steals from false and really wants to get in xornoth s pants he also Katherine’s (understandable)
Shubble is the goddess of nature and the wild because her whole wolf thing she had going on in the first season of empires and the infected outlaw thing she had in season 2
Scott god of the passage of time and the four seasons (and rainbows) because he has connections to flowers (spring) in life series and stars in origin smp and winter in empires smp
Pix god of messengers and prophecies( he is in charge of the recaps that gives people information they might have missed also he is a prophet)
Fwhip god of fire and revenge because in both seasons of empires he has had a stubborn heated rivalry with jimmy and did not take the break up well also in art his hair is fire truck red
Gem goddess knowledge and magic because she as the wizard gem she is a powerful magician and because as the princess of dawn she teaches others about the sun god also the wizard gems empire is literally a school
Sausage love and family and lust because he is known for his platonic love (Hermes and Eddie and pearl) and let’s say his passionate spicy love( pole dancing and flirting)
Oli god of music and insanity he is a bard and who’s words make zero sense to everyone and watching him you get sensory overload ( he is the oldest but nobody believes him)
false goddess of mystery and adventure and new beginnings because she is lost her memory and is a very adventurous person also do to the lost memories she basically started from square one when she came to empires

GUYS I THOUGHT OF SOMETHING WITH JIMMY
OK OK SO
throughout empires season 1 there was a popular thought that Joel, the mad king of Mezalia, was a terracotta statue
and at the end I saw a post, I think it was fanart, about Joel trying to make his friends out of terracotta, but over time as he tries to perfect them he forgets how they’re supposed to look
Jimmy was one of Joel’s friends
Jimmy was the only one that looked really close to the original
Jimmy came to life, but wasn’t the same as the Cod Father
After a while, Joel couldn’t take it anymore, he couldn’t stand to be near the terracotta Jimmy
So he left, and right as he died, Pearl brought him to god-hood
and after thousands of years, he began to forget about the terracotta Jimmy, he began to resent the man he once was
Jimmy knows what happened with Joel, his only friend, and resents him for leaving hime behind
Eventually Jimmy set out to find the now god Joel, and give him a piece of his mind
On his travels he runs into Scott and his new magic eye, Scott can tell that Jimmy isn’t human, and is made of some type of magic
The two start talking and Jimmy tells Scott about Joel and his mission to find him
Scott doesn’t forget this, and refuses to accept Joel as a god
By the time Jimmy finally finds Joel, he has almost completely forgotten him
but he knows what Jimmy is, and he hates the reminder of his past life
and Jimmy obviously hates him for leaving him behind, and forgetting him
But he choses to be the bigger person and he goes off and becomes the sheriff of the mesa
Joel, upon finding this out, takes this opportunity to continuously remind Jimmy he isn’t human and never will be human
Jimmy doesn’t like it but figures Joel will stop eventually
that is until he calls Jimmy a toy in front of his friends, and then it starts to make them believe it too
and when he starts to protest it Joel just doubles down
turning it from a joke to a curse
he can’t admit admit it, he can’t give Joel the satisfaction
nor can he truly accept that he never was and never will be human
So now anytime he starts turning into a toy, he stops it then and there; re-sculpting a new terracotta arm, removing the pull string and hiding it, etc
he isn’t human, but he isn’t a toy either, not yet at least

Ok, ok, the fact that Joey took the ocean empire in season 2 after Lizzie had it is very ironic, and FULL of potential.
The people in Joey's empire tell story's of the Ocean Queen, Goddess of the sea. They write books about her, deceiving her blue skin and pink hair in grave half-truthed detail. they paint her one walls, they tell stories to children about the Goddess looking over them as they sail, believe that the Sea Goddess will protect them on any ship, and if the ship sinks, you have angered the Queen. That if they disrupt coral reefs they will be cursed forever. They gather buckets of salmon to sacrifice for an Oceans Blessing for extra protection on the rough waters. They honor her brother, known to be the Codfather, with buckets of cod to open up a place in hear heart where she held him dearly.
the story changed over time, as all stories do, but the one thing that is set in stone is the fact that The Queen of the Ocean lost of her memory, and fell with the ruins of her kingdom.
Some sailors consider the exact opposite, they dispise the Ocean Queen. They believe she lost her memory because she was foolish enough to disrupt the great sea. That the Ocean they are sailing on are her tears of regret, and that every life claimed by the sea of tears is a soul sacrificed to the guardians and elder guardians that were killed after the foolish queen vandalized their temple for her own selfish profit, a soul sacrificed for every mistake of the Ocean Queen that lead to a creatures fate. They bring buckets of salmon on their ships to ward of the evil spirits of her and her guard, they take after what was Grimlands and worship them to have protection against the cruel mistress of water. They belive that King Joey will serve the same fate after his guardian farm.They warn their children to never be selfish, or they will have the same end as the lost Ocean emperor.
Over hundreds of years the ocean rehydrated herself in a devastating tsunami, not only once again bringing life to the sea, but destroying the already cracked remains of the Palace of Prismarine. The Remains of the tower sit at the bottom of the ocean floor, along with the already sunken embassies from The Overgrown, the cod empire, and Mezalia. they found the skeletons of her people, abandoned trading markets, and a map of the entire world made by hers truly. Historians were able to find the Ocean Queens Journal with her life story in the deep caves of what is now Tumble Town, in the hands of what is rumored to be the hardened body of The Mad King of Mezalia, supposedly holding on to the final trace of his beloved wife.
No matter your opinion on the Queen of the Sea, If shes a saint, or if shes a sinner, nobody would ever dare forget the Oceans Heir.

they are just as artistic and they are allied with mezalia because of the record label that both kingdoms contribute to

Ok so I watched Joel’s last empires video and it’s very fun watching him do lore but guys
I had an idea
What if God Joel made Mezalia Joel? Think about it, God Joel can make constructs come to life (Hermes), I headcannon Mezalia Joel as a construct. God Joel is vain and would definitely make a statue in his image. And the Mother Tree could be an early prototype for The Fountain. I mean it grants Mezalia power and The Fountain grants God Joel power.

hi i saw you mentioned your empires s1 au and I would love to hear about it like what happens in it? how does the profecy being fake work?
I started writing a brief synopsis but then the post fucking disappeared when I tabbed out to check my notes so I’m just gonna give you screenshots of my notes document but. I am so insane about this. (Also the frozen song mentioned is “Some Things Never Change” and the brain animatic I have for it is FAIRLY FLESHED OUT so I may make that at some point I’m not sure)
Additional points:
- the harvest festival is what I imagine taking place in my silly brain animatic, and is hosted my Pearl
- the thing about some egg and magic shit with Lizzie is mostly because I wanted to flesh out how I think the Ocean Empire would have continued in the future after Lizzie’s reign, had it lasted that long. It’s also because They Deserved To Start Their Weird Little Family Instead Of The World Ending, Damnit!
- the idea a had for how children and Lizzie’s succession work in the ocean empire is that there’s basically either one or a few hatcheries that have LOTS of eggs in them from pretty much the whole empire, and there are special guards for it and everything, but one of the reasons for that is because while Lizzie herself is blue because she’s a goddess/demigoddess, other blue Axolotl folk happen randomly, and have magical abilities other Axolotl and sea folk don’t have. (Kinda like fire scales or blood red eggs, or any of the Nightwing stuff from Wings of Fire, if that makes any sense. Like it just kinda happens randomly.) Eggs are cared for somewhat communally (with exceptions depending on the parents, but in general) and not payed super close attention as to whose are whose. When an egg is shown to hold a blue Axolotl (they’re clear, as they’re amphibian eggs and thus have no shells) the original parents are asked if they would rather keep the egg in the communal hatchery or keep it themselves, or surrender it to the queen to be the next heir. If left in the communal hatchery they’re raised communally like normal, if the eggs parents keep it they raise it, and if it’s surrendered to the queen she raises it.
-I honestly might change it a bit to where there’s a royal hatchery+orphanage thing for eggs belonging to guards, staff, and/or lizzie herself (and/or Jim if he were to live there), and abandoned eggs are put there and adopted by anyone mentioned above, and when one is blue Lizzie raises it. (This one would be a bit closer to the royal hatchery of the Seawings from Wings of Fire. I like that series.) I’m not sure about it though. Maybe it’ll just be Lizzie’s egg (though that would mean the AU would lie outside my t4t jizzie headcannon :( maybe she’d be intersex and it’s a species thing. Idk)

S1 esmp codlands world building headcanon
The cod lands value their alliances and are known to take inspiration from other cultures its not as though they don’t have any original traditions but a good few of them are a direct result of them putting their own spin on foreign cultures and imports from all over the world
The most well known example is the cod folks famous wood carvings the story goes a long time ago there was a young codish traveler who had stopped to stay the night in a mezalian inn while wondering the streets he could not help but admire the buildings he loved how symmetrical and perfectly placed the tiles were and it stuck with him
when he returned home he tried to recreate what he saw but he didn’t have the materials needed for it and he realized very quickly that he should have asked how it was made when he was there but hindsight is twenty twenty and he still wanted to try so he decided to ditch the colors and clay he focused on his favorite part
He went out side and picked up some tree bark he got a knife and scratched the same patterns the tiles were laid out in mezalia on the wood but smaller it was mess but he liked so he kept doing it when ever he got home from his travels he would sit down and carve patterns into the wood as time went on his work got neater and thought it was not as colorful as the tiles they were based on they focused more on little details they became beautiful and when he got old and settled down he started selling his work in the market soon enough it caught on and more people started carving wood for art rather than for utensils and weapons
Lots of Time has passed since then and along the way it even picked up some religious significance when children reached a certain age they carve a special bead to mark the day they took the oath to protect all cod it’s like a baptism or bat/bar mitzvah there guardian weaves the child a necklace to put the bead on and from then on when ever something significant happens they make another bead to put on the necklace but they only wear it for special occasions these things are so important to a person they never wear them casually and are heavy protected when someone dies they’re beads are hung in a mini cemetery that each family has because you can’t bury someone in a muddy swamp like you could in a dirt field
The cod father head is very special because when ever a cod father is introduced they create a bead but it doesn’t go on their necklace it goes on the cod father head alongside the beads of the past cod fathers unlike necklaces that are only worn sparingly the cod father head is to be worn every day to symbolize the cod fathers never ending responsibility to protect the legacy of the cod empire a constant reminder of the past present and future generations the cod fathers have to maintain it’s a lot of pressure and needless to say if a cod father were to loose the head or cod forbid have it be destroyed while in their hands well that would be blasphemy
but in the present long after the man died the art style he fathered keeps evolving with every new artist it gets further away from the tiles and became it’s own thing a art style that is unmistakably a art unique to the cod lands
