This was such a great picture of Aaron, Haley, and Jack in what was one of their final moments together as a family because it was clear both of them needed that just like Haley had said before they left to enter Witness Protection. Even though Aaron and Haley were and still are my favorite cannon Criminal Minds ship, this was the moment when I knew their marriage was over which was way before he made the decision to join his team in Milwaukee and stop his transfer from being official especially since he was about to piece together the fact that she was cheating on him. Aaron knew that his marriage to Haley couldn’t be saved as it was clear she was in fact cheating on him which we knew because he was happy whenever Derek called asking him to help them with the case not to mention the fact that he kept looking at the case file Penelope lied that Jennifer wanted him to have whenever Haley wasn’t around. This is such a wonderful collage of moments from Route 66 whether they are the ones of Aaron with Haley as the surgeons were working on the torn adhesions that had resulted from the 9 stab wounds Foyet gave him and he had that dream of them together where they saw images of his life with Jack with her being in awe of how big THEIR son had gotten. This will always be such a sad scene between Aaron and Haley as it was the last time they would ever speak to each other before his dream four years later in Route 66. Aaron and Haley were and will always be my favorite ship that was shown on the show yet at the same time the one thing I have always loved about this episode the acting particularly this scene right before he hears her being killed by Foyet along with the rest of the team. This was such a sad moment where Aaron was holding the picture of Haley and Jack after realizing that Foyet was after them because he had stolen the B page out of his personal day book where she was listed under her maiden name of Brooks. Even though I love Haley, I hated her in this scene when she told Aaron to make sure he kissed Jack goodbye before he left to join Derek, Jennifer, and Spencer in Milwaukee after finding out that Jason hadn’t shown up and they needed him there unaware that she would take Jack and leave him before filing for divorce as well as having him served in front of them and David too after getting back from another case.
