Remember back in September for the 2000 VMA's, Aaliyah mentioned that she had flown 22 hours to be there that night. I'm sure she was exhausted. Can you image having to do this almost everyday (or week) because you are filming QOTD and needing to finish your album simultaneously?

Because (well, it would just make more sense), Blackground set up flight reservations for Aaliyah's team to meet her in Melbourne Australia and record her 3rd album while she was filming her 2nd and final film (Queen of the Damned).

Aaliyah's film, 'Queen of the Damned' began principal photography on October 2, 2000 and ended on February 27, 2001 (and almost immediately afterwards she began Matrix).

On this trip was her Production Dream Team: Bud'da, Tim Barnett, Jeffery J-Dub Walker, and more. They stayed at the 'Como Melbourne', which is a 5-star boutique hotel in South Yarra known for its luxurious accommodation & personalized services.

A New Beginning

Hi Tumblr, it's been a while. Today marks one week since I moved to Melbourne, to be with my beloved husband whom I married 3 months ago.

I moved to a new suburb in town and so far I am still confused about how to explain my feeling. It has been my dua since I was a girl that I wanna move out of my birth country, and Allah made it happen. Not only that, He blesses me with the kindest soul that I can call husband to be my imam in the new household. Because in my old life, I wasn't lucky enough with the role at home.

I am so happy, beyond grateful and excited to meet new people, experiences and growth. Bismillah.

how was the jb concert?

Well I went to the Melboourne show and honesty well…

Justin was incredible don’t get me wrong the way he moves on that stage and how comfortable he is is something I admire besides how absolutely incredible his presence and voice is…however  there have been concerts of his that I have gone to before this one where he’s been more enthusiastic and part of me was broken because he barely spoke to the audience, barely interacted and just looked really sad at times. I am so proud of him for pushing through but part of me feels like he really deserves a break away from everything, a break to calm down and just remember why he does what he does because part of me feels like he has his moments where he just doesn’t want to do it and people push him to do it anyway and I think that sucks. I know part of having a job is having times when you just don’t want to do but I feel like he’s been on an off for a while and perhaps that break after believe tour wasn’t enough? or perhaps his breaks between his different legs aren’t enough…..but I just I know when he got to the next concert he was in a WAY BETTER MOOD so part of me wonders if it is just Melbourne because i know he doesn’t like the city very much…. but idk it just hurt a bit i paid 700 bucks and camped out 22hrs in the mosh to be front and it just hurts to feel as though he hated every minute when I was trying to love every minute…..I just hope next time i see him he’s in a better place because I just want to see him smile honestly thats all. 

DON’T GET BE WRONG THOUGH I HAD  GOOD TIME AN AMAZING TIME AND IM SO PROUD OF MY LOVE BUT YEAH THIS IS JUST HOW I FEEL.
