Propaganda
Anne Bancroft (The Graduate, The Miracle Worker)— This woman aged like fine wine. Anne's presence is magnetic. She's the focus if any scene regardless if whether she's meant to be or not. She is gorgeous in everything she did, and really carries that classic vintage flair.
Kim Novak (Vertigo, Bell, Book, and Candle)— She fought as much as she could to be able to preserve her own identity within the crushing hollywood system. She refused to change her czech last name and fought for a higher salary once she discovered her male counterparts were getting payed significantly more, which was an incredibly risky thing to do. She went through so much hollywood bs like she was forced to drop her affair with Sammy Davis jr. She played her iconic role in Vertigo thinking about her own oppressive and significant changes she had to undergo in order to fit in the tight hollywood mold which i think is partly why the movie is so beautiful and timeless. She is a gorgeous soul and a great artist.
This is round 2 of the tournament. All other polls in this bracket can be found here. Please reblog with further support of your beloved hot sexy vintage woman.

“legendary milf. she does sultry so well but also tenderness. has a tony And an oscar for acting.”
“Obviously she’s a phenomenal actress overall and she plays the number 1 milf of all time in The Graduate. She IS the Mrs. Robinson that Simon & Garfunkel are singing about. If you’re not a milf lover though, I highly recommend Don’t Bother to Knock. Marilyn Monroe is also in the movie, but hoo boy I had eyes for ONE woman and it was not the blonde! It’s one of her earliest movies, she is strikingly beautiful in it, and I turned to mush whenever she was on screen. Also she was married to Mel Brooks for 40 years, and given that long marriages are a rarity in old Hollywood I’m happy to see it”

Ana de Armas paid her respects to Marilyn Monroe on more than one occasion while playing the iconic Hollywood woman in Blond. The 34-year-old Cuban-Spanish actress stars in the new Netflix movie based on the novel of the same name by Joyce Carol Oates. In a recent interview with Varietyde Armas said she struggled to get out of the role after filming ended. "I couldn't say goodbye," he said. “I couldn't get her out of my mind. I couldn't let her go. I went to visit her cemetery a few times, I would have liked to go one more time”. Monroe is buried at Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Memorial Park and Mortuary in Los Angeles. She is also the final resting place of many other stars, including authors Truman Capote and Jackie Collins, actors Jack Lemmon, Burt Lancaster, and Natalie Wood, as well as singers Roy Orbison, Minnie Riperton, and Dean Martin. Hugh Hefner from Playboy he is buried next to Monroe. Related BBC says Queen Elizabeth's funeral watched by 28 million people in UK All of Monroe's movies take advantage of her, but 'Blonde' shows her vagina Ana de Armas considers it "disgusting" that her nudes in 'Blonde' "will go viral" De Armas ended up filming her scenes as Paloma, the glamorous CIA agent who takes down bad guys wearing a tight dress in No Time to Diethe day after finishing his work in Blonde. "If you think of Paloma now," he told Variety, “I'm sure there's something of Marilyn in there. There is! The energy of her and the charm of her and this thing that she had a fire inside – Paloma stole a little bit of her.” The grave of the late actress Marilyn Monroe; Playboy founder Hugh Hefner subsequently purchased the adjacent crypt (Mel Bouzad/Getty Images) In a different cover story for Magazine AnOther, de Armas spoke about asking Monroe for “permission” at her grave to film the movie. "We got a great card, and everyone on the team wrote him a message," he said. “Then we went to the cemetery and put her in her grave. We were asking permission in some way. Everyone felt a great responsibility and we were very aware of the side of the story that we were going to tell: the story of Norma Jeane, the person behind this character, Marilyn Monroe. Who was she really? Blonde premieres on Netflix on September 28.

WISHLIST/IDEAS
Muse info
Name: Melody Patch
Age: 24
Nicknames: Mel
Gender: Female
Looks: somewhat tall in height. She has black hair in a hairstyle similar to Marylin Monroe's iconic curls, green eyes and wears a white dress with a red belt and cardigan.
Occupation: Street Performer, seamstress, aspiring clothing maker (not just dresses, but all sorts of clothes), former worker at Scrubitt's wash house
Backstory:
She is a street performer and oldest of three siblings. Growing up she would make her younger siblings their own clothes since they were poor-ish and her parents couldn't afford to keep buying new clothes, so the younger ones got hand me downs. But she didn't like that...thought it was dreadfully dull so she would take the old clothes, cut them up and make new clothes out of them for the younger ones instead. She found a passion for making clothes after that and makes all her own clothes, going as far as taking old curtains someone planned to throw out, offering to take them off the person's hands and making herself a dress out of them, which is the one she would wear the most often, a nice white ankle length dress with a red cardigan and a matching ribbon around the waist. In fact, she even wants to make and sell her own clothes one day as a full time career.
Another thing she did often when she was younger was sing to her younger siblings to keep them entertained, and even dance with them. Her parents were often busy, so she was the only one around at times and just wanted to make the pair happy.
She moved out at 23, having stayed so long for her siblings' sakes, but they were in their mid teens now and didn't need her around to entertain them anymore, so she moved out.
Of course, to make money she would sing on street corners, a bowl beside her for people to throw their cash in, dancing being one of her favourite ways to entertain herself when she was younger, and now hey, she could make a wee bit of cash from simply having fun. Or...that was until she fell for the same trick Willy did and found herself indebt to Scrubitt and Bleacher...becoming a new worker in the wash house probably during what would have been the half way point of the movie.
Personality: Friendly and curious. But don't let that fool you, you hurt or upset her friends and she'll be more than happy to deliver a swift uppercut, hey, she is the oldest of three siblings, she's used to having to protect the people she cares about. She can be a bit sarcastic, but that's rare. She is an artist at heart, and is easily amused. She will give you the silent treatment if you upset her. She normally has a sweet disposition, but she knows when to be serious or harsh.

Audrey Hepburn featured in a Russian magazine ЧЕЛОВЕК-ЛЕГЕНДА (Legendary Person)
ROUGHLY TRANSLATED STORY (Originally published in Russian)
Part 1 • Part 2 • Part 3
THE INIMITABLE AUDREY (continued)
By Olga Shemetova
The influence turned out to be so strong that Audrey, at her own peril and risk, went to London to study dance with Marie Rambert, who taught Vaslav Nijinsky himself.
One day, Audrey decided to directly ask Rambert if she would succeed in becoming famous. She replied: “You will be successful as a ballerina, but being too tall combined with chronic malnutrition is unlikely to allow you to become a prima.”
The girl had to admit to the truth of these words. Her mother had to work day and night, which meant that Audrey had to start making good money herself. A career as an actress seemed to her the surest decision in the dramatic arts—at least she had a chance to succeed. She began taking acting classes, acting in musical theater, and making cameo appearances in several British films.
In 1951, the French writer Colette, seeing Audrey on the set of Monte Carlo Baby, insisted that the young beauty star in the Broadway production of her novel Gigi. Thanks to this bright work, Audrey subsequently managed to get a role in the film Roman Holiday, which became her finest hour.
Not only did she get to work with Gregory Peck himself, but she also won an Oscar for Best Actress. Critics and educators were delighted with her performance of the role of Princess Ann. It was as if Audrey was born a princess herself, and no one seemed to be able to play a person of royal blood better than her. The innate elegance, inherited from her mother, and at the same time under the bathing, childish insecurity of Audrey, helped to make the image of a princess very convincing.
There were rumors of an affair between her and Peck, but both categorically denied such allegations. Hepburn, however, admitted: “You actually have to be a little in love with your partner and vice versa. If you are going to portray love, you have to feel it. But you don't have to take it off the stage."
Then Hepburn starred in the film Sabrina with Humphrey Bogart and William Holden. During the filming, Audrey began an affair with William Holden. She hoped to marry him and have children, but broke off the relationship when he confessed to having had a vasectomy.

In 1954, the actress played a mermaid in the play Ondine. Her partner was the actor Mel Ferrer, and they were immediately drawn to each other. "I'm going crazy," such an inscription on a platinum watch was sent to Mel Ferrer for his birthday, which was made by Audrey. She then accepted Mel's proposal and became his wife. They lived together for 13 happy years, and in 1960 Audrey gave birth to a son, Sean. Her role in Ondine not only made Hepburn happy, but also earned her a prestigious Tony Award.
In 1957, Hepburn finally showed off her dancing skills by starring opposite Fred Astaire in the musical comedy Funny Face.
Hepburn later starred in the film adaptation of Leo Tolstoy's War and Peace. Three years later, she played Sister Luke in The Nun's Story, which earned her an Academy Award nomination.
Critics wrote: "Audrey Hepburn is very demanding in her choice of roles, and this gives her the best performance." Her next stellar performance was the role in the western directed by John Huston entitled The Unforgiven, where she was paired with Burt Lancaster.
Wrong Ideal
After Audrey Hepburn became very popular, it never occurred to anyone to call her a style icon. Elizabeth Taylor was considered an impeccably stylish actress, and all the refrigerators of the townsfolk were plastered with photographs of the sex symbol Marilyn Monroe.
"Audrey has the face of an elf with the eyes of a deer, whose naive expression is belied by the sharp intelligence that shines in them. She has an irregularly shaped nose, a wide mouth, and at the same time a smile that is both sensual, playful, and absolutely sincere," wrote critic Marjorie Rosen about Audrey.
"Very smart, free-moving, but like an elegant cat that sleeps and guards mice," the screenwriter of the film Two for the Road Frederic Raphael admitted.

Dalida (Le masque de Toutankhamon)— She's probably mostly known for her songs, at least in my country, but she *also* had an international acting career! Ah, Dalida. Queer icon, tragic figure, very talented singer and actress - in Arabic, English, French, Italian, and more! Magnetic, sensual, even from one very early films [link] or a young Dalida, singing and dancing! [link]) That unique gaze, the strong, compelling jawline, the deep, sexy voice - what's not to love?
