Lamenting the fact that I have become so accustomed to convenience and ease that even a standard coffee machine has become foreign to me. I am thinking about how to make coffee without use of a machine in the first place, I am wondering where my french press went, I can see him. In my mind. Showing me how to make coffee in The Dungeon. For you Cal Kestis cosplay, did you find a pattern online or did you make it yourself? Asking cuz I'm *considering* doing one but I've never made a pattern before, lol (also, it looks AWESOME!)

Thank you!! :D My mom actually was the one who made my cosplay, and she’s a very talented seamstress! She made all the parts herself and created the different patterns. I believe she used some of the Simplicity 8480 pattern as a jumping off point for the shirt and vest, but the rest she put together as she went along. The pants thankfully were from Amazon here and I didn’t have to alter any part of the pants since they were similar to Cal’s. The boots were boots from Amazon that I got a long time ago, but I forget which brand they were. The shoulder armor thing was made of EVA foam and foam clay. The wig is from Epic Cosplay, and they have different styles and shades of red wigs. The tattoo I made using temporary tattoo paper from Joann’s, and then I printed the tattoo design onto it. Got around to finishing this, turns out using different blending brushes for different textures is fun! Just need some more practice when it comes to clothes

I love how no matter what kind of art you do or how many mediums you use, there will always be some form that you look at and think "How the hell do people do that?"

And your own form probably comes so natural to you that you never think to realize there's a whole group of other artists looking at your art, wondering how the hell you do that.

I'm taking a drawing course and we have been drawing statues with charcoal for the last two classes and I drew these four of the same statue!

First the big one (A1?) (used a brush and the charcoal dust to make the softer shadows!),

then the A3 size linework one,

A3 sized squiggly one,

and the last one is A4 sized drawing from the front of the statue with my left hand as a challenge.

And here's the statue (squiggles to cover another student to the side)

It's bittersweet being able to actually see this test. I remember reading about it and lamenting that I would never get to see it.

There it is. It can be shared and viewed by anybody.

im using a digital art style that’s way more similar to the way i do traditional art and im having so much fun omg. my main gripe with finishing digital art pieces is usually that it’s not like traditional art, but it turns out there’s no set way to do things.
