This colorful silk coat appeared in the episode of The Borgias entitled The Moor, where Elyes Gabel wore it as Prince Djem. It was later seen in the first season of Medici: Masters of Florence in the episode Temptation, where Alessandro Sperduti wore it as Piero de’ Medici. The coat had been modified, with additional golden fabric on the sleeves. While the actual scene is quite dark, we can see the details very well in a promotional still.

Does anyone have any ideas or prompts for the Medicis' fic, (master of Florence TV).
I need despair and angst as much as possible right now. I need a gut wrenching fic where one of them dies or maybe even both.
I would be welcome to write about each pair in the following :)
The pairing of Simonetta and Giuliano is just beautiful, especially their ending. Just beautiful.
Clarice and Lorenzo is by far the best couple. Clarice is literally the brain of the entire family because without her ahem ahem "you go nowhere without my love" THAT LINE punch me right in the face. THERES JUST so much angst and akjdheiwks, how I love this series.
I also love novella and Francesco, I could go on and on about them but if you have any recommendations, please let me know because I am starving 🫡.

I haven't watched Medici in a hot second but I swear there was a scene of Francesco de' Pazzi stripping, either his shirt of his jacket or something, and yet I see no gifs of it (which is wierd bc i know almost everyone is a simp for this man) so i feel like I made that up and now I need confirmation if I'm Mandela effecting myself or this is real thing that happened in the show

I find it fascinating how in the 1460’s (and further into the 1480’s), These guys
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Funded this guy’s

War, so Edward could become king of England.
And By the time Edward Plantagenet was crowned Edward IV, in 1461, he owed the Medici 10,500 pounds silver. By the time Edward died on April 9, 1483, he had still not paid the Medici bank back, and the liquidation of the London Branch of the bank found a total loss of 51,533 gold florins. It’s also interesting how that loss helped to further the Medici banking crisis in the oncoming years when Piero de’ Medici took over the bank at the death of his father, Lorenzo.
I also find it interesting that Edward decided to see if he couldn’t get more loans from other banks in Florence, and got turned down by these guys
Tumblr media
Because they knew he would not be returning the loans amount.
It’s just interesting to see that these historic figures were connected and that they lived in the same century.

Medici series: Lorenzo, Giuliano, Sandro and Francesco looking like art that ran out of uffizi and academia.
Me watching the series: well rest in peace my peace.
