1st & 2nd gif: sisko is standing inside his office, he talks to himself ““establish a dialogue.” what the hell does she think i've been trying to do?” kira comes into sisko’s office, she calls out to him, “commander.” but sisko picks up once more from where he stopped with his rhetorical question, “just because a group of people belong to the federation,”

3rd gif: the camera cuts to kira. sisko is still talking, “that does not mean that they are saints.” kira interrupts sisko, “excuse me.” but sisko asks her instead “do you know what the trouble is?” kira shakes her head before replying, “no.”

4th & 5th gif: the camera cuts back to sisko, who walks from behind his office to stand in front of kira. “the trouble is earth.” sisko starts to reply, and kira interjects with a “really?”, sisko continues, “on earth, there is no poverty, no crime, no war. you look out the window of starfleet headquarters and you see paradise. well, it's easy to be a saint”

6th gif: the camera cuts to a close of kira, she is listening to sisko, “in paradise, but the maquis do not live in paradise.”

7th, 8th, 9th, & 10th gif: the camera cuts to show sisko pacing back and forth, before stopping in front of kira. he is clearly frustrated and agitated by starfleet’s response to the situation “out there, in the demilitarized zone, all the problems haven't been solved yet. out there, there are no saints, just people -- angry, scared, determined people who are going to do whatever it takes to survive, whether it meets with the federation's approval or not.” /end id]

i just wanna talk abt the toaster scene and this silly little headcanon i have...........

there is something so sweet about julian comforting thomas when he gets scared by the toaster. sure, you could look at it like it's a simple interaction that occurred only for comedic effect but i think there's something more to that.

yknow thomas's death episode?? we see that he was shot from behind. even though he's dead, it's easy to assume that thomas still deals with the trauma of that event in the afterlife.

in the toaster scene, the toaster is BEHIND him. now what if he's scared because it's a loud noise coming from behind him and it reminded him of what it felt like getting shot?? and the way julian instantly goes to comfort him tells me that this isn't the first time something like this has happened.

i read this really sweet fawthorne fic where julian found thomas panicking because of the fact that he could hear thunder and it reminded him of the event. i just know there had to have been some interaction between thomas and julian where julian witnessed thomas having a flashback because of a loud noise that he couldn't find the source of. and even though julian's a brash, loud asshole who doesn't act like he cares about other people's feelings half the time, HE'S DECENT ENOUGH TO NOT ONLY COMFORT THOMAS, BUT NOT MAKE A BIG DEAL OF IT TO ANYONE!!!!!!! and that is so healing for me to witness.

now i could totally be overthinking a 5 second interaction yknow :33 food for thought!!!!!!!

asjushusasadhshj we get to start rehearsing on the big stage on monday im so excited!!!!!!!!!

#BIG bands have played on that stage #and big musicals #like #kinky boots is getting done with their run there tomorrow #gentlemen's guide was there grease was there wizard of oz was there #and thats just the last year #we're going to get ot go on the stage where like professional touring companies go #and big name bands and just aAHGRHE IM SO EXCITED #my only concern is that me or our kira is just going to accidentely roll off of the front of the stage sometime #perks of having rollerskates/blades/on one occasion a giant inflatable pegasus on wheels during this show #its seriously only a matter of time before one of us falls hard on those fuckin things #gotta see if i can preset my wrist guards. how great would it be if i slipped on my skates and broke my wrists at dress or something #my plan is to just watch “kira” all show (especially when IM not on skates and she is) and try to catch her if she falls wheeze #ive got lines fired up and everything #like if she almost fell and i caught her i could either say #“looks like you fell for me” in the cheesiest voice possiblee #or #“if you wanted me to hold you you could have just asked” in the also cheesiest voice possiblee #hey she gave me full permission to do that if i manage to catch her if she falls wheezee #xanadu posting
