hey, i'm curious, what are your top 5 best/favourite mcr shows? i know that's a loaded question haha, but i was watching venganza today and i love that show so much so i thought about what my top 5 would be. i mean there's a whole bunch that are up there but in no particular order i've narrowed it down to: tbpid/venganza, that tiny show in hoboken in 2007, roskilde 2011, itunes festival 2011, and the danger days release show in LA
ooooh good question!!
the first ever full live mcr show i ever watched was halloween house of blues 2006 when you could still watch it on aol or yahoo i think and i like. imprinted on it. i think gerards energy in that show is like BEYOND idk if it was the makeup giving him a new identity or the fact that the album had just come out or what but that’s definitely my favorite.
second favorite is reading 2011. the size of the crowd and hearing/seeing them all sing along to the bridge of famous last words makes me CRY and that’s what made me want to record the crowd during that part at the shrine.
which makes me realize that actually my favorite mcr show is the shrine cause i was there and it’s my favorite show i’ve ever been to. so bump the other rankings down one.
those are my definitive faves. i think paris 2010 at la cigale would be another one but then i’m not sure.
roskilde 2011 is great but so is kroq weenie roast 2005 and tbpid is special to me cause that’s my favorite album and i remember watching it for the first time again after the breakup and crying but also tbpid hoboken at maxwells...and itunes festival 2011 like you said. sorry i can’t pick a solid 5th 😔 i’m TERRIBLE at decision making though so i think a top 4 out of me is impressive

im doing these in chronological order bc i physically could not bring myself to rank them
Live at Maxwells 16 Aug 2002. mikeys outfit looks like its cutting off his circulation and gerards little cowboy shirt with the roses. iconic.
Helena live on Jimmy Kimmel in 2005. frank and gerards matching bulletproof vests <3, mikeys red neckerchief, ray being the only one dressed as a professional, gerards red mullet. honorable mention to grover the muppet showing up halfway thru also
live at House Of Blues 2006 - the black parade costumes yes but Also the corpse makeup for that show,, that one specific zoom in on rays face like 4 and a half minutes in during Dead!.. i literally think about it so often..
Teenagers live at the MTV EMAs 2007. mikeys giant mob boss jacket paired with ripped black jeans and combat boots. CATHOLIC. frank being on a completely different plane of existence; socks off, halloween mask on, i am forcibly removed from my favourite band. Rays cowboy style shoes and the black head to toe denim. i am literally in love with this entire look this is what people should have used as inspiration for the 2019 Met Gala.
Reading Festival 2011. Fully costumed UP bro also i dont think we appreciate gerards short red hair enough
