It's still an indescribable feeling, and today is also the first home game for the German national team. It's an amazing feeling, and a win to boot. It couldn't be any better
(whether it was typical Mittelstädt to score such a dream goal after the mistake at 0:1) It was an unfortunate situation before the 0:1. Without looking for excuses: The pitch wasn't in the best condition either, we slipped away a lot. But of course that shouldn't happen. The important thing was that I kept going after that, didn't let it unsettle me and scored the goal. I'm very happy that I was able to help the team like that

@/iMiaSanMia: Julian Nagelsmann on the pressure ahead of the Euros at home: For me, this topic of pressure comes from the outside. Thank God it's not a matter of life and death. We are under pressure to be successful in football. Sporting success is part of my happiness in life, but we would do well to enjoy the tournament and the games before.
On Musiala, Wirtz and Gündogan playing behind the striker: The three of them have a lot of freedom that they can enjoy. The day before yesterday in the 11v11 they did very well. They also have to work off the ball, defend their own goal and create chances up front. But there are still divisions of roles, which we hope we made clear in the individual discussions.
Ilkay Gündogan on playing alongside Musiala and Wirtz: Jamal and Flo are in top form. I want to support them by providing the necessary balance so they can show their magic. It worked well in training.
Nagelsmann responds to Gündogan: That's very modest. You can do a bit of magic too.
Nagelsmann confirms Neuer will start at the Euros: We have made the decision. Unfortunately Manu got injured but it's just a strain and he will only be out for ten days, so I won't be changing my decision. He has played very well for a long time now, in the Champions League and the Bundesliga. It's about giving the player clarity. It's the same with all the players I'm planning with for the first 13 positions. But I also said in a conversation with Marc (-André ter Stegen) that I'm happy we have two world-class goalkeepers. I explained to him that it was important he was there for the two games. An injury can happen anytime for both of them. But nothing changes in the decision.
Nagelsmann confirms Kai Havertz will start upfront against France tomorrow - Maximilian Mittelstädt will start at left-back
On Kai Havertz: He has developed very well, he has a lot of recognition from the coach [Arteta] and the club [Arsenal]. I think very highly of him as a player and as a person. He will start against France upfront, which he did six times for Arsenal. He has good deep runs and very good pace. We are happy that we have a striker behind him in Fülle, who brings a different profile. Deniz can also play in other positions. It's good that not every player has the same profile.
Nagelsmann asked by a French journalist about Tel and Upamecano:
On Upamecano: I worked with Upa for a very long time in Leipzig and Bayern. He's generally a player who can do everything. He has incredible physical qualities and is an incredibly nice person. He's currently not having an easy time at Bayern because they found another stable duo at the back. But I'm certain he'll still play many good games, because he is an absolute top player.
On Tel: It's a pity that he wasn't called up for the senior national team or the U21s. He's a huge talent who brings everything that a footballer needs. He has a great attitude and always gives everything. He's not the typical young striker that just scores goals, but he also works very hard and invests a lot. Sooner or later he will play for the senior national team, I'm certain of that.
Nagelsmann on the switch from Adidas to Nike: I can understand every opinion in the country, including from fans and the DFB. At the moment, however, this is not my job. We now have two important games and then we head towards the Euros. I want to use up enough capacity for football, not for other things.
