Doing a bit of a replay of Mass Effect. It’s been a while and my brain will not let me write. So, why not explore one of my favourite gaming universes?
I have, however, forgotten just how bad the Mako is to drive. An all terrain vehicle that will literally climb sheer rock walls (but only some rock walls, and it’ll do it like twice and then just refuse the third time). If you hit a pebble at full speed you can do a barrel roll, other times you’ll turn the canon wrong and the wheels will fall off. And sometimes it’ll merrily bounce from cliff top to cliff top like you’re floating on clouds.
"Ilos was a top secret research facility. Here, researchers worked to create a small-scale version of a mass relay. One that linked directly to the Citadel: the hub of the relay network.
I only know the researchers succeeded in their effort to seal the relay. Your presence here proves their sacrifice was not in vain"
Day 28: Ride I don't care what anyone says, I love the Mako in Mass Effect 1. It's so much fun ramping off hills then possibly exploding and driving up impossible cliffs xD
In this game I knew all the Mako's existing flaws and still loved that 6-wheel tank and good enough suspension that none of the fellows would demand Shepard in the future.
The memory of first cresting Tuntau's remote range to spot a prothean pyramid nested in the vast flats below is one that is seared into my childhood brain. I am so grateful to @swaps55 for allowing me to revisit it in this form. Here's our newest Mass Effect postcard!
