Summary: Y/N distances herself from Mason thinking that it would help her feelings.
word count: 3,7k words
notes: sorry if this is a bit too dramatic for you’re liking 👀 also take a shot for everytime y/n says sorry 😂😂 I’ve also not posted in a while so please leave feedback if you can, it will be appreciated 💞
This isn't how you expected tonight to go.
Here you were, in the bathroom locked away from the fun downsatairs, away from your own birthday party. You just couldn't handle it anymore.
You couldn't handle your feelings for him anymore. You hated being friends when deep down you know you knew what you wanted and the possibility of him turning you down, rejecting you just thinking about it made you an anxious mess.
You couldn't keep this up anymore. You wanted more.
The knocking on the bathroom door made you snap back into reality, and you already knew who it was without them even talking.
You just knew it was Mason.
The person who'd you been trying to avoid for the rest of the night.
'Last I checked, the afterparty hasn't been moved to the bathroom.'
'I'll just be a minute!' You say, trying to sound normal enough.
'What's wrong?' Apparently not.
'What do you mean? I'm just freshening up a bit.'
'What's bothering you?'
'i don't know what you mean,' you try to laugh it off , but the pressure in your chest becomes a little too tight and it comes out as a more gasping noise than a light chuckle. You clear your throat. 'i told you, I'll be out in a minute. It's getting late, everybody else has probably gone, you can go too. I'll see you tomorrow, yeah?'
Mason just ignores what you said. 'You would've at least made five sarcastic comments in the last two minutes if everything was fine. You forget how i can read you like a book.' He pauses. 'And you certainly wouldn't be hiding away from your own birthday party for most of the night. Especially when you always refuse to let me leave without helping you clean up.'
Shit
'Mase, i told you, I'm -'
'Cut the bullshit, Y/N.' He told you sternly, before continuing, 'I watched you blow out the candles. I saw that look you made after you made your wish, and you looked up at me for a split second. And that look you had on your face, as if you were going to start crying right there and then. You masked it quickly, but I saw it. I’m not going to stand here and pretend I didn’t see it.’
‘I don’t know what you’re-’
‘Yes you do,’ he interjects. ‘Because right about an hour ago I’m handing you a drink and the next thing I know, I see your face crumple like that again. And-’ he takes a deep breath before continuing. ‘And it fucking broke my heart.’
You stood there, stunned.
‘So, are you going to tell me what I did wrong?’ He asks.
‘You didn’t do-’
‘Because you’re my best friend,’ he reminds you. ‘And I feel like I have a right to know what I did that made you make that face.’
There’s a beat of silence, and he says, in a lower tone than before. ‘Because I would do anything to make sure I never see it again. It breaks my heart seeing you like that.’
Stood still, your gaze is fixed at the door speed the two of you.
‘Y/N.’ He calls out, sounding more desperate than you ever thought him capable of being.
And that does it. The tears you’ve been desperately holding back through every conversation with him you had, not only tonight, but since the day you realised that you were in love with him. You’ve reached the point where there was no return, and the person you want to run to the most is also the one you couldn’t possible bare to see you in this state.
The stretch of silence following your name from his lips feels endless. You feel like you’ve been standing in front of the door, with your face painfully scrunched in a vain attempt to stop the tears from falling, for an eternity. That is until it’s broken by your shuddering gasp for air.
‘Y/N.’ He says again. Only this time his voice has shifted, even thought the distance hasn’t changed, you can feel his voice everywhere now. It has penetrated the walls and filled every corner of the room. You realise this is the first time he’s seen you cry.
Well, no. He still can’t see you.
He can only hear you, which means there’s still time to fix things going from bad to worse.
‘C’mon princess, don’t cry sweetheart,’ he beckons. ‘Please. Just come out and we’ll fix whatever’s happening. I swear.’
Those nicknames, which he sometimes throws around fondly and always makes your chest tighten in joy every time you hear them. It feels worse now. It feels torturous and cruel to hear him casually call you things you wished he truly meant.
And that only makes you cry harder.
Oh how you wish things were different, and how you wished you were destined to be with him.
‘I-I’m begging you,’ his voice sounds strained, and you feel guilty for putting him in such an uncomfortable situation.
‘I’m fine,’ you manage. ‘I’m sorry. I’ll be okay in a sec.’
‘But you never cry,’ he says. Which was true, you never let him saw you raw emotions. You wanted him to think that you were fine and that you could handle it, until you couldn’t anymore.
‘I’m sorry,’ you whisper.
‘Stop apologising,’ he says firmly. ‘Now, can you please come out?’
‘I can’t.’
‘And why’s that?’
‘Because,’ you squeeze your eyes shut as more tears spill over. ‘You can’t see me like this. I don’t want it to change our friendship.’
‘Well what if I want it to?’ He counters.
‘What?!!’
‘What if I want it to affect our friendship?’ He sighs. ‘What if I want you to think you can come to me when you’re upset? Do you really think I’d push you away when you’re like this?’
You can’t get any words out. All you can do is let out a pathetic sob at the kindness of his words.
At my crying he stammers, ‘I’m sorry, did I say something wrong? I just meant-’
‘No!!’
‘No?’ He questions.
‘No,’ you can’t help but smile a little.
‘Well, look, I’m not going to force you to come out,’ he says. ‘If you truly want to be alone, I get that, and I’ll leave and you can come out whenever you’re ready.’
Good.
I think I can work with that - you thought.
‘But if the only reason you’re not coming out is because you’re afraid of how I’m going to react, then I’m the one who fucked up for making you think that you always need to be in a good mood around me,’ his voice softens. ‘I’ll leave you alone if you want, but please don’t try to push me away.’
Damn.
You almost left out a huff of laughter, because you know that no matter what you promised yourself, he always weakens your resolve. And it’s at this moment where you realise just how exhausted you are - how nearly two years of suppressing your feelings have been slowly eating away at you. And the weight of your misery becomes unbearable, and all you want is to leave the terrible ache in your chest behind.
More tears come running down your cheek, that you couldn’t seem to stop. You don’t bother wiping them away as you stare at yourself into the mirror. You see the hollowness of your eyes, the way you look pale in the dim bathroom light, and you know you can hardly handle the weight of your secret for much longer. Giving yourself an almost nod of understanding before reaching the door handle, unlocking the door and throwing common sense out of the window.
‘Princess?’ He asks. Your chest tightens at the sound of that stupid nickname again. It started off as a joke, Mason teasing you after you shared your love of fantasy books and fairy tales with him. And it stuck around, quickly becoming Mason’s favourite way to make you flustered while you always shoot him with an annoyed glare. You always told him you hated it, but after a while you began to carry it with a sense of pride. As much as it pained you to know he was only joking, it always made your heart contract in a way he was only capable of causing.
‘Promise me one thing?’ Your voice is unsteady from all the crying you’ve been doing.
‘Anything.’
‘Shut your eyes, will you?’
‘Why’s that?’
‘Not to brag or anything but I’m certain I’m one of the most ugliest criers out there. And I’m not sure if I can stand you see me like that,’ you do your best to joke. ‘Just for now, at least.’
‘You don’t realise how silly you sound, do you? But if that’s what makes you come out, then yeah sure.’ He says.
And with that, you pull the door handle down so you can open the door.
Mason’s perched at the very end of your bed, his hands resting on his lap. He’s facing you, and you’re relieved to see that his dud are still shut, as promised. You stand there for what feels like an endless amount of time, too stunned to move. But slowly, his hands move from his lap and palms his face up, beckoning you over.
It’s all the cue you need, and you step forward, placing your hands on his forearms, your grip is still shaky. Whilst his eyes are still closed, he engulfs you into a hug. You have hugged Mason plenty of times, more than you can count, but never with you crying into his arms. One hand rubs your back while the other gently caresses your hair, but the tenderness and kindness he’s showing only makes you cry harder.
‘Can I open my eyes?’ He murmurs. All you can manage is a quick nod against his chest. He tries to pull back from the hug so he can face you, but you figure that he cant see your tear stained face if it’s buried in his hoodie, so you remain firmly planted in the hug.
A few moments pass like this, both pressed impossibly close to each other and you can feel your heart rate begin to calm as your tears slowly subside. The exhaustion has saturated your body as you feel as though you can fall asleep on his chest before you heard him speak.
‘You’ll tell me what I did wrong, won’t you?’
‘I want to, but I can’t,’ you tell him.
‘Why?’ He doesn’t sound annoyed, his voice has a playful tone to it with a twinge of worry.
‘Because-’ you whisper. ‘Because you’ll hate me.’
‘Impossible,’ he says. ‘You’re one of my best friends, I don’t think I could hate you even if I wanted to.’
‘As much as I want to tell you why I gave you that look tonight,’ your voice is slightly muffled with your face buried in his hoodie. ‘I know it will ruin our friendship and I don’t think I can bare losing you.’
‘You’re not making any sense. I thought I was the one who upset you,’ he manages to pull away, untangling my arms from around his neck. He slowly rises from his perch, towering above me as he rests his hand on my shoulders. You can’t look at him though, so you lock your gaze onto the floor. ‘Seriously, Y/N, you know I won’t force you to do anything you don’t want to, but you’re starting to scare me.’ His confession makes your heart ache impossibly.
He brings his hand underneath your chin and slowly guides your face up to meet his. A few more tears escape your swollen eyelids, and he gently brushes them away. ‘I want to tell you,’ you avert your gaze, not being able to stand the intensity of his eyes on yours. ‘But I know how it’ll end. And I know you’ll resent me for it.’
‘Please don’t say that,’ he tries to meet your eyes. ‘There’s nothing that you could say to me right now that would make me even think about hating you, okay?’
‘But there is!’ You grip on to his forearms, relishing your closeness one last time. You know you’re going to be selfish you’ve ever been and ruin the most important thing in your life just to give yourself a moment of peace. ‘And I thought I was fine keeping it to myself, but I just can’t go on like this anymore.’
You stagger backwards, as you see the panicked look on his face. ‘I can’t eat or sleep,’ your fingers begin to nervously tangle themselves into your hair. ‘And I know you don’t deserve this, but I can feel myself going crazy and I know that I can’t keep this up.’
He slowly moves closer to you, his brow knotted in concern. ‘Keep what up?’
‘I can’t keep pretending that I’m not in love with you.’
There it is.
There’s no going back now.
He starts to say your name, but you cut him off quickly. ‘No, just let me finish,’ you bury your face in your hands, knowing damn well that you cannot possibly handle his reaction. You try your best to steady your breathing. ‘Because if I don’t do this now, it’ll just continue to eat away at me until I won’t even recognise myself.’
You take his silence as a cue to keep going. You remove your hands from your eyes but focus your attention on the floor. You eyes catch on a potted plant in the corner of the room by three window, and you keep your gaze focused on it as you utter your confession.
‘I thought it was just a little crush,’ your voice isn’t much louder than a whisper. ‘When we met a couple years ago. And then it was like one day I blinked and you and I had become best friends. I couldn’t remember a time when I was so happy.’
You’re crying now. You take another moment to gather your strength, and carry on, refusing to look up at him.
‘I thought us being friends would be enough, and for a while it was. I was fine loving you platonically, because I figured having you in my life as a friend would be better than not having you in my life at all. But my feelings never went away, they just continued to grow stronger and stronger and-’ you try to discreetly wipe your eyes. Your tears blurred your vision almost completely. ‘I knew you would never love me like I love you, because guys like you don’t date girls like me. The date models or influencers. The type of girl you brag to your friends about.’
‘I feel terrible because I’ve lied to you our entire friendship. I feel like this secret has just been festering inside of me and honestly I’ve been so miserable when I wake up everyday thinking this is it, this is the day you’ll find someone else and I’ll truly be nothing to you. But no matter how badly I try to protect myself from getting hurt in the end, I just can’t stay away from you.’ You let out a weak laugh.
You’re rambling now, you can feel it. You find it impossible to stop until he speaks. ‘What if I feel the same?’
You jerk your chin up to meet his eyes. He’s standing closer now, and you have to tilt your head back to maintain eye contact.
Your stubbornness got in the way. ‘No you don’t. You could never love me.’
It feels like time stops when he says, ‘who said that?’
You shake your head, and viciously swipe your hands under your eyes. ‘No, Mase. Don’t say things you don’t mean. I know we joke around a lot but I would never fuck around with your feelings like that.’ You can feel panic rising in your chest.
‘I’m-’ Mason tries to go on to say until you interrupt.
‘You don’t have to let me down gently.’
‘Please give me a chance to speak, will you?’ He grips your shoulders gently, placing his face close to yours. And then he goes on to saying something you would’ve never expected. ‘Could you just pump the breaks for a second so I can tell you that I’m in love with you too?’
You stood stunned for a while before you managed to come out with ‘what?’
‘You do realise that I’ve been crazy about you for years now, right? I just didn’t know where you stood so I never had the guts to ask you out,’ He lets out a breathy laugh and runs his hands through his hair. ‘Oh god if I had known that you liked me back even a little I would’ve said something! I–I just thought you never saw me like that,’ He trails off. He stops and turns to me suddenly. ‘Princess, I am so sorry. All this time you felt like you couldn’t be yourself around me, like you couldn’t just tell me how you felt.’
You’re still staring at him, dumbfounded. You’ve realized that you still haven’t stopped crying, much to your absolute humiliation. If what he’s saying is true, you think, then why on god’s green earth can’t you calm down? But at this point the panicked sobbing has taken a new shape, now strangely mixed with exhaustion, giddiness, and confusion. You attempt a smile, but you imagine it looks very off-putting, considering your emotional state.
His hand on your arm breaks you out of your thoughts. ‘Sorry,’ I furtively wipe your eyes. ‘I don’t know what’s wrong with me – I mean, I should be jumping up and down with joy, but,’ you release another shuddering breath. ‘I can’t seem to calm down.’
The look he gives you is one you’ve seen many times before, though you never knew how to describe it. Calling it a look of kindness or interest didn’t seem like it was enough to describe the depth of his stare, and it felt too far to call it a look of worry. Only now after these past few minutes have you understood what his gaze is implying. It was more than affection, it felt like love.
‘Hey,’ he murmurs. ‘It’s okay, you’ve been through quite a bit just now, baby.’
I laugh a little at that. ‘That’s a good way to sum it up.’
He smiles again, and your stomach does more than just flip, it somersaults and launches itself into a dive roll. And then he pulls you into his arms again, and though you can’t stop the tears leaving your eyes, you feel like you can at least control your breathing a bit more.
‘Now I know you have a tendency to overthink,’ he says after a moment or two. ‘But there can’t be any of that right now, alright? Don’t think about tomorrow or this new thing between us, alright?’
You pause, but relent with a small nod.
He continues. ‘I care about you like I always have, and my priority right now is to make sure you’re okay.’ His hand rubs reassuring circles on your back as he speaks. ‘It’s late now, and you must be exhausted after everything tonight.’
You let out a small hum of agreement. Now that he mentions it, you feel absolutely wiped out, and a dull pain has begun to take roots in your temples. Mason gently moves back, pushing a lock of hair behind your ear and taking in the sight of you in front of him. For what felt like the millionth time, you feel yourself becoming self-conscious. You know how red and swollen your face becomes after you’ve cried, and you’re willing to bet that the mascara running down your cheeks gives your features an added air of insanity.
‘How about you let me deal with some of the mess in the living room, while you wash your face and wind down a bit?’ he suggests.
‘Yeah,’ your breath still comes out a little shaky as you restate his commands. ‘No overthinking.’
He nods, satisfied with your answer. ‘And when I come back tomorrow, we’ll talk, and then you can let that brain of yours ask a hundred and one questions as it always does. But not until then,’ he finished with a smile.
You can feel your heart start to drop at his words
‘You’re not staying?’
The words are out before you can stop yourself. You know he doesn’t want you thinking about this new thing between us right now, but he has no idea how much overthinking you’ll do if he walks out that door. You know if he leaves, you’ll barely get a wink of sleep all night, wondering if our heated exchange was nothing more than a champagne-induced dream.
Mason looks at me with a smile. ‘Of course I can stay.’
‘Are you saying that because I asked, or because you actually want to?’ You shoot him an incredulous look
‘Let me tell you something, princess,’ he stares deeply into your eyes, refusing to let your gaze slip from his. ‘I’ve never, never left your side willingly.’
His words cause your breath to hitch and for your heart to constrict almost painfully, but you refrain from grabbing the skin over your chest, from making sure that your heart is, in fact, still beating.
‘I wanted you to know that you don’t owe me anything right now, and that we’re still – we’re still us,’ he says. ‘I didn’t want you to feel weird if I stayed the night, that’s all.’
You let out a soft breath. ‘Thank you, Mase,’ you whisper. ‘I trust you, you know that I do.’
‘Good,’ he replies. ‘That’s a relief because I honestly didn’t feel comfortable leaving my girl alone right now.’
You have to physically hold yourself back from grinning at his words. My girl. The thought of those two words, and all they could possibly imply, made me feel light-headed. All you can do is nod your head in agreement.
He gently brushes some hair behind your shoulders, giving you a soft grin. ‘So how about you get ready for bed, and I’ll grab a T-shirt from my car and put away the stuff in the living room. I’ll be back in a few minutes, alright?’
‘Okay, I think I can manage washing my face before I pass out,’ you say jokingly.
Mason chuckles as he walks out of the room. ‘That’s my girl.’

and for my husband… — mason mount
A/N: this is based on how i think mason would react to that husband trend on tiktok. let me know if you’d like me to write this with different players!
Tumblr media
“I think I’ll go for a veggie burger and fries today bae, what do you want?” you asked Mason, who was comfortably curled up on the passenger seat of your car.
You know training has been harder for him lately, trying to prove he’s ready to come back, and when he asked you if you could pick him up you didn’t hesitate.
You are used to him coming back starving, so you decided to make a stop to order you both something since it was Friday night and you didn’t want to cook.
“Can you choose for me?” his groggy voice made you smile, and you scratched his scalp, softening at how he melted against the seat.
“Are you allowed to eat anything tonight? When was your last day off?”
“Two weeks ago” he yawned, opening his eyes to stare at you.
“Burger and milkshake then” you smiled, now stroking the hand he was resting on your thigh. Your boyfriend looked really tired, and you almost gave up on recording what you wanted.
It was a silly trend from TikTok where girlfriends were calling their boyfriend’s “husband” to see their reaction and you had the camera settled since you picked him up at Carrignton, but you weren’t expecting Mase to be practically napping in the car.
You spent the afternoon preparing yourself, and now you just wanted to call him like that — either it was recording or not. You just wanted to tell another person like ‘hey, my husband’, and you felt so silly about it, but before you could think any more it was your turn in line.
“Good night” you greeted the cashier. “Can I have the veggie burger, fries and a Coca Zero, please? Oh, and a brownie too”
“Anything else?” he gently smiled, and without looking at Mason you kept talking.
“Uhm and for my husband it’ll be a cheddar burger and a vanilla milkshake” you shyly said, unintentionally lower than your own order.
Later that night, you saw in the video how Mason instantly opened his eyes, sitting straight with a confused expression.
“Bro. Did you hear that?” Mase asked the cashier, his hand on your seat so he could lean forward.
“I’ve heard that” he laughed, amused by Mason’s reactio, and nodded..
“I thought you were sleeping?” you unpretentiously said, looking at your boyfriend’s face that was close to yours. Mason turned his head towards you and pecked your lips before talking to the cashier again.
“Wait buddy, add a milkshake and double fries for my wife, please” he smiled, and you could feel your cheeks burning. The word sounded pretty on his voice, and you felt a different level of love for him — need, desire, adoration.
“You don’t need to- I really thought you were sleeping”
“Husbands don’t sleep. Husbands keep an eye on everything” he pointed but you just rolled your eyes and tried to hand the cashier your credit card, but he took it from you. “No, no, husbands pay everything too”
“Mason!” you burst into a fit of giggles when he leaned over your lap and tapped his card against the reader.
He turned his face back at you and gave you a flat look. “Who’s Mason? I only know husband”
“Fine. You’re being silly, husband” you smiled.
“Bro!” Mason half screamed, half giggled, and the cashier laughed loudly, seeming to be having so much fun.
“Man! I definitely heard that” he hyped up Mason. “Here, Mrs. Husband, the receipt”
“Thank you” he chuckled, sitting back on his seat, his hand instantly resting on your thigh whilst you drove to take your order. “Husband, uh?”
“It was supposed to be boyfriend, guess it just slipped” you shrugged, trying to play it cool, but Mason squeezed your waist to make you look at him.
“No, I like the sound of it” he curled up again, his touch never leaving your skin. “Guess I’ll just have to give you the ring earlier”

Your Shirt
Tumblr media
Warnings: fluff, mentions of sex
Notes: haven’t wrote one in so long and decided to finally give it a go hope you like it
Your Shirt - Mason Mount fluff
As Mason lays beside Y/N in his bed, his heart swelled with a potent mixture of desire and pride as he gazed upon her wearing nothing but his England shirt, with his name proudly displayed on her back.
As much as she was from a different country she still felt the need to wear his country shirt with his name on her back
The fabric draped over her curves in a tantalizing display, accentuating her beauty and igniting a fierce sense of possessiveness within him.
He wanted her in a way they hadn’t been intimate yet
With each glance at her, Mason felt a surge of desire well up inside him, knowing that she had chosen to wear his shirt, a symbol of their connection and intimacy.
The sight of her wearing it filled him with a sense of validation and belonging, as if she had willingly wrapped herself in his identity, embracing all that he was.
It was the deeper, more profound sense of intimacy and trust that it represented.
In that moment, as they lay together in the quiet intimacy of their shared space, Mason felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the woman beside him, for her unwavering support and love.
As he reached out to trace the letters of his name on her back, Mason couldn't help but feel a surge of desire course through him, the warmth of her skin beneath his fingertips sparking a fire within him that burned with a fierce intensity.
Their bodies pressed together in the quiet intimacy of their shared space, as much as he was supposed to be paying attention to the film she had picked he couldn’t help himself but letting his mind wander to how would it feel to have her ride him while wearing his name on her back
His mind was travelling to forbidden territory, fueled by the intoxicating sight of her wearing nothing but his England shirt.
With each gentle movement she made, the fabric of the shirt shifted against her skin, accentuating her curves and igniting a primal desire within him.
As he watched her, a vivid image began to form in his mind—a fantasy of Y/N pleasuring him while still wearing his shirt.
The thought alone sent a shiver of anticipation down his spine, his body responding instinctively to the imagined sensation of her hands roaming his skin beneath the fabric.
Lost in the intensity of his desire, Mason couldn't help but hug her from behind while hiding his face on the curve of her neck and pulling her even closer enough to let her know that he was turned on
Y/N's innocent apology cut through Mason’s reverie, snapping him back to the present moment with a jolt.
He blinked, his cheeks flushing with embarrassment at the realization of where his thoughts had taken him.
Y/N: "I'm sorry, Mase. I didn't mean to... you know, make you feel... turned on."
Her words were tentative, laced with a hint of uncertainty as she glanced at him, her cheeks tinged with a delicate blush.
Mason: "No babe it's not your fault. You have nothing to apologize for."
His voice came out a little too hastily, a touch of awkwardness coloring his tone as he tried to reassure her.
Mason: "I mean, it's just... you look really good in my shirt, and... well, I couldn't help but let my mind wander a bit."
Y/N's eyes widened in surprise at his candid admission, a small smile tugging at the corners of her lips as she processed his words.
Y/N: "Oh, um... thank you. I guess I didn't realize the effect it would have on you." She said turning around to face him on his embrace
Mason: "Yeah, well... you have that effect on me, Y/N. You always have."
His words came out softer than he had intended, tinged with a vulnerability he hadn't planned on revealing.
But as he looked into Y/N's eyes, he knew that he couldn't hide the truth from her—that she had always held a power over him, a power that transcended words and boundaries.
Y/N's smile widened at his admission, a warmth spreading through her at the depth of his feelings
She felt bravely enough to bite her lips and take her hands to his hair.
Not before taking his hands further down on her body earning a gently tugging on her soft but cheek
Y/N: "You have that effect on me too”
In that moment, as they shared a knowing glance, Mason felt a sense of connection and understanding wash over him
He felt the need to pull her even closer even if it wasn’t physically possible anymore
As their eyes locked in a shared moment of understanding and vulnerability, the air between them crackled with unspoken tension. In a surge of longing and desire, Mason leaned in closer, his lips hovering just inches from Y/N's.
With a whispered exhale, Y/N closed the remaining distance, her lips meeting his in a kiss that ignited a firestorm of passion between them.
Their mouths moved together with a fervent hunger, each touch sending sparks of electricity coursing through their veins.
His hands found their way to Y/N's waist, under the shirt, pulling her closer as he deepened the kiss, their bodies melding together in a primal dance of desire.
Y/N responded eagerly, her fingers tangling in his hair as she pressed herself against him, her heart racing with the intensity of their connection.
Their kiss was filled with an urgency born of longing and need, each touch a silent plea for more.
They lost themselves in the heat of the moment, the world falling away as they surrendered to the raw, unbridled passion that consumed them.
In that fleeting moment, as their lips met in a fervent embrace. There was no turning back anymore now
Lost in the intensity of the moment, they surrendered to the fire that burned between them, their kisses growing more urgent and desperate with each passing second.
Time seemed to stand still as they melted into each other, consumed by the raw passion that ignited their souls
Mason reached out, gently brushing a strand of hair from Y/N's face as he searched her eyes for any sign of regret or hesitation after pulling away from the kiss
Mason: "Are you okay? I didn't mean to... I mean, I hope I didn't..."
Y/N silenced him with a soft kiss, her lips meeting his in a tender embrace that spoke volumes more than words ever could.
Y/N: "I'm more than okay, Mase. I've never felt more alive than I do in this moment."
Mason felt a surge of relief wash over him at her words, his fears and doubts melting away in the warmth of her embrace.
Mason: "Good. Because I... I don't want to stop kissing you. Ever."
Their laughter mingled with the soft sounds of their shared breaths, filling the air with a sense of joy and contentment that seemed to transcend time and space.
Y/N: "Then don't. Kiss me again."
And with that simple invitation, Mason leaned in, capturing Y/N's lips in another electrifying kiss

caring for you - mason mount
summary: following Mason's surgery, Y/N does everything in her power to take care of him and keep him comfortable, and his parents take note
pairing: Mason Mount x reader
word count: 2.2k
warnings/tags: brief mentions of surgery and medicine, PDA in front of parents, fluff
requested: yes!! here
notes: I'm back (for now)!! I'm about to start finals week, so hopefully I'll have more time to write once I've made it back home! I received this request a while ago, and I was thinking about writing something about taking care of Mason after his procedure last week, so I figured I'd combine the two! Hope you like it!
Also I feel like this started out really strong and the end is absolute garbage, so I'm very sorry about that
Tumblr media
Since the moment the two of you had arrived at home from the hospital, you hadn’t let Mason leave his spot in the corner of the ‘L-shaped’ couch. As soon as you walked through the door, you had (gently) pushed him down onto the soft cushion, tucking a soft blanket over his legs. It was only a few minutes before you had a bottle of water and a couple of snacks by his side in case he needed them.
The surgery had been relatively minor, all things considered. It was an outpatient procedure, scheduled for the early hours of the day. So by the time it reached the late afternoon, the doctor had discharged Mason, instructing him to take it easy for the next couple of weeks to avoid agitating the incisions before easing back into his regular training regimen. The doctor had informed you that everything had gone very well and there should be nothing to be concerned about.
So of course, you were very concerned, just a ball of anxiety, making sure that Mason didn’t lift a finger for the rest of the day.
Mason had been pretty tired once the two of you had arrived home, so you left him to nap on the couch while you tidied up the rest of the house. Mason’s parents were making the drive up from Portsmouth to spend the evening in London. Mason hadn’t been able to see them in a while and took advantage of the free days he would have following his operation to invite them to spend some time with him (and you).
Part of you had been worried that Mason would be too exhausted after the early morning he’d had and the surgery to visit with them. But you also knew that, like you, Debbie would be worried about Mason following the procedure, and just being able to see him would do wonders to calm her nerves.
So as Mason took a well-deserved nap, you moved about the house, sweeping the floors, wiping down the counters, and making sure that everything had been put in its proper place. You washed the dishes that had accumulated in the sink over the last couple of days and put them away. You were sure to pass through the living room every few minutes to make sure Mason was still sleeping peacefully. You felt a warmth spread through your chest each time you checked on him, the blanket tucked up under his chin and a slight pout on his lips as his face was smushed into the pillow.
It came time for Mason to take the next dose of one of the medications the doctor had sent home with him, and he had just begun to stir from his nap as you sat down on the couch by his head. You reach out, threading your fingers through his hair as he began to blink his eyes open, humming at your gentle touch.
“How you feeling?” you spoke softly to him.
“ ‘m good,” he mumbled, a grin on his face as he looked up at you with nothing but pure adoration in his eyes.
You returned his smile. “Good. Well, it’s time for you to take your medicine.”
He sat up slowly, grunting with the effort, which instantly put you on edge, worried that he was in pain. He must have noticed the look on your face when he looked over at you.
“I’m fine. I promise,” he moved himself up on the couch so that he was sitting next to you. He placed his hand on the back of your neck, gingerly leaning over to kiss you on the forehead. “Stop worrying yourself so much.”
You smiled sheepishly at him, feeling a little silly for how worked up you had been the whole day, but you couldn’t really help it. You would truly do anything for Mason, and the thought of him in pain was something you never wanted to even consider.
“Your parents should be here any minute,” you informed him once he had swallowed the pills. “Dinner is almost ready, so we should be ready to eat as soon as they arrive. Are you feeling hungry?”
“Of course. Especially if it’s your cooking.”
“Oh, shut up, you.” He laughed at your deflection, knowing that you had no clue how to accept a complement. Even so, he delighted in giving them to you often, watching your cheeks flush red and your eyes dart to the ground.
It was only a few minutes before you heard the knock on the front door, knowing it could only be Debbie and Tony. You gave Mason a quick kiss, instructing him not to move from the couch as you walk to the door. You opened it, greeting his parents as they both pulled you into warm hugs. You had met Mason’s family several times before, but your relationship with them was still new enough that you felt nervous any time they came around. You felt as though you needed to somehow prove to them that you were worthy of their son’s love, despite Mason’s constant reassurance that it was unnecessary, insisting that they already loved you. You still tried your best, though, making sure that everything was perfect at the house before they came over.
You led them to the living room so that they could greet their son and told them you’d be in the kitchen, putting the final touches on the food you had prepared. You caught Mason’s eye before you turned away, and he flashed a quick grin at you.
You were dishing the food into bowls when Debbie entered the kitchen, a kind smile on her face as she offered your help. You informed her that you were nearly done, but she could help with carrying the dishes to the boys.
“He seems like he’s doing well,” she said.
You nodded in agreement. “I think so. He hasn’t told me he’s had any pain since we got home, and I just gave him another dose of the pain medicine that the doctor sent home with us before you got here. Though you and I both know that he probably wouldn’t say anything even if he was in pain.”
The two of you shared a laugh over the stubborn boy that was dear to both of your hearts.
“How are you doing?” she asked suddenly.
“M-me?” Her question caught you off-guard as you dished food into the fourth and final bowl, and you looked up at her. Her lips were drawn together in a tight line as she examined your face.
“Yes, you. I know you well enough to know you’ve been running yourself ragged all day to keep him comfortable.”
“Oh,” you breathed, a warm feeling spreading through your chest at her motherly concern. It meant more to you than she realized that she would express that kind of affection for you. “Y-yeah, I’m alright. He’s a pretty good patient, so he makes my job easy.” You pressed a smile to your face despite the emotions you felt welling up inside you.
You handed Debbie the bowls containing food for Tony and herself and let her know you’d be in the living room in a moment. She walked out of the kitchen, and you lingered behind for just a moment, dabbing the tears from the corners of your eyes in an attempt to keep your mascara from running.
Just that simple question from Mason’s mother was so important to you. Knowing that she approved of your relationship with her son and saw how much you wanted to take care of him—it did wonders to calm your nerves surrounding your relationship with her and Tony.
Once you had collected yourself, you picked up the two remaining bowls and met Mason, Tony, and Debbie in the living room. You had decided that it would be best for the four of you to eat on the couch so that Mason could remain comfortable, and you could all continue to visit together.
Plus, you knew Mason and his father really wanted to continue watching the football match that had started a mere 20 minutes ago.
As you approached Mason, he gently swung his legs off of the couch cushion, patting the space where his legs had just been to signal for you to sit down. You did so carefully, still holding both bowls of food and he placed his legs across your lap, draping the blanket back over both of your legs. You were a little taken back by the display of affection in front of his parents but brushed it off as you handed the bowl to him.
He gave you a curious look, brows slightly furrowed, as he noticed the misty look in your eyes. You just replied with a slight shake of your head, a signal that the two of you would talk later.
You eagerly watched Mason and your two guests as they took the first bite of their food. It was one of Debbie’s recipes and you hoped desperately that you hadn’t let them down with the dish. As soon as you knew Mason had a surgery coming up, you had texted Debbie asking for the recipe for his favorite meal of hers, wanting to spoil him after the procedure.
Debbie and Tony both smiled, humming in appreciation as they got their first taste, and Tony remarked how good it was. Mason, ever the dramatic one, let out a groan, dropping his head onto the back of the couch, using words like “incredible” and “scrumptious” as he voiced his gratitude for the meal. He merely grinned at the way you rolled your eyes at him while your cheeks flushed red.
By the time the halftime show was wrapping up, you were collecting everyone’s dishes and carrying them into the kitchen to tidy up. Debbie appeared moments later, pushing you back into the living room and insisting that it was “the least I could do” to clean up your kitchen. You hesitated for a moment, but eventually gave in.
You walked around behind the couch, threading your fingers through Mason’s hair to get his attention, He dropped his head back, eyes gazing up at you lovingly.
“Do you need anything?” you asked as you scratch his scalp lightly with your nails.
“Hmm,” he pretended to think for a moment before tapping his lips with his index finger. “Just a kiss.”
You laughed at him, leaning down as you held your hair out of the way so it wouldn’t get in Mason’s face. You pressed your lips to his gently, expecting to give him a quick peck. But Mason seemed to have other ideas, holding your face to his for a few seconds with a hand that had reached to the back of your head.
He let you pull back after a moment, and you gazed down at his upside-down face, adorning a lovestruck grin. You weren’t sure what had gotten into him today, but something had gotten him in a touchy and lovey mood.
“Anything else?” you whispered, caught slightly off-guard by his actions. Mason just shook his head, gesturing for you to come back to sit on the couch with him, and you resumed your position under his legs.
As you watched the football game, you did your best to keep up with Mason and Tony as they talked over the strategies of the teams and the technique of the players on the screen. The exhaustion of the day was finally catching up to you, and you felt your eyes slip closed, your head falling forward just slightly before you jolted awake.
Noticing this, Mason pulled you into his side and intertwined his legs with yours. Your head rested on his shoulder as he leaned back on the cushions, shuffling down slightly so that your neck wouldn’t be uncomfortable. Too tired to protest the PDA in front of his dad, you draped your arm over his stomach and quickly fell back asleep in the comfort of Mason’s arms. He ran the tips of his fingers over the skin of your arm, pressing a gentle kiss to the top of your head every couple of minutes as he listened to your steady breathing.
A knowing smile took over Debbie’s face as she re-entered the living room after finishing up in the kitchen.
“She’s a keeper, that one,” she pointed to your sleeping form. Your cheek was pressed firmly to Mason’s chest, causing a slight pout to form on your lips.
He looked down at your face, a smile spread across his lips. “She’s just amazing,” he replied earnestly. “She’s so selfless and hardworking, always taking care of me. I don’t know what I would’ve done without her today.” He looked back up at his parents, holding you a little tighter. “I’m… really happy with her.”
Debbie and Tony smiled back at him, happy to see their son in a healthy and successful relationship.
“People like her are hard to come by,” Tony remarked. “You better do everything you can to keep her around.”
“Oh definitely,” Mason grinned, looking back to the football match on the TV screen. “At this point, if she leaves me, I’m going with her.”

Forbidden but delightful - Mason Mount
Request: I actually had a imagine request for Mason Mount…where the reader works for him and they’ve always been fond of one another and one day she comes in wearing a guys jumper, it doesn’t fit her properly and it smells like a man. So Mason feels himself becoming jealous, when in reality it’s just her brothers jumper that she ended up wearing because she fell asleep at his babysitting his kids + @anon that asked me sth based on Mase's Nike shooting that got out out in august/september
Warning: none

A thing Mason promised himself he would have never done in his life was falling in love with someone that worked for him or that simply happened to cross his path for business reasons: he knew it would have been unprofessional but, most of all, he feared he would have ended up as the wronged party.
Another thing he knew deep down his heart was that promises are sometimes meant to be broken and the aforementioned one was one of those.
Since Y/N took on the role of his personal stylist she became the ever so present object of his thoughts as she charmed him since day one, when that shy smile of hers made him blush and ask for more, more moments of him in her company.
He knew she had something special but didn't know what that was, he only knew it was something that made him feel relaxed, at peace with the world around him. It was as if she held an aura of calmness that was never enough for him as his engaged lifestyle required a lot of it.
Needless to say they got along instantly and, as he was one of the most appreciated footballers on the planet, she soon became one of the most envied women for spending so much time with him. That time they would spend together wasn’t related to fashion matters only but quickly spread to their spare time too: after their work for a magazine, Mason invited her over to his house to celebrate their first job together.
In the meanwhile, on her part, a small sentence he said to her like “I’d like you to always feel at ease when you’re around me, we don’t have to be friends if you don’t want to but I’d like you to be totally yourself” was what made her like him as soon as his brother Lewis introduced him to her. What he expressed was quite an easy concept not to be taken for granted as a lot of famous people would likely treat their employees as servants, making their business life miserable but that wasn't his case.
Everyone loved Mason for being a down to earth guy, a family guy that always had the most beautiful smile painted across his lips and that smile was the second thing that made her weak to her knees: it could light up a dark room faster than artificial light and warm her heart at the same speed.
The second time it was her turn so she asked him to join her in going to a club in the centre of Manchester. It was just the prelude of their game of looks, subtle and unintended touches, sweet words. All of that happened without them even realising it as it felt so spontaneous, so right.
The crucial moment in their professional as well as personal career was when the Red Devils player was asked to feature in the next Nike Underwear campaign as one of their latest posterboys.
“That’s huge, I can't believe it” She kept on saying in disbelief as he was in a delighted mood too. That was probably the biggest job she got until then and they were both buzzing.
“I’m sure all the girlies will love me even more after this shooting” You joked, alluding to the shirtless pictures of Mason that would soon reach every corner of planet Earth through the worldwide coverage they would have had.
He blushed a little and chuckled. “Yep and they’ll probably hate you a little too cause you’re stealing their place”
“Me?? I’m just doing what I’ve been hired for and just got you the biggest shooting to date”
“Yeah but don’t flatter yourself sweetheart”
Sweetheart? Y/N would have never thought of hearing that nickname coming from his mouth and above all, addressed to her. The shade of bright pink that painted her cheeks after that exchange of words, matched her geranium skirt and that combination didn’t go unnoticed to her client who smirked, quite pleased with what his sentence ignited in her.
They both gave each other knowing looks, a look that made Mason’s heart beat faster and Y/N’s legs shake.
The stylist cleared her throat with a fit of coughing before looking at the time on her phone screen, deciding it was time for her to go home before things would have gone out of your hands.
“Are you already going home?”
“Yes, I have erm - a friend over for dinner, yeah” She nodded as if she was trying to convince herself to buy her own lie.
“Do I know her? Oh wait, is it your best friend?” The Englishman didn’t really care about her guest, he only wanted to spend a couple more minutes with her and make sure she wasn’t seeing any guy he would have to compete with.
“No no, you don’t know her…” She said dismissively, putting her bag on her shoulder.
“Is this mysterious friend a guy you haven’t told me about?” He said, crossing his hands and trying to sound as chilled as possible.
“Please! Not interested in any guy right now” Yeah, in any guy that wasn’t called Mason Mount. “Really have to go now, my house is a mess and she will be there in less than an hour… see you tomorrow, Mount, don’t be late cause we’ll check your Nike’s outfits out!”
“Don’t worry, I won’t…have fun tonight”
“Yep…thanks”
They almost whispered their goodbyes with a hint of sadness and delusion in their voices, as though neither of them wanted to leave each other nor wanted the other one to be left alone but the positions they were in forbid any kind of romantic relationship: it would have been too complicated and too risky.
The very risky thing though was the task she had to undertake the next day: some Nike people met Mason and Y/N at the sportswear brand’s headquarter in London and shared a quick chat to get to know each other better, before skipping to the part where they would explain the shooting they had in mind for Mason to be featured in.
She gulped the moment they showed them the underwear models they could have chosen among.
Y/N’s mind soon got crowded with not safe for work images, as the sight of the Manchester United player’s toned body covered only in a pair of tight boxers, smiling at her began getting more and more vivid.
She shook her head when the Mason in her mind bit on his lower lip and seductively brought his hands to his sides to take off the tiny piece of clothing covering his lower body.
“Are you okay?”
“Me? Oh yes, yes I’m so excited for this you have no idea” She laughed.
The people working with them smiled and left the room to do God’s knew what, leaving her and Mason alone.
He chuckled, lowering himself to her level so that his lips were close to her ear and whispered “Bet you’re more aroused than excited for this job”
You widen your eyes and hit him on the shoulder.
“I’m fully focused on my work, wasn’t thinking about anything vile”
“Even if you’re thinking about it that would be nothing wrong with it…I won’t tell anyone about your secret crush for me”
“Stop it! How old are you? 15??”
Mason giggled and swiftly pecked her cheek. “I love it when you get annoyed at me”
If someone would have seen that scene they would have thought they were a couple, a cute couple but sadly it wasn’t the truth and maybe would have never been…
Y/N arrived at work the day of the Nike shooting some minutes late and she entered the venue out of breath.
“Hi! Sorry everyone, stuck in traffic and it was horrible” She justified herself panting. What she just said was a white lie because she had nothing to do with London’s traffic: the night before her elder brother asked her to babysit his children because he had planned a night out with his wife and forgot to call someone to look after those two rascals that spent all the night shouting and running around the house.
She tried to say no when he asked her that favour, as she had a big day coming on but he said he really needed her help.
So she fell asleep on the sofa, after battling to put her nephews to bed, waking up just in time to go back home in a rush, begging her brother to give her a lift, and put on some knee-high boots that would have complimented that oversized grey jumper she borrowed from him to fight the coldness of the night.
Mason raised his eyebrows when he saw her, recognising immediately what she was wearing was a man’s jumper.
She styled it as if it was a dress and she looked so hot in his eyes but couldn’t stop thinking she must have spent the night with some man, that’s the reason why she was late.
The shooting went as planned: Mason looked genuinely flawless and sexy in that underwear, smiling at the camera and she kept on biting her lips as she couldn’t help thirsting over him as he looked nothing but hot ... that infatuation for him would have been the death of her.
She thanked that one person that asked for a little break because she needed a giant cup of coffee and some fresh air.
“You look good” Those were the first words she said to Mason that day.
“You too”
“No way, I look hideous as I’ve barely slept and arrived late on what’s the most important day in my career” She blurted annoyed at that, something unforgivable from her point of view.
The footballer started biting on his nails as he was clearly nervous and maybe needed some fresh air as well as she did.
“This…” The strong smell that tickled his nostrils interrupted him “...this smell, where does it come from?”
“Oh I think it’s my jumper” Y/N admitted shyly, referring to the garment that looked huge on her.
What Mason noticed made her blush, as if he caught her red-handed while doing something inappropriate and he glanced at her sideways, as if that inappropriate thing she did disappointed him somehow.
“It still smells like him...” She said under her breath but he still heard her and couldn’t help but widen his eyes in shock: in his head they’re perfect together, smiling and laughing every day, even subtly flirting so he thought she was single and he could go on courting her but now she’s wearing another man’s clothes? The poor man was confused to say the least.
“You told me you weren’t interested in any man…”
“And I’m not”
He raised his head and smiled quite relieved with the real explanation behind all of that.
“So why are you wearing another man’s jumper?”
“Oh god Mase, are you jealous?? This is my brother’s. He asked me to babysit his kids last night and took this because I was cold and in a rush so it was literally the first decent thing I’ve found”
“Oh well…I was ready to mock you for your walk of shame actually”
“No dear, you’re dying for me to tell you I haven't slept with anyone last night and now you’re joking only because you didn’t get angry” You giggled, offering him a cup of hot coffee.
“Can I take you out tonight?”
“Mason I- I don’t think that’d be a good idea, I mean we’re working together”
“I know that but I’ll do my best to keep things separated, I promise” He gave you puppy eyes, making you giggle.
“If you wanna try…”
“You don’t wanna try?”
Of course she wanted to, she'd been dying too…and she'd been dying to know what his lips tasted of too: she quickly glanced around to make sure all the people involved in the shooting were still out and unexpectedly kissed him, the coffee flavour on his lips mixing with her nude lipstick.
“Now go on posing, nothing happened!”
Nothing could swipe Mason’s smirk off his face as he brushed his thumb over his lips that now tasted like her.
“Yeah...nothing happened”
Mixing work and private life wasn’t something they were willing to do but sometimes breaking the rules has that forbidden charm that brings to one’s soul the highest of delights and that’s a risk worth taking.

You promised yourself that you would never be in this situation.
This is the kind of situation you told your best friends to avoid. It’s basic girl code, telling them not to be stupid in going back to their ex. You know it never ends well. Most of the time anyways.
Most of the time they end up falling for their bullshit and then that causes them hurting even more.
You know right now, you are a dumbass.
Your relationship with Mason ended shortly after Christmas.
It’s bad enough you saw it coming but you didn’t expect it to happen quickly after Christmas as the way he broke up with you, you thought he would want to mend things. Things that haven’t been easy in your relationship the last few weeks. You thought he wanted to apologise for being a dick.
Before the World Cup, you both knew the relationship was falling short. However, you were determined to make it work. No matter how had you tried, you couldn’t afford losing him.
You tried to support him in every way possible. Travelling to Qatar, showing your moral support. You also suggested couples therapy, tried to get him to talk about his feelings he was keeping inside. And everything else that was on the list. Making you feel useless at times.
Mason however, wasn’t having any of it. He liked to feel like he could take care of himself. He knew he was pushing you away and he didn’t want to but this is what it has come to and he can’t stop himself now.
In Qatar, there wasn’t much you could do with him not being able to see everyday with the World Cup consequences. Which you understood. You tried looking at the positives, maybe time apart from you would make him realise how much he misses having you around and helping him out. You thought he would he would take his time to think about how shitty he has been with you the last couple of weeks leading up to the World Cup. To your surprise, it was the complete opposite. Mason came to the conclusion it would be better if the two of you went separate ways.
The night you two broke up, well when he broke up with you, always replayed in your head.
-
“I think we should break up,” Mason started to say, showing no emotion on his face whatsoever.
“What?” you definitely wasn’t expecting this.
He had planned a a nice romantic evening or so you thought. The dinner table was elegantly decorated, with rose petals and candles around the table, with two glasses of wine, which you dismissed because you didn’t feel like drinking.
You thought the best of things, thinking that he’d apologise for his behaviour these last couple of weeks. Instead he did all this to break up with you.
“I want you to know don’t think I don’t love you because I do, it’s just the things that’s happening this season, I can’t love you the same when I’m feeling like shit.”
“You’re having one bad season and you’re throwing me out of your life?!” You asked confusedly and annoyed. “You’ve had problems before but this was never the solution!”
“Y/N you don’t understand. This is my life, I have to try and help and the tea-”
“This is not your life!!” You snapped. “It’s what you do for a living, big difference Mason.”
‘It is now okay?! Everything else seems like a distraction!”
“I’m a distraction? Your girlfriend who has been trying to help you for weeks is a fucking distraction? Are you fucking kidding me?” That hurt. It hurt how little to no appreciation he showed for your effort. The tears that you tried to hold in just fell. Maybe it could’ve been from sadness but now you were just mad.
Mad at him.
“Baby,” he sighed trying to ease the tension. Both of you had arguements before but it was never like this. He’s now thinking of throwing the years you had together, which you thought of convincing him to not to do this but it was useless and once he makes his mind up there’s no going back.
“You have no right to call me that anymore. You’ve clearly made up your mind.” You snapped.
“I’m sorry, okay. I didn’t word that right. But you need to understand me.”
“Understand what? That your job is more important than me and everything else in your life? That all the things I’ve done for you in the past meant nothing? Our relationship was for nothing? And that I mean nothing to you?!” You managed to say In between your sobs that you have been keeping in for too long, and this was your thirteenth reason.
You couldn’t hold it in anymore.
Mason stepped closer to you and tried to hug you which you refused at first, but you always found yourself giving in, in the end. This could be your last hug ever so you wanted to treasure it. Wanted to get close to him. Wanted to smell his aftershave that was lingering on his clothes. Wanted him to run his hands up and down your back for comfort.
All for the last time.
You could feel his tears dropping on your shoulder. This couldn’t have been easy for him too. Although you know he’s doing wrong but you also know the past year hasn’t been the best for him and no matter how much this is hurting you, you also know he’s hurting too. “I’m so sorry, my love. I know you think this is easy to do but i promise you it’s not. I love you so much and if it’s meant to be I’m sure we’ll find our ways back to each other soon.” He pulled away from the hug and held the sides of your face, planting a kiss on your forehead. His lips lingering on your forehead a lot longer than anticipated which relaxed your mind for a second.
“I’m going to go gather my things and go.” You sniffled.
Mason just nodded in response and let you get to it. You go into your shared bedroom, where you gathered most of your things, one thing that made you break down instantly was your scrapbook you made for his 21st birthday. It was his first birthday you celebrated with him and it was special too, so you wanted to make it memorable. You flicked through the book where you come across the first page which was the first picture you took together, him positioned behind you, his head buried in your neck while you looked so happy. The happiest you’ve been in a long while, you forgot what that felt like.
This book was meant to be what you show your future children, but you didn’t get that far ahead. You hesitated in whether to take it or leave it with him. However you decided to take it with you as you felt like he wouldn’t look back at it.
Once you finally got your things together, you looked back at your shared room which was now Mason’s for one last time. The good times you had in there would be looked back at for sure, at least for you anyways.
Mason who was waiting for you to be done was on the sofa, his head in between in his hands. When he saw you were coming out of the room he offered to help with your luggage but you refused.
“You can stay here for a little while once you get sorted out if you want?” Mason mumbled.
“I think it’s too late for that Mase. Thank you though.” You said as you walked to the front door and remembered that his front door key was in your bag which you handed to him. There was a keyring with the photo of the two of you on there. You walked towards the door until you heard Mason speak again.
“Y/n wait a second,” you looked back at him, hoping he would say this is a mistake and he wants to start fresh with you but was that the case? Nope. “Where are you going to go? It’s late. I don’t want you wondering about at this time of night.” He asked genuinely worried for you.
But you couldn’t help but answer coldly as this wasn’t his problem anymore. You weren’t his problem anymore. “You have no right to worry about that anymore. You start your life from scratch and forget what I ever meant to you. If I ever did mean anything to you. Good luck with the future, Mase.” You choked out.
Quickly, you got out of the door but you weren’t sure how much more you could hold your tears in for. Opening the boot to put all of your things in the back before you got into the drivers seat and drove away from his house for the last time.
There was tears streaming down your face the entire journey, luckily you still had your own flat that you didn’t end up getting rid of, but it’s been a while since you been in there so it will be weird at first but you’ll have to get used to it. After all this was your life from now on.
During your journey to your now new (old) home, you looked back on all the positives that your relationship had. For example; when he took you away just because he felt like it that was also when he said ‘I love you’ for the first time and you were wondering what you did to deserve this man. Now you were wondering what you did to deserve the situation he put you in.
‘Where in the relationship did we go wrong?’ You thought. You always thought you made him happy. But clearly not if he felt like he needed to chuck you out of his life like that. You clearly weren’t as important to him as you thought you were.
When you got to your old flat, as soon as you walked through the door, it’s like you were almost looking for a feeling of home come to you. But that wasn’t the problem. The problem was that it was Mason who made it feel like home. And now you had to live without him.
You had started talking to Mason in the most weird ways ever, you were going through so much at the time so him coming into your life during the most hardest times of your life you would describe it as was truly a blessing in disguise.
Let’s recap to that day..
-
It was one of those days.
One where you felt like God was never on your side, trying to understand what you did to deserve the last few days of chaos you’ve had.
Eyes closed. Trying to remain calm, steadying your mind and the pace of your breathing.
It had been a long day. You had just come back from the hospital 45 mins ago. No that wasn't your job, your mum had been admitted to hospital after having a traumatic car crash as you'd call it.
On Saturday night she was on the way back from dinner with her friends, until a drunk driver crashed into her and she remained unconscious up until Tuesday morning for a few minutes and remained unconscious again.
When you first got a call from the hospital your first instant reaction was shock and denial because as far as you'd known your mum was all about being a safe driver and she was always scolding you to drive safe. It hadn't settled in until you had seen her. All your emotions started crashing down at once.
You felt a bit helpless and guilty by not being able to do anything to help her, and you were losing hope slowly but deep inside you, you knew your mum will power through this, she's a strong woman after all. After having to raise 6 children when your father left you at a young age deciding that he wanted nothing to do with you, if she could go through that alone, you had hope that she'd get through this.
You couldn't help but feel alone. All your siblings were in their own little bubble and you didn't want to disturb them and you know that they wouldn't care because all of you were all so close but you couldn't help feel like you were burdening them.
All of you were equally upset, each one of them had their own distraction to help not think about this, but you had taken days off to visit your mum during hospital hours and just pour you heart out even though she hadn't had her eyes open you knew she could hear you.
Days prior to this, you had been struggling with your emotions already.
You had given your notice in for work because the environment was becoming so toxic and this guy at work would non stop harassing you until you couldn't take it anymore, mentally it was taking a toll on your mental health. Your ex had gotten back into contact with you repeatedly changing numbers, making different social media accounts to contact you, after numerously blocking him.
Overall you felt like crap, you didn't want to tell your friends about this because you felt like you were asking for sympathy when you didn't want that and you felt like they were all happy within their lives and you didn't want to burst that with your sad feelings.
So you just put a fake smile on your face which was believable to people, and when you were alone tears wouldn't stop flowing.
You hated yourself for not being strong enough.
The peace and quietness lasted about 2 minutes before a message came through your phone. You instantly thought it was someone from the hospital updating you about your mum but this message had confused you even further
Anna?
You most definitely weren't Anna and you most certainly didn't have a date today.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Imagine you can see the face. Thank you😌)
It was like an addiction messaging each other, you just couldn’t stop. It was flirty banter most of time, he arranged for you to first meet him at a small cafè because he was eager to see you, and this meeting made you feel something for him, even more than you did.
The next meeting you decided to count it as a date, and ever since then you didn’t look back.
He was seriously a blessing in disguise. Your mum was getting better, you got a new job and you couldn’t be more happier that everything finally was starting to fall into place.
-
Over the months since your breakup you tried to forgive and forget; Forgive because he genuinely did have a lot going on and you also knew his passion for football and maybe you just need to find your way back to each other once the time is right. Forgetting about him and what he meant to you was the hardest thing to do.
It’s been five months now since your breakup and not a day goes by without thinking about him. You just had to remind yourself that he’s probably not thinking about you anymore and he’s probably moved on and as much you wanted him to tell you that he wanted you back probably wasn’t the case. Which hurt you deeply thinking about it but if that’s what helps you to move on then so be it.
The first month was incredibly difficult for you, wanting to text him every hour of the day to try and work things out, even though he ended it you wanted him to fight for you, you once thought you meant the whole world to him, and now acted like you were strangers.
His friends had found out about the break up and checked in on you to see how you were doing. They didn’t see it coming, especially Ben, he thought he was head over heels for you and he was always going on about how perfect his relationship is. Ben insisted on talking some sense into him but you refused, not wanting to force his way back to you, you’d much rather him come back to you when he was ready.
Whenever that was.
At this point you were starting to think that it would only happen in your dreams.
You felt a like crap and thought you were being over dramatic, thinking that Mason’s probably isn’t doing the same and moping over this, so over the next two months you tried pushing him out of your mind and start focusing on your mental health and yourself, getting your self love back.
Saffie, Libby and Imogen, who had been your support system since helped you through it and you couldn’t be more grateful. They also were shocked about the break up but as of right now you didn’t care. You had come to terms with that it wasn’t meant to be and you tried convincing yourself that you were fine with it.
When you moved in with Mason, it was difficult to see them, as they lived out of town and at the time things were just getting hectic that you didn’t have the time, even though you hadn’t seen each other for a while you had still kept each other updated on every little detail.
Tonight, you were going on a night out with your girls. It had been a while since you had a girls night and you couldn’t wait because you had missed your girls.
“Cheers!! I want to make a toast to Y/N. I want you to know that you’re the most strongest person I know and you don’t need no mannn that makes you feel like shit!!” Libby screamed through the loud music that was playing at the club, and you all took a sip of your cocktails. You promised to yourself and the girls that wouldn’t cry tonight and so far you were failing but you decided to blink the tears away and have the time of your life with your besties. It’s the least you deserved.
-
You don’t know how you got here but you’re not complaining.
You barely make it inside the house. As soon as you both are nside, you’re kissing, making out against the front door. Pushing him back, desperately wanting more, trying to suck every last drop out of the love that is still left.
You’ve missed him. Missed him so much.
“We shouldn’t do this,” Mason pants, pulling away, framing your face with his hands, and you nod.
“No, but it feels good, doesn’t it?” You say with a grin, that’s all your willpower gone out of the window.
Mason grins at you. Just like he used to; it’s just like it used to be.
“Fuck yes. Let’s go upstairs.”
You knows this will only hurt you in the morning but you can’t resist, you’ve missed him, missed how he feels, how he tastes. And all that matters right now is that your legs are wrapped around Mason’s waist and the way he groans when you push yourself into him.
Fuck, it feels good.
It’s not a long, drawn out fuck, no changing positions, no words. It’s not hasty either, but it’s desperate, both of them fighting for the perfect angle, chasing their release, needing it.
Still, it’s loving. The way Mason’s hand is in the exact right spot on your back, the way they kiss, breathlessly moaning into each others mouths. And the way they lock eyes, reading each other’s faces.
They’ve done this many times - spent so many nights entangled, making each other moan and pleasuring themselves. They know this, every part of it is familiar.
It happens too quickly, but you wouldn’t have the strength to prolong it anyways. It’s too much, there is not a single clear thought in your head as you kiss Mason through his climax.
“It will hurt more tomorrow,” Mason whispers when you pull him closer under the blanket. You know he’s not just talking about you aching. His tone is soft, laced with a shadow of a sorry, his hand gently stroking your arm, the gesture putting you to sleep.
-
When you woke up it was around four AM you weren’t surprised to find yourself sleeping next to someone but you couldn’t pinpoint on who it was as you were too drunk and didn’t remember a single thing about your one night stand as you rarely have them, silently cursing yourself for drinking too much.
This room seemed familiar to you though, you don’t know if your mind was playing tricks on you or if it was actually familiar to you. That was until the person next to you turned to face you, still asleep and you were met with none other than Mason.
You shot up at the exact second, accidentally waking up Mason doing so. “Y/N, what’s wrong? Let’s get back to sleep yeah?” Mason says in a sleepy voice but you were still in a state of shock of how this happened, you were about to reply until you turned around to face him to see him asleep again.
How did you let this happen.
You went downstairs to compose yourself with a glass of water and watched your reflection on his window.
‘You stupid idiot. Why did you do this to yourself?’ You thought. The more you thought about everything that had happened last night, how much you missed him touching you, kissing you, tears were forming because it just wasn’t fair that he was making you feel like this.
In the middle of your thoughts, Mason entered the kitchen. He wrapped his arms around your waist, buried his face in your neck, kissing it repeatedly. “Baby, why are you here? It’s 4am,” he whispered in your ear. You were just staring blankly outside at his patio, tears threatening to fall. Your lip started wobbling.
How could you be so dumb? He starts seducing you whilst drunk and it worked so easily he had you right where he wanted. You were never that girl to have one night stands, but this one felt like one because you knew what Mason’s decision was.
“Listen, you were drunk. We both had a little too much to drink. I saw you in the club alone, I don’t know where your friends were and you looked like you had a little too much to drink. I offered to take you home but you mentioned you left your keys with Imogen because you know how clumsy you can be and lose them. So I took you back to mine and I don’t know how it happened but there was sexual tension in the air and we both started kissing and one thing led to another, but I want you to know it doesn’t mean anything to me.” Mason said so confidently.
You needed a moment to hear the last sentence alone, but you wanted him to think that were coping well without him because he had moved on and somehow you needed to do the same, but after last night it’s become hard again. It’s like having sex with him has brought your feelings back again but it doesn’t matter because he doesn’t feel the same about you anymore, even though when you broke up he told you that he’ll always love you. You guessed that was lie.
You wanted it to mean something to him, you wanted him to ask for you back. You wanted him to fight for you.
Which will only happen in your dreams by the looks of it.
You wondered if he ever loved you? Now you just believed what your negative thoughts were telling you.
“I’m going to get my stuff and leave,” you said with a lump in your throat and glossy eyes.
Mason saw the expression on your face and was the sick of the sad expression you had on your face and he snapped, “Okay. Don’t expect me to stop you then. I have moved on.”
It’s like this was a different man in front of you, you don’t remember getting to know this guy, you don’t remember falling in love with him. The Mason you remember falling in love with wouldn’t let you go without a fight. You weren’t going to let him treat you like this so you snapped back. “Yeah because you sleeping with me last night really tells me that you’ve moved on doesn’t it?” You rolled your eyes.
“It was a mistake! I told you, I was drunk, you were drunk, one thing led to another and it’s a regret of mine now letting you think that you’ll ever get close to me again. Maybe, just maybe if you weren’t so needy all the damn time we could’ve given this a second chance.” Mason frustratedly said, with what he said, sounded like you hurt him, when he was the one to break up with you. It just didn’t make any sense to you.
You wished he hadn’t pushed you away. You pushed past Mason to get your things, not wanting to stay here a minute longer.
Mason stayed quiet, knowing what he said was wrong but in the heat of the moment it just came out. Once you came out of his room and got your things ready, you walked out his front door whilst he watched you leave.
-
It had been two nights since that night you encounter with Mason, you started thinking outside of box and tried moving on as he had, it was lot harder than you thought it would be. Maybe because the Mason you saw two nights ago was a completely different person in front of you.
Tumblr media
Maybe if you went on a few dates it would help? You thought.
You never did see yourself separating from Mason, but that’s how things currently were and you had to accept that. You decided to scroll on Twitter for bit and what first came up on suggested posts surprised you a little because you weren’t expecting that when you opened the app.
To say you were more than hurt to see how he’s moved on quickly, but also you were convinced that the paparazzi make things worse from what they were. You experienced it when you were with Mason, so part of you were hoping that this girl pictured with him was just a friend but looking at the picture it was telling you something else.
You know it has been more than a few months that you’ve broken up now but a part of you wasn’t ready to let go. But you always promised yourself that if you saw Mason happy with another person you would be happy for him no matter how much it hurt you inside and you weren’t going to ruin his happiness.
That’s if this article was true.
Now you needed to move on because it seemed like Mason wasn’t going to come back to you by the looks of things and you need to accept that.
-
Mason didn’t know how to feel when the paparazzi photos came out, first of all the pictures were completely misleading to what they actually were.
He wasn’t on a date.
The only thing he was doing was playing Cupid, and setting this girl up with his mate, Ben. When Mason spotted Y/N on a night out with her friends, he was with Ben and a few of his other friends. This girl caught Ben’s attention but he was too much of a scaredy cat to go up to her. He thought he missed his chance.
That was until, the girl, Chloe, reached out to Mason on DMs and asked if they could meet to talk things through. He knew Ben wouldn’t dare to ask her outright, so they planned to call it a ‘blind date’ because Chloe actually had her eyes on Ben and it turns out that when she was about to go up to him that night he had disappeared, she couldn’t find him but she also knew Mason was good friends with Ben so she’s shooting her shot the long way.
Mason still deeply loved Y/N, he only said he moved on because he wanted Y/N think he’s doing okay without her. He really doesn’t know why he started pushing her away, and he regrets it because all he wanted know is Y/N between his arms. He would do everything for their relationship to be normal again, but instead he had to fuck it up.
Mason won’t be stupid enough to lose you again at any given chance. He was already stupid enough to know what life was like without you and he’s not risking that again.
He knew he needed to fix this.

when two became three - mason mount x reader
Tumblr media
Your eyes snapped open as you felt your stomach start to churn. Remaining still, you tried to see if you could wait out the horrible feeling, hoping it would pass. It was a quiet morning, and the intention was that you could remain wrapped in your lovers arms as long as you liked that day. But your stomach had a different idea, and it apparently wasn't going away, evidenced by the nausea that was quickly overwhelming you.
Trying to be gentle as possible, you wiggled out of Mason's arms and started heading, sprinting actually, to the bathroom to empty the contents of your stomach. You could barely wait for the door to open before getting down on your knees and leaving over the toilet and emptying everything you had in your stomach. You hadn't realised that Mason had followed you; apparently you made more noise than you originally intended. He squatted down behind you before softly pulling your hair back and out of your face, murmuring soft things to you as you heaved.
"You're sick again," he observed quietly as you finally finished being sick and sat down on the floor, wiping your mouth with a tissue. He sat next to you, pausing only for a moment before pulling you into his lap, giving the side of your head a kiss, "Are you all right?"
"I think so," you sighed as you rested your head against his chest, "must have been something I ate. I don't see what else it could be, or it's just some kind of stomach bug."
"It's been happening a lot lately," he said softly, and you knew he was right. More often than not lately had you found yourself running and throwing up in the mornings, all kinds of different things causing your stomach to sour. "Maybe it's something you should get checked out?" Mason said softly before hugging me from behind, nuzzling his face into my shoulder before placing a kiss on my neck.
"I'm sure it's nothing," you tried to reassure him, looking up at him and nuzzling your noses against his, "it's probably something that's just hanging on and will clear up on its own."
"Y/N, my love, I don't want to take the chance that it is nothing," he insisted, putting his hand under your chin so you were looking up at him, seeing that there was nothing but concern in his soft brown eyes, "please promise me that you'll get it checked out. If not for your sake, then do it for mine."
"How can I say no to you?" You decided it was easier to give in to his simple request than try and fight him on it. Perhaps he had a point anyway, maybe it was something more to it than you originally thought, "I promise that I'll go and get it checked out and we'll see what's going on."
The following afternoon you found yourself getting through the crowded city in London making your way to the doctors. You walked up to the counter where you found the receptionist sitting there, setting your hands on the counter anxiously, "hi I was wondering if it was possible to see a doctor?"
"Of course! You've come at a good time, we're actually slow today," she smiled at you. Part of you wouldn't have minded if you were turned away and could return to Mason and pretend you'd got checked out and that nothing was wrong. But you knew he would be able to see right through you either way, he knows you too well.
"What's been going on?" The doctor asked, "I've been getting sick a lot lately," you started to explain, "mostly in the mornings, sometimes throughout the day. Just general nausea. I just want to make sure it's nothing serious. My husband was getting concerned too."
"Oh," the woman smiled at you, almost in a knowing way as she scribbled down a few notes, "go ahead and take a seat. I'll have someone with you in a few minutes."
Before you knew it, you were sitting on an examination table, swinging your legs back and forth as y Ou waited for the doctor to return. She'd spent a few minutes talking to you before performing an examination that didn't last long. It was a most as she, just as the receptionist at the front, already knew what was going on. Part you felt like it was just going to be something obvious, that should've easily been able to fig Ure on your own.
"Y/N," the doctor came back in, a smile on your face as she clutched her clipboard to her chest. She didn't seem worried, but rather happy, and you felt a bit of relief wash through your body, "You don't have anything to worry about. But I have one question for you."
"Go ahead."
"What is the date of your last menstrual cycle?" You were taken aback for a moment before trying to think of the date, racking your brain. That's when you realised you couldn't remember. It hadn't been last month, the month before that.
"Ermm," you said as you hung your head, "I honestly don't remember. It must have been at least-"
"Three months?" She asked and you nodded in response. How had it been that long and you hadn't noticed? It had always come like clockwork every month, except recently. You should've noticed, this was deal to miss, "Which I think you know what this means."
"Huh?" You asked as you still didn't manage to put two and two together, "I don't-"
"You're pregnant," she said as your jaw dropped at her announcement, "your about three months pregnant."
"Pregnant," you repeated, the word bouncing around in your head. Pregnant. Pregnant. Pregnant, "I can't be pregnant."
"Well, I'm here to tell you that you are," she pulled a few papers from her clipboard and handed them to, "this has all the details and information you need. There's going to be a lot of changes happening so there is plenty of information on that, and different options. I know you might be scared right now, but it'll be okay. You'll always have someone by your side to help you with whatever decision you make."
"Thank you," you hadn't realised that tears were welling in your eyes, from fear, excitement and relief now that you had your answer. You should have known all the signs that would lead up to this, how could you be stupid? The doctor put a hand on your shoulder and gave it a gentle, but reassuring squeeze,
"It's a lot. I feel like this is really obvious but I had no clue."
"Don't worry," she said with a wink, "a lot of people don't. It may seem obvious, but in the moment when it's happening to you, it's not obvious at all."
"Thank goodness," you said with a nervous laugh, "it's a lot to take in."
"Congratulations," she beamed at you, "I'm sure you must be excited to tell your husband."
"My husband," you repeated as realisation set in and you'd have to actually tell Mason. Besides, it wasn't something that you were just going to be able to ignore for much longer, and he's know anyway, he was perceptive as could be, "yes, that should be interesting."
"Is this your first?"
"Yes, it is our first, so all the emotions are kicking in right now."
"I'm sure you and your husband have so much to be excited for!" She said as she made a few notes on her chart, "well you're free to go, and make sure to come back and see us soon, to make sure to set appointments for regular check ups."
"Of course," you were still feeling shell-shocked as you tried to process everything, "I'll be sure to do that."
You got home to Mason startling you from behind.
"Y/N?" He asked as he came up behind you, wrapping his arms around your waist and resting his head on your shoulder, "you're home."
"I'm home," you smiled at the sound of his familiar voice, "where were you?"
"Just went out," he spun you around so you were facing him. He reached behind him on the counter and showed you a blooming bouquet of bright flowers, "getting you these. I figured they might help cheer you up since you haven't been feeling well.
You felt your heart melt before you kiss Mason and give him a tight hug, "my handsome. Thank you so much, seriously. You have no idea what it this means to me."
"It's because I love you so much," Mason reached over and brushed a lock of hair out of your face.
"I love you too," you said as you leaned into his touch, having rested his hand on your cheek.
"How did it go with the doctor? Did you find out what's been going on?" He asked and you nodded in response. Of course he was going to ask right away, he was probably more concerned than you were. You thought about lying to him so you could surprise him, but didn't have it in your heart, knowing he would call you out about it right away.
"I did, yeah," you answered, giving him a small nod,"it's nothing bad."
"What's going on then?" He asked, trying to get you to look at him, "what happened, sweetheart?"
You suddenly felt nervous, unsure of how to spit it out and just tell him the news. It was just two simple words, but you somehow they seemed like the hardest ones, "it's just that I'm...."
"What is it?" He asked softly, as he gave you a smile, his dark eyes soft. You loved everything about him, but in that moment it all seemed intensified; Mason really was your everything. Before you could stop yourself, you leaned over and pecked his lips, lingering against them for just a moment. He chuckled as he put an arm around your waist, "come on, tell me, you've got me on pins and needless here!"
"I'm pregnant," you blurted out before you could stop yourself, a hand going to your mouth in surprise.
Mason looked at you stunned for a moment for a moment, his brow furrowing as a look of confusion crossed his features. He remained silent for a moment as he went through about ten different emotions all at once.
"Pregnant," he repeated as he tested the word out, seeing how it sounded coming from his own lips, "pregnant? You're pregnant."
"Yes," you said as you tried to figure out whether or not he was happy, "please tell me you're not upset."
"Upset?" He asked quietly as you gave him a small nod, the back of your eyes stinging with tears, "I'm not upset, not in the slightest. I'm happy, my love, so fucking happy."
"You are?" You asked as a single tear rolled down your cheeks, only to be quickly wiped away by Mason, "I'm so scared."
"It's okay to be scared," he said as his own eyes started to get glassy, "I"m scared too, but it'll be okay. Everything will be perfect, because we're having a baby. We're having a baby. I love you so much, Y/N."
Mason pulled you close to him and rested his forehead against yours, one of his favourite signs of affection, "I can't believe this is happening. Everything is perfect, I couldn't have asked for anything better."
"I'm glad you're happy, Mason," you said quietly, "I love you so much."
"I am and I love you," he whispered back, "more than anything else in the world. The two of you, referring to the unborn baby in your stomach"

You’re the other woman
Pairing : Mason Mount x reader
Theme : Fluff
I saw a tiktok video and thought it would be fun to come up with a short blurb with Mason. Enjoy! I haven’t proofread so I apologize for any mistakes.
Mason and you decided to be a cat parents because of your enormous obsession for them. It took you quite a while to persuade him but after a few attempts and fake tears, he finally gave in and boy, you were so ready to visit the shelter right there and then.
“Oh my god, Mase! Look at this one. It says ‘My past owner returned me back because I was too cuddly. I’m sorry…’ I’m gonna cry.” You bit on your bottom lips and felt your heart clenched at what you just read. Whatever the shelter did was clearly working on you because right now, you sworn you would have had all these cats loaded in Mason’s car if it wasn’t for him to stop you from doing so.
“Baby, you cried for the other cat we saw earlier as well. People gonna think we just had a fight.” He snaked his arm around your waist and planted a kiss on the side of your head. “Come on, let’s go further down.”
After what felt like days at the shelter, Mason and you decided to adopt a 4 years old tabby cat and named it Moori. Moori was well known amongst Mason’s fans because whenever they saw your Instagram story update, what they thought they would have gotten boyfriend pictures of Mason turned out to be pictures of Moori doing some random things most of the time.

What they didn’t know was that while you were obsessed with your furry child, she was actually a daddy’s girl. Whenever Mason laid down on the couch, she would immediately followed him and tucked herself under his chin to sleep. Even when she had her eyes closed, she would always replied back whenever Mason talked to her. She would sticked by his side whenever and wherever it seemed like he put her under a spell.
It was a random night when you decided to stand your phone against the couch to record a video of you cuddling Moori when she gave you a side eye for standing in front of her.
“Babe, I can’t believe she’s giving me a side eye. Look at her!” You gasped in shock and tilted your head to catch Mason’s gaze from the kitchen.
“Baby, move. We are in a middle of a conversation and you are blocking her way.”
“I can’t believe you.” Stepping aside, you were now no longer in the video frame as all it could capture was a shot of Moori looking at Mason who was in the kitchen with full of admiration.
“Have Moori had her little lunch?” Mason asked, talking as if he was talking to Mia.
She chirped back in response.
“Yeah? What did mommy feed you? Did she give you treats for being a good girl? No?”
She replied again with repeated meows.
“Poor baby. Come here, daddy will give you your favourite treats and cuddles.”
That was when she hopped off her cat bed and ran off to the kitchen, leaving you and your phone recording the whole scene. The recorded video was then being uploaded on your Tiktok account because you couldn’t help but found her squishy little face so adorable when she looked at Mason. Even when you knew doing so would have made you went from the main girl in the household to the other woman but you weren’t even mad because how could you?

they want us to be - m.mount
Tumblr media
masterlist
pairing: Mason mount x fem!reader
warnings: angst + me having a lack of knowledge of the transportation systems of Europe
a/n: yeah I’m sorry about this one..
the train ride in from London to Manchester was long and brutal. you’d think somewhere along the lines you’d just move half way in between your best friend and your current job, but moving in this economy was proven to be rather difficult. so the train it was.
the cities and empty towns pass by you in a whirl and before you know it you’re the next stop: Manchester. you’d gathered an overnight bag that feels weightless as you pick it up and move out of your seat towards the exit. you thank the man who helps you off and find his car. it doesn’t take long, it’s the most expensive one in the parking lot.
“hey!” his head snaps up from his phone, whatever it was becomes completely irrelevant once you’re in the warm car and tossing your back in front of your feet.
letting out a long sigh you take a look over at him. his hair still has patches of blond showing and the buzz cut is much shorter than you last had seen it. “hey,” you let out finally. leaning over the center counsel you wrap your arms around him, “why’d you cut your hair?” you gently run your finger tips over the rough ends of his hair before he quickly pulls away, a blush creeping to his cheeks.
“you don’t like it?”
“I’ve expressed my dislikes for it many times.” you’d recall for him the last time he’d cut it short, you couldn’t look him in the eyes without laughing and you’d think he’d learned his lesson that the look wasn’t meant for him, yet without your supervision Mason still went ahead and did so.
“yeah well you’re not my girlfriend so you don’t make the calls.” his bitter tone shuts you up. you result back into looking out the window much like you did the whole train ride here. was this how it was going to be?
LAST TIME | Manchester
“come on, come on! say it again, please.” you laugh, your body leans forward against the wooden table tops as you wait for masons giggle fit to end before he turns serious and does his best impression of his coach on the sidelines.
“you’re getting really good at it.” you lie, or maybe it was flirting. the alcohol in your system had you looking at Mason differently than normal, and it’s not you to blame when he wears a tight black shirt and grey sweatpants that could have any girl swooning in admiration of his biceps.
“am I? I only learn from the best impersonator myself.” he gestures to you in front of him, “give me your best Ben impression, I forgot what he sounds like.”
“you chatted with him on the phone two hours ago!”
it’s his turn to lean in, his hands pressed against the cool table tops as he watches you take a swig from your pint of beer, “and I’ve seemingly forgotten what he sounds like! come on, do it!”
rolling your eyes you give him what he wants and a roar of laugher escapes from him. the sound fills your heart and makes your chest feel fuzzy and your head starts to spin. was this what it felt like to fall in love? was the feeling of falling supposed to be this intoxicating?
“is it crazy I miss London?” he looks up from the empty pint in front of him, his hands awkwardly cup the glass trying to find anything to occupy the numbness in his chest when he mentions his previous home. while Manchester was beautiful and different, you didn’t live here. you lived a train away and that killed him.
“I don’t think it’s crazy, mase. this was a big change— and may I mention a good change.” you reach across the table, your sweaty palm touches the back of his hand and pulls his attention away from the table.
“I guess I just miss you.”
oh. you feel a tightness in your chest as you pull your hand away and sink against the back of the chair.
“I shouldn’t of said that I’m sorry—“
“no. don’t apologize.” you cut him off, “I miss you too.”
a relief washes over his face to hear the words back. there’d been plenty of new friends and faces for him to kindle a connection with, but no one could hold a candle to what you two had. there was an undeniable chemistry that sparked since your teen years and carried on, it’s what made you two inseparable despite the commute.
“I’m sorry, I’m being like the worst drunk ever.”
you shake your head. reaching your hand across the table again, “don’t say that. come on, let’s just go to bed? maybe we just need sleep.” you suggest and he agrees. he trails behind you into his master bedroom that’s practically untouched. the space is so clean and barely lived in, it’s almost uncomfortable to look at.
“will you sleep with me? I don’t think I can be alone right now.” his finger tips grab a hold of your hand, the warmth sends a shock wave through your body making you turn in his direction. he’s standing in the doorway of the bedroom, his large body blocks you from seeing the rest of the room as his eyes plea for your attention.
“mase, that’s dangerous.” you warn. the last time you’d slept in the same bed was the same night he’d gracefully taken your virginity and ever since then you could never see him naked without your ovaries having a reaction to him.
he wets the bottom of his lip with his tongue, his beautiful brown eyes are glassy and convincing, you press your lips against his for a brief second, “I’ll stay until you fall asleep.”
“can’t you stay with me forever?” he whispers half jokingly but half serious. you pretend you don’t hear him and just climb into his bed while he undresses himself.
“I mean what I said. I want you with me forever.”
NOW | Manchester
“pint or glass?”
“glass.” you say setting your things down into the living room and waiting for Mason to come back in. you stare out the large floor to ceiling windows out at the city. the grey clouds and dark skies feel different here, in London you felt safer from the storms, but here? there was something chilling about the look.
“how’s Ben? anything new happening with Chelsea?” he moves into the living room and sets your glass down on a coaster. he takes the seat closest to where you’re standing and watches your eyes move from cloud to cloud and person to person.
“joão left.”
“so I’ve been told.” he says making your head turn in his direction and offer him a small smile before taking the seat next to him.
“but Bens good, he just moved into my building.”
a shocked expression lights his face making you snort, “what? you’re surprised we get along now?”
he nods his head enthusiastically, “yes! it took months for you two to get along!”
“months?! I’d say weeks, he always had a problem with me.”
it’s masons turn to snort making you give him a look of surprise, “he just had a thing for you and then he realized you only like me so he gave up.”
you fight the urge to tell him it wasn’t true. you fight the urge to tell him the reason Ben moved in was because he was with you. the reason you couldn’t stay with Mason forever was because Ben chilwell was your idea of forever.
“well I think he still has a thing for me.”
Mason rolls his eyes whipping out his phone from his pocket, “you want me to tell him off? I can tell him you still have feelings for Christian—“
“no! oh my god one time! I said one time I liked Christian for a week!” you launch your body onto his and try to fight him for the phone while he types and clearly whoever it was, it wasn’t Ben. because the person on the other end responded faster than your boyfriend actually would.
“who are you actually texting?” you press, a cheeky grin on your face, “come on, I know it’s a girl none of your mates respond that fast!”
he puts his hands up as a white flag and admits from start to finish about the new girl he was talking to. he’d mentioned how she was awfully similar personality to yours and how he really liked her, but he fails to admit she’s not you. he likes her enough to keep things going, but she lacks the personality you have.
“I’m so happy for you.” you whisper, voice sounding breathless and a mixture of emotions settled into your chest. you’re happy for him, and this is exciting news, but why did it hurt? Ben was your boyfriend who you so dearly loved, but why was Mason moving on the worst thing you could ever hear.
you guess it’s true, maybe you two were meant to be but you’d never know until you stop loving others and love each other.

relief ; (mason mount x reader)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
summary; you come home from college classes stressed out and mason reliefs you with other plans!
warnings; smut & fluff, (sorry for writing mistakes i didnt pre-read it)
note; i’m back again! i’m currently working on another fanfic that’ll be uploaded anytime now or just in this month. thank u for the support & enjoy! :,)
stress & working, that’s how your day went today. nothing but stress and a boring annoying day. you were in the shower just letting the water run down your body, you washed your face before grabbing the bottle of shampoo pouring some in your hand before scrubbing your head, you got near the water before washing off thr shampoo off your scalp. everything was quiet, you stood there in the shower just letting the water run down your body before you felt a pair of arms wrap around your waist as you flinched, “mase..” you said as he rested his chin on your shoulder, “thought i’d come by..i know something is wrong either way..” he said rubbing your waist as he pecked your neck, you smiled before turning around as you wrapped your arms around his waist, resting your head on his chest, he looked down at you pecking your forehead before you looked up at him as he looked at you.
you smiled as he held your cheek before kissing you, you kissed back as he held you by your waist, pinning you against the wall. he smiled at you before kissing you deeply as you kissed back, he slid his tongue into your mouth as you blushed heavily. he sucked on your tongue as you whimpered slightly into the kiss before he pulled away, planting wet kisses on your neck. “mase..” you said moving his hand away from your breast looking up at him as he looked at you, “come on..i’ll make it worth it..you’ll feel better please..” he said rubbing your ass as you blushed heavily, his hands moving to your inner thighs before nodding your head as you swallowed nervously. he cupped your cheeks again as he kissed you deeply holding your waist, you kissed back wrapping your arms around his neck.
he held your waist before picking you up, your arms wrapped around his neck as your lips stayed attached to him, your back hit the wall as you felt your body become warmer, your legs wrapping around his waist as he traced his lips down to your neck, sucking on your skin you moaned at the sudden sting holding onto his bicep as you leaned your head to the side giving him more space. he continued to kiss & nibble on your neck. whimpers & grunts leaving out of your mouth as he looked up at you & smiled, his lips moving down to your bare chest as he cupped your breasts, you chewed on the soft skin of your bottom lip as a pink tint formed on your cheeks. “i love them so much.” mason murmured pecking your left breast as he began to kiss around your nipple, rubbing your right nipple as you ran your hand down his damped hair.
he continued to kiss on your breasts, you rubbed your thighs together as a small moan escaped from your lips, “masonnn..pleasee..” you said ruffling his hair as he looked up at you giggling, you smacked his arm playfully as he lifted you up again. you cupped his cheeks kissing him, wrapping your arms around his neck as he kissed back holding you tightly before your legs wrapped around his waist, as his hand traveled down to your clitoral area rubbing your folds. you moaned in between the kiss as your hand traveled up his hair running your hand through his hair. he smirked in between the kiss before picking up your wetness with his fingers as he pumped himself slowly groaning in between the kiss grabbring his length slowly, as both your lips continued syncing as he lined himself against your entrance before inserting himself in. you moaned as you felt much warmer and butterflies in your stomach as he rubbed your waist before grinding his hips against you, you bit down on the soft flesh of your lip as you struggled to kiss back.
he pulled away from the kiss as he looked at you and your face features. you wrapped your arms around his neck as soft moans parted out your mouth, you held onto his biceps as he continued with the same pace, as he kept thrusting his hips slowly against you. “you’re sounds are so adorable princess..” he whispered in your ear as you moaned at his sentence, his hands held yours as he rested it against the glass door. your other hand holding onto his shoulder as he began to kiss on your neck, trying to quiet himself down. “move faster if you’d li-like baby..” you said cupping his cheek as he nodded his head, thrusting his hips quicker into you. you continued moaning uncontrollably from the previous pace as your moans started to become a bit louder from the angles he was pleasuring you with. you wrapped your legs tightly around his waist as he grabbed you by your ass before moving you towards infront of the shower head as the water ran down your body.
you felt the hot water hitting your warm body as he held onto your inner thighs, thrusting quicker still into you as your ass slapled against his inner thighs with each thrust. you ran your nails down his back as he groaned into your ear, you looked at him as the two of you looked into each others eyes. sparkles forming into your vision as your breathing got heavier, your palms of your hands cupping your boyfriends cheeks as he rested his forehead against yours, his breathing become quicker. you moaned uncontrollably as he kissed you messing around with your breasts, rubbing on your nipple, you kissed back wrapping your arms around his neck as your moans got muffled. he held onto your waist moving you up and down as you struggled to kiss back, you moved your hips up against his cock as it stretched you out inch by inch, moaning loudly.
“you’re doing s-so well babe.” he said as you nodded your head quickly holding onto his hand as you kept grinding your hips against him, before he thrusted up as you yelped digging your nail deep into his skin as he groaned loudly. “m-mason!” you moaned out as he thrusted into a different spot than usual, making you see stars&black little dots. you leaned your head back holding tightly onto his bicep as you started shaking, before you stopped your hip movements resting your head on his shoulder, trying to catch your breath as he began to thrust quickly again, slamming himself in and out out of you. you moaned loudly as your skin smacked against his inner thighs constantly, “fuck y/n! you’re getting tight..” he groaned out as you gripped onto his bicep tighter before he held onto your ass.
“my t-tummy.. i-i..feel..f-full..” you said as your stomach started becoming tight, you scratched his back as he began to thrust quicker and harsher into you, feeling your peak coming in as your moans slipping out became high pitched, “m-mase..i-i’m..cl..close..” you moaned out as he squeezed your ass tightly, you looked into his eyes as his pupils got darker, you swallowed nervously knowing what would happen next. going rough on you always happened when he was near his peak as well, your back hit the glass door as he shifted you, your bare breasts against the glass as he slammed himself in pounding roughly into you. you screamed out as he hit your g-spot, abusing it nonstop with his rough movements, your palms turning to fists as you held onto the glass door before he placed his hand ontop of urs holding it, as his other hand held onto your shoulder. you mewled his name out as you felt yourself closer and closer, “wait for me princess.” he said as you nodded your head quickly, your legs shaking uncontrollably trying to stable yourself as you felt mason twitch inside of you. you closed your eyes as you whined, “i-i ca..can’t!” you said as he turned you around lifting you up again, your legs wrapping tightly around his hips as he thrusted rougher into you.
you shook your head digging your nails into his shoulder as you whimpered in between your moans, as he continued thrusting into you before your juices squirted out as you screamed out in pleasure, shaking uncontrollably as you clenched tightly around him, “fuck princess!” he said as your tightness triggered his own orgasm as you felt the heat filling you up. your chest rising up and down quickly as your body shook from the long lasting orgasm, he looked at you as he kissed your cheek, you smiled lazily at him. as you rested your head on his shoulder. “told you..you’ll feel better.” mason said as you giggled still resting your head on his shoulder.
once he cleaned you both up & after finishing showering together, he got himself dressed as you were placed on the counter in the bathroom. he held you bridal style as he sat you down on the bed, you rubbed your eyes trying not to fall asleep as quick from exhuastion, “okay..arms up.” he said as you nodded your head lifting your arms up before he placed his shirt over your head, as you fixed it on you. you sat on your knees as you looked down at how big it was on you, before he grabbed a pair of your panties. “put them on and then we can sleep.” he said as you nodded your head putting on your panties. you laid down on the bed as he laid next to you, both of you under the sheets as you rested your head on his chest, “thank you for letting me help you with your stress..” he said as you hummed in response starting to doze off, he had his arm wrapped around you as he rubbed your back kissing your cheek, “i love you masey..” you said sleepy, he looked at you chuckling as he moved your hair out of your face, “mmh love you too princess..” he said pecking your forehead as you smiled before falling asleep.

When your mum called, you didn’t think twice.
She asked you to spend a week with her, and you accepted straight away, incapable of believing that your brother left her alone without warning you.
To be fair, you know you’re not on speaking terms with him, but it's your mother. How could he let her alone?
When you told Mason, you could see the insecurity on his face. Since you gave birth to your baby boy, you had never ever left the house without him, and leaving Manchester to go back to your mum’s in London was a big thing, but eventually he sighed and nodded.
“Just make sure you call me everyday” he kissed your forehead before kissing Leo. Just a week, you told him. In a week you would be back to your husband.
You met Mason at the Champions League final im the 20/21 season, and you like to say it was love at first sigh, the way your relationship instantly clicked is still surprising. You dated for a year before he asked you to be his wife, and you thinks you would’ve said yes another million times.
You’ve been together through the good enough season of 21/22, and all the shit of 22/23. You got pregnant in the middle of his last season for Chelsea, and Luke was born already in Manchester, in October.
Since Mason’s injury in November he’s been able to participate more, spending lots of time with his son as he doesn’t need to go to away games, and you know that this week away will make both of them sad.
You tried to tell yourself that since Mason is back at the regular training and ready to be back on the pitch, they would spend less time together anyway. It didn’t make the decision any easier.
When you packed for a week and got into the car, your husband helped to put Luke in the baby seat before kissing you lovely.
“Call me every night. Don’t let her be alone with Luke, please? And come back soon” he whispered against your lips, stroking your chin. “I love you”
“I love you” you kissed him, before reluctantly driving away from your husband.
Sundays are usually already sad and gray, but Mason is sure his just hit another level of depression.
It was already night when you got to your mum’s house, not talking much to her before settling on Matt’s old room and texting Mason.
You instantly found out that it would be a difficult week: it was the first time you were away from Mason since you gave birth, and the first time Luke had to sleep away from daddy.
The thing is that he couldn’t. You couldn’t put your baby to sleep, not even if your life depended on it. Luke kept loudly crying, tossing and squirming in your arms.
You tried your best to calm him, thinking it could have something bothering him like his current clothes or the weather difference, but not even breastfeeding calmed him down.
Mason tried to help you every time he FaceTimed you, and it was when Luke seemed to feel better but never lasted long.
You were feeling exhausted the whole week, but that didn’t stop your mother from asking you everything she could, like you were still fifteen years old with the responsibility of helping her to clean a house isn’t yours anymore.
Plus, she seemed incredibly bothered about Luke and the fact he wasn’t feeling well, dropping comments about him. You tried your best to ignore, because you know your mother isn’t the easiest person to live with, and since you were leaving soon you didn’t want to fight.
Wednesday night you were missing Mason like crazy, wanting nothing more than to be wrapped with him under the covers, and your heart twisted when his face showed up on your screen.
“Hi baby” Mason murmured, already tucked in bed and making your heart ache with the need of being there and snuggling with him.
“Hi Mase. How are you?”
“Training was fine, and I’m getting closer to come back” he smiled, and you instantly matched his expression.
“I can’t wait to watch you again, love”
You think that is adorable how Mason’s cheeks still got red when you show him affection.
“And how’s your week going?”
“It could’ve been better if I was with you. I miss you” you sighed. “But the week is almost over and I’ll be home soon”
“Good” he yawned, getting more comfortable. . “Show me my little man”
Luke was still wide awake and paying attention to what you were saying, and you showed Mason to him.
“Hi buddy, you’re being a good boy, yeah? Be good to mumma, please. I miss you”
When Luke babbled to him, Mason giggled before wishing you a good night and telling you he loved you.
When Saturday came your mother talked to you, saying Matt had some problem and he wouldn’t be back for another week, begging you to stay a little while. The hardest part was telling Mason about it.
“She needs me to stay for one more week, Masey” you murmured, feeling guilty. When Mason didn’t answer you tried again. “I’m sorry, baby. I’ll be home next Sunday”
“It’s okay. I was just hoping you’d be here for Liverpool’s game tomorrow, I think I’ll be subbed on. But it’s okay, you can travel to Brentford's game with Luke” he assured you. “I wish I could go see you during the international break, but they want me to stay in rehab”
“I’m really sorry baby, I tried to contact my brother but he’s being petty” you sighed.
“I understand, princess. I just miss you” he told you gently. “How’s my buddy going?”
“He’s good, he’s just so irritated lately, I think it’s his tooth” you sighed again, feeling tired. “He misses you”
“Poor bubba” Mason pouted, making you smile. “Give him a kiss yeah?”
“Sure” you smiled. “We’ll be back at the end of the week. I love you”
When the week unfolded, you weren’t sure about your decision anymore.
You choose to stay with your mother for one more week over living your husband’s comeback, and in gratitude she spent this time talking bad things about you.
It started with innocent comments. How she would never buy the clothes you were wearing. How you were raising a clingy kid by never letting him sleep alone. How you should breastfeed him less or your boobs would get flaccid.
You tried to shrug it off, like you did when you were younger. You used to believe that your mother was always right and that she was always the mature one, but you’re not so sure anymore.
During the second week you kept calling Mason every night, sharing about your day and showing him to Luke, who would try to grab the phone and put dads on his month. When, without a question if you could or wanted, the second week turned into a third, you could feel Mason losing his patience.
“It’s okay, you can still go to Brentford’s game this Saturday” he repeated, but it sounded like he was trying to convince himself instead. “You can bring Luke, Brentford is friendly. How is he doing?”
“He had a fever but he’s fine now” you showed Luke sleeping next to you, his face a little red.
“Let me know if something changes” Mason asked you, and his concerned look just proved you chose the right dad for your son.
You nodded to his image on the small screen, his adorable face almost hidden by the sheets, the bed looking incredibly big.
“Can we sleep on call?” you asked, missing him so much it was physically hurting you. Mason’s face softened and he nodded.
Some people might think that you could just go back home. If you really miss him you would do it, right?
But you know Mason understands your relationship with your mother, how you feel you owe her everything. She raised you, gave you everything you needed.
She was rough sometimes, yes. And there were days you didn’t feel loved at all, but she was still your mum, even when she couldn’t tell you she was proud, even when she couldn’t hug you during storms.
Even when she couldn’t believe you would be someone successful one day.
So you kept there, living your days boringly, washing the dishes and the clothes, playing with Luke, cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner. For her, so she would be happy and proud.
And you were losing your mind.
When Brentford's game came, you weren’t able to go. You apologised to him the day before, spending hours on the phone, and even though you could see the sad look in his eyes Mason was still comprehensive.
“She needs me to accompany her to the exam” you told him, and Mason himself could see you weren’t funny about your current situation; you just weren’t brave enough to hurt your mother the way she hurts you and leave.
You were able to watch the game when you came back from your mother’s exam and it wasn’t a surprise to you when Mason changed the whole game by being subbed on.
Luke was already sleeping, so you tried your best not to scream when your husband scored, tearing up to see he dedicated the goal to you by pointing to his ring finger.
You were able to talk with him only for a few minutes before he desperately needed to sleep, whispering that you was proud of him and the way his voice cracked when he told you he loved you made your heart hurt.
Following the week, you weren’t able to talk much with him. Only quick calls at night before he dozed off still holding his phone, feeling much more tired now that he’s back at attending games even though he doesn’t play the full match.
Your Wednesday started with Luke’s little sobs waking you up, and you were sure he wasn’t feeling well again. After breastfeeding and showering with him, you managed to get you both changed and ready to start the day.
When you got downstairs your mother was already in the kitchen, and you could hear her complaining that you were late.
“For what?” you surprised her, and despite being early in the morning she seemed grumpy already.
“For breakfast, what more could it be? I had to cook it myself” she snorted, and you took a deep breath before
“If you’re capable of it, I don’t see what’s wrong” you shrugged.
The truth is that you’re starting to wonder what he hell you’re doing there and why Matt hasn’t come back. What should be a week turned into a month and you was living her life instead of yours.
When you sat at the table for breakfast, after managing to cook your own meal with Luke in one of your arms, you had to take a deep breath as soon as she started to talk.
You’ve heard in silence when she talked about you and Luke, but never makes you more furious like when your mother decides to talk about Mason.
“He could spend more time in the gym” she told you, suddenly. “Your husband”
You were only capable of frowning at her, not understanding why she would brought this out of nowhere.
“What do you mean?”
“He could train more. Maybe some more muscles would make him prettier and better at football” she shrugged, making you laugh in disbelief.
“He’s already pretty and good at football”
“I don’t know, Y/N. I feel like he’s not the right man to you, and I want the best to my little girl”
Mason is the most caring and gentle man you’ve ever known, and you knew you couldn’t sit there and hear her talking shit about him day after day.
“Mum, you can’t be serious. He’s my husband. Not only this, but he’s Luke’s father. Don’t talk about him like that”
“Are you sure he doesn’t cheat on you?” she innocently asked, making you choke on your coffee.
“Mum!” you gasped, not believing what she was saying.
Luke’s eyes widened and you tried to recompose yourself so he wouldn’t cry out of fear
“I mean, he could have anyone… everyone. A skinny and tanned woman, with pretty features…”
There it was. The reason why you grew up so insecure, something that would annoy lots of men — but not Mason. Not your boy, who would reassure you every time and make you really believe that you’re pretty and loved.
Her words still stung though, but you shrugged them off.
“Mason loves me” was everything you told her before leaving the table with Luke.
You went out for a walk with your baby, trying to make the day pass faster and see if he’d feel better after some fresh air. When it started to get dark, you came back home and gave Luke a shower, laying in bed with him.
Later that night Mason called you like he always does, and you were happy to see his name shining on your screen.
“Hi baby” you whispered, but to your surprise he didn’t greet you back.
“How’s Luke?” Mason murmured, and you could sense the tiredness and loneliness in his voice. “Don’t you think you should bring him back home so we can get him to our doctor?”
“Yeah, that’s what I want to do. But I can’t leave my mum alone and Matt won’t answer the phone-”
But Mason had enough, and suddenly he lost his patience.
“And why, exactly, can’t you leave her alone, Y/N? Enlighten me, please. From what I can remember, she can do everything perfectly. She’s not sick, she’s not weak. She’s just using you”
Mason never liked your mother, much due to how she treats you, and you understand. It just hurts that you have so many good things to talk about his mother whilst yours is always giving him reasons to hate her.
“Mason… she’s my mother. Can we not talk about her like that?” you murmured, but you know he’s right.
On the other side, Mason did his best to not scream at you, something he swore he would never, even if it’s out of frustration.
“She’s your mother, yeah. And I’m your fucking husband. I know you never chose to have a narcissist as your mother, but you chose to marry me and I thought I would have an important spot in your life. I know family comes first but I thought that someday you’d start to prioritize the family you made”
You could feel how tired he was. How he needed you to understand his point.
“I’m trying, Mase” was the only thing you were capable of whispering.
“You say you are but you keep choosing her. You keep going when she calls even though you know she’s only going to hurt you. You keep choosing your mother over your husband and I don’t know if I can do this anymore”
“Mason…” your heart dropped. “Don’t say that”
“Do you have any idea of how much I miss my son? How much I’ve been missing my wife? It’s been a month, Y/N. And I feel like you’re not thinking about my feelings, at all”
“I’m sorry! I’m so sorry, it was supposed to be just a week” you tried to defend yourself. “I don’t know what’s going on or why Matt isn’t back yet. It has been hard for me too, yeah? I miss you so much and I’m sorry”
“Well I think you should set your priorities” he murmured before turning the call off on your face.
You instantly felt the tears forming. He hasn’t said it was over, but it was obviously a warning that it wasn’t over just yet.
With a sick Luke in one of your arms, you started to clean the room you had been staying in. Cleaning always helps you, and you let your cry reach out to you during the process, feeling overwhelmed and tired.
You wanted your home and your husband, but as a daughter you feel like you need to take care of your mother. Like you’re supposed to give her everything she’s been giving you your whole life.
After tidying the room you went downstairs to prepare the dinner, and whilst you mixed the sauce something snapped. What were you doing there?
You should be cooking for Mason, so he would have a proper meal after his nap. Luke should be sitting in his baby chair whilst you were humming happy songs. Not there, where your mother can cook her own dinner and clean her own house.
It wasn’t your fault that she couldn’t understand that you have your own family now.
When you set the table for dinner your mother wasn't home yet, and you ate with Luke’s little screams, trying to smile at him. She finally arrived an hour later, and whilst she entered the house you decided that you had enough.
“I’m leaving tomorrow morning” you told her whilst she closed the door. “Mason will face Chelsea and I need to be there. And Luke is sick, so I’m heading back home after the game to take him to his doctor in Manchester”
“What are you talking about? He looks fine”
“I’m his mother. I know when he’s not doing well” you snapped at her. “And don’t come to me saying you don’t wanna be alone. You’re not alone, are you? Because I spent the day here to be with you whilst you’re walking around the city or going to your friend’s house” you tried not to snap. “And getting drunk every Saturday even tho I tell you how much I hate it. We’re leaving tomorrow, whether you like it or not”
Not leaving her time to answer, you went upstairs to sleep a bit. When Luke finally slept you debated whether or not you should send a message to Mason letting him know you would go back home after the game.
Deciding not to disturb him any more and imagining that he was still upset with you, you laid with your son and tried to sleep, but the shooting thoughts wouldn’t let you.
What if Mason had enough? What if he doesn’t want you anymore, what if you are too late?
When you woke up, you took Luke in your arms and started to pack. Since you were supposed to stay only for a week you didn’t have much to organise, and soon you were ready to go.
Your plans were to drive to Stamford Bridge and see Mason after the game before heading to Manchester whilst he came back home with the team.
But as soon as you checked beneath the pillow and under the bed, you realised your phone wasn’t anywhere.
Taking Luke downstairs and looking everywhere you could, you tried to ask your mother.
“Have you seen my phone? It’s not where it should be”
“You should take care of your stuff, Y/N. I thought I taught you that your things are your responsibility” she told you with a flat look and you stared at her for a few seconds, in disbelief.
After hours of searching for it, you gave up. There was only an hour left before the game and since you only started to drive recently the idea of driving around without following the GPS terrified you, so you had to make a choice.
Plus, you were tired from searching for it and all you wanted was to eat something and watch the game with Luke.
Deciding to bath with your baby and cook dinner, you sat on the couch to see the game, your stomach churning with the need to be there.
A few minutes into the first half, your mother looked at you from up the stairs.
“I thought you were going back home today?” she teased you, making you frown.
You chose not to answer, paying attention to the game instead. When Mason was finally subbed on you pointed at him, bouncing Luke in your thigh.
“Look at dada, Luke. We’ll see dada soon”
“Dada” he babbled, making you gasp.
“Yeah, dada. It’s your dada” you poked his waist, the teas already forming. Luke couldn’t stop calling for dada once he said it for the first time, and he kept repeating it until the game was over.
You were incredibly sad by the result, knowing you should be at home when Mason gets there so you could hold him and scratch his scalp after his warm bath.
Deciding to sleep early, you waited for your mother to go to her bedroom and carefully brought your bags downstairs before laying with Luke and forcing yourself to sleep, determined to leave the next morning — even if you had to drive like the old ones, asking for instructions and following the signs.
On the other hand, Mason was desperate. He knew from the moment he turned the call off that he needed to apologise for how he talked to you.
But he was angry, stressed and frustrated. He wanted you there, supporting him. Cuddling him after his tiring games, listening to him when he needs to. He wants you there talking about your day, warming the bed, bringing Luke to him after a shower so you can change into your pyjamas.
He wants his family and he can’t cope with the fact they’re not with him.
Mason can’t believe you and Luke weren’t there watching his first goal, and scoring felt bittersweet. He wanted nothing more than to share this moment with you.
Since he met you, Mason knows how hard your mother is. Narcissist, dramatic, always trying to make you feel sorry for hurting her — when you were only setting boundaries.
And he also knows how hard had been for you, not finding the courage to break the circle and move on from her. But in all this time he never had to deal with this, you and his son so far away from him because of a woman who doesn’t even respect her own children.
When he went to bed a few hours after the call, Mason started to worry and he knows you were mad when you didn’t text him before bed, but at the same time he wanted to apologise for the way he talked he still meant everything he said, so he took a deep breath and choose to wait until the next day so he could talk to you properly.
His heart hurt knowing he was going to bed without telling you he loves you, something none of you ever did, but Mason was sure you’d figure it out after the game since you promised you would go, so he did his best to sleep and rest.
He looked everywhere. He asked everyone.
You just weren’t there.
When the game ended, Mason just wanted to bring you and his son and tell you he needed you home when he got there. He needed someone he could cry to, someone he could tell how overwhelming being back felt.
All he wanted was to survive the bus drive with all his teammates feeling sorry — for the loss and for him. And then lay in your arms so you could reassure him he’s doing well and that he makes you proud, whilst Luke’s little fingers tried to make him bald.
But they told him you weren’t in the United box and soon he found out you never entered the stadium Mason’s heart twisted.
First he felt a shameful feeling of anger. Why the fuck couldn’t you do this little thing for him? Relationships are supposed to be about making sacrifices and he watched you put yourself first for an entire month, always being understanding. The only thing he expected in return was for you to be there.
And you couldn’t? You say love him so much, but still couldn’t be there?
Then, when he finally showered and changed into some trainers before heading to the bus, Mason was able to check his phone just to see you hadn’t answered his pre-game messages, and quickly his anger turned into worry.
He called you five times, but every call went to voicemail. Mason pondered if you were ignoring him — or if something bad had happened.
Knowing you for four years, he doesn’t think you would give up on your relationship like that. But the way he hung up on you the night before, and how he accused you of not caring about him… he just can’t help but overthink.
With his heart pounding, Mason opened his Instagram app and searched for the only person who could help him, whilst he was forced to come back to Manchester when all he wanted to do was come to you.
The sound of the doorbell ringing woke you up, and you checked the hours just to see it was just past 2am. Luke instantly started to cry, and you took him in your arms before rushing downstairs and opening the door to the person you never thought you would see there.
“What are you doing here?” you frowned to your brother.
“Mason called me. Where’s that freak you call your mother?” he said harshly. “Why don’t you answer your phone? Your husband is losing his mind. He thinks something bad happened”
“I’ve been looking for my phone since yesterday morning, I don’t know, it’s vanished” you explained, following him. “Matt! What’s happening?”
“She’s been lying to you, Y/N. She’s probably hiding your phone right now. These are yours?” he pointed to the things you’ve packed, and you nodded. “I was never meant to come back. I told her I was leaving, cause I was tired of the manipulation. I was tired of her telling me my girlfriend doesn’t deserve me or telling me I owe everything I am to her. I owe her nothing”
You could feel the lump already forming in your throat, and you wanted nothing more than to call Mason. Matt silently put your bags in the front door, and soon his girlfriend got out of the car to take them.
“I realised something was wrong” you told him. “And Luke has been feeling sick so I packed, but then the morning I told her I’d go to the game and then head back home I couldn’t find my phone anymore. What Mason told you?”
“Not gonna lie to you, he’s feeling awful. I think he’s been crying, too. He told me you were supposed to go to the game tonight?” he asked, and you nodded, your heart dropping. “He said he tried to call you before and when you ignored him he thought you were still angry, but now that you didn’t show up at Stamford he thinks you either were kidnapped or decided to leave him. There’s only these bags?”
“Yeah” you quickly nodded. “She asked me to spend just a week”
“Compulsive liar” Matt snorted. “Let’s go, get in the car. I’ll take you to my home and we can go to yours in the morning”
You nodded again, but before you could obey him you mother showed up in the stairs.
“What’s going on here?” your mother’s voice made you jump as you were still two kids doing something she wouldn’t approve of.
“Please, don’t. Just go back to your room, I’m taking Y/N’s home”
“You can’t do that!” she raised her voice, trying to show a mother authority she doesn’t have over him anymore.
“What do you mean I can’t do that, you psycho? Leave us alone. You used me for years, I’m not letting you do the same with her”
“Don’t be stupid, Matthew. All I ever asked you was for you to take care of me like I took care of you your whole life. All I ever expected was you both to love me like I loved my childs” she gestured, and you could feel your heart hurting. She’s your mother and you should be so tough with her…
“Why can’t you understand that we have our own family now?” Matt snorted, his big body trying to hide you from your hysterical mother. “Y/N is a mother. She has a child to take care of, she can’t look after you when you’re capable of looking after yourself”
When you realised Luke was about to cry from all the noise, you started to rock him back and forth, trying to protect his ears.
“I am your family. All those years I left my life in standby to raise you. I gave you two food, a home, a warm bed to sleep” your mother shouted, gesturing.
“And as a mother this was exactly what the world expected from you. You did nothing but your obligations. No one asked you to be a mother, so you can’t point your fingers and act like we should be grateful for the simple things you gave us. The minimal” Matt kept his tone low. “But you lacked the essential. The respect for your kids. The love, acceptance. You only love yourself. Now you say we’re not returning everything you did for us but guess what: this is what you did for us. You reap what you sow. You can not raise a child thinking about what they can bring you in the future”
“Everything I’ve done, everything I say is because I care! But go on, make me the villain, take her thy stupid footballer” she turned to face you. “Go back to him and raise this stupid child. Just don’t come back running to mummy when he changes you for a prettier and hotter girl, leaving you with only his clone to remind you of what you’ve lost!”
It was unconscious, the way you left the safe space Matt had created for you and advanced in her direction. You never believed you were capable until it was done, the echo of your hand meeting her cheek spreading in the silent room.
“Talk about me as much as you want. But do never, ever again talk about my husband or my son. Is not our fucking fault dad couldn’t handle your behaviour anymore, and is not our fucking fault he left you for a prettier and hotter woman” you pointed a finger to her face. “I’m done with you. I’m done with you forever, and if cutting you from my life is what I need to do so I won’t be the wife and mother you were, then I’m doing it right now”
“C’mon, Y/N” Matt put a hand on your shoulder, slowly bringing you closer to him. “Let’s go home”
You checked Luke on your arms afraid your impulsive action had hurt him, whilst Matt took you outside.
“She still has my phone-” you realised before you could enter your car.
“Leave it behind, yeah? Mason can buy you a new one. Look at it as a new beginning” he squeezed your shoulders, and it felt like having a brother again.
In that moment you understood that this was what had happened to him, too. That this was the reason he never replied to you anymore.
When Matt left his mother’s house in an attempt to be free, he had to leave everything behind, including you.
You think you won’t ever really understand what it cost him to come back there, but he did it.
He could never leave his little sister behind.
You took Luke out from the baby seat before following Alice inside. She came back driving Matt’s car whilst he drove yours, so you hadn’t had the chance to talk to her.
Once inside, Matt put you in the biggest guest room of his house, trying his best to make you comfortable. You used the sheets and the pillows to make a fort around Luke, and went downstairs to talk to your brother after so long.
After making you all tea, Alice sat besides him and you genuinely smiled seeing how they clearly completed each other.
You started by explaining to them what she told you in the first place, and how she was trying to keep you there for more and more days every time another week ended. When you told about your fight with Mason, Matt was quick to reassure you that he knows Mase will understand you, but you were still feeling reckless and seeing your husband was the only thing you wanted.
“I tried to contact you” Matt told you shyly. “It’s been months since I left her house, maybe six?”
“Around Luke’s birth” you whispered.
“But I left my phone too. It was a choice I had to make. Since you don’t have an Instagram, I tried Mason’s but-”
“He’s too famous to see your message” you giggled.
“I think he unfollowed me when he thought we weren’t on speaking terms- when you thought we weren’t. He’s a good one, you know?”
“He is” you smiled, thinking about your boy.
“I’ll get the car ready for the trip” he murmured, suddenly looking awkward.
As soon as he left, Alice saw you were still processing your feelings and came to sit near you. After a few seconds in silence, she started to talk.
“You don’t have to love her just because she’s your mother” she told you, holding your hand. “Mothers aren’t saints, Y/N. It’s okay to dislike our mothers when they act bad, when they hurt you. It’s okay to even hate a mother that does no good to her kids”
“But she’s my blood” you told her the same you’ve always told your brother, but as a woman your age Alice understands your feelings and is delicate to answer you.
“That doesn’t mean anything. Do you see Debbie? Matt told me about her, and how much she cares about you. She’s your blood? No. But she’s been treating you better than your blood has” she ran hiii her fingers through your hair. “I know it’s hard to make this decision, but a mother that hurts and lies, a mother that tries to get in the middle of your marriage isn’t a good mother. Just think if you’d ever do to Luke any of the stuff she did to you”
When you looked up your brother was by the door, and you know he’s the only one who actually shares this controversial feeling with you.
“I wanna go home” you sniffed. “To Mason”
“We’ll take you there” Matt assured you, stretching his arms out to you. “But give me a hug first”
“I’m so sorry she got between us” you murmured after hugging him, resting your face on his shoulder.
“Me too. But see? We’re free now, princess. Your big brother is here”
When he opened the door for you early in the morning, Mason’s heart dropped. With Matt and his girlfriend waiting in the car, he was sure you were there to pick your stuff and leave.
“Mase?” you called him nervously, since he wouldn’t move or make any indication of hugging you.
“Are you leaving? I- I didn’t mean it you know, I didn’t mean to be rude with you I was just so tired and angry and I came home after training and you weren’t here and I got so pissed off” his voice was shaky and he didn’t stop talking to breath. “And then I thought we could solve things after the game but you weren’t at the game and I tried to call you so many times and I swear I wanted to go there and talk to you but the gaffer told me I was supposed to come back with the team”
You quickly entered the house so your brother wouldn’t be worried. The last thing you needed was him and Alice wanting to stay — you needed to talk with Mason alone, your family needed this time together.
You circled his waist with one arm, the other holding Luke between you two, and waited for him to hug your shoulders. When Mason calmed down you pulled away just so you could look at him.
“What’s going on?” you asked him, a hand going straight to his cheek. “Are you having panic attacks again?”
Mason shook his head, calmer now that you were inside the house and Matt’s car was gone. Luke stretched out his tiny arms to Mason and you instantly passed him to your husband.
“I thought- I saw Matt’s car parked and I thought you were here to take your stuff” he shyly admitted, his cheeks blushing.
“Oh baby, I would never leave you” you ran your fingers through his hair and your heart tightened when he hugged Luke like his life depended on this.
A lonely tear went down his cheek and you brushed it.
“We’re not going anywhere big boy, you can relax. I think you’re close to suffocating him” you giggled, your heart hurting at how tight he was holding Luke.
“Am I?” Mason’s eyes widened as he pulled his son away, to be sure he wasn’t hurting him.
“Sorry, I was just kidding” you laid your head on your husband’s shoulder. “We missed you so much. I’m so sorry, Mase”
When Luke laid his head on daddy’s other shoulder, your eyes watered.
Since you gave him birth, since he grew inside you even, you could never understand how someone could hurt their own child. You would die and kill for him, and you know Mason feels the same way.
Being a mother like yours turned out to be your biggest fear since you saw the first positive test. Now, each day he grows more you’re sure you could never.
You could never treat him like his opinions and wishes aren’t valid. You could never tell him he can’t simply answer you his point of view no matter what, even when you’re wrong. You could never put yourself first when your son depends on you.
“Believe me, I missed you more. The bed was always cold, every night, and the house is so quiet without Luke, the food doesn’t taste the same, there’s not a single drawing in the bathroom wall and everything looks so lifeless” his voice cracked, and you looked at him to see uncountable tears spilling down his face. “Ever again. You’re not leaving my side ever again”
You nodded, trying to reassure him and ease the panic you could see in his eyes. Hugging his waist, you peppered kisses to his jaw, feeling the salty water on your lips.
“We’re not going anywhere, baby. I swear”
Mason’s sobs caught Luke’s attention, and he looked at his dad with the prettiest face you’ve ever seen, full of confusion.
Your words weren’t enough to stop Mason’s breakdown once he was feeling safe to show you how much the last month affected him and his body started to shake, so you guided him to the couch and sat with your back against the arm so he could lay between your legs.
With Luke sitting on one of your legs and Mason’s head resting on the other, you let your husband cry.
“It’s ok, Mase” you scratched his scalp, trying to soothe him. Your heart physically hurt when he clinged to you, hugging your waist tighter. “I’m here now”
“Sorry” he whispered when you started to brush his tears.
“Don’t feel sorry for being hurt, Masey. You can cry to me whenever you need to, I’m here to protect you too”
“You, protecting me?” he giggled, and you smiled at the sound of it. He got up from your lap and gave you a shy smile, stretching his hands out for Luke who immediately tried to go to him.
“Yeah, it’s your turn to be taken care of” you shrugged, giving your baby boy to him.
“Oh so you’ll take care of me?” Mason gave you a smirk and you rolled your eyes playfully before remembering what you wanted to show him the most.
“Daddy is being a naughty boy, Luke. Tell him to be better, uh? Tell dad to behave”
“Da” Luke babbled, and Mason pinched his chubby cheeks.
“One month alone with mum and you already forgot that I’m your partner in crime?”
“Da-dada” he kept going, and you wish you could get Mason’s reaction tattooed, the way he confused eyes looked at you.
“What the fu-“
“Don’t curse” you giggled, covering his mouth, but Mason could hear the sad tone on your voice. “He said if for the first time last night, we were watching the game and I told him we would see dada soon. He can’t stop anymore I guess”
Mason kissed Luke’s cheek, laughing between sobs when he squirmed, giving little screams.
“You have training today?” you whispered, afraid of ruining the moment but Mason shook his head.
“I’ll call the gaffer to explain” he brushed his fingers through Luke’s face.
“I’ll run his bath then” you told your husband before kissing his head and quickly going upstairs, trying to give them some time alone.
In reality, you feel so bad for separating father and son for an entire month. Seeing Mason’s cry made it hit you how bad your actions hurt him, even intentionally.
Imagining how you would feel if it was the opposite, your heart physically hurt with guilt, how hard this month apart was for Mason and you could feel a few hot tears spilling down your face. Now, you can only hope he won’t hold any grudge against you, despite what you did.
Less than ten minutes later, Mason was entering your shared room and walking straight to the en-suite so he could find you.
“Babe? You can’t leave your boys alone, we don’t know how to take care of ourse- ei, what’s wrong?” he cupped your cheek, and just the warmth of his hand was enough to make you feel better.
“Nothing” you shook your head, drying your face with the back of your hand. “Can you take off his clothes?”
“We’ll talk about it once he’s sleeping” Mason kissed your forehead, squeezing your waist. You nodded, letting him go and undress Luke whilst you chose some toys for your son.
You put the toys in the bath, checking again to be sure the water wasn’t too hot and turning around to Mason.
“Can you bathe him?” you asked him and he instantly nodded, holding your waist before you could leave.
“Go bath in the guest bathroom if you need some time alone, yeah?” he caressed your chin, and your heart pounded even more with how gentle he could be with you even though you hurt him.
Since he seems to know you more than you know yourself, you obeyed. Taking what you’d need, you headed to the guest bathroom and took a warm shower.
You wanted to cry. You wanted to let it all go when Mason and Luke weren't around, but you couldn’t. There was just a whole in your chest, but no tears.
After washing your hair in an attempt to feel freshened and lightened, you wrapped yourself in your robe and came back to your room. Mason wasn’t there, so you imagine he was at Luke’s room putting him to sleep, and not wanting to get in the middle of their father and son time you changed in your pyjamas and tucked in bed.
Half an hour ater you still weren’t able to close your eyes, staring the wall. You’ve heard when your husband entered the room and changed from his trainers, wanting to lay down with you.
“You can go to training if you’re not too late, Mase” you told him softly, not wanting him to get in trouble.
“No way” was his only groaned response, and you sighed when Mason cuddled you seconds later, his arm circling your waist.
Your eyes instantly teared up.
“Go on” Mason kissed your shoulder. “You don’t need to hold it, it’s just us”
“I can’t believe she did this” you tried to tell him without crying, but with every little kiss on your shoulder you could feel the breakdown coming. “Lying would’ve been bad enough but hiding my phone? Not caring that Luke was feeling sick- oh we need to take him to Dr. Linn”
“I’ll take care of it. Keep going” he encouraged you, and you couldn’t understand how he was the one left behind for a month but still so worried about you.
“I don’t know why she wanted me there. The entire month, every day she had something bad to say about me or you, or even Luke. Always leaving to see her friends or get drunk, so in the end I was alone most of the time. She hates me and my family, but she still wanted to keep me around for some reason” your eyes were burning at this point, and Mason’s soft skin against yours made you feel safe enough to finally let the tears spill. “I’m so sorry you had to live an entire month without him”
His hug tightened a bit when you sobbed.
“It’s not your fault. And I lived an entire month without you too, you know? You were missed just as badly”
“It is my fault, Mason. You said it yourself, I chose her over my family and I’m really sorry about it. I want you to spend more time with him, make up for lost time”
Mason pulled away just enough so he could helo turn your body to face his, his hand going straight to cup your chin.
“Y/N, what’s that? I don’t wanna spend hours alone with Luke, even though I love him more than anything. I wanna make up for lost time with my family, not only with half of it. I was angry that night, yeah? I was tired and missing you and I was so pissed you weren’t here when I got back home, I just snapped”
“You had every right to” you murmured, his thumbs never stopping with caressing your face.
“And then the next morning you weren’t answering my calls and when the time came you weren’t at the game like you said you would and I was so scared you had given up on us. So during the night I couldn’t sleep and I realised… I know you, I know you wouldn’t deprive me of my son even though you didn’t want to talk to me yourself, so I panicked. I’m sorry I called Matt, he was my only option”
“Matt and I were good” you smiled at him, and the way his eyebrows raised made you giggle. “I could never give up on us, silly. You’re my everything. Not going to bed with you every night, not making your breakfast every morning… it was the worst month of my life”
“That’s why I gotta give you my attention too, babe. You’re my girl, and Luke knows how to share, you know? He’s not selfish”
“Well, I don’t think I deserve your attention. Look what you had to go through for an entire month” you groaned, but Mason just sighed before placing his forehead against yours.
“You were manipulated, by someone you love a lot. You were worried and wanted nothing more than to help her, and I understand that staying away from me was a consequence of what you needed to do in your head, even tho in reality you didn’t have to do anything. I don’t really like your mum but I love mine, and I know the feeling of being able to do anything for her” he held you tighter. “You don’t need to feel guilty about it”
“Mason, you can’t pretend it’s alright. I lost the most important game of the season. I lost your fucking goal. I should’ve been there to support you and then I should’ve been here to comfort you” you chocked, the guilty feeling eating you alive.
“Babe-”
“It’s not ok! And I’d feel better if you just admit it, let me apologise and forgive me” you tried to breath and calm down. “You lost the first time he called for you and it’s my fault”
“We’ll, I’m listening now. And he can’t stop, isn't it adorable? The tiny human we made. With so much love” he kissed your forehead. “I missed you so much I think I feel like making another one any time”
“Mason!” you gasped, feeling your cheeks getting warm.
“What? The day we made Luke was so hot. A mess, but incredibly hot” he closed his eyes, licking his lips and you had to look away with flaming cheeks. You know exactly the day you got pregnant since it happened in a month you and Mason only got to sleep together once. Mason laid on his back and helped you lay half of your body on top of his. “Fine, baby. Let me hear your apologies”
“I’m really sorry for missing your first goal. You have no idea how awful I feel, because I should be there to celebrate it with you, to scream loud with the fans, to show how proud I was. And I’m sorry I lost the most important game for you. I hope you know I would never do that on purpose, and we wanted to be there for you. But I watched on TV and I’m so proud of you. You did so well with the time you had, and I’m sorry about the general result. You were so pretty though”
“Was I?”
“I’m starting to understand the hair now” you giggled. “It filled my tummy with butterflies”
“Are you sure you don’t wanna make another baby? Because you’re sounding like you do” he teased. “You’re forgiven, princess. And I don’t wanna you beating yourself about it, yeah? I already told you, I understand what happened and how stuck you were. It’s your family, after all”
“No” you shook your head, clinging even more against him. “You are my family. You and Luke”
“And the babygirl we’re gonna make soon?”
“Stop” you groaned, burying your face in his bare chest. “I want another one too”
“Really?” he pouted, and you could never say no to him.
“We could try your girl or start the Mason Mount FC” you hummed, content when he kissed you.
“Perfect” he murmured, lips brushing yours softly. You stared into his eyes, smiling when he raised his eyebrows. “Wanna start trying now? Cause I honestly missed you so much-”
“Shut up” you giggled, relaxing in his embrace. Brushing your nose against his neck, you inhaled the after shave smell and focused on how soft his neck is.
After a few minutes appreciating his warmth, you allowed yourself to sleep deeply, finally in your home. Where you are loved for who you are, not for what you can offer. Where you are wanted and your presence is valid. Where you feel safe.
Not your perfect three store white house, no. Your home. Mason Mount.

requested: yes!!
notes: here is another request! so sorry it took so long to get out - nursing school has been kicking my butt these last couple of weeks. thank you so so much for requesting! (and I'm already working on your other one :) )
Tumblr media
It was a beautiful day at Cobham as you stood pitch-side, a rare warm March day in London. Your camera was raised to your face as you watched the Chelsea boys practice through its lens, snapping a few photos. Due to the nicer weather, both the men’s team and the Academy players were outside training in the afternoon, and you had jumped at the opportunity to get a few photos that could be used later on Chelsea’s Instagram.
These were your favorite days, when you got to spend time around the teams, watching them interact and doing your best to capture the chemistry between them with your camera. It surely beat the alternative: spending the day indoors, in a corner office, your time consumed by editing photos and sending various emails.
Plus, you would never turn down getting to watch your athletic boyfriend work his magic.
You panned your camera to the left, catching a few of the boys standing in line to wait their turn for a shooting drill that Potter was having them run. Your lens found Mason standing in the back of the line, and your heart fluttered as he looked straight at you, pulling a silly face to try to make you laugh.
You dropped the camera from your face, giggling slightly as you pressed a couple buttons to look at the pictures you had taken. Maybe you would keep those for yourself.
You looked back up at him, shaking your head slightly at his antics. Mason, with a satisfied grin on his face at succeeding to make you laugh, turned back to the line of boys in front of him, bouncing on his toes to prepare to run the drill.
After a few more minutes, Potter divided the boys into three groups, running a new drill with only a couple of the groups at a time. This left one of the groups to take a short rest, and Ben and Kai approached you, after grabbing their water bottles, to greet you.
One of the things that you loved about both working for Chelsea and dating Mason was that you had developed a close friendship with many of the players, having been able to hang out with them outside of work more and more as time went on.
Ben greeted you with a short pat on the back, refraining from hugging you so he didn’t get his sweat on you (which you greatly appreciated). Kai placed his hand on top of your head, ruffling your hair as he laughed mischievously. You scowled at him playfully, attempting to fix your hair as they began asking how you had been recently. You quickly got lost in conversation with them, raising the camera to your face intermittently to get a few photos of the boys still on the pitch.
Behind you, the Academy boys were practicing, running a scrimmage before they concluded for the afternoon. With your back to the group, you hadn’t seen the Academy player dropping to the ground in a slide in order to keep the ball in-bounds. You hadn’t seen the way that he misjudged his speed, sliding far beyond the ball and the sideline of the pitch, right toward where you were standing.
Ben and Kai saw it, though, as if it was happening in slow motion, but still too quickly for them to do anything about it. The only warning you had was a split second where the their eyes both went wide, reaching their arms up to try to pull you out of harm’s way. They tried to shout a warning to you, but it was too late.
The young boy slid into your ankles and you heard a sickening crunch as he knocked you to the grass.
Mason’s head whipped around quickly as he heard you cry out, a chill rushing down his spine as he immediately recognized it as your voice. He saw you on the ground, along with the Academy player as Ben and Kai rushed to your side.
You were confused—disoriented to say the least. Your back had hit the ground abruptly, knocking the wind out of you and leaving you gasping for air. You saw the boy getting up to his knees next to you, rushing out some apology you couldn’t focus on. You saw Ben drop to his knees at your side, and it felt like your head was spinning. You tried desperately to regain your breath, draping your arms over your face as you lay on the ground.
It was then that the brief rush of adrenaline wore off, and the pain set in quickly. A shooting pain tore through your right ankle, causing you to cry out again. In the frenzy of the whole thing, you could hear people trying to speak to you, but they seemed distant, and you couldn’t make out anything that they were saying. You grit your teeth, hating that there were so many people here to see your vulnerable state.
A pair of hands on your sides grounded you back to reality, and you moved your arm, squinting against the sunlight to see that Mason was at your side, kneeling next to your face. His eyes were wide with concern, and his voice started to pierce through the ringing in your ears.
“You’re okay, baby. You’re okay.”
You tried desperately to blink back the tears you could feel springing to your eyes. In most any circumstance you refused to let anyone see you cry, determined to maintain a tough exterior, but the throbbing in your ankle proved to be more than you could handle.
The Academy player that had tackled you was now on his feet, still desperately trying to apologize for his actions. Mason turned and shoved him away from you, shouting something about backing away from you. You saw Reece grab the boy by the shoulders and talking quietly to him, no doubt trying to defuse the situation while also reversing any damage done by Mason’s shouting. He was, after all, just a kid, and he hadn’t intended to hurt anyone.
“Mase, please.” You grabbed a fistful of his training shirt, bringing his attention away from the young player and back to you. He looked back at you, his eyes softening as he heard you whimpering in pain. He helped you sit up halfway, pulling you into his chest. You buried your face in his neck so that no one could see the tears that slid down your cheeks, still holding his shirt tightly in your fist.
Mason slowly stroked his fingers up and down your arm in an attempt to soothe you as Ben explained what had happened. Your leg was still throbbing, leaving you unable to focus on anything that was happening around you. Mason pressed a kiss to the top of your head, whispering soothing words in your ear. He desperately wanted to take the pain away from you, but he didn’t know how.
You felt Mason’s muscles tense up, as he suddenly felt that there were too many people crowding around you. “Everyone back up!” he shouted, startling you. “Back up! Give her some space!”
Several people took a couple steps back at his sudden outburst, but Kai rested a hand on Mason’s shoulder to calm him. “They’re the physios, mate. They’re trying to help.”
When Mason lifted his eyes, getting a better look at the two individuals who were now coming to your side, he realized that Kai was right, recognizing the physios from times that he had spent in recovery after being injured.
One of the physios, a middle-aged woman with a reassuring, gentle look in her eyes, told you she was going to take your shoe off and waited for your short nod before she began undoing the laces.
Mason’s heart clenched in his chest when you gazed up at him with red-rimmed eyes. He did his best to give you a comforting smile, despite the sickening feeling in his gut at seeing you in so much pain.
The physio did her best to removed your shoe without causing you any more pain, but the slight movement of your foot still caused you to whimper out in pain. You grasped Mason’s bicep, and he hissed slightly as your nails dug painfully into his arm, but he didn’t dare to let on that you had hurt him.
When your sock and shoe were both removed, Mason could see that your ankle had already become swollen, beginning to flush a deep shade of purple.
“We’ll need to bring her up to the facility and wrap this,” the physio spoke, more to Mason than to you. She placed a hand gently on your knee, trying to bring your attention to her. “Do you think you can try to walk on it? I don’t think it’s broken.”
You nodded, trying your best to be tough. You let go of Mason’s arms, and he untangled his arms from around you, moving to stand in front of where you were sitting. You took his hands, letting him pull you to your feet as you kept all of your weight on your left leg. The breeze chilled the thin layer of sweat that had formed on your neck.
Mason still held tightly to your arms, standing in front of you and intensely watching your eyes as you tried to settled your foot to the ground, putting some weight on it. Your face contorted in pain immediately as a shooting pain radiated from your ankle up your leg, and your knee gave out. Mason was quick to catch you before you fell. You shook your head vigorously, letting out a quite “I can’t”.
Mason swept you up in his arms, carrying you bridal style as he followed behind the physios and walking as gently as he could so he didn’t cause you any unnecessary pain. With your arms wrapped around his neck, you instinctively buried your face in his shoulder again, finding comfort there.
When you finally made it into the training facility, Mason followed the physios into the treatment room, setting you down on a cushioned table so they could wrap your foot. You noticed then that Ben had followed you all inside, carrying your shoe and camera, which had, remarkably, remained unharmed in the clash. You smiled at him in thanks, and he walked over to you on the side that Mason wasn’t standing to give you a short hug and a kiss on top of your head before he went back out to rejoin training.
The whole ordeal had drained you of any energy, and you let out a sigh as you dropped your head onto Mason’s shoulder. The pain had faded slightly, into a dull throbbing, and his fingers rubbing gentle circles into your back was helping to calm you.
“You doing okay?” he whispered, checking in. Your eyes slipped shut and you nodded into his neck, too tired to say anything in reply.
The physios looked over your ankle, deciding it wasn’t a break, but rather a very bad sprain. They gave you some pain medication, put your foot in a boot, and instructed you to take it easy for a couple of days before you returned to your normal routine.
Mason took you home, waiting hand and foot on you for the rest of the day. He even took the next day off of training to look after you, despite your insistence that he didn’t need to. Though the pain had been miserable, you couldn’t pretend you didn’t enjoy the extra attention that Mason gave you as a result of your injury. He was already a very touchy and affectionate person, but it had been dialed up to 10 ever since that day at Cobham.
That Friday, several days after your injury, Kai and Sophia were hosting a game night at their place. The boys didn’t have a game that weekend, and they wanted to use it as an opportunity to get together and just spend a chill night hanging out.
After reassuring Mason numerous times that you were still up for going, the two of you walked into the house, you wobbling slightly as you were still getting used to walking in the boot. The room erupted with noise as everyone shouted greetings as you entered. Several of the boys came over, patting you on the back or pulling you into a hug, saying how they had missed seeing you at Cobham since your injury. Your heart swelled with affection as you returned their hugs. Sophia came over, pulling you to the couch so that the two could catch up while the boys were talking to Mason.
The night went on, and you learned several new card games and board games. Being with everyone did wonders to lift your mood after a fairly dull week following your injury. Mason was still attentive, constantly touching you in some way at all times, whether than was an innocent hand on your thigh, or an arm wrapping securely around your shoulders and placing a kiss to your forehead every couple of minutes. But you could tell that he was glad to be out with his group of friends.
The rest of the group didn’t miss the extra protective air surrounding Mason as he kept an eye out for you the whole night. It was endearing to see how much he cared about you and the comfort that seemed to wash over him at being able to have you around with the rest of the team again. None of them had ever seen Mason be this way with any other girl—you all definitely had something special. But although they were happy for him, it didn’t stop the boys from poking fun at him periodically for it anyway.
The evening continued, and you began to grow more tired, but you refused to say anything to Mason because you truly didn’t want to leave.
Sophia brought out a new game as the time passed 11 pm, and the game night was showing no signs of slowing down. You opted to sit this game out, waving it off when Ben asked if you were alright.
Despite your best efforts to hide your exhaustion, Mason still noticed, ever the attentive boyfriend. He leaned back on the couch, wrapping his arm gently around your shoulders as Kai and Sophia set the game up on the table in front of you. You sighed in content, resting your head on his shoulder.
You closed your eyes as Mason pressed a kiss to your forehead and mumbled a short, “you okay?”
“Yeah, I’m good,” you nodded, turning so you could look him in the eye.
“Are you sure? Do you want to go home?” you could still see the concern in his eyes as he searched your face.
“No, no, I’m okay, really,” you smiling to try and reassure him. “I promise.”
Mason searched your face for a moment more, seeming to finally accept your answer as you laid your head back on his chest. He turned and continued talking with Ben, and as you looked back toward the table, Sophia held your gaze with a knowing look. She grinned at you, and you felt the blush rushing into your cheeks. You hid your face in Mason’s chest and suppressed a giggle.
Despite having been in a relationship with Mason for several months, he never ceased to make you giggly and giddy with his affectionate gestures. Sophia was always the first one to tease you about how flustered he made you.
The game night resumed as soon as everyone understood the rules, and you untucked yourself from Mason’s side so he could lean forward to play the game. You sat quietly, content to watch as everyone else played and joked with one another. But the longer you watched, the more your eyes began to droop. Like there was a magnet pulling you, you felt drawn toward Mason as you began to slump over from exhaustion, and you laid your head on his shoulder blade. Without turning from the game, he reached behind him, pulling your arms so that they were wrapped around his waist.
You held to him tightly, soothed by his breathing and the sound of his soft laughter every now and then. Mason kept one hand on your arms, where they met in his lap, stroking his thumb softly over the back of one of your hands.
After several minutes of silence from you, he grew suspicious of the fact that he hadn’t felt you move in a while – not even a slight shift.
“You doing okay back there, Y/N?” he asked softly.
He was met with no answer. He furrowed his brow, turning his head to look at you, but he couldn’t move far enough to see your face without shifting you.
“Y/N?” he repeated.
“I think she’s asleep, mate,” Ben commented, sitting on your other side, where he had a clear view of your face. Your cheek was slightly squished from where it was pressed against Mason’s shoulders, lips parted as the muscles in your face relaxed completely.
Mason couldn’t help the warmth that flooded his face as he unwrapped your arms from his waist, pulling your legs so that they draped across his lap and he could hold you in his arms. He kissed the top of your head as you stirred before settling into his side.
“You lovebirds can’t keep your hands off of each other, can you?” Kai teased, grinning at the smitten look on his friend’s face.
“Oh, give it a couple years,” Ben chuckled from the other side of the couch, jumping at the opportunity to get under Mason’s skin. “They’ll be sick of each other soon enough.”
Some of the guys laughed at his remark, knowing he didn’t mean it at all. Mason just kept looking down at you as you laid on his chest, a loving look in his eyes.
“Nah, a couple years from now, I’m gonna marry her,” he replied matter-of-factly, not an ounce of hesitation in his voice. The rest of the group smiled, silently coming to the decision to let you all be and continue playing their game.
With your face tucked into Mason’s chest, he couldn’t see the smile that curled your lips as you heard his words just before you fell back to sleep.

Mummy was mine first - Mason Mount
Request: I have a request of a drunk Mason with his newly pregnant girlfriend - him getting all emotional thinking the new baby will take his girl away from him. Stuff like lifting her shirt and talking to his baby saying things like “remember your mummy was mine first 🥺”
Warning: Mason may sound like a prick in this but it was just for the sake of the story 💔

The moment you told Mason you were pregnant with your first child, he swore he couldn’t have been happier. He was literally on cloud nine, eager to live that unique and special experience with you, the love of his life.
As most of the things we have to deal with throughout our lifetime, it wasn’t all fun and games as expected. Actually you had to deal with a lot of changes that would come as the result of your newly found condition: the mood swings, the cravings, all the shopping for the baby, all the readings on how to teach things to your baby, how to grow him up perfectly and, at last but not least, all the potential dangers you had to be careful of.
It was a hell of a ride but it was worth it in the end, or that’s what you hoped at least.
He was absolutely crazy for you and he wanted to remember that image of you forever. Mason grabbed his Polaroid and took the most beautiful pictures of you naked, with your hair dishevelled on the pillow, the white bed sheets covering your lower body as you let your hands caress your baby bump.
In that moment the English footballer swore he never saw a woman as gorgeous as you, he really meant it when he said that the pregnancy made you even more beautiful than you already were. He thought it turned you into a goddess, as he couldn’t care less about the commonly called flaws you always complained about such as your stretch marks, your swollen feet, the extra weight you gained. He took every chance he got to make you feel loved, to give love to every inch of your body.
You sighed and shook your head as you got seated on the bed, looking for your t-shirt.
“Mason, stop it”
“You’re stunning, come on!” He giggled, holding the camera with one hand and lifting your chin up with the other, holding then your face in place to kiss you on the lips.
Mason shot a couple more pictures of you before putting the camera to the side and starting to kiss you passionately.
He was standing before you, balancing himself with his right leg bent over the mattress, at the side of your thigh.
The ardour that inflamed your kiss was so strong he straddled you, hovering over you, always being careful of your bump.
He gently led you towards the soft surface beneath, so you could be in a more comfortable position while he made you feel his love.
You didn’t have the slightest intention to move, you just wanted to stay there basking in the relaxing yet exciting feelings only he could give you. Your legs were loosely wrapped around his middle as his right hand was delicately keeping your thigh up while the left one was holding your arms back on the blanket, above your head.
A moan escaped your lips as you felt his fingers fiddling with your knickers.
During the pregnancy, even if it was something common for most women, you started developing a sense of discomfort towards your body: it was inevitably changing but, since you've never been that self confident, those major changes were only increasing the doubts about the beauty or the attractiveness of your curves.
Mason was willing to do everything that was in his power to make you enjoy sex without making you feel guilty, embarrassed or in pain. That's why you spent a whole afternoon on a website the ob gyn suggested you to have pregnant sex safely, to learn all the pros and cons of such a pleasurable activity during a time where things might have gotten a little more difficult.
Whenever your mind took you back to that afternoon you couldn't help but smile, both because it was a funny memory and because seeing Mason so careful and attentive towards you to make you feel better, filled your heart with more love. But reading advice and theories was a thing, putting them into practice was another, even more so since your belly was getting bigger, leading you through the third trimester.
“Mase, the -”
“Yep, the belly is in the way, I know” You both giggled, Mason was really caught up in the moment he didn’t think about the six (nearly seven) months belly you had to deal with.
He sighed, sitting on the bed again.
"It's not just that, my back hurts a little more today"
Mason helped you up, careful not to hurt you, massaging your aching muscles.
"I just ruined your sex drive" You let out in a low voice, feeling kind of bad.
"Hey hey, you didn't ruin anything, that's okay" He kissed your temple in the sweetest way. "Here, let's see if this one is more comfortable" Mason gestured for you to lay back on the pillows he put there to ease your back pain so your body was resting on the edge of the bed while his body was standing before yours, a little bent over.
You smiled at each other until your boyfriend's lips moved upwards to kiss your forehead, tracing your jaw next and ending on your neck.
In order not to weigh on your stomach, Mason kneeled down on your bedroom floor as his hands were on your hips and his mouth was leaving little hot kisses and bites against the soft skin of your thighs.
You would have liked to have sex with your boyfriend so bad but apparently your body didn't have the same intention: apart from the back pain, there were also those hateful little voices in your head the kept on saying you were embarrassing, that you didn't deserve the hot man which was your boyfriend to to make love to you because you were obscene, which wasn't the truth of course.
"I - I can't do it" You placed your hands on Mason's shoulders to make him stop.
He raised his head, frowning at your sudden halt.
"Sorry babe, I can't do this" You sniffled in the attempt not to burst out crying.
"That's okay" Mason said in a low voice, getting back on his feet and helping you up.
Various thoughts were beginning to crowd Mason's head too: he started asking himself what could have possibly gone wrong, weren't you really okay or was he just underestimating some signals he should have been careful of? You weren't attracted to him anymore??
He tried to fight all that brainwork while helping you get your clothes back on, doing the same with himself some minutes later.
"I'm sorry Mase, I really wanted to do that but -"
"I know, I know. Don't worry, it's fine" He faked a smile and left a gentle peck over your lips before leaving your bedroom and going to his game room. He needed to distract his mind a bit and maybe you needed some time alone too.
You huffed and went to the bathroom to fill the bath tub with some hot water and a rose scented water bomb to relax your sore body and your tired mind all the same. Warm water would also reduce some of the weight your spine had to sustain whic was a huge relief, making bath time something you had been really looking forward to at least once a day.
The last thing on your mind was upsetting Mason but you were sure he would have understood how you were feeling during that delicate moment.
In the other room, Mason’s attempt not to dwell on what happened an hour ago didn’t work as he was there, with his headphones on, his fingers shifting over the controller, his stare fixed on the screen before him but his mind was still on you. He knew a thing as big as the arrival of a baby would have changed your priorities but it didn’t want you to change the way you looked at him: he still wanted to be your hero, your everything, he was afraid he wasn’t ready to leave hthe place in your heart for the baby girl who would have been there in a couple of months.
Maybe he was just a bit moody, maybe he was being childish but that concern was something that had been keeping him awake for a whole week now.
Mason turned off the console, putting away all the other devices he used during game time and started wandering around the house looking for you as he came to the conclusion that the best and wisest thing he could do was sharing what his real thoughts were with you, the love of his life and the mum of his daughter.
“Y/N?”
The first room he checked in was the right one as he pushed the bathroom’s door ajar open and the image of you, standing applying some moisturising over your legs, welcomed him.
A small smile appeared on his lips as he entered the room wrapped in a cloud of heat reminding him you liked to take your shower and bath in hot, very hot water.
“Why didn’t you call me to help you get out of the tub?”
“Didn’t want to disturb you plus I’ve managed to do it myself” You say, a small note of pride in your voice.
Mason’s eyes roamed over your body, taking in your every movement and passing you the clean underwear and pajamas (that is to say a pair of joggers and one of his t-shirts) for the night.
"This may sound weird but... I don't like thieves"
"What?" You stopped massaging your face with the night lotion in order to understand what Mason was meaning with that apparent nonsense sentence he just spoke.
"Yeah I don't like people that steal things from me"
"Mason, are you okay? Who stole you what?"
He scoffed, somehow annoyed. He blankly stared down at his feet, as a child would do once getting scolded over something.
"The baby"
"Mase baby, sorry but I'm afraid I don't follow you"
You really were clueless about what he was complaining about, feeling a bit powerless too as you wanted to help him but it seemed kind of hard doing so  with him not being clear about what his problem was. You noticed there was something weird in him that day but didn't understand what.
He huffed, getting closer to your body leaning against the basin, looking in the mirror in front of you reflecting both his pout and your frown.
Mason looked down at your exposed collarbone before moving a strand of hair behind your ear. He then laid his head where his glance was, uttering against your skin. "I don't want her to take you away from me"
"Oh Mase" You cooed. He was the cutest human being ever in that moment. He didn't seem like a man who was about to become a dad at all, he felt like a kid who's about to become the older brother and doesn’t want the newcomer to steal his parents' affection.
You started scratching the back of his neck affectionately, placing lingering kisses on the top of his head.
"I can assure you nothing bad will happen. She won't take me away from you, no one will ever. You two will be the most precious humans in my life, I'll love you more than words can express and I'll cherish every moment with the both of you"
Your lips took the place of your fingers, leaving kiss after kiss on his nape, where his hair was the shortest.
Mason sighed, a sad but relieved sigh, as if your remarks comforted him but he wasn't sure enough, as if he needed some more encouraging and endearing words from you.
"You know I love you, right?"
"I don't know"
"What does it mean you don't know??" Your tone feigning shock and disbelief.
"I don't know if you'll love her more than me"
"Oh…you're more of a child than the one I'm carrying in my belly, I swear"
He rolled his eyes at the sarcasm you were using to answer his apparently silly worry. Your reaction made him feel unappreciated, as you didn’t care enough about what caused him that sense of uneasiness.
Mason left you there standing in the bathroom as he let his stressed limbs lay on the soft bed in your bedroom.
“Mase? Are you serious?” You followed him in your room.
“Nevermind, don’t fell like talking now” He uttered, his words muffled as he was keeping his face flat against his pillow.
“Oh my goodness” You closed your eyes, stroking the bridge of your nose back and forth with your finger. The way he was acting was becoming rather annoying, to be honest, and you were too tired to fight for a useless cause with a grown man that was just, in your opinion, throwing a tantrum. “Okay. I’ll be on the sofa eating ice-cream and watching Netflix, if you wanna talk you know where to find me”
You left him there and went to take your spot on the grey sofa downstairs, ready to binge watch the latest season of Derry Girls while scoffing down what was left of your beloved brownie and cookie ice-cream that became a must of your pregnancy by now.
If there was something you hated dealing with was discussing with Mason especially now, where the smallest of inconvenience would bring tears to your eyes.
The moment your view was interrupted by the sound of his footsteps approaching, you sighed under your breath, determined to act as if you hadn't heard him. Until when he took a seat beside you and you felt his eyes burning through you.
“Do you want a spoonful?” You asked him to break the ice.
“Nope, I’d never steal my baby mama’s favourite ice-cream”
That line was supposed to bring a smile to your face and it succeeded in doing so.
“Stop talking about stealing”
You averted your sight from the screen only when Mason placed his head on your thighs, making the butterflies in your stomach come alive.
With your one free hand, you started stroking his cheeks, moving them to massage his scalp.
“What’s troubling you, Mase?”
After you heard him emitting a loud sigh you knew the thing was getting serious so you just paused the tv to have your full attention set on him.
“It’s just - I’m afraid the miss here will steal you from me, that you’ll give her all your love and attention and when it comes to me you’ll be too tired to even look at me”
“Mase -”
“I’m so worried about this, Y/N. I know, this may sound as something childish or immature but I don’t want anything to change between us, apart from changing nappies and things like that”
You let out a soft chuckle and shifted in your seat to face him, as he had gotten up from your lap to seat properly.
“Look, I didn't mean to be harsh earlier, I’m sorry, but you hurt me when you said you weren’t sure whether I loved her more than you. I meant it when I said I’ll love you more than words can ever say. The baby will need all our attention and love and maybe yes, it’ll arrive a moment when we’ll be too tired to even kiss each other goodnight but it’s part of the process”
“I know but…I’m sorry, I wasn’t the one talking, it felt as if someone just took over me and spoke words I didn’t mean to say. I know it’s not easy having to deal with that ever growing belly but sometimes I just feel like I’m not doing enough to make you feel good and I hate that. I know she’ll need all our love, I’ve started loving her the moment you told me we would’ve become parents but sorry...I’ve been feeling weird lately” ”
The promise you made yourself not to cry, failed miserably and your orbs started getting watery with tears.
“You have nothing to reproach yourself for, Mason, really. It’s just - oh great, I’m a mess and she started kicking like a fucking footballer”
Mason chuckled and he promptly put his hand over the hump she formed pressing her feet against your belly.
“She learnt from the best” He wiggled his eyebrows.
“The fact is that…I appreciate every little thing you do to make my pregnancy a little more bearable and I’m so grateful for you, every single moment of my life but the truth is I don’t appreciate my changing body as much as you do and I always feel hideous, I’m really embarrassed of myself... the thought you want to make love to me feels absurd to me” You burst out crying and Mason had to hug you tightly to calm you down. “I’m sorry, I didn’t want to make all of this about me”
“That’s okay and stop feeling sorry for everything. I love you so fucking much. I’m the one who has to be sorry” He let his lips linger against your forehead, detaching from your body when he felt your baby’s kick against his ribcage which was where your belly was leaning against.
He lowered himself further so his face was now at the same height as your stomach, lifting your t-shirt up so your bump was on full display. The moment Mason’s strokes met your swollen skin, your daughter calmed down a bit, giving you a rest.
“I think she’s a bit angry” You said, adjusting yourself against the armrest of the sofa so you could spread your bent legs more to let Mason make himself comfortable against your own body.
“Oh, daddy made you angry? I’m so sorry, sweetheart. Daddy didn’t mean to make his little princess angry, nor your mummy... it’s just that he loves your mummy so much…remember she was mine first, okay?”
“If I didn’t know you, I’d think you are drunk”
“I’m drunk in love”
“Oh Mase…”
“And now please baby, behave and don’t hurt mama cause she and dada have things to do”
“What kind of things do we have to do?”
“The ones where dada helps mama to love herself more…”

I Can Do It Better
NOTES: Hi guys 🤭 it’s been a while and I can assure you I’m in a much better place now and was inspired to write after re reading my old fics. For now I’ll be posting my old fics and I hope you enjoy 🫶🏼
WORD COUNT: 12.1k words
Tumblr media
It was the first weekend you spent in Manchester. It felt a little odd adjusting to the new lifestyle in a new city where you barely knew anyone, it was going to take a while to get used to for sure but there was no one else you’d rather do it with.
The one person you sacrifice it all for
The reason you moved up here in the first place
The love of your life. Your boyfriend.
Mason Mount
Both of you are spending the evening in a restaurant in the city centre of Manchester with Mason’s new teammates alongside some of the WAGS.
You were nervous at first because you hadn’t met his new teammates properly yet apart from the England teammates, but meeting new people always made you anxious. It brought out the introvert in you, a side to you that you rarely showed anyone. What people think of you always matters to you because you’re a people’s pleaser and their first impression of you always matters, thinking about it made you feel sick. You wanted to make people believe that you were this confident, outgoing person but who were you to fool?
Even meeting the WAGS made you feel uneasy, everyone was either influencers or had their own businesses and then there was you, who had a basic 9-5 office job. Which there was nothing wrong with but it made you feel insecure about your relationship because you always thought in the back of your mind that you weren’t Mason’s type, no matter how many times he reassured you.
In terms of friendships, you also had a bad luck. You had a lot of fake friends since college, some of whom you had to cut off from your life because you didn't need toxic people in your life like that, no matter how much it hurt you, but you had to do it for the sake of your mental health.
You had a good few friends that you’d do anything for. But there was one where you’d just drop everything for at that second.
And that was your partner in crime, Sid.
From the beginning, this girl had been by your side all the way through. You could count on her to make your day ten times better, no matter what day it was, whether it was a bad day or a good day, she just knew how to make your day better.
It didn't take you long to figure out what you were going to do without her in Manchester. Because you were used to seeing her every day, you hadn't accepted that you had moved away from her and that she won't be a few minutes away from me, instead she will be a few hours away from me, but you didn't want to deal with it yet because you were used to seeing her every day and didn't want to accept that you had moved miles away from her.
You wanted to get through tonight without any problems.
You and Mason were the first people to get there surprisingly, because usually you were used to being late. The nerves were getting to you, Mason who was beside you in the waiting area had his arm around your waist, and another hand on your bare thigh silently comforting you.
As well as seeing Mason's nervousness, it was evident that it was a big deal for him, of course. He was meeting his teammates for the first time and was hoping that they'd all get along. You grabbed the hand that was on his thigh and started kissing his knuckles lightly just to show comfort and to give him reassurance that you were always there for him.
You put your arm around him, as he buried his face into your neck as his hand went to your bare back, “You okay?” You whispered, wanting to do your best to try and calm his nerves. As soon as he was about to reply both of your phones started going crazy with Twitter notifications, just to see that The Sun had posted a moment the two of you had a minute ago.

“Gosh, they’re quick aren’t they?” Mason laughed, making you laugh too.
You both had spent a few minutes before the rest of them had come, in that time a couple of his fans came up to him asking for a photo, which he couldn’t say no too.
The sight of him with fans always managed to melt your heart. He was just so gentle and caring with them. You heard one of the fans that had come up to him say that Mason was his role model and it made you so emotional and proud at the same time. The way Mason’s smile brightened when he heard that, it’s a sight you’d never get tired of seeing.
His smile is the most beautiful ever. The way his dimples come into place and his eyes crinkle with his smile. It’s just a little too perfect.
-
Once everyone had finally come and you got seated your nerves started to settle but your hands never left Mason’s squeezing it every so often. All of you had got seated into a private room so that they couldn’t get interrupted, which Mason was secretly thankful for. You were squeezed in between Mason on one side and Jadon on the other, with Anouska opposite you, which you were thankful for.
You had spoken to Anouska a few times when Mason played for England for the Euros and The World Cup. So you were pleased to see a familiar face as it brought you right back to your comfort zone.
While the lads were talking you, Anouska and a few of the WAGS who sat close to Anouska, were talking about girly stuff that satisfied all of us girlies.
You turned to your right to see Mason settling in slowly with his new teammates which settled your heart because that’s all you ever wanted to see.
After months of drama with Chelsea it was like he was slowly losing himself, you saw it first hand. It was heartbreaking to see, so the fact he’s got a fresh start with a new club and seeing him laugh made your stomach erupt with butterflies.
You missed the sound of his laugh so much. It was good to see him coming back to his normal self. It’s all you ever wanted for him. It’s what he deserved.
A while later, Jadon had started a conversation with you. You had known him since the England squad and he was a funny lad. Every time you spoke to him you know there was going to be a good few laughs.
“How’s you and your girl?” You asked, remembering that he had a girl then last time you spoke to each other.
“Oh. We broke up, she wasn’t ready for a relationship, she felt there was too much pressure,” Jadon sighed, you hated yourself to asking that, now that you felt bad.
“I’m sorry for asking, the right one will come along when the times right,” you said smiling softly at him.
“I think I’ve made my mind up anyways. I think you are the perfect woman I need,” Jadon said with a serious tone, your heart dropped, you didn’t want trouble with this teammates. You only have eyes for Mason.
“What?” You asked confusedly. He burst out laughing seeing your reaction.
“I’m joking man, I know you and Mase are practically married. It was just funny seeing your face,” Jadon chuckled.
“Oh shut up J,” You said rolling your eyes playfully as you stood up to go to the bathroom with Anouska and the girls, leaving the boys to their boy chat or whatever they were doing.
-
Mason was talking to Luke who was on the other side of him, when he heard you talking to Jadon. He felt a little jealous that you and him were getting a long well. He knew that you both were good friends from the past England tournaments, but seeing you laugh with him every five minutes made him uneasy to see you with another man. Mason wasn’t trying to be possessive or anything, Mason thought he was getting a bit too some for his liking but he shrugged it off. He had known you had eyes for him and him only.
Once you had gotten up to go to the bathroom, Jadon scooted over to your hair for the time being so he could speak to Mason as he hadn’t done the entire evening.
“You alright bro? I hardly had a chance to speak to you this evening, you settling in alright?” Jadon asked, cutting Mason’s conversation with Luke short.
“Yeah bro! It’s all good. It’s going to take time settling in properly, but me and Y/N will eventually get there. She’s been a big help.”
"Well if ever need anything, you know where me and the Manchester lads are. Speaking of Y/N, she's a good girl. Don't let her out of your sight, someone else might have eyes on her," Jadon winks, as he moves back on to his own chair.
“Sound bro,” Mason sounded annoyed but tried flashing it with a smile which could practically fool anyone. What he was thinking was a whole different story. He had enough questions and doubts in his brain, he tried brushing it off and trying to act as if he wasn’t bothered by which could possibly fool anyone. However, he knew it couldn’t fool you.
You could read him like a book.
-
Ever since you had come back from the bathroom, Mason’s mood was off and no matter how much he tried hiding it with that precious smile of his, you thought to ask about it there and then but you hesitated knowing that this wasn’t the time and place for it.
Walking to your seat, you squeezed Mason’s shoulder in comfort, as you went to sit down you could see Mason playing with his fingers, looking down in his lap while everyone else was talking, you wondered if he felt out of place that’s why his mood was off?
You put your hand on his thigh, smiling softly “Are you okay, Mase?” You asked, as you couldn’t take seeing your boyfriend in a mood.
“I’m okay babe,” he smiled back, bringing the hand that was on your thigh up to his mouth kissing your knuckles gesturing that he was grateful you asked. You don’t know why you asked because you knew what he’d say would be a lie, he’s never not said to you ‘I’m not fine’, previously you’ve had to force it out of him but tonight you didn’t question it any further as you thought there was a time and place for that, and at a restaurant with his new teammates ain’t the place to do that.
Throughout the whole night, he kept to himself, only replying when needed to, but his hand never left yours.
The drive back home was awfully silent. Normally Mason’s hand would be finding his way up your thigh, but today it was by his side or on the gearstick whenever needed to change the gears. He hadn’t given you a second look since you both had left the restaurant, which you found odd.
You wondered if you had done anything to piss him off?
If that was the case he would’ve been moody with you the whole night too right?
And what could’ve you possibly done?
As soon as you parked up to your new shared house, Mason went straight to the front door. Another thing you found odd as he always opened the passenger door for you no matter what.
Was this a coincidence or was he actually mad at you?
You thought you overthinking this whole thing more than you should be, so you decided to leave it.
As soon as you got inside you rapidly took your heels off, relieved that now you were out of them because your feet were in pain the whole night. You don’t know why you did this to yourself every time.
You walked into the kitchen with Mason slowly following you behind. You got yourself a glass of water and while you were drinking it Mason came up behind you, his chest pressing against your back, moving your hair to the side, his arms gripping onto your waist and his head dipping into the crook of your neck, peppering light kisses on your sweet spot. You squirmed slightly because his stubble was tickling you, "you looked out of this world tonight, baby. You're mine. Mine only. Nobody else's. You're my girl." Mason started to get frustrated at how Jadon's words from earlier kept replaying in his mind at this specific moment. Mason couldn't help but get slightly overprotective and possessive over you. He knew you wouldn't do anything to hurt him but still he couldn't help his insecurities that got to the better of him.
“What’s gotten into you, Mase?” You playfully laughed at how his mood changed when you had entered your new home. Mason had ignored you and carried on kissing the crook of your neck just where your sweet spot is.
He knows what he’s doing
You had turned around to face him, causing him to stop with a little pout on his face. “Talk to me, bubs,” you softly spoke, his head down, grabbing your fingers to play with them that had settled him. He felt a little silly for what’s going to come out of his mouth next, but he needed to ask to reassure his doubts and insecurities. “Is there something going on between you and Jadon? You can be honest, I won’t be mad, I just want you to be honest with me,” you were taken back by his comments, how could he think that? You had no idea where this was coming from. “What? No!! Why would you even think that, Mase?” You asked a little surprised that out of all people Mason would think that.
“You can’t blame me for thinking that, you two looked a bit too close for my liking. You were laughing at everything he was saying, you never laugh at my jokes like that,” Mason raised his tone slightly, what Jadon had said to him earlier got into his head.
“Really, Mase? Is this what it’s all about? Not laughing at your jokes? He’s just a funny lad that’s all.” You looked down at your kitchen tiles, not wanting to look at him in the face right now.
“Does funny make you cum?” You shot your head up at that question, meeting your face with Mason’s rather serious face with his eyebrows raised.
“Mason, you’re staring to sound ridiculous now. Do I need to prove how much I love you? I thought moving here with you was enough to prove that.” The last sentence had just slipped out, you didn’t mean to sound like you were doing him a favour by moving here with him.
That felt like a slap in Mason’s face hearing that last sentence come out of your mouth, he was beyond pissed now.
When it was announced that Mason was leaving Chelsea and was starting his new life at Manchester United, Mason had sat you down and had asked you what you’d want to do, whether that was moving to Manchester with him or staying in London.
He had never put any pressure on you knowing that all your family and friends lived in London, he didn’t want you to regret moving in the future, so he let you take your time with deciding what you wanted.
What Mason wanted was a different story, he wanted you to move with him, but he didn’t want it to seem like you had to move with him, because the last thing he’d want is making it seem like you were doing him a favour by moving here.
And that’s exactly what you did.
“I NEVER FUCKING ASKED YOU TO DO THAT!!” Despite having a stern tone, Mason’s angry expression could be clearly seen through the tone of his voice.
“YEAH BECAUSE YOU NEVER NEEDED TO, I FOLLOWED YOU UP HERE BECAUSE I LOVE YOU, I DON’T EVER WANT ANYONE ELSE!” You said frustratedly, trying to prove to him that he’s the only one you want so when he made that accusation it hurt you deeply.
“YEAH, IT FUCKING LOOKED LIKE IT WHEN YOU HAD JADON HANGING OFF YOU ALL NIGHT!!” Mason couldn’t help but roll his eyes which annoyed you even further.
“OH FUCK YOU MASE, YOU’RE BEING SUCH A CHILD”
“OH FUCK ME, YEAH?”
“YEAH, FUCK YOU!!”
Mason rolled his eyes, and you couldn’t be arsed to deal with this anymore, so you went past him shoving his shoulder lightly, “I’m not dealing with this right now, I’m going up to bed,” you said to Mason as you walked out of the kitchen.
Mason grabbed your wrist and pulled you abruptly towards him, his grasp on your waist turned firm. His gaze bore into yours as his lips met yours in a fervent kiss. With no opportunity to catch your breath, the fervour of the kiss increased as Mason pressed you up against the kitchen door. The passionate kisses escalated as neither of you wanted to part.
You feel Mason passionately bringing his lips back to yours as you felt the warmth of his breath against your neck as he trails his lips to your collarbone. He mumbles jump against your skin as your heart races and your breathing quickens. His grip on your waist tightens even more than it was as he pushed your body against the cold wall.
You slightly start to grind against him clothed bulge desperately wanting to feel him, throwing your head back while Mason’s lips trail across your jaw and down your neck, nibbling in your sweet spot as he holds you tight. Now sucking on your sweet spot as he couldn’t help himself, you know a mark will be left there in the morning but right now you don’t care. You moan not being able to hold it in anymore, Mason pulls back to look at you, “those moans are only for me, do you understand that sweetheart?” The tone in his voice is deep, the look in his eye is quite dark, with a cocky expression on his face.
He was enjoying being in control way too much
He threw you over his shoulder and carried you upstairs to your shared bedroom, so he can have his way with you.
“Y/N, you’ve been a tease all night. Now this whole neighbourhood is going to hear you scream my name tonight, they’re all going to know you’re mine,” he growled with an air of dominance.
Mason wasted no time in stripping your clothes off
You shivered, nodding. He smirked, as he threw you onto the bed, now that you’re both naked you never got used to the sight of seeing Mason naked, you were speechless everytime, your eyes went straight to his boxers which he hadn’t taken off yet. Mason smirked cockily at your reaction, “Oh so now you want me, eyes up here sweetheart,” he smiled, before hovering over you and tipped your chin up so you could look at him in the eyes, looking into those lust eyes knowing how much he wants you fuck you right now, “get on your all fours for me, baby.” Mason winked, as you just got lost in his eyes before Mason spoke again “baby, I really don’t want to have to ask again,” which brought you back to reality and did what he said.
He wasn’t one to be reckoned with when he was like this
territorial & jealous
“Jadon said you were a good girl, but good girls go flirting around with other people do they?” He breathed, showing his jealous side which you quite clearly enjoyed seeing him like this.
“So that makes you a naughty girl, my naughty girl.”
He gave your ass a little slap, watching it bounce from the impact with a satisfied smirk. You flinched but you secretly loved how rough her was being, “this is what naughty girls deserve.”
Mason quickly stripped out of his boxers, rolling a condom onto his thick, throbbing erection, before lining himself up at your entrance and shoving it in abruptly. Causing you to gasp at the sudden burning. The burning quickly subsided as you adjusted to Mason’s size, still to this date you never got used to his size. He started thrusting fast and furiously, tugging on your hair and making you lift your head so he could leave hot, wet kisses on the side of your neck.
You grunted with each thrust, trying to hold yourself up as your arms weakened in pleasure, but it didn’t stop Mason. He pounded into you with all of his anger, all of his jealousy, all of his possessiveness. “You’re such a slut, flirting with my friends,” Mason adds, slapping your ass once again. You absolutely loved this side of him, already soaring towards your release. Loud moans and screams left your lips, his name falling from them like a prayer. Your whole body shook, and the headboard against the wall sounded like thunder from his forcefully it was rocking. Mason pulled you up on your knees, so your bodies were fully flesh against each other, but he didn’t slow down.
“You like that, sweetheart? You like my cock buried inside your sweet little pussy? I bet Jadon couldn’t fuck you like this?”Mason growled.
“No, just you,” you managed to choke out, dangerously close to your climax.
“Say it again, who makes you feel this good?” He demanded, his cockiness getting to him.
“You, Mase, only you!!” You cried out, orgasm crashing over you and Mason released at the same time as you, both of you sharing an intimate moment together.
You lay there breathless, and Mason parted your legs again.
“Mase?” You asked, trying to get your breath back.
“When you can’t walk tomorrow, I want you to remember how good my cock was inside you and how good my tongue is,” he grinned deviously
His tongue darted inside you, and you groaned in ecstasy, still sensitive from the rough fucking he’d just given you. He slipped two fingers inside you, pumping in and out quickly and mercilessly as his tongue worked magic on your clit, almost immediately bringing you to your second orgasm of the night.
Mason spent all night pleasuring you in multiple ways and by the time he was finished, you were completely exhausted. You couldn’t even move and your clit kept throbbing, your legs twitching from time to time.
Mason lazily left a soft kiss along the already formed hi keys on your skin. He smiled against your lips and then laid down next to you, wrapping his arms around you, so now your head was on his chest.
“You did so good, baby. You took it all like a pro,” he. complimented.
“Mhmm… Hey, Mase. i just want to say I’m sorry-” you smiled, trying to apologise but you looked confused when he stopped you when he put his finger over your lips.
“Ah no, if anything I should be apologising to you, I’m sorry my doubts got to the better of me,” you smiled as he placed a kiss on your lips.
Mason chuckled as you quickly fell asleep in his arms, listening to him whisper how beautiful you are, how glad he was that you were his, and he doesn’t know what he did in life to get you. He truly felt like the luckiest man in the world.
Mason looked over at your sleeping figure, and thinking about the day when you both first met, how he thought you were the most beautiful woman in the crowd, effortlessly beautiful and how you’d never change anything from that day. It was the most perfect moment.
He was so thankful that his best friend and your best friend who joint heads together and set you two up, otherwise he wouldn’t be here where he was now.

Two years ago, you had met Mason during the EURO 2020, Sid had practically dragged you out of the house to watch the match, she was supporting her boyfriend Ben Chilwell, and you were actually off work for a change.
All you wanted to do was catch up on a Netflix series you had started watching but your best friend had other plans as soon as she’d known you were free. You hadn’t seen her in a few days and for you two that’s quite a while without seeing each other because you two at least see each other once a day, it would be nice to see her but just not a at a football match.
You weren’t interested in sports, you were clueless to even think about what was happening apart from the obvious points, that they have go get the ball in the opposite goals. In all honesty you found it boring, you once tried watching a football match at home with Sid and you fell asleep. Hence why you weren’t excited about this match.
You shoved on an England t- shirt you had from ages and paired it with ripped jeans, your hair loosely curled and you went for a natural make up look which consists of, a face tint, tiny bit of concealer to cover your horrendous eye bags, cream contour and cream blush, brown mascara to make it look more natural, laniege lip mask with a tiny bit of brown lip liner and you finished it off with the Charlotte Tilbury setting spray to lock it all in so it could last the whole day.
Once you had arrived at the stadium, you walked down to your seats which were the best in the whole stadium, that was the only good thing about Sid being a WAG. Even so, apart from the occasional teasing, you were happy that she found someone who cares for her and makes her happy.
It would be nice if you could look a bit more lively, don't you think?” Sid said as she settled down into her chair and started to get comfortable. As a response, you simply glared at her, knowing you'd rather be in bed right now, but you couldn't do anything besides try to enjoy the game now that you were here despite the fact that you'd prefer to be in bed.
Mason was warming up when he spotted you, he got lost in thought and didn’t hear what Benwas saying to him, “helloooo earth to Mase,” he snapped his fingers in front of his face that brought him back to reality.
“What got you into dreamland, you were looking over at the box? It better not be my missus,” Ben said, getting protective over his girl. Mason raised his eyebrow, “what no?! I’m happy for you two mate I wouldn’t get in the way of you two. I was wondering who’s next to her, I never seen her before,” Mason replied, his cheeks turning pink.
“Aww, does Masey have a little crush,” Ben teased, making Mason laugh and playfully push him. “Nah mate. It’s not like that, I was just wondering who she was that’s all,” Mason cheekily smiled. “The slight blush on your cheeks says something else,” Mason glared at him as he still didn’t answer Mason’s question, “Alright alright! She’s Sid’s best friend, she rarely comes out of her house, hence why you haven’t seen her.” Mason just nodded before getting back to warming up.
Ben wasn’t wrong, you were a homebody as you liked to call it. You just enjoyed being in the comfort of your own home, there was just nothing else like it. What also didn’t help is that you were a massive introvert, you only spoke to people you knew comfortably so if anyone came up to you in public and asked you something you’d panic because quite frankly you didn’t know how to hold a conversation, you found it always being awkward and you hated the atmosphere and working from home didn’t help your communication skills. You thought you were getting social anxiety but you didn’t want to self diagnose yourself.
Mason, however, couldn’t keep his eyes off you. It’s like his eyes kept automatically directing him up to where you were sitting. He thought you were one of the most beautiful women he’s laid eyes on, the way your hair elegantly fell into place without even trying, and your smile? He thought he fell in love at first sight.
He knew you were different.
Different from other girls.
As soon as he laid eyes on you, he knew that you would be a genuine person, and he wasn't sure how to explain it, but he knew deep within his heart that he had to find out just for himself whether or not this was true.
After the match, he followed Ben was going to see his girlfriend, he was excited to see you up close. If you had looked good from far away, he bet that you’d look even more attractive up close.
And he was right
You looked even better up close if that was even possible
While the match was going on you couldn’t help but keep your eyes focused on the number 19, your eyes followed everywhere he went. You couldn’t help but admire the way he was playing and you had no clue about the sport.
There was one moment that would stay engraved in your brain, he got angry at a player and started swearing at him. You didn’t know if it was normal to feel like this, you started to daydream a fantasy you thought that would never happen. You hadn’t thought you were daydreaming until Sid snapped her fingers to get you back into the zone.
“Is someone starting to form a crush,” she said playfully wiggling her eyebrows, and you brushed it off like it was nothing, “pfft no, you know me and crushes never went well,” there was truth in what you said.
You’d always find yourself crushing on someone who would never look twice at you, that was the sad reality and with Mason Mount who’s a premier league footballer, there was no chance he’d even take a look at me.
“Well this could go well, if someone puts a word in?”
You eyes went wide, shaking your head, “You dare and I’ll hate you forever,” you say sternly, you didn’t want to make the first move. In your head if someone had their eyes on you, they should make the move instead of you making the first move.
That way you don’t embarrass yourself.
So if Mason did ever have feelings for you, which you doubted, he should make the first move. Besides the fact that now he’s on the pitch playing, he could make a move after if he ever did have feelings.
You spent another 45 mins practically drooling over him. That was until after the game you could see him and Chilly, Sid’s boyfriend walking to the pair of you. You felt panic wash over you.
You turned to Sid with a panicky expression, “omg he’s coming over, what do I say? How do I act? Do I look fine?” You had a load of questions.
“First of all my love, relax. I thought you didn’t have a crush on him?” You glare at her because now was not the time. “Okay, Okay! You look perfect as always, and don’t think of what to say, let the conversation flow naturally. That way is always the best,” she gives you a heartwarming smile.
You didn’t think someone could look so perfect up close but that was the case with Mason.
You were really deep into this and you hadn’t even chatted to him.
You don’t know why you were panicking because you two hit it off really well, you did as Sid said and let the conversation flow and it did you wonders because you managed you bag yourself a date.
-
One date turned into two dates, two dates turned into three etc, 3 months into the relationship you became his girlfriend, 6 months in you said your ‘I love yous’ and the rest became history.
-
He didn’t know how he got so lucky to have you but he’d forever be thankful for God for sending you into his life. You’d been there for him for the toughest moments in his life. He’s forever appreciative of you.

declanrice replied: still two years later you are actually whipped bro
*masonmount liked this message*
-> masonmount: there’s no way I’d rather have it and you can’t talk, you are just as bad 🏻🤣

He laughed at Declan’s message as it had come through in his notifications, he wasn’t wrong in what he said. Him and Declan used to dream of the day settling down with their person, their forever, and it feels like it’s finally happening and he couldn’t be more glad. If he was called whipped so be it, if it makes you happy that’s all he wanted.
Our relationship was nowhere near perfect as no relationship is, and tonight was a good example of it. However no matter how many times you two had disagreements and at the time didn’t see the good side of things, Mason always thought that arguing would somewhat make the connection stronger.
He lifted his head slightly to look at your sleeping figure, trying not to move too harshly as he didn’t want to wake you up, you looked too comfortable and adorable to move. He placed multiple light kisses on your temple. He took one deep look at you, smiled to himself thinking how he was so lucky to have you and how he’s so in love with you and he wouldn’t change that for the world.
You were his forever and he was yours.
He finally drifted off to sleep, feeling content and safe. His worries were forgotten, and his mind was at ease. With a peaceful expression on his face, he slept with a huge grin on his face.
The next morning you woke up to Mason staring at you lovingly, his smile reaching his eyes and his dimples fell into place, even in the mornings he looked so effortlessly handsome.
“Morning handsome,” you kissed him softly as you greeted him good morning. He smiled at you and wrapped his arms around you, pulling you into a tight embrace. You both held each other for a moment, taking in the peacefulness of the morning. You felt a warmth inside your chest that could only be described as love.
Mason smiled down at you, his voice still thick with sleep, “good morning beautiful,” he murmured as you just smiled at him, giving him a soft kiss on his lips and he dips his head into your neck.
You stayed in bed for a little while he was placing kisses every so often whether that was on your forehead, neck or the side of your head. You had to get up soon though because Mason had training and you wanted to make him breakfast before he left.
The two of you had breakfast together, enjoying every second of it until he had to say his goodbyes giving you a kiss before he left.
While he was gone you decided to call your best friend, Sid, because she was coming down to Manchester to see you. You had dinner booked in the evening which you couldn’t wait for, because it felt like an eternity since you saw her.
The day had gone by so quick as you were mostly cleaning the whole day but the time had come to get ready for this evening.
You had to rush because you hadn’t been keeping on an eye on the time and you hated yourself for it because you wanted to take your time to get ready and actually feel good for once and whenever you tend to rush you always end up not liking your makeup and then your mood gets ruined but you were convinced no one can ruin your mood because you were off to see your bestfriend and that put you in a good mood.
You were originally going to get a taxi but Mason being the gentleman he is offered to drop you off which worked for you but you didn’t want to bother him because of his long day at training.
-
You think you actually screamed when you saw Sid, running up to hug her which you hadn’t done in almost two weeks, you felt emotional being reunited again. No one told you how hard it was going to be with now a long distance bestie.
You caught up on each others gossip, on what you had missed and catching up on daily life.
When the two of you were younger you both dreamed of being a footballers girlfriend, you don’t know why but the thought of it sounded so appealing,
“Toast to our younger selves who would be so proud of us right now.” Sid said, putting both of your glasses up to raise a toast. Which you cheered to, for once you felt happy about where you were in life right now. The fact that both you and Sid were happy together made the feeling even more special.
We were both where we needed to be in life and you were so glad.

You and Sid had shared a taxi back to her hotel before the driver made another stop to take you back home. It was originally your intention for her to stay at yours and masons shared house, but she was being a bit stubborn and booked a hotel room in the hotel for the two nights instead of staying at your house. She had a train booked back to London early morning so you didn’t want to stay out too late either because both of you loved your sleep too much.
You didn’t know when you’d see her again and you hated the circumstances for being this way but you were also grateful that Mason was happy and that’s all that mattered to you. You can’t lie, you felt a little emotional saying goodbye to her, even you’d text every second of the day, there was nothing like seeing your friends in real life.
You smiled at her interaction at your story. Although you found it weird that Jadon had replied to your story but brushed it off thinking that he was being friendly with you and replied because you didn’t want to seem rude.
Part of you didn’t know whether to mention this to Mason or not, considering you had an argument about it the other day. You didn’t want to have any arguments today, you just wanted to go home and cuddle with the love of your life.
As soon as you got home all you wanted was Mason, you had missed him even though it was a quarter of the night you hadn’t seen him.
You found him in the living room, curled up on the sofa with a blanket on him, on his phone scrolling while the tv was on in the background not being looked at, just there for the noise. He hadn’t noticed you had come back until you stood in front of him, he peered up to look at you through his lashes, “hey you. You have a good night?” Mason asks while moving the blanket and patting his hand on his knee indicating you to sit on his lap.
You felt yourself go soft at the sight of him, it was quite cold out there so all you wanted to do was to cuddle up against him while you fall asleep in the warmth of his arms around you the whole night.
“I did. it was nice seeing Sid again after two weeks, that seems like a long time I’ve gone without her and it feels weird to say because we are normally joined by the hip,” you said a little deflated as got comfortable on his lap.
“That’s good! As you long you enjoyed yourself baby!” Mason said enthusiastically as he moves your hair to the side leaving your right shoulder bare for him to kiss. You had given him a rundown on what happened the entire evening and he every so often lifted his head up from your neck to kiss your forehead in a soft gesture.
That was until you stopped talking to see he had fallen asleep and because you didn’t want him to ruin his sleep downstairs you gently woke him up, “Mase, go to bed. I’ll be up once I’ve make sure everything’s locked,” you said before getting off his lap and going to the front door to make sure it was locked.
When you had come back to the living room, you’d seen that he had listened and went up to bed, before you went up you went to check all the windows were locked too.
You always had to double check it was locked otherwise god forbid if anything was to happen, the blame would have landed on you. You felt yourself shudder thinking about it.
As you had entered your shared bedroom, you flopped on the bed feeling exhausted after the day you had. Mason was in the bathroom brushing his teeth and getting ready for bed.
Once you looked up to see he was done, he was standing there completely shirtless and in boxers, still to this day you never got used to this image that was in front of you. You felt like you were gazing in dreamland, with a a lttle drool coming by the side of your mouth. You didn't realise you had zoned out until he spoke, "take a picture, it will last longer," he winked.
You rolled your eyes at his comment, as you got off the bed to go to the en suite to take off your makeup. You took off your lashes which felt like a relief taking them off, and grabbed your cleansing balm to melt your makeup off, to finally be make up free.
Your phone buzzed which was on the bed where you were laying a few minutes ago, so you told Mason to check it
You and Mason trusted each other with your phones, it’s not like either of you had anything to hide.
His heart had dropped with what he saw. He had a million questions running through his mind right now.
Why was he messaging you?
What were you two speaking about?
He had thought the worst by a single notification.
Tumblr media
Mason stayed quiet while his mind was thinking overtime, he was wondering whether to mention this to you or if he should stay silent and wait to see if you say something.
You entered back in the bedroom done with your nighttime routine, getting into bed where Mason was sat, his head resting on the headboard.
“Who was the notification from?” You asked him as you got comfortable in your bed. He didn’t respond, he just handed you the phone with an unimpressed expression. You just looked down to see that Jadon had liked your message.
“Oh,” you mumble silently
“Did you forget to tell me or were you even planning on telling me? I thought we didn’t keep secrets from each other.”
“Mase, you’re overreacting! If you looked at the messages you’d realise it’s nothing!” You raise your voice a little because you were tired of arguing over the same thing.
“Oh? I’m overreacting? Me!!” Mason matches the same tone as yours.
“C’mon Mase, actually read the messages,”
“No, I’ve seen what I’ve needed to, that’s enough!”
You try to hand your photo to him while unlocking your phone to show him the full chat, but he wasn’t having it. He pushed your arm away. He had to exhale before he said the next sentence.
“Listen if you don’t want to be with me, you can just tell me outright. You don’t have to go behind my-”
“Don’t you dare finish that sentence!” You interrupted him. You were tired of going round in circles and ending up in the same place. You thought after yesterday he would’ve understood that you only want him.
“Do I need to prove how much I love you? If I didn’t I wouldn’t have wanted to start a new life with you up here, moving with you.”
There it was again
Bringing up the move constantly after every argument.
He looked at you deep in the eye, eyes filled with tiredness and anger, not only he was tired about having to argue about this whole situation about million times but he also felt insecure every time this was brought up.
“Do you need to fucking bring up the move every time? I’m so grateful that you moved up here with me but I don’t need you throwing that comment in my face every time. As well as you i’ve left everything back in London too. You don’t need to make this about you 24/7!!” Mason snapped
He regretted that comment right after it was said, he got off the bed and rushed looking for his top.
“I need fresh air, I’m going for a walk to clear my mind.” Mason says rushing out of the bedroom quickly putting his top on, by the time you were about to speak, it was almost too late as you heard a loud slam from the door.
-
He always thought you were almost too perfect to be with him. Out of his league. Thinking that you could do so much better than him. He had trauma and doubts from his previous relationship, which was what left him with the doubts.
He felt the cold breeze of air hit him while he took a walk around his quiet estate. He didn’t know where he was walking but he just carried on to see where his feet take him.
Remembering what went wrong in his previous relationship to help save this one, he felt like your relationship was failing and the last thing he wanted to do was to lose you.
You meant the world to him and he couldn’t risk losing you and he was so appreciative that you wanted to move up with him, but he didn’t need you constantly nagging at him like you’ve done a massive favour.
It doesn’t count as a favour when it’s for the people you love
Even thinking about it made him feel sick
It was about three years ago when he met his ex Molly, which he met at a club, mistaking her for someone else. They had hit it off straightaway. During the night Mason thought that he had found his partner for life already, which was obviously wrong but he had the wrong first impressions of her.
They had decided to go out for a date and take it from there to see how it goes. It went great, or so he thought.
He decided to give this girl a chance as she seemed genuine and didn’t seem like the girl to fuck about.
Look can be deceiving
It was about 3 months into the relationship, it wasn’t all rainbows and sunshine. In fact it wasn’t at all. During the first month he noticed on his free days she’d rather spend time with her girl mates and if that wasn’t an option she’d make some sort of excuse.
She was in for one thing only
Fame
Molly obviously knew who Mason was the second they started talking, her and her friends and come up with a cunning plan. All Molly wanted to become was an influencer, so she took the chance and took it. She thought if she’d act like she’s interested in him, it would get her the followers she’d need and then once she’d have enough, she’d come up with a sob story to say this isn’t working.
In her little world things were going well for her until one afternoon Mason was home earlier than she had expected and the night before she had stayed over his after a night out because it was closer to him. Once Mason had stepped into his house, he was eager to see his girlfriend. They were in the ‘honeymoon’ stage so they are bound to be excited, well at least one of them.
As soon as he got closer to his bedroom door where Molly was, he heard her over the phone talking to one her friends what it sounded like. “Yeah babe, he won’t find anything out. Bless him he thinks I actually like him,” that was the sentence that broke him.
Molly’s true intentions were revealed and he hated how he fell into this trap.
Once Mason had found out what Molly’s plans were, he wasted no time in telling her to get the fuck out of his house and his life.
To say Mason was devastated was an understatement, he kept thinking about how he lets people in so easily, this whole situation got him feeling shit and insecure.
He promised himself that he wouldn’t trust someone so easily again.
However no matter how shit his past was, he should've never treated you like that. He made a promise to not let his insecurities get to the better of him. No matter how bad the situation is and you two should just talk like grown adults you are. He knew you were tired of this bullshit too.
This late night walk did his mind wonders, he saw a Tesco nearby and decided to pop in to get you some flowers to help lighten the mood as you both didn’t help by all the shouting. Sometimes leaving your mind alone to think works magic and gives you time to reflect on what you both could’ve said to handle the situation better, but in this heat of the moment things get said which you both regret.
As he walked into the shared house, he rushed upstairs with the flowers in his hand ready to give them to you, he was praying that you hadn’t gone to sleep because he was told not to sleep on an argument as the next day wasn’t guaranteed.
He walked into to your shared bedroom only to be met with an empty bed. There was only one other place he thought you could be.
The guest bedroom
In previous house together, whenever the two of you would get into a heated argument, Y/N would always go to the guest bedroom indicating that she needs space before the argument gets pretty ugly.
And that’s exactly what she needed tonight
He couldn’t blame you
He needed to stop letting his past get to him so easily, just because one person made him feel easy doesn’t mean that you’d be the same. In fact he knew you wouldn’t do the same.
Maybe he needed to tell you to help overcome the doubts that he had and that it would make you understand why he’s like this.
-
After Mason had left furiously, slamming the door behind, you had guilt inside of you. You should’ve told him even if it was a minor thing, you didn’t want to be the one that kept secrets from him.
You wanted him to trust you
But also him accusing you of talking to other people when you’re happier than you’ve ever been with him deeply hurt you because you had thought better of him, and you didn’t think he’d stoop that low to accuse you of something like that.
Both of you were in the wrong
You needed to find a way to communicate with each other better.
You went to sleep in the guest bedroom, you thought it would the best thing you both needed, just a night alone away from each other to clear each others minds
Sleep wasn’t coming easy to you, you were tossing and turning every few minutes, your mind at unease because you wanted to know where Mason was, ‘when’s he coming back?’
These questions didn’t stop spiralling in your head, you began to overthink as time went on, such as ‘what if he’s had enough and wants to break up with you?’ which then went to ‘you don’t know how to manage life without him’
It sounds stupid but you didn’t know how to cope without him
It wasn’t long until tears started forming in the corner of your eyes, the more you imagined life without him you convinced yourself that wouldn’t ever heal. Tears now rolling down your cheeks, soaking the pillow.
A short while after your little breakdown, the guestroom door creaked opened and you obviously it’s going to be Mason so you pretended to be asleep but Mason knew you too well, he knew well enough that you weren’t asleep.
Mason crouched down to the side you were sleeping on, he noticed the dried tear tracks on your face straight away, he hated seeing you upset anyway but knowing he possibly made you cry broke his heart.
He didn’t ever want to be the reason for your tears and he promised you from the start that he’ll always keep you happy but he had failed you.
The flowers now sitting on the bedside table unnoticed. Mason pushed your hair out of your face ever so gently, caressing your cheek.
“C’mon baby, I know you’re not sleep. I think you forget I know you too well.” He chuckled a little to ease the tension
You smiled lightly at his comment and fluttered your eyes open, meeting your eyes with his beautiful lust eyes. He smiled at the sight of you “there’s my beautiful girl.”
You couldn’t help but blush almost forgetting about what happened in the last hour.
“I think we should talk,” Mason’s tone sounded desperate, he felt sorrowful. Your heart had dropped on the tone of his voice, you thought this was it.
He’s going to break up with you.
Mason noticed your mood change when he spoke, he got himself from the crouched position and sat himself on the side of the bed gently moving your legs so he could sit properly and comfort you.
“Hey, what’s wrong?” He asked, pulling you up and embracing you with his arms around you. “Nothing” your voice had cracked, as you weren’t sure if you could say more without crying. You hid yourself in his neck, your shaking shoulders gave it away, he clung onto you tighter rubbing your back to comfort you.
“You wanna tell me what’s wrong?” He spoke softly kissing the side of your head every now and then
“Don’t leave me,” you thought you were overreacting but you didn’t know what he was going to come out with.
“Where has that come from? What makes you think I’m going to leave you? Do you know how much you mean to me? I could never live a day without you, you’re my forever baby,” he felt himself choke on the last sentence, even thinking about leaving made him feel sick in the pit of his stomach.
“What do you want to talk to me about then?” You sniffed, feeling stupid that he wanted to speak to you about something else, making a fool out of yourself for no reason.
“I wanted to tell you something. The main reason why I have doubts and feel insecure when you’re talking to other men. I know I shouldn’t have any right to say anything when you don’t have any problem with me talking to women. It should work both ways, so this is fair.”
As he took a deep breath, he recounted the story of how he met Molly and how things went down from the beginning to the end. To say that you were angry would be a major understatement. How could somebody even have the audacity to be so blatant about treating someone like this? It had angered you to find out that she had treated your man in such a way. Your anger was bubbling up inside of you, but on your face was a soft expression as you were trying to comfort him, as you could tell it was still hurting him. It’s like he was traumatised by this and you couldn’t blame him.
This girl seemed like a massive bitch by her actions, if you had ever crossed paths with her you would make sure she be sorry for being a bitch. You were deeply hurt the fact that she made Mason feel like this.
“Every time I look at you, I just think god I must have done something right to gain an angel like you, I don’t deserve you.” Mason’s voice cracked, trying to blink away the tears and it tore you apart seeing him like this. He’s been through enough already.
“Woah, you gotta stop there bub. Don’t you dare say anything bad about yourself, because you’re truly the best thing that happened to me. I’m so grateful Sid managed to drag me out of the house and go to the match otherwise we wouldn’t have crossed paths. You have a heart of gold, you’re so self less. You put other people first when it should be the other way babe. Put yourself first! People who take advantage of you don’t deserve in the fucking slightest. If I ever meet this bitch she’d better run because she doesn’t know what’s coming. I’d have to get the big guns out,” you tried to lighten the situation and it worked because he gave you a smile that will always make you weak in the knees.
“I think even if you didn’t go to the match we would’ve still found our way to each other because we’re meant to be. You are my forever,” he says ever so proudly with his eyes twinkling.
“I love you!”
“I love you too, so much!”
The two of you spent a few minutes appreciating each others presence in comfortable silence, placing a few kisses on each other. It was only then you realised the flowers that were sitting on the bedside table, you looked at him in surprise, “you got these for me?” you questioned.
“Oh shit I forgot to give you them,” he slapped his forehead in playful manner which made you giggle. “But yes I did baby, it’s been a while since I got you flowers,” you heart warmed at the gesture.
“Just when I thought I couldn’t get anymore luckier,” you blushed. Mason just smiled, giving you a kiss on the lips as a response.
You two spent the whole night like that, curled up with your head on his chest while his hands rested under your shirt, his fingers stoking up and down your stomach.
Holding each other close the whole night.
-
It had been a few days since that night and you were going out tonight Mason and his teammates.
Over the last few days, you two just decided to get off whatever was on your chest so you two could start fresh with the move and everything.
You had agreed to block Jadon too, after what Mason told you what he said to him the other night. You didn’t feel comfortable talking to him anymore.
Tonight he was going to be there too which is going to be awkward but with Mason by your side you’re sure you’ll get through it.
So here you were, sat in a dim restaurant waiting for the food you ordered a few minutes ago. Mason placed his hand on your thigh and you didn’t think much of it until it had started wandering up your thighs and under your dress. “Keep quiet,” he whispered, smiling innocently giving the impression that you two were talking about something ordinary.
“Mason, behave,” you replied, glaring at him slightly as your cheeks heat up at the feeling of his fingertips on your inner thigh.
“Seeing as he can’t keep his eyes off you, he deserves to know what’s mine and what he’ll only ever dream off,” Mason said with a smirk on his face.
It was evident to a bird that Jadon had his eyes on you since you walked in with Mase, at first glance you thought it was a friendly thing but the more you saw him glancing at you the more you felt slightly uncomfortable. You were grateful to have Mason by your side even though he was good at teasing you.
He began touching you through the fabric of your underwear, gently pressing his hand against your groin, which made you flinch and if you hadn’t been in public, you would’ve gasped.
Mason turned back to his teammates, engaging in their conversation while acting like nothing happened. The moment he pushed your underwear to the side and started rubbing your clit in circular motions you reflexively clenched your legs together, but Mason was quick to spread your legs again.
You dragged your bottom lip between your teeth, trying your hardest to hold back a moan when he inserted two fingers and slowly pumped them in and out while caressing your clit with his free fingers. He kept doing this at a steady slow pace that he knew drove you crazy every time he chose to give you an even more intense feeling by not speeding it up like you wanted.
Just when it was getting even more difficult to not make a sound, Mason directed a question at you, knowing full well that you weren’t able to speak without making ungodly noises that would get you all kicked out from this restaurant before you even got your food. You glared at your boyfriend because he knew what he was doing and it was frustrating you, if only you could let him have his way with you right here.
Mason smirked and continued moving his fingers around your clit, speeding up just a little, “ Are you okay, Y/N?” Luke asked slightly worried.
You simply nodded and forced yourself to smile, pretty sure that if you spoke now, you couldn’t pull yourself together. Since Mason started, he didn’t shown any sign of excitement or shame whatsoever, joking around with his teammates like everything was normal, as if he wasn’t fingering you under the table. He curled his fingers to massage your sensitive spot, all while keeping a straight face.
You breathing got heavier as you were getting closer and closer to your climax, but all of a sudden Mason pulled his hand away, leaving you hanging before you could reach your orgasm. The moment you realised he wasn’t going to finish you off, you reached down, ready for the job yourself, but grabbed your wrist and gave you an assertive look, silently telling you to wait.
You cleared your throat before excusing yourself from the table, squeezing your thigh to signal him to follow you inconspicuously, pushing your chair back to stand up and walking in direction to the bathrooms.
A few minutes later, he came in with a cheeky grin on his face after he closed the door behind him. You crashed your lips into his, kissing him forcefully as you couldn’t wait anymore.
“Fucking finish what you started,” you muttered as you broke away. Mason kneeled on the floor, pushing your underwear down and pushing your dress up so he can get a full view of you.
He grips you by the hips and then cranes his neck forward to kiss and lick between your thighs, tongue gliding between the folds of your pussy, in a way that makes you ache for him even more desperately.
You pull him up to stand, so you can reach for his jeans, unbuckling that belt and zipper without breaking eye contact. His arms are on the wall behind you, caging you in and he’s smirking. You know how much he loves this, having you undress him.
Once your hands are free, he emerged forward, his body pressing you against the sink, “turn around for me, bub. It’s going to be hard and fast, just like you need it. Isn’t that right?”
“Please,” you say eagerly
You shiver as you feel and hear him take himself into his hand, he spits on his cock and then there’s the wet, push and pull sound of him jerking himself off. It gives you goosebumps. You widen your stance, trying to balance yourself on your heels, and he presses a soothing hand against your back to keep you still as he slides inside of you in one smooth movement.
Oh my god. You want to scream in relief. He feels so much deeper from this angle. Heavier. Bigger. Like you can feel him in your stomach.
Mason's hand clings to yours as he bends you over in front of the sink, his fingers grasping your knuckles while he bends you over, holding on to your knuckles. From this angle, you feel impossibly full.
He kisses the naked skin of your back and throat where your dress is exposed, you grin meeting his face in the mirror.
His hands don’t stop, constantly groping your breasts. His mouth hot and wet on your neck.
Your eyes flutter close, you love how low his voice gets when he’s this deep. It feels good. Feels like someone is touching you from inside out, being with him is consuming. You want him. All of him. All the time. Everywhere.
“Feels so good, Mase,” you whimper as you grind back against him, your skin singing with relief at finally feeling satisfied.
When you finally open your eyes you moan again at the sight of Mason reflected back on the glass in front of you. He’s leaving indents on your skin, hickey that you’ll worry about in the morning. The best part is watching him fuck you.
He looks beautiful, sliding his tongue over his mouth, biting into his lips as he loses himself in staring at how your pussy and his cock work together. Watching himself disappear inside of you with each stutter and thrust of his hips. When he looks up to find you staring at him through the reflection, he smiles so wide and so soft that it makes you tighten around him.
“Mase,” you whimper, wanting to say more but your words got caught in your throat. He feels unbelievably good.
He gathers you closer and sneaks his fingers into the space between your thighs and starts rubbing your swollen clit with two fingers. Your elbows almost losing their balance when touching you, the sensation makes you feel like your knees could buckle.
“Oh my god! Mase-”
“You gonna cum for me baby? Gonna coat my cock with your cum?”
“Yes, only for you Mase!”
You felt a stinging sensation on your scalp where he reaches to tug on your hair. Your spine has no choice but to arch back. The best kind of pain.
“I’m going to make you come so hard, but you need to stay with me okay, angel?” You grit your teeth on a particularly hard thrust.
“I need you to come for me,” Mason says, desperately wanting to feel you cum for him.
Your body obeys him before your mind can think, you’re so weak for him, your shoulders are shaking from the effort of not trying to scream his name.
Mason grips your face gently, as if he could recognise how torn you feel. “That’s it baby. My good girl. Did so well for me angel. Gonna make me come too.”
“Yes! Come for me Mase, I want to feel it-”
And that’s what always does it.
You begging him. He can never resist the ache in your voice. He moans into your mouth as he lets himself go. You talk him through it too, telling how much you love him, how good he looks when he comes, how you wanna feel it deep. His cock is pulsing when he’s done and how he lets go of your lips as his neck rolls back and tries catching his breath. His release settling inside you that makes you feel soothed.
“Fucking hell,” he laughs, sinking his weight onto you, loving the feeling of him against your back. “I’m so glad you’re mine. I get to fuck you for the rest of my life, how lucky am I?” Mason chuckles.
“You tease, and yet I thought you loved me for my brain,” you turned around to place your head on his chest and hugged him.
“Oh believe me I love that too! You don’t understand how sexy is when you turn into a sexy know it all,” Mason winks, placing his head in the crook of your neck, kissing it innocently.
You roll your eyes at his comment. “Come on, let’s go before they suspect anything,” you try to push him off but he wasn’t letting you go. “Masonnnn,” you groan longing out his name. “Fine, but gimme a kiss first,” you roll your eyes at his neediness. You gave into him and you should’ve known he was going to push this kiss deeper than intended. You pull away, “uh uh that’s enough mister,” he gives you a fake sad expression but you weren’t falling for that. He leaned in again but you moved your head so instead his lips met your cheek. He gave you a pout, “Listen if he start again now, we’re never going to stop. I’ll give you what you want when we’re home.”
Instantly his mood changed into a quirkier mood. He grabbed your hand and led you out of the bathroom, “We’re going home,” his pace started to get faster but you suddenly stopped him in the middle of the hall way, “what about your teammates? it’s a bit rude if we leave now,” you said not wanting to leave half way through as it seemed rude.
Mason placed a finger to lips “shh. I’ll just tell them you were being sick or something and speaking of rudeness, wasn’t it rude when you were begging me to fuck you under the table while my teammates were there?” He cockily said, smirking.
Well that certainly shut you up
“That’s what I thought.” He continued his pace until he reached the table you had sat at. “Sorry guys, but we have to go. Y/n’s not feeling well, she just threw up in the toilets,” you wanted to laugh at how much of a good liar he is but you couldn’t otherwise that would have ruined your ‘evening plans’
They all looked at you with a sympathetic look in their eyes clearly believing Mason. You found it hard enough to keep a straight face and when they all looked at you, you wanted to start laughing but you needed to hold them in
Marcus started off saying “Mate don’t be sorry, you’ve got priorities! We completely understand!!” He said enthusiastically following along with the others who were agreeing. You all said your goodbyes and Mason was eager enough to get out of this restaurant.
You reached the car park walking to his car that he had pushed you against as he pulled you close and your lips met in a passionate kiss that seemed to last forever, completely oblivious of the fact that you were in public.
Mason pulled away, “As much as I’d love to do this, we have to remember we’re in public and I really don’t want to wake up to the sun articles saying ‘Mason Mount was caught snogging his girlfriends face off’. I can just picture it” You laughed at him mocking the sun articles which would probably most likely be true.
“I promise to fuck you until you see the stars tonight,” he promises with a wink as he kisses one last time. Now you are eager to get home to see Mason obey what he promised you.
Mason had found the quicker route home, while you couldn’t keep his hands off him. Him speeding because he couldn’t wait to touch you, making love to you the whole night.
You were in for a night of fun ahead of you..

✨under the table✨ - mason mount x reader

Y/N had never been to this restaurant. The fanciness and seemingly high-end decorations should be enough explanation as to why. She stared at Mason in complete adoration as he touched her back, gently pushing her forward to follow the waiter. They walked near the back of the restaurant. The waiter had unlocked a door, gesturing for them to enter.
“I’ll be back in a few minutes to get your order,” He placed the menus on the mahogany table. The round furniture draped with a black cloth, accentuating the starch white plates and crystal silverware. A bottle of wine stood to the right, candles lit in the middle of the table. They nodded at his statement.
“Gosh, mase. This must be so expensive,” She glanced around the room in amazement, dazzling lights reflecting in her irises. He pulled a chair out for her like a proper gentlemen. She smiled in appreciation.
“Only the best for my girl,” He planted a kiss on her temple, settling himself on his seat. Mason tried his best to focus on reading the description of each dish but Y/N was more interesting. Her hair curtained as she faced down to read the menu. She bit her lip in thought, her stomach growling in anticipation.
“Think I’m going to get steak with mash,” She stated, folding the menu closed. Mason immediately glanced down to pretend like he wasn’t just staring at her beauty, Imagining dirty thoughts. Her thighs parted around his head. Her juices dripping past her clenching hole, looking for something thick and big to fill her.
“I’ll get the same but with a side of peas,“
“Copy cat,” She teased, filling her glass with white wine. The stain of her lipstick on the rim made him absolutely mad.
“What’s gotten into you? Aren’t you hungry?” Y/N asked, slicing her steak, popping a bite in her mouth. She moaned at the taste, releasing a satisfied moan and even letting her eyes roll a little. “It’s so good,”
Mason dug his blunt fingernails on his outer thighs to prevent himself from gripping her hair and fucking her into oblivion. She had no clue of her effect on him. Y/n had raised a brow at him, utensils paused to wait for his answer. He glanced at his plate, clearly untouched except for the small spoonful’s he scooped of his peas. I am,“
"Why aren’t you eating then?” She questioned, easing another forkful in her mouth.
“I’m hungry for something else,” He drawled out, suggestiveness dripping form his tongue. His lustful gaze eyeing the pucker of her lips.
She widened her eyes, freezing at his statement. “We’re in public!”
He shrugged, gesturing to the private room he had booked for them that surely was about to be handy. “And? You can’t tell me you don’t want my head between your thighs,” He leaned back against his seat, one arm resting on the opaque table cloth draped over the table. “That you don’t want my tongue licking your pussy,” He bit his lip , watching her take a sip of her wine nervously.
“Stop it, Mason,” The waver of her voice indicated to Mason that she was being affected. Her thighs squeezing tightly for the slightest bit of friction against her core. She tucked a strand of hair, shifting uncomfortably at the growing wetness. The fabric of her satin red dress suddenly feeling too heavy on her skin. Warmth crawling up her legs. Despite the exposure of her cleavage from the deep cut, she couldn’t help but feel completely naked under Mason’s scrutiny.
“Don’t you?”
She heaved a deep breath, stabbing her steak in frustration for letting his words affect her so much. “No, I don’t.” She gritted her teeth, hating the way his dimple deepened with the curve of his lips upward.
“That’s a lie,” He pushed his elbows forward, making her instinctively rest her back against the seat in intimidation. “I know you’re squeezin’ your thighs right now. Wanting to feel something touch your pussy. Bet you’re wet, soaking your panties,” His tongue darted out to lick his lips, glistening his mouth and making it almost impossible not to kiss him. “Want me to go on?”
Her utensils clanged against the plate. A shot of arousal flooding her body. If she focused, she was sure that she could feel the moisture on the apex of her thighs. She wondered if it would be a good idea to tell Mason that she wasn’t wearing anything underneath her scarlet dress.
“I-I,” She stuttered, “I’m not wearing anything underneath,” Her whisper was attentive as if there was an ear pressed up against the door.
“Fuck,” He seethed through his teeth, rolling his head back at the thought of her dripping on the chair. The stain of her slickness flooding between her thighs. It was enough to make his mouth water, “You’re making it hard not to drop on my knees right now,”
As much as she wanted his lips around her clit, tongue prodding between her slit; Y/N knew that this wasn’t the place to do it. She failed to stay quiet when his mouth attached to her core. He was way too good at eating her pussy. Feverishly mouthing her wet skin into his mouth as if he hadn’t eaten in days. Groaning in pleasure like seeing her eyes closed in pure bliss was bringing him satisfaction. “Don’t,’
He tilted his head, saying in a mocking tone, “No?”
She shook her head, watching as he disappeared under the cloth, “What the hell is he doing?” Y/N mumbled to herself. The opaque table cloth prevented her from seeing him. Mason crawled underneath the table, the light from the room seeping through the cloth, allowing him a great view of Y/N’s shaking legs, bouncing up and down.
“M-mason,” His warm palms pushed her legs apart, her scent engulfing his senses. She gripped the corners of the table, keeping her eyes glued on the door directly facing her. She moaned, extremely turned on, throwing caution in the wind.
He pushed her dress up, bunching the silky fabric on the tops of her thighs. Y/N was grateful that the table cloth was long. Mason pulled on her hips, asking her to move closer to the edge of the chair. He spread her thighs further, creating a little nook for himself between her legs. He nipped at the plush skin, making Y/N straighten her back.
“Oh my god,” She whispered. Mixed feelings swirled in her; the rush of being eaten out under the table in a private yet public place spiking her arousal. He gripped her calf, placing her legs over his shoulder for a better position. She tried to appear as normal as possible; not like her boyfriend was about to grace her with his talented tongue. He fisted the fabric of her dress to get it out of the way, balancing her as he traced the tip of his tongue against her slit.
“No fuckin’ panties. Tryna kill me, I swear it,” Mason growled lowly. Y/N sucked her lips into her mouth, eyeing the hinge of the door. A knock sounded from outside, the waiter probably checking in on them. He lifted the table cloth to meet her frantic eyes, “Try to stay quiet for me, yeah?”
The door opened less than a second later. The waiter entering with a tray of wine for a replacement of their empty one. “Hello there, where’s your date?“ A friendly smile directed to her.
Y/N nodded in response, a tight-lipped smile was returned, “In the bathroom,” She inconspicuously reached down to tug on Mason’s hair, warning him to not do anything. Of course, he didn’t listen.
“I’ve brought our finest selection of wine,” The waiter’s gloved hands gestured at the bottles, proceeding to explain each wine’s flavour and history. Y/N tried her best to appear present despite Mason’s warm tongue flattening to lick her deeper. Licks stroking her wetness from her fluttering hole to her sensitive clit, depositing the wetness under the hood. His plump lips puckering around her nub. He sucked softly, trilling his tongue.
“Which one would you like?”
Y/N’s lulled eyes snapped open, “The second one,” The waiter nodded, turning his back to uncork the bottle open. Y/N took the distraction to wet her dry lips, Mason peeking a slit from the cloth to stare at her throat bobbing as she stared at the ceiling. He smirked at the sight, dropping it to get back to work. His fingers dug on the skin of her ass planted on the chair. Heavy breathing filtering through his nose and hitting her mound as he stretched his lips to fit her whole pussy in his mouth. Y/N couldn’t help but release a whimper at the sensation.
“What was that?” The waiter turned around pouring the wine in hers and Mason’s empty glass. Mason bit her thigh as a warning to stay fucking quiet.
“Just…can’t wait to taste it,”
“Is there anything else you need?”
Y/N shook head immediately, “No, you can leave now,” Barely holding on to the moan she wanted to release. The door closed shut, exhaling a sigh of relief. “Holy shit, Mase,”
“Great job, baby. I can’t wait to taste it too,” Mason tightened his wet muscle, firming the tip and using it to outline circles around her entrance. He traced the rim of her opening, gathering all the sweet juices that he had yet to savour, humming low in his throat as he swallowed it down. Groaning heavily against her core, his nose pressing into her clit in added stimulation. She wanted to scream. Her throat ached to yell out his name instead of being forced to experience this much pleasure without an outlet. Y/N wanted to see his face but she was too fucked out to reach over and hold the cloth. The mystery of not knowing his next actions heightening her anticipation, clenching her stomach with the unknown sensations. She balled her hands into a fist, slamming them against the table that had Mason chuckling.
He curled his tongue inside of her, feeling each groove of her core, slicing each wall with an intimate stroke of his tongue. He dropped his legs from his shoulders. She just about shrieked when Y/N felt his middle and ring finger prodding her tight hole, petting her slit as he kissed around her body. She felt frustrated at him for taking away his tongue. She felt absolutely insane and out of control when his fingers plunged into nudge at her swollen g-spot, tapping his tongue rapidly against her button, “You’re so good to me,” She sighed, allowing her body to slouch, her thighs shaking with his abuse. She was sure that the waiter won’t be entering for a while.
“Taste so good for me,” He muttered in response, moaning at the way a clear, thick liquid attached to his bottom lip. He swiped his tongue to break the string, savouring her taste. His fingers curled up, jolting her hips along with the wave of pleasure he was providing her. Silent whimpers littered her mouth, desperate pleas of his name escaping her lips in breathy gasps. Her hand grabbed the back of his head, encouraging him to continue his actions.
Mason made out with her pussy–a full lip-smacking, tongue grazing session with his fingers toying inside of her. He pulled his fingers out of her. She hissed in response, mumbling quiet begs.
“What was that?” He asked arrogantly, instructing her to hold the cloth so that they could see each other. “Want somethin’ from me? Tell me what,”
Sweat dripped on her chest, slipping under her dress. Her eyes clenched shut as she tried to collect her heaving pants into a calm breath, “I want your tongue on me and your fingers,”
“You want my tongue, baby?”
She whined at the nickname, pushing her hips up to feel something. Anything. She was so desperate to cum that she nearly forgot where they were. Her half-eaten dinner was cold from being untouched. The meal was probably in the hundredths yet the only thing she cared about was coming undone.
“Yes, please,”
He granted her wish to stick his tongue further in her pussy until a pull at the back of his throat prevented him. He explored her center with ominous hunger, cheeks wet with spit and arousal. He pressed his face closer, a newfound determination to make her cum right under his nose. Strong strokes of his tongue planing up her nerves almost to the point of pleasurable pain. The harshness of his licks splitting her pussy around his tongue. His mouth pulled her clit, harshly sucking at the nub until it popped from his mouth. Leaning into taking it into his mouth again, humming low in his throat to push her further over the edge. Watching the engorged bundle of nerves redden with his deep sucks and trilling licks. He shook his head, dipping the tip of his tongue into her core, letting his movement prod her walls.
“C’mon, kitten. Cum for me,”
She sobbed feeling the electricity sparking. The coiling spring in her stomach tightening to the point that she could feel the heat radiating from her body. The chilling in her spine buzzed with each flick of his muscle stroking her up and down. Tiny pricks of pins and needles flickered her arse, the rough movements of her hips rubbing her ass against the coarse seat. Her eyes rolled to the back of her head, white noise filling her ears. She hadn’t had the sound mind to muffle noises with her palm, leaving every cry she had to release in the open air. Luckily, Mason snaked his arm to cover her mouth just as she heaved a tortured sob. His palm getting wet with tears that exuded from her strained eyes from the force of her orgasm exploding from her center to the rest of her body.
Her fingers twitched with the need to ground herself. Toes curled in her high heels while Mason continued to prolong her orgasm with slick rubs to her clit. His fingers spreading to squeeze the nerve in between, catching the nub at its most heightened sensitivity until she had to push him away, using the tip of her heel to nudge at his torso.
Mason slipped out from under the table, knees cracking from being bent for too long. He stretched his arms over his head. He used his napkin to wipe his dripping fingers, sipping his wine while Y/N panted tiredly.
“You’re insane. I can’t believe you did that,”
He rolled his eyes, “I can’t believe you almost got us caught,” He inspected the questionable stains on his maroon velvet suit, clicking his tongue as if to say ‘oh well’.
“You’re the one who kept going!” Y/N defended, crossing her arms over her chest. She stood up on shaky legs to give him a hug, burying her face in his chest. “Next time, it’s going to be you,”
Mason pushed her back by her shoulders, “Me? What do you mean?” Y/N swatted his chest in annoyance. As if he didn’t know what she meant.
She glazed her eyes over with innocence, a pout on her lips, “I dunno. Might just duck under the table and lick your cock. Maybe even suck the tip. You know how much I love your taste,”
He tensed in her arms, Adam’s apple bobbing in his throat, “You wouldn’t,” He chuckled in denial, knowing full well that she wasn’t the type to do something as dirty as that.
“No?” She mirrored Mason’s words from earlier, tilting her head to the side. “But I wanna watch you squirm in front of everyone. Wanna feel your big cock deep in my throat and they’d have no idea that you’re letting your little girl suck you off under the table,”
The hardness in his pants nudged her lower stomach, forming a discernible bulge in his black trousers. He was not only a narcissist. Mason wasn’t one to shy away from exploring his sex life with Y/N, wanting to do anything and everything with her. Uncomfortable blurts of precum soaking his boxers at the thought of having to act as if he wasn’t quite literally getting his dick sucked by Y/N’s heavenly mouth.
He can’t wait for their next date.
