We're going back in time to see my good ol' boy Sera today. Cranking it back to Yakuza 0 days, we are. Sera mine belove.
Seems cold on the outside but he's actually just not sure how to react to emotional things. He's a great businessman and has a logical head on his shoulders, so when confronted with emotionally related problems, he doesn't react much facially out of habit. Inside though, he's thinking very hard.
Quite thoughtful, maybe to a fault. Would think long and hard about how to confess to you, how to ask you out, where to take you, and all that. Because of how inward he is, it won't show much that he's interested so it's easy to get the idea that he's just not into you like that. Best way to tell is how hard he maintains eye contact with you when talking to you. If he really likes you, he will not break eye contact for anything short of a natural disaster.
Traditional dinner date guy. Classy joint, good food, not too outlandishly lavish so as to make you feel comfortable. Preferably somewhere not too loud or quiet so you two can maintain a decent conversation while also taking in the vibe of the city's nightlife.
Not the most talkative but is always sincere and direct when he speaks. People are always surprised at the fact that he just likes spending time with you and talking to you given how quiet he can be. Truthfully, you just make him feel comfortable.
In his home life, Sera maintains a clean household. He's organized and timely, early to rise and early to go to bed too. He wouldn't expect you to conform to his busy schedule but would appreciate understanding on days where he finds himself busier than normal. A partner that's constantly demanding his attention is difficult for him.
Has an average sex drive. Almost always tops and has pretty good endurance. Not particularly kinky but has a more dominant vibe for sure. Gives good aftercare.

welcome to my insane yakuza AU / story / whatever where all of my headcanons converge and i went insane. uhhhh open things in a new window for legibility too?? i might upload the relationship chart on its own eventually tho bc oh boy
have some notes below the cut lol but first.... bonus long haired Kiryu
i’ll go into more detail about this AU and the different stories laterrrr but like here r the bare bones of it
three stories, one taking place in 1969 (Happier Than Ever), one taking place in 1979 (La Dolce Vita), and one taking place in 2022 (Pushing Up Daffodils)
Happier Than Ever is about Kazama and Shimano when they were first sorta getting started and making names for themselves. Young yakuza being horrible and stupid and gay. Inter-clan intrigue / inter-clan espionage sort of vibes. A lot of relationship exploration between Shimano and Kazama. Sohei’s sort of there, Sagawa pops up a few times. We get to see two men go “I can make him better” and then make each other objectively worse. Generational trauma’s gotta start somewhere I guess!
La Dolce Vita is about Yayoi, Kashiwagi, and Sera. It is... more or less them co-parenting Daigo for a few months because of some clan conflict bullshit that made Sohei figure it’d be safer for Yayoi and Daigo to be out of Tokyo. Kashiwagi is sent with her to keep an eye on her, and Sera is serving as a kinda envoy between them and Kazama and Sohei while everything’s dealt with. They become a polycule, there’s a lot of wishful thinking.... things definitely won’t turn out tragically in a x amount of years.
Also Kashiwagi is Daigo’s actual biological dad idc what anyone says
Pushing Up Daffodils is about Haruka post y6 and y7. Having been dealing with Kiryu’s presumed death since he faked it, she now has to deal with the fact that Kiryu’s actually still alive when he goes back to Okinawa. Because of the way she and Kiryu just cannot connect to each other and her frustration with his distant behavior towards her and the other kids, she goes back to mainland Japan to basically shake former Tojo and Omi people around until she can figure out how to fix her family, bc ooooh boy, Kazama actually fucked up Kiryu more than she - and anyone else - realized
It all goes back to Happier Than Ever, unsurprisingly
Finally.... Kiryu confronts his trauma.
