Could you do an analysis for a Thief of Heart? Thief analysis were less than I thought ^^
Absolutely! I’ve been trying to get an even spread of Classes and Aspects as much as possible, and now is a great time for my first Thief analysis.
The thing to keep in mind with Thieves is that they steal what they lack. Unlike Rogues, who simply help diffuse their Aspect from areas of high concentration to areas of low concentration, a Thief will try to fill their own void with as much of their Aspect as they can get their hands on, caring little if this upsets the balance of power, or even of the universe itself. We have some truly amazing Thieves in canon to draw inspiration from when it comes to their motivations and general attitudes. That being said, always remember that a title does not necessarily lock a person into one particular personality type. It’s simply a way to determine in which ways they’ll affect the world around them, coupled with the various strengths or challenges that come with such a title.
When it comes to Thieves in canon, Vriska and Meenah would seem at first to make Thieves out to be selfish, villainous individuals who take for themselves without regard for others. While some of this is true of these two characters, keep in mind that all Classpects are capable of acting in their own interests while sidelining others. Consider Aranea, for example, whose main job as a Sylph was to heal the gaps in the knowledge of others--which she primarily did by spouting exposition to anyone who would listen--and allow them to see and understand certain truths about the world, even going so far as to heal Terezi’s eyes and literally restore her sight. Yet, she also became a villain in her own right, standing in the way of our heroes and declaring that she had both the knowledge and the power to make things right, regardless of the consequences. With that in mind, it’s easy to see how even a Class associated with healing can be given to someone who ends up becoming steered in the wrong direction. Thieves simply act out of the desire to fill the void in themselves with whatever might make them feel whole again, even if that means taking from others. As the Thief of Light, Vriska was famous for this; having extraordinarily bad luck by nature, she sought to steal it from others in order to boost her own luck artificially. Another notable representation of Light is relevance, and our resident Spiderbitch certainly hogged quite a bit of the spotlight in order to cope with her deepest fears of vanishing into irrelevance, devoid of any ability to affect the world around her. Underneath that mask of confidence is the tortured mind of a girl who fears going unnoticed, becoming forgotten, so she desperately clings to relevance by puffing herself up as the most important person in the room, even orchestrating the creation of Bec Noir so she could have an ultimate endgame villain to conquer, winning the glory for herself.
I could go on and on about Vriska for days, but suffice it to say that she’s a perfect example of a still-immature Thief--that is, one who has yet to come to terms with the fact that they may always lack their Aspect, when it comes down to it, but that isn’t always a bad thing.
Now, as for the ever-popular Aspect of Heart, this is where things get really interesting. Heart represents who you are at your core, your soul, the things that set you apart regardless of which universal incarnation you’re a part of. It’s what draws both Mom and Roxy to be such avid fans of wizards and scientific pursuits, or connects Grandpa and Jake through their thirst for adventure. It’s the reason why Dirk is such a fearsome enemy, because he doesn’t just kill enemies like Aranea outright--he destroys her soul in what is presumably a permanent end to her existence as we know it. Heart also deals with the splitting or shattering of one’s own identity, whether its in modest ways like Nepeta’s love of roleplaying, or in more obvious ways such as Dirk’s continuous separation of himself into various mechanical vessels. Heroes of Heart often go through a very difficult journey, coming face-to-face with their own identity and being forced to question exactly who they are when it really comes down to it. A Thief of Heart, then, would be someone who lacks a stable identity, who reaches out for guidance from others at first, and then unconsciously copies personality traits from others in order to construct their own. It’s not unlikely that a Thief of Heart--or any Heart player, really--might struggle with a personality disorder, particularly one that deals a lot with the unintentional integration of other personality traits into one’s own. They search desperately for stability in who they are, but they often struggle to find solid ground, and this can cause a lot of internal conflict.
The Thief of Heart will be the type to stare into a mirror for what seems like hours, asking “who am I, really?” and finding no answers. Until they’re able to grow and become content with the idea that they don’t need a consistent personality to be considered an individual deserving of compassion, they’ll likely struggle with this, and this can cause a lot of conflict with their team. A good-natured team will do their best to support their teammate, but if the Thief of Heart isn’t well-liked among their allies, they may find themselves ostracized for being perceived as “two-faced” or manipulative. It’s not a Classpect that’s easy to cope with, as it almost seems to mock a person’s deepest fears, but Classpects can be given to challenge just as often as they support a Hero’s growth, as unfair as it may seem.
In combat, the Thief of Heart will be an incredible offensive force, and a high-level Thief could even steal the soulforce or even the very souls of their enemies, giving themselves a unique power-up while rendering enemy forces useless against them. As long as the Thief has a strong team behind them, ready to support their various offensive powerhouses, any session with a Thief of Heart will strike serious blows against those who dare to oppose them, provided they support their Thief’s growth and maturation along the way.

When Jo Met Charlie
SPN Rare Pair CC Round: 10 | SprinkleOfHappinessUniverse vs @marunata
Pairing: Charlie x Jo
Prompt: Freezing Rain
Tags/Warnings: freezing rain, Charlie has a cold because of it, Charlie may or may not have a crush, mentions of swearing, not so humble bragging and my not so great writing (yes that's a warning)
Word Count: 1, 573
A/N: written for the @rareshipcreationschallenge. Im so sorry for posting after the deadline, this was meant to be posted last night but I had internet trouble!
Jo basked in the peace that the now quiet roadhouse brung. She found it rather cathartic, quietly cleaning up and listening to the pouring rain batter against the window. There had been reports of nonstop rain all week accompanied by sub zero temperatures. As a result Ellen had dipped into her savings to install a new heating system in the roadhouse, so her staff and customers wouldn't freeze to death.
It had been a long and difficult day for Jo. She would never admit it out loud, managing a bar full of rowdy and loud mouthed people who never learned their please’s and thank you’s was a tedious job and a job Jo commended her mother for effortlessly performing and making it seem like learning the alphabet. Ellen was out of town for a few days and had left her daughter in charge. When Ellen first mentioned she needed someone to make sure the place doesn't burn to crisp, Jo offered her expertise more than eager to play manager and take control, however after today’s events she was seriously regretting it and it was only day one.
Ash needed to be somewhere, Jo wasn't too sure why, he had murmured something along the lines of “I ain't losing no bet.”. Rather than argue or question it she let him go early, which left her to close up by herself.
After putting the chairs on top of the tables, Jo collected a couple of abandoned glasses from a nearby table and put them behind the bar, ready to be washed. She had her back turned away from the door which meant she wasn't able to see who it was that walked in, only hearing the door open and the sounds of footsteps.
She silently cursed herself for not locking up, despite turning the sign on the door to say closed.
“Sorry we’re closed,” she shouted, not bothering to turn around. She expected to receive some sort of snarky, drunken response but was instead met with a series of sneezes. She turned around and did not expect to see a pretty redhead standing there. Her glasses sat on the top of her head, tangled in her hair that had become a sopping mess from the rain. Her blue hoodie hung tightly to her and small water droplets drip off it. She pulled one sleeve over her hand and made a feeble attempt at trying to wipe her nose.
“Dude? Are you okay?” Jo asked hesitantly, not exactly sure what to say to the girl who looked like she had seen hell. The girl held up a finger before sneezing again into her sleeve.
“I’m...fine…” she began, sounding snuffed up. “My car broke down, I got caught in the rain and my phone’s dead. Can I use your phone?”
“Sure,” Jo said, cocking her head to get the girl to follow her into the back room.
“I'm Charlie by the way,” the girl, Charlie, said to her. Jo turned around and quirked an eyebrow. “Uh, I figured, I should at least tell you my name since you're letting me use your phone and all.”
“Jo.” Jo said, earning small smile from Charlie.
The two of them walked into the back room and Jo grabbed her phone, tapping in the passcode and getting her phone app up before throwing it to Charlie. Charlie smiled gratefully before tapping in whatever number she needed to call. Jo decided to make some coffee.
“You know Dean Winchester?” Charlie asked suddenly. When Jo turned around she was met with Charlie holding up her phone, Dean’s called ID on screen. Jo nodded.
“Small world,” she murmured before tapping something on the phone and putting it to her ear. Jo wasn't sure what she meant by that until she heard a voice on the other end and Charlie say “hey Dean, so I kinda have a problem….”, then it clicked into place.
She felt a like she was intruding a little on the conversation so she busied herself by getting out a couple of cups of coffee and starting a pot up. Once he poured the water and started stirring the cup she heard Charlie finish up her conversation. She also didn't miss Charlie quietly say “and Dean, she's super cute, why haven't you introduced me too her?”
She smiled to herself and picked up one of her jackets laying stray on the back of a chair before handing it Charlie, so she was at least wearing something that was dry.
“Are you sure?” Charlie asked.
“Before you catch pneumonia or something, I can't have you dying.” Jo joked earning a smile from Charlie who gratefully took it and put it on. Jo went and grabbed the cups of coffee.
“So you think I'm cute, huh?” Jo said smirking as she turned around and handed a cup of coffee to Charlie. A startled look flashed across Charlie’s face and she blushed furiously. Jo being her ever so helpful self, laughed.
“I didn't--no---I--just, ugh,” Charlie stumbled, rubbing her hand on her forehead. “I'm making a real mess of this aren't I?”
Jo shrugged, lips pursed into a smile.
“It's not every day a pretty girl calls you cute.” Charlie broke out into a full smile and now it was Jo’s turn to blush.
“This is getting super cheesy. Flirting is not as easy as it looks on TV, Buffy didn't have this much trouble.” Charlie joked.
“Seriously, Buffy?”
“Buffy is like, one of the greatest female badasses of all time,” Charlie argued. Jo held her hands up in surrender.
“You're a real TV nerd huh?”
“Don't judge.” Charlie murmured before taking a sip of her coffee.
“Did Dean say how long he'd be?” Jo asked, after a few minutes if the two of the, drinking.
“Probably twenty minutes.” Charlie shrugged. “If you don't me gatecrashing here until then.”
“Sure, keeps me company I guess.” Jo replied, casually, as though it was no biggie having Charlie Around. However, on the inside, Jo was glad she didn't blush easily. In the ten minutes she had gotten to know the vivacious girl she had decided she liked her. Jo didn't warm up right away to those close to her, let alone a stranger. The two fell into a semi awkward silence and Jo tried to think of something to do until Dean came. “You any good at pool?”
“Why? You wanna play?” Charlie asked, a slight smirk teased at the corner of her lips. “I gotta warn you though, i’ll probably kick your ass.”
Jo snorted before standing up.
“Okay, you're on.”
The two walked back into the the main area  of the roadhouse. Jo walked over to pool tables and started to chalk up the cues. Charlie managed to land her eyes on the jukebox and began browsing through the various songs.
“I can definitely see why you and Dean are friends,” Charlie shouted over her shoulder. “AC/DC, Guns N Roses, a lot of Led Zep, is Classic Rock the only genre you have?”
“Shuddup and pick something already.” Jo chided. Charlie chuckled and put on A Whole Lotta Love before making her way to the pool table.
“So if I win and by if I mean When, I get to make you one of my own made drinks.” Charlie said. Jo quirked an eyebrow.
“Seriously? You’re gonna make drinks for the girl who works in a bar?”
“Just what until you try it. It's something of...an acquired taste.”
“Okay fine. And if I win, you have to help me run this place tomorrow.”
“You get drinks and I get labour,” Charlie pouted before sticking her hand out to Jo. Jo shook it. “Fine.”
“You ready to lose, red?” Jo remarked smugly.
“I'm your dreams.”
Neither girls expected the other to be so competitive. There was swearing, cursing and a lot of victorious fist pumps. Additionally, neither girls excepted to quite grow so close to together, despite it knowing each other for less than an hour.
It was the sound of Dean’s voice that broke the giggling and shoulder nudging.
“You guys didn't invite me to the slumber party. Did I miss the naked pillow fight?” He teased. Jo flipped him off. His eyes flickered between the two of them before breaking out in a knowing smirk. Both of them rolled their eyes.
“I’ll wait in the car Charlie, and i’ll pick your car up tomorrow.” He said waving them off and walking out.
“Good game.” Charlie said once dean had left.
“We still don't know who won.”
“Well, i’ll save you my terrible drinking making skills but I'll still help you out tomorrow. I mean if you want me too?”
“You wanna help out?” Jo crossed her arms.
“Sure, I guess I kinda liked spending time with you.” Charlie shrugged. Jo could feel herself blush and shifted her gaze to her feet.
“I liked spending time with you too. I guess.” She replied, her cheeks heating up under Charlie's gaze. Charlie leaned over and ever so softly kissed her cheek.
“Guess i’ll see you tomorrow.” Charlie said as she pulled away. She raised her hand in the Vulcan Salute. “Peace out.”
Yep, Jo definitely had a crush.

[Time to] Pick his Spot
Title: [Time to] Pick his Spot
Characters: Gabriel, mentions of the reader, hints at Gabriel x reader
Word Count: ~1.3k (without lyrics)
Warnings: sad-ish, Gabriel-centric
Challenge: @mrswhozeewhatsis #2017 Louden Swain SPN Mini Bang. My song was “Eskimo” as you can probably tell by the lyrics xD
AO3: https://archiveofourown.org/works/11386650
A/n Edit: Also I got paired up with an amazing artist, @marunata ! She loves Gabe as much as I do and I was so happy to get her opinion on my writing and generally working with her was amazing! You can find her stunning, amazing art HERE <3
A/n2: This is very Gabe-centric. There is a reader but only as a supporting character. Because we all have that one person in our life who changed us for the better <3
I once spoke up to a meter maid
She said she liked the work but not the pay
Writing tickets while you run away, afraid
Being an angel sounded so easy. You were supposed to be close to God, the one who created everything. You could fly and reach for the highest heights. You were given power and strength to stand up for what was right. Nothing could stop you. You were supposed to be free.
But like every job it sounded a lot greater in the description.
I said hey to a polar bear
He said he liked it here but not over there
That's what its like inside a dragon's lair
The ice is fading back
Being an angel of the Lord had never been easy. Actually it came with a lot of confusion, responsibilities and questions you were not supposed to ask. Maybe it simply wasn’t meant to be easy. Being an angel of the Lord was hard, but being an archangel was worse. That job came with additional responsibility, something especially the youngest of the four of them didn’t seem to like all that much.
But at the end of the day it wasn’t even humanity that made the job so terrible, humans were noisy, selfish and plain weird little things but in their own way they were special and different from everything else God created. Most angels didn’t want to or simply couldn’t acknowledge the uniqueness of this creation. And here the fighting began, because in the early days when God was still there the job all of them had was still clear and straight forward. Angels were to protect humanity and maybe even learn to care for them. But a job simply wasn’t the same as understanding.
It had taken Gabriel centuries, his own isolation from his family and finally meeting one very special human to actually learn that lesson. In the end he realized that there was no way to learn to care if you weren’t willing to lose your heart.
It's like teaching architecture to an Eskimo
You can show him everything you know
He still gonna build it out of snow
I'm gonna take my long division down to Mexico
I can divide all night
It all seemed terribly inevitable, because no matter what there was no changing deep down. Gabriel had tried so many times to be someone he wasn’t. First after leaving heaven he tried to be a god himself. Being Loki came with a lot of perks, he got the play pranks and enjoy himself with silly, very non-angelic things. Suddenly, with all the other gods, he could surround himself with beings that didn’t listen to orders, missions or sometimes even reason. He had the time of his life finally not cramped in with brothers and sisters who all had gigantic sticks up their asses. It felt like a taste of freedom.
However after hundreds of years of playing the part things changed. The inevitability of his whole existence came down on Gabriel. He was playing god, yes, but was he really anything more than a petulant child aiming high only to find the stars out of reach? Deep down he was still the youngest archangel who was terribly scared of responsibility.
I said hey to an astronaut
He said he wishes he could pick his spot
He said he likes to go out a lot
and not quite make it back
When Kali couldn’t bare his moodiness and brooding anymore and kicked him out of her life, Gabriel realised that after all his struggle to be more he was still an angel. He could do whatever pleased him with a snap of his fingers, his power almost unlimited, but somehow he felt caged nonetheless. He had been good at being a trickster god, but it wasn’t who he was. He was an archangel and with a snap of his fingers he could smite any of those gods, weakened and forgotten by time.
All he wanted was to be like them, but he wasn’t. Never had been. Not quite.
It's like teaching architecture to an Eskimo
You can show him everything you know
He still gonna build it out of snow
I'm gonna take my ticket and kick it down in Mexico
I'm gonna fly, all night
After failing at being a god Gabriel still wasn’t ready to find what he was really looking for. But he was getting closer. Instead of being all-powerful like a god he decided to try and be powerless for once. Like God’s favourite little creation he wanted to try and be simple.
However with his luck that backfired too. After only a couple of short years Gabriel noticed how not simple and easy humanity was. There were so many things that occupied their minds, so many questions and wonders. Some were great and really changed the world, others were actually small but none were ever simple. Thinking seemed to work different for humans than for him. He considered and thought – sure - but he never contemplated, philosophized or plotted. Thinking wasn’t simply thinking for humans, their minds were fascinating.
And again nothing like him.
Been around the world, and I've seen
Enough to know what I mean
I got this ticking in my mind
And its about time
Gabriel had looked everywhere, but nowhere did he find more interesting thoughts and plans than with young people. They had their whole life ahead and were filled with dreams, expectations and goals. They had absolutely no idea of what would really happen in the future yet they were planning to shape it and change the world. In them he recognized a lot of traits he had seen in his angelic brothers and sisters as well. There was belief, strong will, a hint of ambition, the need for control over a situation.
In all his time in isolation from heaven Gabriel would have never thought that young humans would be the ones to remind him of home the most. Though this felt closer to where he came from and what he ultimately was, there were things in humans he still didn’t understand.
The most astonishing thing was their compassion. As the time came closer to the destined fate that had been following him all his life, Gabriel discovered the one thing that would change not only his but also the fate of the world.
I set the record with Joan of Arc
She knew her destiny before that spark
She got the orders and she played her part
He had always known that in the end his brothers Michael and Lucifer would bang heads on a cosmic scale. No matter how much he loved both dickheads it wasn’t enough. The apocalypse was destined to happen and he could not be held responsible whatsoever for any of it.
He was intend to play his part. Right until he wasn’t.
No matter how much he had enjoyed the company of humans he hadn’t felt any deep need to sweep in and safe them. The apocalypse was a family thing and nothing but their own little drama mattered. Until he met you. You were so human, but in all the best ways. Funny without trying, laughing at his jokes no matter how terrible they were, compassionate and understanding. When the apocalypse had drawn closer and closer and even the Winchesters started to accept their parts in the grand plan he finally came clean to you. And all you did was hug him and tell him how sorry you were for his family being so stubborn. It was then, holding you in his arms and smelling your sweet shampoo, that he realised two things. He loved you more than anything and he would fight, take on responsibility to finally be the angel his father wanted him to be. Gabriel had finally learned how precious humanity really was.
It's like teaching architecture to an Eskimo
You can show him everything you know
He still gonna build it out of snow
I'm gonna stand with my feet deeply rooted to the ground below
I can survive, all night...
He didn’t regret choosing humanity over his family and their antics, because deep down he knew his dad would be proud of him. Gabriel finally understood not only his old man better, but who he himself was too. He was the angel who had learned compassion.
He loved and really understood his brothers now. He felt Michael’s deep need to follow their fathers order and the predefined plan of the apocalypse, but he also knew what loving someone too much like Lucifer had felt like. Never again would he belittle humanity, because the ability to feel compassion hurt like a bitch. But he wouldn’t let himself regret it.
Being an angel had never been easy, but so was being human or a god. It was all about trying to understand while you had to accept who you are. And Gabriel had accepted himself and his responsibility when he stood up against his brother in the “Elysian Fields” hotel.
It's like teaching architecture to an Eskimo
You can show him everything you know
He still gonna build it out of snow
I'm gonna take my long division down to Mexico
I can divide, all night
all night

The Usual
SPN Rare Pair CC Round: 10 | @sprinkleofhappinessuniverse vs marunata
Pairing: SamxGabriel
Prompt: Freezing Rain
Tags/Warnings: freeing rain, inaccurate facts about weather and geography, very platonic and short
Word Count: 504
A/N: for the @rareshipcreationschallenge. Sorry for being really late! This is actually my first time writing a proper fic so yeah.
It’s already a normal thing between the two of us.
“Hey, Sammich!” Gabriel appeared, for his weekly “date.”
Although I said “date”, it’s just because Gabriel calls it that. What actually happens is that I get dragged off to wherever he feels like.
Do I enjoy it?
Perhaps.
Occasionally.
Maybe a bit.
“Where to, today?” I asked. As usual, with a lopsided smile, his answer was “It won’t be fun with no surprise!” Though I’m sure that he just regretted telling me before, when we went to Italy. I started preparing for the trip, researching about Italy so I get to be all ready. Gabriel seemed horrified when my computer screen showed the basics of the Italian government.
He still lets me prepare some stuff anyway.
I went to the dining room, where Gabriel seemed to be experimenting with salt and various fruits. Apparently, sprinkling salt over watermelons make it sweeter. He’s been trying to find more combos since he found out.
He noticed me, but kept munching on the fruit. “Ghis fons food”
I didn’t reply and waited, giving him one of what Dean calls a “bitch face.”
After he gulped down his salted lichee, he stood up and snapped away the remains of his ‘experiments’.
“All right! Let’s go then!” Placing two fingers on my forehead, he snapped us away, my stomach lurching as I felt my feet hit hard ground.
Not hard ground.
A split-second later, I felt a sudden chill.
More like freezing.
“What the hell?”
Our surroundings were covered in ice, which was also layering on Gabriel and I.
“Get us out of here! Fast!” I took a step towards Gabriel, but I slipped on the ice, falling on my rear.
Gabriel snorted, giving not a single fuck that I could turn into a living ice statue in no time. “C'mon Sam, ain’t it beautiful?”
“Would be if I weren’t the one freezing to death”
After considering a bit, his face plastered with a bored expression, and snapped his fingers. An umbrella appeared on my lap.
“Really?”
“Sorry, don’t have enough mojo left for angel express. Besides, we’re exactly at the tourist spot, so why not enjoy the view?”
It was beautiful. There were houses blanketed with white, and warm lights spilling from the small windows.
“Where are we?” I asked while opening the umbrella.
“You’re Mr. Stanford, can’t ya guess?” The comment irritated me a bit; I studied law, not geography. I feel like I have seen a picture before, though.
“Well, according to the shape of the roofs, I’d say we’re in a place that snows a lot.”
“And?” Gabriel asked, unhappy with my answer.
“Uh, we’re surrounded in mountains?” He crossed his arms and waited impatiently.
“Scandinavia?” I suggested. Gabriel had been Loki, it should be natural that he would be familiar with places there.
“Nice try, but no.” He started walking towards the village.
“Hey, you haven’t told me the answer yet! Where are you going?”
Looking back a bit, he smiled. “These people have great hospitality, especially towards foreign tourists. Surely they’ll tell you?”
