Nic Brunsdon's (This is) Air will be realized outside the National Gallery of Victoria in December as part of the 2023 Triennial. It will inhale and exhale, making visible the air it embodies. [h/t Andrew Russeth, always keeping an eye out for giant inflatable sphere projects for me]
These ideas of volume and undulation also bring to mind Martin Creed's balloon works, and Paul Chan's Breathers. But here it will be at architectural scale, 14 meters high.

MARTIN CREED THE ONE AND ONLY
"kid yourself - just enough to - kid yourself"
Creed's first band, Owada, was formed in 1994 with Adam McEwen and Keiko Owada. In 1997, they released their first CD, Nothing, on David Cunningham's Piano label.
The album 'Mind Trap' above features songs alongside instrumental pieces for orchestra, released in 2014. It features the following musicians:
Dee Alexander
Yvonne Gage
Andy Knowles
Keiko Owada
Co-produced by Martin with Andy Knowles
Work No. 955 was originally written for the Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Work No. 994 was composed for the Hiroshima Symphony Orchestra and Work No. 1375 was commissioned by the The London Sinfonietta. These pieces were recorded for the album by the Brno Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Mikel Toms.
