🌻coriander: what do they love the most about their s/o, both physical and personality-wise?

You’re some whose very easy for him to talk to. He doesn’t feel like you’re judging him, or underestimating his strength, or making any assumptions based on factors outside of his control. He feels like he could tell you anything, and having this emotional security is incredibly important to Marion; it’s always been difficult to let his real feelings shine through, but it wasn’t healthy for him to keep them inside constantly, so he needed a person who he felt could understand him. Even if you didn’t have the same opinions as he did, there was just something that made him comfortable speaking freely with you.

Marion likes your eyes. They’re like windows to the soul, or so Nova used to joke, but he never really understood the phrase ‘getting lost in their eyes’ until you. He could stare into your eyes forever if you let him but normally, you’d get too flustered, having to look away while Marion couldn’t possibly mirror you.

🌻daisy: what is their love language, both giving and receiving?

Giving: Acts of Service. This is more a goal set by himself but Marion likes to prove that he’s ‘useful’ to you; it’s nothing you’ve ever commented on, and you don’t quite know where it came from as its not like he has anything to prove. He just liked the feeling of knowing he was making your day easier, even when he was busy himself he still tried to fit in tasks that would make your day easier by the end of it. It’s not something he willingly admits to, of course, denying that it’s coming from the love he has for you as it would be too embarrassing to admit.

Receiving: Quality Time. Marion isn’t a high-maintenance lover, as much as his standards might have you perceive him that way. He doesn’t want you going out of your way to do things for him, nor does he have a need for endless gifts (although he won’t ever deny home-cooked breakfast). He always preferred doing things together when your free-time allowed it, like cooking together or watching movies with the entire family; at first he was nervous about spending time alone with you but now it’s exactly what he needs to keep his head on straight.

🌻fennel: what are their kisses like? where do they like to be kissed the most?

Marion’s kisses are thoughtful, always coming in a moment that you suspect yet still knocking you off your feet anyway. You can’t help but lean in to him and it’s exactly what he wants, that closeness that comes with being unabashedly in love. He preferred to take the moments slow, as much as his nerves were set alight when you kissed he couldn’t help but want to savor the moment.

He would say the lips if asked but he doesn’t have a preference, a kiss is a kiss but he does like ones he can reciprocate. When you’re quick with kissing him on the cheek or forehead he always tried to grab you before you could get away, which you now made into a game knowing he wanted to reciprocate any affection you gave him. It left you both giggling in a way you didn’t think Marion was capable of before dating him, kissing each other’s faces until your other responsibilities were remembered.

🌻peony: how do they get their s/o to blush? how does their s/o make them blush?

Marion is always proud when he managed to set up a perfectly romantic moment for the two of you to enjoy together, and the confidence he has about knowing you is something you can’t help but blush over. There are some partners who might take a more bashful approach to it but knowing you inside and out is a source of pride for Marion, who put endless effort into your relationship while training his hardest to be a great hero.

Marion is surprisingly easy to make blush, almost like its natural reaction to your presence. It happened when you leaned in close or suddenly start giving him physical affection before he can mentally prepare, or when you sincerely compliment an outfit you think he looks good in. Having any sort of praise coming from you pleased him, but romantic attention made him more nervous than other kids of attention from you.

🌻sweet pea: are they big on cuddling? what is their favorite position to cuddle their s/o in?

Marion enjoyed cuddling as long as he was in a good mood, as he preferred being left alone or not being confined if he was angry/worked up. There are times where he needs comfort that he’ll let you know it’s okay to be close to him, a comforting arm wrapped around his shoulder as he leaned into you and tried to get ahold of himself as he didn’t want your mood to tank alongside his. There’s something inherently comforting about having a person you can simply lean against and absorb their warmth without being questioned on it, although teasing is imminent especially when the cuddling happens on movie nights.

His favorite way to cuddle was when you were on the couch together, a nice blanket spread across your legs, either you curled up into him or him resting his head on your shoulder. He thought it was nice if somewhat distracting, the first few times finding it impossible to fully focus on the movie but eventually falling into a comfortable rhythm where Jacqueline wouldn’t constantly squeal about how cute the two of you were.

Gast Adler:

Gast doesn’t like it but he doesn’t let his imagination get the best of him. He knew better than to think you’d just up and leave him, and he wasn’t exactly paranoid about that. He still hated seeing someone eye you up so obviously and disrespect your boundaries, getting closer as you clearly tried to exit the conversation. He might not be the type of punk he once was but he doesn’t mind summoning up some intimidation tactics if it means you’ll be left in peace.

Marion Blythe:

Marion will deny it until his last breath but he’s protective over you, and a bit insecure especially in the beginning of the relationship. While he acts like he’s the best thing since sliced bread and is constantly reassured that you share the sentiment, there’s a worry that ticks away at the back of his mind that you might suddenly decide he’s too much to deal with. Seeing someone get too close to you triggered his anger and he had to fight not to blow up on the other person, trying to approach the situation maturely and insert himself into the conversation so he could glare at the other person until they left.

Ren Kisaragi:

Ren is only bothered because he sees you’re bothered. He sensed your discomfort but quietly watched to see if you were going to make a move first, waiting until your eyes desperately met his before interjecting. He doesn’t care about being seen as a rude person (despite the fact he should, for the sake of his hero reputation) and he’d pull you away from them without offering an explanation. You thank him for his good deed but he tells you that it was nothing, and that as your boyfriend he should be looking out for you like that.

Sirius:

Sirius isn’t bothered because he thinks you might forget about him and run away with another man, no, he sees this more as disrespect. You’re not at fault for simply existing as a beautiful being, he could never blame it on you, but the person flirting would be in for a rude awakening. His punishments are cruel and, while not fatal, will leave the person flirting with you thinking twice about ever speaking to you again.

Victor Valentine:

Victor doesn’t notice. It’s not hard to see why Victor doesn’t notice considering he hadn’t thought you were flirting with him the many months, and you were attempting to be as obvious as possible, he simply doesn’t have an eye for this thing. He doesn’t necessarily feel jealous when you confide in him about it either, asking if you simply want his attention (as he did get caught up in his work and might unintentionally neglect your emotional needs) or if you wanted him to speak with the person so they’d leave you alone.

Marion is in denial for a long time so you could say he’s in the courting stage as long as possible. He doesn’t know what to do with his feelings for you and he’s too stubborn to reach out for help, even if everyone around him already knows. Once you’re together he wants to take it just as slow, he’s in no rush to get to any stage of the relationship and he wants to enjoy his time with you while he has it. He takes this relationship very seriously and considered it a big commitment even if it didn’t involve a ring just yet.

While he’s not saving the first time you sleep together for after marriage specifically, he does want to take his time with it and wait until it comes along naturally. But he thinks that specific reason for a relationship makes more sense than just falling in love, because he had yet to ever feel that before you, and he wasn’t the type to seek out aimless pleasure.

It was difficult to tell what direction your relationship with Marion was going at times. He could be so hot or cold, it just depended on the day. He seemed to endlessly confuse you as well as himself on what he wanted out of his feelings for you, as his priorities had always been focused on hero work. His draw to you was undeniable and the confession came in a fit of passion, one where he finally realized he couldn’t hold back any longer. You could see how sensitive and vulnerable Marion felt about confessing to you in such an unruly manner but you appreciated the raw emotion that you rarely got to see from him.

Marion appreciated that you were just a comfortable person to be around. If he wanted to complain, you could handle it, if he was in a bad mood and snippy, you could handle it. When he needed your love and attention, you were there for him. He just really couldn’t imagine being with anyone else like he was with you, you just felt special to him.

10. ♥ Do they include their partners in most aspects of their life?

Once Marion has accepted his feelings for you and you’ve entered the ‘family’ portion of his relationships, you’re included in his life much more often than when you were just friends. He doesn’t think you have to be entangled in every part of his life but knowing his family is very important to him, as well as respecting his work as a hero and that he might not have a lot of free time.

16. ♥ Do they have at least one bonding activity they devote to doing with their partner exclusively?

Marion will consider watching romance movies with you, if that’s what you want. He’ll have a lot of comments and judgments about the couples but watching movies together has been a love language of his for awhile so… it’s the only thing he can think of unless you suggest another way you might like to spend time together. He’s willing to do things that he might not normally be interested in for the sake of your happiness, but don’t point it out as an embarrassed Marion is a little hard to deal with (though still very loveable).

18. ♥ Do they have a ‘type’?

Marion’s only real type is ‘someone who doesn’t annoy him’. He hasn’t thought about romantic relationships enough to actually have a type and while he’s not the type to get along with all personalities, ones that remind him of the people he does tolerate can help. He still thinks that it’s the reason they come to know each other that will really influence the way he thinks of a person so he can’t judge what kind of person will rub him the wrong way or not.

2. ♥ When they have a crush on someone, how do they let them know?

Brad Beams:

Brad viewed his feelings as an inconvenience but there’s no easy way to rid himself of them, even burying himself in work didn’t keep you off his mind. He contemplates for awhile about what the right approach would be as it wasn’t like he was in a good position to have a relationship, but the heart wanted what it wanted. He had never subscribed to such a belief before but then again he had never been plagued with romantic feelings before, and it was beginning to show him that logic could be thrown out the window when it came to pursuing emotional matters.

Dino Albani:

Dino is pretty straight-forward about his affections, not really seeing a point in holding back. He’s unabashedly found of you from the very start and his feelings are obvious without him having to say a word, but he does want to reassure there’s no mix-up on the extent of his feelings. He’s very much head over heels for you and he loved to spend time around you constantly, eyes glowing at the very mention of your name. He’d probably constantly ask you out on pizza dates when he wasn’t busy so you could get to know each other more.

Faith Beams:

Faith is at a loss. Normally he’s the one who gets approached first and he has a plethora of lines at his disposal to use on you yet he can’t find one that really fits the moment. For the first time in his life he finds himself tongue-tied and while frustrating, it was also a bit exciting. He liked that you weren’t the one chasing after him, that you were making him put in the legwork even if it was unintentional. It allowed him to gather his cards and play them at the exact moment he felt ready to, knowing he’d have to break up with a number of ladies if he expected any peace and happiness with you.

Keith Max:

Keith is a fan of the ‘keep my feelings inside until I die’ club and there’s not much that can make him budge on the concept. He hated that he had feelings for you and hated even more that he felt completely unworthy of your company, even if you were friends he didn’t know if he deserved to have those little parts of you. He didn’t voice these concerns because he enjoyed your company and he didn’t want to drive you away but it pained him having to hear you gush about any potential crushes while feeling like his own feelings might never be reciprocated (but he brought it upon himself).

Marion Blythe:

Marion went in the opposite direction of his feelings meaning he treated you like dirt whenever you were around because he had no idea how to handle these feelings. It annoyed him that you gave him this fluttery nervous feeling and he disliked feeling thrown off in your presence, thus he avoided you as much as possible. You still somehow plague his thoughts so it becomes clear to him that he won’t be able to avoid confronting you about this for long but he would try to put it off as long as possible.

Oscar Bale:

Oscar doesn’t recognize what he’s feeling for you at first, thinking that maybe he just had a deep admiration of you and your actions. When he becomes aware that it’s not something normal that everyone feels towards you he started to worry, especially when it distracted him while he was trying to train with the rookies. He doesn’t know how to work out his feelings nor does he really know how to bring it up to you, eventually settling on being as blunt as possible about the way he felt and hoping you could work out what he was getting out.

Gast Adler

Libra Venus. Gast is a gentle lover, one who showered you in affection often and was more than happy to whisper sweet nothings in your ear (once his hands stopped shaking from how nervous he was around you). Scorpio Venus. Ren needed someone who he could be completely emotionally vulnerable with, someone who could help him make sense of all the frustration he held inside of him. He had a complicated relationship with romance yet once he was head over heels it felt so natural, sticking by your side and being the most loyal man you’d ever met in your life. He can be a bit intense when he gets in his feelings but you’re the only one able to talk him off that ledge, able to soothe his overthinking and help him feel grounded once again.

Victor Valentine

Capricorn Venus. The man is nothing but practical which makes romance incredibly difficult for him to experience. He doesn’t see the point for the most part but if he sensed you would be a partner worth having than he might be willing to show off his intelligence and ideas a bit more so you could see what he’s about. Marion Blythe:

Orange Rose - experiencing constant as well as distracting thoughts of the other person.

You were under the impression that Marion was angry with you.

You weren’t quite sure what you did, you couldn’t think of any recent time where he nearly bit your head of for teasing him or anything like that. In fact Marion had been growing more patient with you, seeing the nicknames you gave him as more fond than insulting though it never stopped him from threatening you with his whip. You thought your friendship was going just fine but it seemed Marion felt the opposite with how obviously he ignored you and the way you couldn’t so much as be mentioned without him getting agitated.

“Sorry. Tried to figure it out but he gave me nothin’. Just got real mad when I brought you up, said it was—” Gast rubbed the back of his head sheepishly, his tone truly apologetic. You had enlisted some help in finding out what Marion’s problem was but the redhead remained a brick wall on the issue.

“A personal matter? Yeah! That’s all I got out of him too! But we talked about personal matters before so I don’t get it.”

“…Really?” Gast raised an eyebrow at that, knowing how private Marion preferred to be; he was hardly confided in and he was sure it was the same for Ren, but if Marion talked to you… “You an’ Marion are you guys a…?”

“A what?” You were genuinely confused about where Gast was going but he seemed to immediately regret asking, almost able to taste Marion’s whip if he found out about this conversation.

“D-Don’t worry about it! Nothin’, it’s nothin’!”

With that line of questioning done with you’re left on your own again, heading back to your room so you could brainstorm potential reasons for the brutal cold shoulder you were receiving.

Marion couldn’t sleep at night.

It wasn’t because of Victor’s refusal to turn the lights out either, it had everything to do with you. You who plagued his thoughts, you who gave him confusing, unwanted feelings, you who had been nothing but a thorn in his side since you pushed him into a one-sided friendship. Even if Nova commented it didn’t seem so one-sided anymore Marion ignored him because he didn’t need friends, he only needed to get stronger. But that wasn’t happening if he wasn’t getting the required amount of sleep because the mere image of you sent his heart pounding in his chest and filled him with so much anxiety he could hardly breathe.

He didn’t need love.

What a frustrating, unwanted feeling.

Look what it had done to Nova, the obvious hint of sadness that he tried so desperately to cover with joy whenever Shion was brought up. Marion didn’t want that, he didn’t want the chance of having someone leave him, tragically or by their own desire. He felt hurt enough during his mission to completely avoid you despite the fact it was self-inflicted, and he could remedy it at any time. He was sure Gast came to him on your behalf which irritated him further, you had noticed the change in his behavior and it had almost made him happy.

A childish feeling, wanting someone to be jealous, but that was one he actually understood.

Maybe if he talked to you it would clear things up, maybe it wouldn’t. Maybe if you dated someone else it would settle in his heart that you’d never be together, or maybe it wouldn’t. Marion didn’t know how to help the situation and he’d be damned if he’d ask for advice on it, no one needed to know that he was feeling lovesick for a person he wasn’t even dating. A person who might not even want to date him.

A person who might just leave him behind when he no longer suited their needs.
