Esse projeto é muito especial pra mim porque foi o primeiro depois que eu me formei. Uma amiga muito querida me procurou dizendo que queria repaginar o quarto dela por completo e me deu carta branca pra fazer o que eu quisesse contanto que fosse confortável pra ela trabalhar, estudar e descansar. Esse foi o resultado. O que me deixa mais feliz é a confiança que ela depositou em mim pra projetar e executar esse projeto. Essa bela casa fica num condomínio em Jacarepaguá e foi comprada pelos pais do Marcelo em 1975, quando ele tinha apenas 3 meses. Antes, eles moravam num apartamento em Copacabana, e, como ele era o terceiro filho, queriam mais espaço para a família. Já morando nela, nasceu a sua irmã. Os vizinhos também estavam ali há muitos anos e se reuniam sempre: era festa junina, Ano Novo e até jogos de Copa do Mundo. Os netos adoravam, curtiam muito a casa.

Entretanto, no ano de 2021, os pais dele resolveram vender a casa. Ela agora é o lar de outra família -- e os momentos felizes ficam eternizados para a do Marcelo.

Courtilz de Sandras, 1701.

Charles Ogier de Batz was born around 1612 in Castelmore near Lupiac in Gascony. He joined the company of musketeers around 1633, taking his mother's name, d'Artagnan, and the title of count. The historical d'Artagnan, the one originally portrayed by Courtilz de Sandras and the one more famously inspired by Alexandre Dumas and Auguste Maquet (Maquet was Dumas closest collaborator and never got the proper credit) have a few things in common. Both the de Sandras and Dumas versions of the real d’Artagnan were cadets from Gascony, who went to Paris to 'take up service' and became courageous and loyal musketeers to the king.

In 1646, the musketeers were dismissed and d'Artagnan entered Mazarin's service as one of his "ordinary gentlemen". His loyalty to the minister and the king during the troubles of the Fronde earned him a number of delicate missions, which revealed his tact and humanity, as well as rewards, such as the position of captain of the King's little dogs hunting deer. When the musketeers were reconstituted, d’Artagnan became a lieutenant in the first company of musketeers (1665), he soon became its captain-lieutenant (1667). It was said that this was the finest position in the kingdom, and D'Artagnan fulfilled it marvellously. His company soon became a model company, as brilliant as it was well trained, and the king congratulated him on several occasions.

It was as captain of the musketeers that d'Artagnan took part in the 1667 campaign in Flanders, with the rank of cavalry brigadier. He was part of Turenne's army, which besieged and captured Lille, and was appointed governor of that city. He was still there in 1672 when the Dutch war broke out. His so-called Memoirs say very little about this episode in his career. Nevertheless, he played an important role in the capital of French Flanders. It was he who had Vauban's plans for the new fortifications of the city carried out.

Dumas and Maquet, somewhat taking artistic licence (see the end of the Vicomte de Bragelonne) portraying d'Artagnan as commanding an army corps in front of the siege of Maastricht. It was there on the battlefield, shortly before the action in which he took part, he received a letter from Colbert, in which the minister announced that the king had just made him Marshal of France. But this is nonsense. The king did not need Colbert's pen to inform the captain of his musketeers of his decision regarding such a great reward; Louis XIV was in command in person before Maastricht, and he could have said to d'Artagnan: "Monsieur, je vous fais maréchal”. But he never said it. D'Artagnan was not yet a lieutenant-general; he only held the rank of marshal of the King's camps and armies.

In any case on 25 June 1673 Captain-Lieutenant d’Artagnan was killed at the siege of Maastricht. Siege warfare could be as dangerous as battlefield combat. As it was, d'Artagnan was not on duty that day, but events shifted, requiring his presence. He was hit in the throat by a stray bullet, which killed him.

The Three Musketeers: D’artagnan (movie, 2023)

I saw this months ago, and only just realized I’d never mentioned it here. I thought The Three Musketeers: D’artagnan was fabulous. Maybe I was brain-addled, or drugged without my knowledge, but by the end of the film I felt happy, and satisfied, and excited, and… just wow. I was floating. I really liked this movie. It’s one of the rare movies I’ve seen that made me immediately want to watch it…

30 minutes sur les prix littéraires et le marché du livre en Belgique francophone, à l'occasion de la remise du Rossel – "Lisez-vous le belge ?" n'est bizaremment pas mentionné.

Présentée par Julie Morelle, l'émission fait appel aussi à une journaliste supplémentaire, Hélène Maquet, qui fait une analyse du marché du livre sur base des chiffres 2022 de l'ADEB (Association des éditeurs belges) à 24:18.

Volume de vente de 273 300 euros. 44% bd et littérature général. Puis littérature jeunesse. 1 livre vendu sur 4 est une BD, 1 livre sur 5 est un roman. Marché en augmentation, ça veut dire quoi ? Le nombre d'exemplaires vendus recule entre 2021 et 2022 de 6% alors que la valeur du marché baisse de 3,8% entre 2021 et 2022. Ça montre une légère augmentation du prix moyen qui arrive à 8,32€ par livre. C'est beaucoup plus bas qu'en 2014 ou en 2019. C'est le livre bon marché qui tire les ventes.

Qu'est-ce qui s'édite en FWB ? Plus d'un tiers de la prod, c'est de la BD puis sciences humaines, scolaire et jeunesse = 96%. Donc très peu de littérature. 10.559 titres mis sur le marché en 2022 par des éditeurs belges. De plus en plus de nouveauté, de moins en moins de rééditions. → Cycle de vie d'un livre se raccourcit. (26:23-27:15)

Ariane Lefort pointe l'honnêteté du prix belge qui ne vogue pas sur l'air du temps, la preuve : ils n'ont pas primé le dernier Lisette Lombé (et bim !). Elle souligne aussi qu'il y a d'autres critères, l'éditeur de "Baisse ton sourire" (éditions DO) n'aurait pas pu répondre à la demande crée par le Rossel, ce qu'Antoine Wauters confirme en disant : "Le problème en Belgique c'est qu'il n'y a plus tellement d'éditeurs professionnels". (DO est français mais bon...)

Le constat général c'est qu'il y a des plus en plus d'auteur·ices et de titres et que les ventes sont soit médiocres (sous les 2000 exemplaires) soit gigantesques (au-dessus des 15000). "Il n'y a plus de classe moyenne [en littérature]" dira Wauters.
