Costa Rica is, first and foremost, a land of insects. But a reasonably close second are birds - so many different brilliantly coloured species, drawing representatives from virtually all orders. Many species from further north in the US and Canada migrate here, and many tropical and South American species make this jungle parade home. We had the coolest experience touring Vanilla Villa spice farm near Quepos! We all got to smell, touch, and taste a variety of spices grown on the farm. 🤩 It felt more like a forest hike than a farm tour, though.
