Dublin-based initiative 'MAKESHAPECHANGE' aims to get young people interested in design: -
"How do you get young people thinking about design? Such a task requires first explaining what design is, exactly, which can be tricky even for adults to grasp. The meaning of design is made delightfully simple in "Shape," a wordless six-minute animation designed and directed by Johnny Kelly forPivot Dublin, a Dublin City Council initiative that applies design thinking to city planning."

If, for one day, you had the power to make the world better, what would you change? A film about design.
"MakeShapeChange is a project to get young people (in fact all people) thinking about how the world is made around them and where design fits in.
At its heart is a short film that shows changes happening before our eyes that we might not normally notice, and how these affect us.
The project was commissioned by Pivot Dublin to promote wider acceptance use of design as a tool for positive change."
By stripping design down to mere stick figures, the concept of design can be easily grasped and thus acknowledged and appreciated.
The website is a great educational tool and information hub. Check out the full 6 minute video and other content here.
