as a shape-changer, amicia has learned to be comfortable in the skin of someone that is different than herself. get to know her personas.
the nightingale : snarky to a fault, makes technical work look like it’s simple as fuck, is able to outsmart most males who would think they’re superior to her, will not refrain to throw a punch if need be, drinks like a fish, is almost always high, can and will steal your social security number / credit card number and use them to fund her video game addiction.
athena grace : smooth-talking, likes the finer things in life, falls into romances easily, keeps men at arm’s length, isn’t afraid of dropping a lot of cash on something she desires, does not let men talk down to her, can charm the pants off of just anyone, and it gets her out of sticky situations more often than not. has not earned a speeding ticket in her entire existence.
lydia hanson : has a little bit of anger issues, is all for righting wrongs and putting things back to a semi-sense of normality. is following in her ‘fathers’ footsteps by becoming a police officer, spends her free time at the gun range, is a master marksman, trained by some of the best army rangers, spits in the face of danger, will not back down from a fight no matter the situation.
leliana mathison : resting bitch face at all times, speaks sarcasm fluently, smokes only malboro lights, prefers wine to whiskey, acts like she’s better than everyone ( and believes as such is true ), gets people to do her bidding rather than doing something for herself, is a spoiled brat at heart and isn’t afraid to flaunt her wealth, always down to fuck someone over, no matter the situation.

Miraculous Barbie: (Non-Platonic) Diamond Castle, with JuleRose
And here we are, the final installment of my Barbie movie adaptation series, with Juleka and Rose as our leads! @imsparky2002 @artzychic27
“A miracle starts whenever you dream!”
CAST:
Rose Lavillant as Liana
Juleka Couffaine as Alexa
Felix Fathom & Adrien Agreste as Jeremy & Ian
Mindy Blumberg as Melody
Daizzi as Sparkles
Roarr as Lily
Nadja Chamack as Lydia
Alec Cataldi as Slyder
Clara Nightingale & Vivica as Dori & Phaedra
And so our story begins…
Far away, in a time long past, in a lovely little cottage in the forest, there lived two girls. Juleka and Rose were their names, and they were deeply in love. They had a beautiful garden that supplied their income by selling the flowers in the village, and they absolutely loved to sing together, their voices blending perfectly in harmony.
One day, as they were tending to their garden, Rose spots something in the stream, and calls Juleka over to look. On the rocky riverbed rest two shining stones of a pinkish-white hue, each in the shape of a perfect heart. They fish them out of the water and decide to make matching necklaces out of them.
But at that moment, the wind starts to pick up and thunder cracks. Almost supernaturally fast, a storm moves in and the two girls run for their house. The storm is strong and fierce, lasting throughout the night, but the girlfriends keep each other’s spirits up by singing together. Rose also presents Juleka with the heart stones, which she turned into matching necklaces.
The next morning when the storm had passed, they exit their house and find their garden completely destroyed. Wood splintered and petals strewn everywhere. Dejected, they try to salvage as much as they can, knowing they’ll have to be tight with money this year, even if they sell all the flowers that survived.
As she often does, Juleka expresses her desire that they could be better off in their living situation, but Rose cheers her up with a few jokes and they head into town. On the way, they come across an old woman who looks absolutely starving, and Rose gives her the food she intended to have for lunch. In return, the woman gifts her an old hand mirror, which while tarnished, is quite ornate and beautiful.
When they’ve returned home, Juleka counts the money they managed to make while Rose cleans the hand mirror, which is revealed to be solid gold with beautiful jewel flowers, making her feel guilty about accepting it from the woman, who likely didn’t know she had something so valuable.
After having their breakfast, they go outside and set to work repairing their garden, singing the songs they’ve written together as always. But on this day, something unusual happens, as they reach the chorus the second time…a third voice joins them! The two girls pause for a moment, only to begin singing again, and again, the new voice joins in. And it seems to be coming from Rose’s basket, in which she had placed the mirror….
Deciding to investigate, they begin singing again, and follow the voice, opening the basket’s lid…to see a girl, singing with them in the mirror. They ask the two girls to sing the song again, and they compliment her on her voice. But when Juleka and Rose ask for their name, the girl suddenly panics and insists that she is nobody and to forget they ever saw her before disappearing. Not wanting her to leave, Juleka and Rose begin singing again, and she can’t resist joining in. Rose asks her not leave, and they say they won’t, because this is too much fun!
But many miles away, in a foreboding cave full of dark magic, a serpent named Alec sees the horn on his head begin to glow, a sign that someone who’s been hiding from his mistress for a long time has made an appearance! Just at that moment, said mistress, Nadja enters with a bombastic musical number about her plans for conquest, berating Alec when he interrupts her with his applause. Alec tells her that he sensed Mindy, the muse apprentice singing somewhere and Nadja immediately sends him to find her, because they have something Nadja needs…
Back at the cottage, the three girls are still having fun singing together. Mindy introduces herself after they do the same. Juleka asks if she has a song she’d like to sing, and Mindy teaches the two their favorite song (see linked song at the bottom). But as they’re singing, Mindy spots Alec in the sky, panicking and yelling that they need to hide. Juleka and Rose race with the mirror into the house, with Juleka racing for the cellar while Rose grabs a decoy mirror to fool the serpent.
Alec breaks into the cottage and begins making a mess of things, including knocking a wooden chair over into the fireplace…. The two girls then exit the cellar and leave the decoy mirror on a table for Alec to find, and he takes the bait, flying off to return to his mistress. Unfortunately, the chair has caught fire and when Juleka and Rose return, their home is nothing but charred framework and ash.
Mindy blames herself for what happened and tells the girls to throw them far away and forget about them. Rose asks what the serpent wants with Mindy, and the girl reluctantly explains. They tell the two that they were an apprentice to the three muses who lived in the Diamond Castle, the birthplace of all music, named such because a diamond appears on the walls each time a new song is sung. But after a time, one of the muses, Nadja, got sick of sharing the spotlight and wanted to be the one and only muse! Clara and Vivica, the other two muses, had refused, believing music to be for everyone!
Nadja found a dark cave filled with evil magic and made it her lair. She transformed her flute with dark magic, giving it the power of darkness and hypnosis. When Nadja returned to take what she wanted by force, Clara and Vivica hid the Diamond Castle along with their magical instruments, giving the key to Mindy in case anything happened to them. They tried to reason with Nadja, but she used her flute to turn them to stone. Fearing for her life, Mindy fled, with Alec chasing them, and used her magic whistle to hide in a nearby hand mirror. But they dropped their whistle, her only means of escape, and Alec broke it, trapping her in the mirror. Today was the first time they’ve even said a word in years, and look what happened…
The two girls comfort Mindy, and assure her they don’t blame her for any of this. Rose asks if Mindy knows where the Diamond Castle is and if Nadja can be stopped. Mindy tells her and Juleka that if they play the muse’s magical instruments, it should be stronger than Nadja’s dark magic. Rose manages to convince a nervous Juleka that they must help Mindy or Nadja will do to other people what she’s done to them. They promise to help Mindy and the three start on their way.
Back at Nadja’s cave, Alec gives Nadja the mirror, and she demands Mindy reveal herself. She soon realizes Alec got the wrong mirror, and angrily berates him. Alec tells her about Mindy’s new companions, and Nadja orders him to take her to them at once.
After miles of traveling, the three girls end up in a valley of beautiful flowers, and decide to stop for a rest. Juleka hears something following them, and they decide to investigate, fearing it could be a snake. But when they go to look, they find an adorable tiger cub and Piglet, who seem to take a liking to them. The girls decide to keep them and give them the names Roaar and Daizzi.
After more hours of walking, they end up in a village, where an innkeeper is irate as he waits for the musicians he hired, who are very late. Juleka and Rose offer to take their place in exchange for some food, and he takes them up on it, as the crowd is getting restless. The girlfriends perform their song together, and are an instant hit. As they’re singing, the originally hired musicians, twin brothers Adrien and Felix, arrive and decide to stay and listen. However, Mindy can’t resist singing along, giving Nadja and Alec a tip what direction to go.
As the two girls are eating the meals they earned, Adrien and Felix approach and jokingly heckle them for taking their gig. The two girls match their snark dead on, before taking their leave. Adrien notices Rose accidentally left her handkerchief behind, and tells Felix they should at least try to return it, and they go to try and find the girls.
However, just a moment too late to catch the girls, Nadja and Alec swoop into the village, entering the inn where Alec sensed Mindy’s singing. She demands to know where the two girls went, and when everyone refuses to answer, she hypnotizes them with her flute and gets what she wants to know by force.
Alec quickly catches up to the girls, and Nadja demands they hand over Mindy, but they refuse. Nadja tries to hypnotize them with her flute, but their heart stone necklaces (which are actually pieces of the Diamond Castle, go figure!) protect them, creating a magical barrier. They refuse when Nadja again demands the mirror, leaving her dumbstruck. Frustrated, she orders Alec to attack them. The serpent gives chase, but Adrien and Felix arrive and give the girls an escape on horseback just in the nick of time. They flee through a wall of vines into a cave and Felix incites a rock slide that leaves Alec with a likely concussion.
The two girls thank the twins for the save, and proper introductions are exchanged. It’s then that Mindy pipes up from the mirror, asking how Juleka and Rose were immune to Nadja’s magic, leaving the two boys wondering what exactly they’ve gotten themselves into. Nevertheless, they decide to accompany the girls and lend a hand.
They take the girls to a river they need to travel in order to reach the castle, with the twin’s suggesting they avoid the bridge listed on a sign, seeming quite dodgy for some reason…The girls decide to look for the bridge anyway, telling the twins they’ll catch up. But at that moment, Roarr and Daizzi run off, leaving Juleka and Rose to chase after him. When they catch up, they find their pets have been apprehended by a nasty old troll. Rose demands he let the baby animals go, but he only mocks her in return. The twins followed them, and the troll recognizes them. Turns out they tried to cross his bridge but failed to solve his riddle, barely escaping with their lives, which the troll intended to rectify, trapping the two boys in a pit.
Rose manages to strike a deal with the troll, if they answer his riddle correctly, he lets Adrien and Felix go, but if they fail, he has dinner for two nights! The troll agrees, and poses his riddle: What instrument can you hear, but can't see and can't touch? The girls are stumped for a moment, before Rose has an idea. The answer to the riddle is your voice! You can’t see it or touch it, but when you sing, everyone can hear it! Furious that they answered correctly, the troll implodes in a puff of smoke as the bridge appears and the twins climb out of the pit. The girls step onto the bridge, but it recedes before the boys can follow. Rose tells the twins to meet them at the Seven Stones, where they’ll find the Diamond Castle.
After hours and hours of walking, Juleka is exhausted, but Rose spots smoke rising from a chimney. They make their way to a beautiful manor, and are greeted by two servants who claim that the manor and everything in it belongs to them. The two are blown away, but know they can’t stay…until Juleka finds a note addressed to her. In the note, Nadja says to Juleka that she did a little research and found her family. It shows a magical image of Juleka’s brother Luka and her mother Anarka as stone statues in Nadja’s lair. And unless Juleka convinces Rose to stay in the manor and hands over Mindy’s mirror, they’ll stay like this forever.
Desperate to save her family, Juleka tries to convince Rose to remain in the manor, struggling to tell her why. Angry that her girlfriend would abandon Mindy when they promised to help her, Rose leaves the manor with the mirror and Daizzi, leaving a distraught Juleka alone. Just moments after Juleka removes her necklace in despair, who should appear at the door but Nadja and Alec. They take Juleka back to the lair, and Nadja places her under her hypnotic spell (which now works as she’s not wearing the heart stone necklace), and sends Alec after Rose when Juleka reveals her location against her will.
The serpent abducts the blonde and takes her to the lair, where she’s tied up. She calls the spelled Juleka out to upset Rose, before taking the mirror. When Mindy refuses to come out, Nadja orders to Juleka to walk towards the edge of a cliff, saying she’ll only stop her if Mindy asks. Rose cries desperately for her girlfriend to stop, but Juleka only responds to Nadja while under the spell. Just before Juleka can walk over the edge, Mindy appears and cries out for Nadja to stop her. Mindy demands the release of her friends, which Nadja states will only happen if the apprentice takes her to the Diamond Castle. Seeing no other choice, Mindy agrees.
Alec cuts Rose loose, and she immediately rushes to Juleka…only for the serpent to knock them both over the edge of the cliff, supposedly into the boiling lava below, before leaving to follow his mistress. Thankfully, Rose catches them on a log, saving both of their lives. But Juleka is still under Nadja’s spell.
Meanwhile, at the Seven Stones, Mindy is trying to stall Nadja as much as she can, making up a lie that the key to the castle is to place diamonds in one of the stones in a certain order. Thankfully, Nadja believes her, giving them a little more time.
Adrien and Felix arrive at the Seven Stones with no sign of the girls, but are alerted that something is wrong when Daizzi runs up to them in a panic, rushing them along somewhere. The piglet takes them in the direction of the cave, as Rose tearfully holds the still-mesmerized Juleka. But thankfully, Roaar brought along Juleka’s necklace! And when Rose places it on her, the spell is broken. The two exchange apologies and share a kiss out of relief, before Rose explains that Nadja took Mindy and is on her way to the castle. It’s then that the twins arrive and they make a plan to stop Nadja.
Back at the Seven Stones, Nadja finishes placing the diamonds, but the castle doesn’t appear. Angrily, she accuses Mindy of lying to her, just as the twins and the girls arrive and put their plan into action. Adrien and Felix begin to play their guitars to draw Alec away, while Juleka and Rose sneak up on Nadja. While the boys keep the serpent occupied, Nadja’s magic is ineffectual as both girls have their necklaces again…but they don’t let her know that. Acting as if they are under her spell, they come at Nadja’s command, but instead of diving into the now swirling waters of a nearby pond as she ordered, Rose steals Nadja’s flute.
Quickly grabbing the mirror, Nadja threatens to smash it and get rid of Mindy for good if they don’t hand over her flute. But before they can comply, Mindy smashes the mirror herself, keeping Nadja from regaining her power and getting the key to the Diamond Castle! Irritated, Nadja tosses the mirror away, and goes to grab her flute, only for Rose to throw it to Juleka, who then tosses it into the water. Nadja dives after it, but the flute is clogged with water and she is overwhelmed by the magic used to create the whirlpool, seeming to be pulled under for good. The twins, having dealt with Alec, rejoin them as they all mourn the loss of Mindy.
Rose believes that if they can find the castle and play the magical instruments, it may bring Mindy back! It’s then that Juleka remembers the words to Mindy’s song, and thinks that it may be the key to the Diamond Castle! So the two begin to sing the tune, and sure enough, the stunning castle rises from the waters of the lake!
As they enter the castle, not only do Juleka and Rose’s clothes get transformed into stunning dresses, but Mindy is released from the mirror and the three girls share a hug. Mindy then leads everyone into the castle, where they find the magical instruments! But just as that moment, Nadja reappears riding Alec, having not drowned after all, and prepares to destroy them. But Rose and Juleka grab them just in time, and playing the magical instruments and singing along with Mindy, Nadja’s own evil spell is reflected back at her, turning both her and Alec to stone!
With Nadja imprisoned forever, Clara and Vivica, along with Juleka’s mother and brother, are released from their stone prisons, and the muses return to the Diamond Castle, giving the two musicians a ride to see their sister/daughter.
Happily reunited, Vivica and Clara officially appoint Mindy as the third muse, and name Juleka and Rose princesses of music. (Adrien and Felix get some pretty sweet guitars!) It’s then that the girls decide to return home, with Mindy promising to visit, and the muses gifting them magical seeds that repair their home and grow flowers made of gold and jewels, which make them more than enough money. (Adrien also meets Luka, who he finds more than a little cute!) The two girls return to their peaceful life, loving every moment and singing all the way!
And they all lived happily ever after!
The sweetest sound will always be, two voices singing one song! Leave your thoughts in the comments and reblogs and I hope you’ve enjoyed this series!

Introduction Post
Hello, my name is CJ Nightingale, and this is my blog dedicated to my OCs, their story, and the development of said story!! I'm making this blog for the sake of having a designated place to talk about my OCs, and so that I have some people to hold me accountable for actually making story progress, since I've been struggling a bit to actually sit down and make progress on getting the comic going. I think having a blog about it will help me stay motivated. Hopefully. Lol
A little bit of story related information:
This story has over 36 very important characters, not including antagonists and "true" side characters. This story takes place over the course of about 7 or 8 years, in 5 acts, taking the characters from middle school into early college. It's based in what I believe would be described as an "urban fantasy" setting, which looks similar to our world but is quite different. The story is meant to be mostly lighthearted, but there will be very intense moments and emotional damage (and a little blood sometimes too, as there will be fantasy violence).
I will make proper posts describing things in more detail as I go, but for the time being here's a brief introduction to each of the main characters:
Skylar: Acts 1-5, sarcastic, takes no BS, a bit of an enigma, Lukas' twin
Jesse: Acts 1-5, scatterbrained, just out here doing his best
Rin: Acts 1-5, mischievous, enjoys trying new things
Zander: Acts 1-5, smart, unbothered, designated "responsible dude"
Tabitha: Acts 1-5, bubbly, arguably too much faith in humanity
Lukas: Acts 1-5, looks more chill than he actually is, emotionally intelligent (most of the time), Skylar's twin
Lydia: Acts 1-5, too smart for her own good, very good with power tools
Marcus: Acts 1-5, quiet, listens a lot and knows more than he should, arguably drinks too much caffeine
Jules: Acts 2-5, highly approachable and talkative, likes poofy dresses
Dillon: Acts 2-5, skeptical of people, likes roller derby, hates group projects
Takuma: Acts 2-5, Ambitious, sarcastic, has doodled on every piece of clothing they own
Mariah Mae: (Kind of a side character) Acts 2-5, wildly peppy, a bit of a nerd, highly authentic person
Rea: Acts 2-5, perpetually has her head in the clouds, bewildered by humans
Dani: Acts 2-5, highly intuitive, knows all the things, likes music and their service dog
Booker: Acts 2-5, tends to accidentally run his mouth, likes basketball, bass guitar, and his friends
Ollie: Acts (1) 3-5, a little bit reactive, closed off, terrifyingly good at sleight of hand and at lying (do not play poker with him)
Meklit: Acts (1) 3-5, levelheaded, blunt, likes people and dislikes shoes
Gavin: Acts 3-5, both lawyer smart and a bit naïve, cellist, keeps putting himself in situations by accident
Goldie: Acts (1) 3-5, a bit shy, puts a lot of pressure on himself but looks really really chill at all times, chronic doodler
Blake: Acts 1-5, very antsy, very tired, very full of nervous energy, makes some poor decisions
Zaahira: Acts 4-5, genuinely nice person, cares about people, prefers plants
Wulf: Acts (3???) 4-5, impulsive, giggly, just happy to be here, on the run from the government
Akachi: Acts (1) 3-5, extremely ambitious, aesthetically inclined, color coordinated at all times
Selene: Acts 4-5, high tolerance for shenanigans, very bubbly, just out here having a good time
Sakura: Acts 4-5, detail oriented, loves stickers, can borderline read minds/hj
Remi: Acts 4-5 (probably??? gonna have to figure that out a bit more), very smart, very sarcastic, very giggly, very happy to be here
Leah: Acts 1-5, insomniac, a bit pretentious, makes some poor decisions
Sylvi: Acts (1) 3-5, borderline annoying theatre kid in the best way possible, very good singer
Karim: (Arguably a side character) Acts 4-5 (maybe idk), arguably too much faith in humanity, enjoys puns
Jono: Acts (3) 5, loves music, loses his train of thought frequently, looks more nervous than he is
Ivanna: Acts (3) 5, tough, good at water polo, believes in doing the right thing
Sovanna: Acts (3) 4-5, super chill, loves stickers, loves travelling, detail oriented
Ash: Act 5, under a ton of pressure, a bit reactive, out here trying his best
Coral: Act 5, can be hard to talk to, big listener, takes herself very seriously
Sib: (arguably a side character) Act 5, way too much energy at all times, good sense of humor, Ari's twin
Ari: (arguably a side character) Act 5, tired, quiet, talks more to animals than he does people
So that's a brief introduction to the non-antagonist characters, I'll make actual introduction posts for them later, but also if y'all want to ask questions about any of them before I get to that lmk!! Also feel free to ask questions about anything related to this story, I'd be happy to talk about it, and it might motivate me to help get stuff done.
If you found this blog just randomly and not from my fanart page, you can find that at @cj-the-random-artist , and you can find my website which has more art of my OCs at the link down here:
If / when I start uploading this story as a comic, I'll update this post with that information as well. That's all for this long introductory post, and I hope y'all enjoy this long winded thing and enjoy this little blog here!! Have good day lovelies :D

Happy Birthday actress Laura Fraser, born July 24th 1976 in Glasgow.
Laura attended Hillhead High School and is a former member of the Scottish Youth Theatre. She trained at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.
During her time there, she got a supporting role in Gillies MacKinnon's film Small Faces. This was on top of a couple of other minor roles she had taken (such as 'Big Day for the Bad Guys). The college authorities took a pretty dim view of the amount of professional work she had been taking on, questioning her commitment to the course.
Having not been enjoying her time at the Academy, and encouraged by her parents, she dropped out after a year and moved to London.
Later on, she has appeared in numerous films in supporting roles, but always noticeable as lead characters. All these roles have demonstrated her versatility in characterisation and style to the full.
From the fantasy of ‘Neverwhere’, a comedy of ‘Virtual Sexuality’, the Shakespearean drama of ‘Titus’, emotional drama of ‘Forgive and Forget’ and slapstick of ‘Kevin and Perry’. She effortlessly adapts to all the genres, very seldom was she cast as characters with her native Scottish accent.
After appearing in the 2003 Irish comedy, Coney Island Baby, Laura relocated to the US where she married Irish-born American author actor and club owner Michael Geary,.
She landed a role in the well regarded US TV movie, Iron Jawed Angels. In early 2005, Laura returned to live in Glasgow with her husband and stepdaughter, and a desire to start a family and focus on local work. She found she was pregnant in late 2005, and spent time working as a choreographer on a pantomime written by her father 'Oh Yes He Is!' for the charity Sense Scotland.
In May 2006 she and Karl became proud parents of a baby girl. Laura intended to not work for 12 months and be a full-time mum, but by September 2006 she was back making a film for the BBC.
Other TV roles for Laura include, Casanova, Ian Rankin's Reichenbach Falls and Florence Nightingale and her role in the US series Breaking Bad and spinn-off Better Call Saul as Lydia Rodarte-Quayle.
Laura maybe a star over the pond nowadays, but she has also been cast in some great shows based in Scotland, including Traces with Martin Compston, and Crime with Ken Stott and Dougray Scott, the second season is due on screens in September.

A, D, Q
aaaa thank you so much!!! since I was just answering about one TES character, i'll keep it rolling and talk about mort 🥰
Tumblr media
A. What nicknames do they get called?
so his full name is Morten Iversen, and depending on the AU i've put him in, different people call him different names agjfhgkd so in most non-TES AUs, Francis calls him Mort or "Big Guy," Farric and Roman call him Iversen because they're catty about him early on and then the name just sticks, Sheo calls him Mortie or "Little Dragon," and i think that's about it!
D. What was their high school experience like?
in some of the modern AUs @renmorris and i share, we've established that he is very Tall and Quiet in high school and that's already an unfortunate combination because you get ousted as the weird guy in class. he came out as gay during those years and had a few boyfriends, but he probably had a relatively bad time because kids LOVE making fun of you for being gay and teachers HATE protecting you in a serious capacity. the guys he dated also were not very nice to him :( but it's in these AUs that he also met Serana and Lydia in high school and they did everything together 💖
Q. Do they have a signature look or fashion?
in TES, he's always wearing either the nightingale armor or the daedric armor. for a while he was wearing the stahlrim armor, but i decided that he likes how he looks in the daedric armor better if he's going to wear something heavy. in modern AUs, i always put him in dark jeans, a jean jacket with the fluffy inner lining, a plaid, long sleeve button up shirt, and dark boots to tuck his jeans into. he's like an NPC, that's all he wears
Tumblr media
thank you for asking!! hope you enjoyed learning about my dragonborn 🥰 i think you mentioned before that you're also into TES, so i hope this was interesting!!

when i play skyrim i usually go back & forth between choosing a bosmer & dunmer rogue-like with a lot of their skill points put towards archery, speech, & the sneaking skill trees (like lockpicking & pickpocketing). mostly i start out this way, with my points put towards those sneaking skill trees so that it makes it easier for them to pass those skill checks, but then i also like to keep an off-hand weapon (like a dagger or one-hand sword) & level the one-handed perk alongside light armor for close encounters bc i don't always have a follower with me before this more recent run (mainly BECAUSE of my playstyle bc i preferred more quiet & i would forget that lydia LOVES to stomp around & charge enemies & traps &get us both killed mwah)
i NEVER touch any of the magic perks bc i get bored with the playstyle of being a mage. it works for other people but i cannot do it mwah. the extent of my using magic was using summons USUALLY HAHA
still figuring out my current run tbh!!!!
hmm my favorite faction... i like the nightingales from the thieves guild quest ! also it is ALWAYS fun to do the dark brotherhood quests so i suppose them too.
as for favorite mods ! im trying to remember what all are mods & what arent haha. my brother put in a few mods on my console back when we still shared it so ive been playing w my game like this for YEARS that idk what is vanilla & what isnt.
many of my mods are like. visuals, immersion, stuff like that, HOWEVER, i am a very big fan of the alternate start mod, even if i can NEVER choose how i would like to start. i just added follower mods so i am !!! having fun with those !!! trying this campfire mod & bc i like to play survival mode it adds to the experience. <3 & figuring out this character overhaul mod too bc it SOUNDS cool i like the concept HOWEVER i have yet to properly use it </3

I was tagged by @miraakulous-cloud-district (thank you so much!!!💖) to play this lovely ask game of hers about my Skyrim original character, Jia, so here we go!
1. What's your oc's favourite tavern?
Born and raised in Whiterun, Jia's favorite tavern will always be the Bannered Mare. When she was around fourteen/fifteen years of age, Vilkas and Farkas took her there to introduce her fully to what it really meant to have fun in the Nordic way: listening to the bards' sagas and heroic deeds written in ballads, singing traditional folk songs, and watching others gulping tankards of ale or mead (until she came of age and tasted alcohol herself!😁). She has many beautiful memories from this tavern, and when her Dragonborn duties force her to stay away from Whiterun for too long, the Bannered Mare is one of the places Jia always recalls with utmost adoration and fondness!
2. What about their favourite beverage?
Jia is quite a drinker; she loves a refined beverage every once in a while to lighten her mood and make herself less agitated and more loose and easygoing, so what she enjoys the most is a bottle of fruity mead with a splash of honey inside!
3. Who do they travel with?
Before she met Miraak, Jia was mostly traveling alone. It was not that she did not appreciate the company of Lydia or the Companions who always offered themselves to assist her, but she did not want to put their lives at risk, as her adventures were, most of the time, dangerous and life-threatening even for the strongest. So, just like Billie Joe Armstrong, Jia walked a lonely road.😂 (Only Solstheim was an exception, where she reluctantly let Teldryn Sero accompany her on her travels, for it was a land completely foreign and she did need guidance––and from then, the Dunmer mercenary became one of her best friends!)
Now, after she met Miraak, the First Dragonborn simply became the shadow of the Last (perhaps and the other way around), so Jia never traveled alone again.
4. Are they wealthy? How do they make money?
Jia is a Companion, a thief, a trouble-solver/adventurer who sometimes offers her sword services for money, a Thane of many Holds of Skyrim, and a massive merchant of precious trinkets, baubles, and gemstones. She certainly isn't poor, but she is neither greedy nor prodigal with her fortune. She prefers to spend her coins only on her books, her food, and the people she loves. Her income mostly comes from her personal expeditions-travels, usually after clearing a Nordic ruin (or house?😌), after some draugrrobbing, or when she works for the Companions (or the Thieves Guild?😌) and they send her on a specific mission in which she gets rewarded accordingly.
5. Do they worship any aedra or daedra?
Jia worships all the Nine Divines, despite being half Imperial, but the Aedra she is entirely devoted to is, for obvious reasons, the Father of Dragons, Akatosh, in whose shrine often she prays or offers flowers and meditation. She is smart enough not to worship any Daedra, even though her ties with the Thieves Guild have made her quite close to Nocturnal, but in contrast with the canon, Jia did not accept to become a Nightingale like Brynjolf and Karliah, so her soul belongs only to Sovngarde and Shor's Hall. She likes Meridia and Azura too, whose weapons she does wield, but without spreading their religion.
6. What is their biggest fear?
Jia's biggest fear is not being able of having control of a situation, as well as losing her loved ones. As loss and grief have become her shadows from a very young age, Jia has grown quite fearful of another potential loss, and so she is overprotective and willing to sacrifice herself for the ones she holds dear.
7. Any pet peeves?
Those who oppress and torture, who deprive Skyrim of liberty, free will, and equality, and view themselves as above everyone else; in one word––Thalmor; Jia hates the Thalmor.
8. Do they like being dragonborn? Or do they see it as a burden?
She is rather conflicted about this. Jia was plagued by visions about the prophecy of Alduin's return and the Last Dragonborn's awakening from her adolescent years. She was frequently falling into weird daydreams–– hearing warning whispers in her head, suffering from hallucinations of the World-Eater's black wings swallowing the world, to the point she unsettled the Companions who decided to take her to the Temple of Kynareth. The Priestesses there did try to understand what was wrong with Jia's trance, though they concluded that the child was marked by the Gods without giving further explanations. Later, when she discovered she was Dragonborn, she was just out of a very traumatic experience, so for some time, Jia had linked this power she had with burden and even malice. But, as she grew up, and followed the training of Paarthurnax (who Jia adores as a father), she gradually came to terms with her nature, and even though she still worries about her draconic instincts overwhelming the human side of hers, Jia is deeply proud of her dragon soul, especially after she vanquished Alduin and completed her destiny.
9. Favourite Skyrim faction?
The Companions always come first in Jia's mind. Jorrvaskr was the place her mother was born and grew up, and so was Jia afterward, so practically, they are her family. But she enjoys the company of her fellow thieves too, and in the Guild Jia has also a lot of dear friends! 🥰
10. Any object they carry with high sentimental value?
A woolen blanket woven by her mother is Jia's most valued object. When Jia's mother was pregnant, her father had foreseen the child his wife carried was a girl (I won't tell how and why yet😌). He had even given Jia a name before she was born, and so her mother started to sew this blanket for her unborn baby girl, upon which, almost instinctively, stitched a very specific depiction of a crescent––a silver moon and a golden sun growing together. Jia is the sun, but as for the moon... You can go read my fic!😌
11. What about hobbies?
Generally, when she has free time, Jia likes to spend it inside her beloved Heljarchen Hall. As a scholarly little thing, she enjoys sitting for hours inside her library tower and reading or practicing her skill in potions as she is an aspiring alchemist, too. On other days, she loves taking after her little garden, watering and planting her flowers, and gathering her fresh vegetables and legumes. Or, she can be found above the roof tiles along with her swallows, soaking herself in the sunlight!☀️
12. Favourite Skyrim city?
By far Whiterun as she grew up there and maintains the most carefree, beautiful memories of her childhood! And generally, she loves smaller and warmer cities, so she may like visiting Riften as she simply adores the whole Rift as a Hold (and who can blame her? The color of those leaves on the trees, the vibrant forests! Simply majestic!). Falkreath is another city she visits often, mostly for sentimental reasons as it is quite close to the borders of her father's homeland, Cyrodiil, and then Morthal because, despite its gloominess, the nearby marshes are rich in all those alchemy ingredients she is delighted to hoard inside her satchels!😝
Now for the tags! I tag @kiir-do-faal-rahhe @b-lizi @illumiera @prettytamagnii @cheeseandstrawberrytartlover and whoever sees this game and wants to participate of course! 🥰

All of your wips sound really cool!! I’d love to hear about them if your open to sharing details!! (No pressure though.) (This is my main blog because my writing blog won’t let me send asks lol)
Thank you so much! <3 I'd be happy to share some things.
~
The Winner, The Girl in the Mirror, and Black Friday are all still in the conceptual stage and came about very recently.
~
The Winner: My husband and I recently bought lottery tickets, and I lamented that the only way I ever win anything is if I don't want to win. That conjured an idea of a woman who legitimately doesn't want to win the lottery winning it, and then having to deal with the fallout of becoming a multimillionaire overnight. Spoiler: It's a nightmare - people wanting money for various things even if they don't know her that well, trying to scam or rob her, and basically turning her life into a living hell.
~
The Girl in the Mirror: Of all places, the idea came from an Annapantsu video where apparently one of her friends said they had a crush on the mirror from Shrek. This led to the idea of a girl falling in love with a soul trapped in a mirror.
I'm still debating on whether or not I want this to be romance or horror (or even both), so this one's chilling in the back of the line for now.
~
Black Friday: This idea came from a Tumblr post about treating Black Friday as the Purge for retail employees (I can't find the link for this one, sorry). It just clicked in my head that a determined killer could potentially use Black Friday as a way to get a bunch of people into a confined space and massacre them all. So that's what it's going to be - a fun slasher story about a former retail employee taking out his aggression on a bunch of people on Black Friday.
~
Eternity and Labyrinth are further along in their development. They've got full cast lists, roadmaps, and - importantly - I've started writing their manuscripts.
Labyrinth is a deadly game story about a bunch of people being placed in a maze filled with traps and tests, with only one being ultimately allowed to leave. This idea came about because I love the deadly game genre, but it seems to be drying up right now and I can only watch Saw/Would You Rather/Battle Royale so many times before I need something new.
This one's taking a little bit longer because I'm deciding which exact traps I want to be in which exact places, but I have almost everything planned out and the story started, and I'm excited about the carnage that's going to ensue.
~
Eternity is the longest-standing WIP. It originated a few years ago when I did NYC Midnight's Screenwriting competition (side note: Don't do this). I don't remember the exact prompt (I think it was like a news anchor or something), but the genre was Romantic Comedy, which was like a death sentence for Edgy Younger Nightingale.
To compensate, I wrote a story about two young women named Ilsa and Lydia. Ilsa was a news reporter who'd been dead for a year, and Lydia was the former intern who was still alive and pining for Ilsa. Lydia tried to bring Ilsa back to life, only to botch the ritual and wind up in the underworld while still alive.
In its current form, it's still a romance, just with less comedy and more macabre elements (Ex. Lydia has to return to the living world within a certain amount of time or else she'll prematurely die). Lydia kept her name, but Ilsa's name has changed to Elesa. And it's more about understand love and what "for eternity" really means.

Thank you for asking! Feel free to ask questions about my wips any time! <3

For Mr. Feral Boy Fae 👀🔪
8, 11, 12, 20, 38
oc questions.
alright back at it with the questions. my elfy disaster, my Faenrir.
--
8. Do they collect anything? If so what and why?
Oh he sure does, haha. There’s no one specific thing, in general Fae just likes to collect. He loves exploring tombs despite how much draugr skeeve him out because there’s always cool stuff to loot, be it weapons, books, artifacts… you name it. It’s why him and Fralia in Whiterun get on so well, cause he too has a penchant for trinkets, odds and ends lmao. Faenrir loves all things shiny and no coin, jewel, or jewelry is safe from him (and that is NOT limited to snatching those things from tombs, watch your belongings carefully). His ‘collecting’ has only gotten worse since obtaining a house. He convinced himself to put down roots and buy property and so now he has all this space he needs to fill with pretty things (cue signing from Lydia/Stenvar/whoever Fae is traveling with at the time as he stuffs even MORE into his pack (or worse, their pack) on their latest adventure).
11. Do they have any addictions?
Okay so I’m not for certain that this is ~Fae Canon~ lol, but I have considered one potential. Faenrir goes through a uhhh, real rough patch for an extended amount of time. He’s abandoned the first person he loved honestly because being that serious freaked him out and he didn’t want to get said person mixed up in his complicated/dangerous bs, he’s wound up in a few situations that have made him feel like he’s really incompetent at defending/unable to defend himself, and then on top of everything, he gets wrapped up in a complicated assassination plot that ends with him being stabbed in the back and many people he’s grown to see as family dead, so he’s just kind of… over all things Skyrim and looking to escape for a while. And while he physically does that, disappearing off the map to lay low in Solsteim for a while, there’s also a way to do that less literally… Fae sure has found and claimed to dispose of a lot of skooma since the first time he came upon it…
Besides that and 100% Fae Canon, he’s just addicted to sweets lmao. He will share everything else because love is stored in the shared food, but not his pastries.
12. Do they have any sense of style? Regardless of the answer do they believe they have a sense of style?
Faenrir thinks he looks good, regardless of what he wears haha. He’s used to the lightweight clothing mixed in with bits of leather armor that he’d wear in Valenwood, and he wasn’t above adding on some ornamentation for a bit of flair (a not so necessary sash under some leather straps, attaching a charm or some bit or bob that he’s picked up, jewelry…). All this is usually paired with some sort of hood, too, because you gotta make yourself mysterious if you’re gonna be doing sneaky crimes, but it served him well once he got to Skyrim, because he caught on to the… racial tensions real quick, and thought it best to keep the elf thing at least a little concealed. Settling in Skyrim also meant a little bit of adjustment due to the change in climate/overall having to deal with more variations in weather and temperature, but he’s mostly stuck to the same look, just with more layering involved haha. He wears a lot of full armor now though, due to the nature of his… adventures, but he still sticks to light armor (the nightingale armor is his bff lmao).
20. Do they have a strong connection to their culture?
Not so much. Even before he left Valenwood Fae wasn’t super ingrained in the culture. The big thing would be that he’s never super strictly followed the Green Pact. He’s pretty ~modern~, much to the disappointment of his parents, who are at least a little more on the traditional side, and if anything, that just made Fae try to break away all the more. But pretty much any tradition went out the window once he started… traveling, and that’s been better for him for the most part. Too many negative memories tied to his homeland and his people. But becoming best friends with a wood elf living in Skyrim who still has an appreciation for their culture, as well as Fae eventually reconnecting with the one family member of his that he actually likes, ends up with Faenrir starting to reforge some of those ties.
38. What are their dreams like? Do they have any recurring dreams/nightmares?
Be it dreams or nightmares, there’s usually lots of running evolved. Sometimes there’s an obvious threat, sometimes not. Sometimes it’s the ability to go and go and go, sometimes it feels like he’s running through a pool of water that’s dragging him him back and slowing him down. But always so much running… Maybe there’s a very literal translation to Fae’s penchant for doing just that, for running away as first instinct, but if course he’s not gonna see it that way. He’ll tell you any sort of dream interpretation is garbage anyway.
